| 1 | Hepatitis B virus,HBx mutants and their role in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is one of the leading causes of death induced by cancer in the modern world and majority of the cases are related to chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection.HBV-encoded X protein(HBx)is known to play a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of viral induced HCC.HBx is a multifunctional protein of17 kDa which modulates several cellular processes by direct or indirect interaction with a repertoire of host factors resulting in HCC.HBX might interfere with several cellular processes such as oxidative stress,DNA repair,signal transduction,transcription,protein degradation,cell cycle progression and apoptosis.A number of reports have indicated that HBx is one of the most common viral ORFs that is often integrated into the host genome and its sequence variants play a crucial role in HCC.By mutational or deletion analysis it was shown that carboxy terminal of HBx has a likely role in protein-protein interactions,transcriptional transactivation,DNA repair,cell,signaling and pathogenesis of HCC.The accumulated evidence thus far suggests that it is difficult to understand the mechanistic nature of HBx associated HCC,and HBx mediated transcriptional transactivation and signaling pathways may be a major determinant.This article addresses the role of HBx in the development of HCC with particular emphasis on HBx mutants and their putative targets. | Ashraf Ali Hany Abdel-Hafiz Mohd Suhail Amany Al-Mars Mohammad Khalid Zakaria Kaneez Fatima Sultan Ahmad Esam Azhar Adeel Chaudhary Ishtiaq Qadri | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,30: | 29 |

| 3 | Rapunzel syndrome:The unsuspected culprit显示文摘Trichobezoar is a rare intriguing disorder in which swallowed hairs accumulates in the stomach. Being indigestible and slippery, it could not be propulsed and becomes entrapped within the stomach. Large amounts can thus accumulate over the years forming a hair ball. Rapunzel syndrome is a variant where hair accumulation reaches the small gut and beyond in some cases. Although the syndrome has been known for many years, only 24 cases have been reported in the literature and the discovery of a new case is always surprising. In this report, we present two cases discovered within a period of three months. One of them was pregnant and had small bowel intussusception and perforation, a very rare combination. We hereby add two more cases to the literature. | 12 | Assessment of circulating levels of microRNA-326,microRNA-424,and microRNA-511 as biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma in Egyptians显示文摘BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the fifth most common cancer.Differential expression of microRNAs(miRNAs)-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 has been associated with the diagnosis and prognosis of HCC in different populations.However,limited information is available regarding their expression in Egyptian HCC patients.AIM To assess the role of circulating miRNAs-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 in Egyptian HCC patients.METHODS This prospective observational study included 70 HCC patients and 25 healthy controls.The circulating levels of these three miRNAs were evaluated by real-time PCR.Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was used to test the diagnostic accuracy of micro RNA expression levels.RESULTS All miRNAs were differentially expressed in HCC patients;miRNAs326 and miRNA-424 were upregulated,while miRNA-511 was downregulated.Both miRNA-326 and miRNA-424 showed sensitivity and specificity of 97%,71.4%,and 52%,60%,respectively,to differentiate HCC from controls.Moreover,miRNA-326 was associated with survival and could differentiate between Child grades(A vs B);miRNA-424 significantly differentiated early vs intermediate stages of HCC;while miRNA-511 was significantly correlated with response to modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(m RECIST).CONCLUSION We conclude that miRNA-326,miRNA-424,and miRNA-511 have diagnostic and prognostic roles in Egyptian patients with hepatitis C virus-related HCC and should be considered for better disease management. | Samar Samir Youssef Asmaa Elfiky Mohamed M Nabeel Hend Ibrahim Shousha Tamer Elbaz Dalia Omran Mohammad Saeed Marie Mohammad A Elzahry Amr Abul-Fotouh Ahmed Hashem Mohamed F Guda Ashraf O Abdelaziz | 2022 | World Journal of Hepatology2022,14,8: | 1 |

| 18 | Determining the effect of Plantago major L. and Rosa damascene herbal ointment for bedsore healing显示文摘Background:Bedsores are damage or loss of skin integrity due to prolonged pressure which there are several ways to treat and prevent them.The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Plantago major L.and Rosa damascene herbal ointment for bedsore healing in hospitalized patients.Methods:This clinical trial study was accomplished with 100 patients divided into control(50 patients)and intervention(50 patients)groups.The control group had received routine treatment(dressing with Comfeel),but the intervention group only had received herbal ointment and then both groups were compared with each other through the pressure ulcer scale for healing(PUSH)tool.Results:The mean and standard deviation of recovery time in the Comfeel group was 27.40±12.467 and in the herbal ointment group was 21.57±12.695.In the pre-intervention evaluation,the mean and standard deviation of the PUSH score in the herbal ointment group was 10.44±0.323 while in the last evaluation in the same group it was 0.68±0.288 but in the Comfeel group,in the pre-intervention evaluation,the mean and standard deviation of the PUSH score was 10.68±0.317,while in the last evaluation it was 1.98±0.472.The highest frequency of bedsores in the study units was in the sacral region(49%)and the lowest frequency was in the sole of the foot with 1%.Conclusion:The results showed that Plantago major L.and Rosa damascene herbal ointment was effective in accelerating recovery time and wound healing. | Ashraf Salehi Mohammad Taheri Hamid Momeni Morteza Bakhshesh Davood Azadi Abdorrahim Absalan Mahdieh Azizi Amirhossein Latifi | 2022 | Aging Communications2022,4,4: | 0 |

| 20 | Multi-objective vendor managed inventory system with interval type-2 fuzzy demand and order quantities显示文摘Purpose-The proposed IT2FMOVMI model intends to concurrently minimize total cost and warehouse space for the single vendor-retailer,multi-item and a consolidated vendor store.Regarding demand and order quantities with the deterministic and type-1 fuzzy numbers,we have also formulated the classic/crisp MOVMI model and type-1 fuzzy MOVMI(T1FMOVMI)model.The suggested solution technique can solve both crisp MOVMIand T1FMOVMIproblems.By finding the optimal ordered quantities and backorder levels,the Paretofronts are constructed to form the solution sets for the three models.Design/methodology/approach-A multi-objective vendor managed inventory(MOVMI)is the most recognized marketing and delivery technique for the service provider and the retail in the supply chain in Industry 4.0.Due to the evolving market conditions,the characteristics of the individual product,the delivery period and the manufacturing costs,the demand rate and order quantity of the MOVMI device are highly unpredictable.In such a scenario,a MOVMI system with a deterministic demand rate and order quantity cannot be designed to estimate the highly unforeseen cost of the problem.This paper introduces a novel interval type-2 fuzzy multi-objective vendor managed inventory(IT2FMOVMI)system,which uses interval type-2 fuzzy numbers(IT2FNs)to represent demand rate and order quantities.As the model is an NP-hard,the well-known meta-heuristic algorithm named NSGA-II(Non-dominated sorted genetic algorithm-II)with EKM(Enhanced Karnink-Mendel)algorithm based solution method has been established.Findings-The experimental simulations for the five test problems that demonstrated distinct conditions are considered from the real-datasets of SAPCO company.Experimental study concludes that T1FMOVMI and crisp MOVMI schemes are outclassed by IT2FMOVMI model,offering more accurate Pareto-Fronts and efficiency measurement values.Originality/value-Using fuzzy sets theory,a significant amount of work has been already done in past decades from various points of views to model the MOVMI.However,this is the very first attempt to introduce type-2 fuzzy modelling for the problem to address the realistic implementation of the imprecise parameters. | Zubair Ashraf Mohammad Shahid | 2021 | International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics2021,14,3: | 0 |
