| 2 | The levels, sources and reactivity of volatile organic compounds in a typical urban area of Northeast China显示文摘Air concentrations of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) were continually measured at a monitoring site in Shenyang from 20 August to 16 September 2017. The average concentrations of alkanes, alkenes, aromatics and carbonyls were 28.54, 6.30, 5.59 and9.78 ppbv, respectively. Seven sources were identified by the Positive Matrix Factorization model based on the measurement data of VOCs and CO. Vehicle exhaust contributed the most(36.15%) to the total propene-equivalent concentration of the measured VOCs,followed by combustion emission(16.92%), vegetation emission and secondary formation(14.33%), solvent usage(10.59%), petrochemical industry emission(9.89%), petrol evaporation(6.28%), and liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) usage(5.84%). Vehicle exhaust, solvent usage and combustion emission were found to be the top three VOC sources for O_3 formation potential, accounting for 34.52%, 16.55% and 11.94%, respectively. The diurnal variation of the total VOCs from each source could be well explained by their emission characteristics,e.g., the two peaks of VOC concentrations from LPG usage were in line with the cooking times for breakfast and lunch. Wind rose plots of the VOCs from each source could reveal the possible distribution of the sources around the monitoring site. | 3 | Flavonoid content and radical scavenging activity in fruits of Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis) genotypes显示文摘The Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis(Bge.) Sok.) is a small shrub with edible fruits. It is native to northern and western China. This species was included as a medicinal plant in the ‘‘Chinese Pharmacopeia'' and has emerged as an economically important crop for fresh fruit consumption, processing into juice and wine and nutraceutical products as well. To gain a better understanding of flavonoid biosynthesis and help develop value added products and better cultivars with greater health benefits, we analyzed total flavonoid content(TFC), composition, and radical scavenging activities in fruit extracts of 16 Chinese dwarf cherry genotypes. Fruit peel TFC ranged from 33.5 to72.8 mg/g REáFW(RE: rutin equivalent, FW: fresh weight)while fruit flesh TFC ranged from 4.3 to 16.9 mg/g REáFW.An HPLC analysis revealed that fruit extracts contained 14 flavonoids with considerable variation in their profiles across genotypes. The most abundant flavonoids in most genotypes were proanthocyanidin B1(PA-B1), proanthocyanidin B2(PA-B2), phloretin 20-O-glucoside(PG), and phloretin 20,40-O-diglucoside(PDG). Principal component analysis showed that PG, PA-B1, and PA-B2 had large,positive factor loading values in the first principal component for each genotype. Increased scavenging activity of2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radicals was apparent in genotypes ‘Nongda 4', ‘Nongda 3', ‘Nongda 6',‘Wenfenli', and '10-32', suggesting promising applications in the production of nutraceutical products. | 4 | Single-/fused-band dual-mode mid-infrared imaging with colloidal quantum-dot triple-junctions显示文摘Image data acquired with fused multispectral information can be used for effective identification and navigation owing to additional information beyond human vision,including thermal distribution,night vision,and molecular composition.However,the construction of photodetectors with such capabilities is hindered by the structural complexity arising from the integration of multiple semiconductor junctions with distinct energy gaps and lattice constants.In this work,we develop a colloidal quantum-dot dual-mode detector capable of detecting,separating,and fusing photons from various wavelength ranges.Using three vertically stacked colloidal quantum-dot homojunctions with alternating polarity,single-band short-wave infrared imaging and fused-band imaging(short-wave and mid-wave infrared)can be achieved with the same detector by controlling bias polarity and magnitude.The dual-mode detectors show detectivity up to 8×10^(10)Jones at the fused-band mode and 3.1×10^(11)Jones at the single-band mode,respectively.Without image post-processing algorithms,the dual-mode detectors could provide both night vision and thermal information-enhanced night vision imaging capability.To the best of our knowledge,this is the first colloidal quantum-dot detector that can achieve such functionality.The operation mode can be changed at a high frequency up to 1.7 MHz,making it possible to achieve simultaneously dual-mode imaging and remote temperature sensing. | SHUO ZHANG GE MU JIE CAO YUNING LUO QUN HAO MENGLU CHEN YIMEI TAN PENGFEI ZHAO XIN TANG | 2022 | Photonics Research2022,10,8: | 3 |

Therefore,vigorously developing the grape and cherry industries in Shandong Province and carrying out development and innovation are important parts of Shandong Province in responding to the strategy of national new and old kinetic energy conversion. However,currently the germplasm resources preserved in the fruit tree resources banks in China are only 45% of those in the US and 27. 2% of those in the EU. Moreover,the development of fruit trees resources banks in Shandong is relatively backward in China,and there is still no banks related with grape and cherry germplasm resources in Shandong. Therefore,importance can be attached to the agriculture,forestry,and animal husbandry to build germplasm resources banks for grape and cherry industries in Shandong Province. Building the national-level grape and cherry germplasm resources bank in Shandong Province can also promote the utilization of wild and farm germplasm resources in the future; advance the research on the genes related to disease resistance,stress resistance and quality of grapes and cherries; push forward the construction and development of cherry and grape mutants banks. | 8 | 煤矿开采对自然保护区生态环境的影响显示文摘With the gradual attention of the state to the protection of natural ecological environment,the planning and layout of the nature reserve will overlap with some coal mine areas.In order to strengthen the construction of ecological civilization,it is necessary to study the impact of mining on the ecological environment of the nature reserve.Through the methods of GIS and RS,and evaluation of ecological protection index system,the differences and impacts of ecological environment changes before and after the planning of the nature reserve are analyzed.The results show that since 2002,the effect of water collection and artificial soil and water conservation measures on improving the ecological environment of vegetation are obvious,the dominant species of vegetation type in the overlapping area of coal mine and nature reserve have changed from grass vegetation to shrub vegetation,in which the area of arbor forest land has increased significantly,the vegetation coverage in the overlapping area has also increased considerably.The intensity of soil erosion has decreased year by year after mining the coal resources.Post-harvest hydraulic erosion intensity is mainly below mild,and the area of artificial soil and water conservation has increased significantly.The negative impact of the ground subsidence caused by coal mining on the ecological environment is less than the positive effect brought by artificial soil and water conservation measures,and it is generally developing in a more stable direction.The ecological protection status index increased from 32.98 to 45.94,and the change degree of ecological protection status in nature reserves is 12.9≥10.The ecological protection status of the nature reserve improved significantly.On the basis of ecological environment protection and restoration measures in the nature reserve,coal mines need to further study the comprehensive impact of human activities on the ecological environment of the nature reserve. | MU Pengfei | 2020 | 南水北调与水利科技(中英文)2020,18,4: | 2 |

| 12 | Activity maintenance of the excised branches and a case study of NO_2 exchange between the atmosphere and P.nigra branches显示文摘The efficient maintenance of the activity of excised branches is the powerful guarantee to accurately determine gas exchange flux between the detached branches of tall trees and the atmosphere. In this study, the net photosynthetic rate(NPR) of the excised branches and branches in situ were measured simultaneously by using two photosynthetic instruments to characterize the activity of the excised branches of Phyllostachys nigra. The ratio of normalized NPR of excised branches to NPR in situ was used to assess the photosynthetic activity of detached branches. Based on photosynthetic activity, an optimal hydroponics protocol for maintaining activity of excised P. nigra branches was presented:1/8 times the concentration of Gamborg B5 vitamin mixture with p H = 6. Under the best cultivation protocol, photosynthetic activity of excised P. nigra branches could be maintained more than 90% within 6 hr in the light intensity range of 200–2000 μmol/(m2·sec) and temperature range of 13.4–28.7°C. The nitrogen dioxide(NO2) flux differences between in situ and in vitro branches and the atmosphere were compared using double dynamic chambers.Based on the maintenance method of excised branches, the NO2 exchange flux between the excised P. nigra branches and the atmosphere(from-1.01 to-2.72 nmol/(m2·sec) was basically consistent with between the branches in situ and the atmosphere(from-1.12 to-3.16 nmol/(m2 sec)) within 6 hr. | 13 | Performance of the point-of-care circulating cathodic antigen test in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis japonica in a human cohort from Northern Samar, the Philippines显示文摘Background:Zoonotic schistosomiasis,caused by Schistosoma japonicum,remains a major public health problem in the Philippines.This study aimed to evaluate the commercially available rapid diagnostic point-of-care circulating cathodic antigen(POC-CCA)test in detecting individuals infected with S.japonicum in a human cohort from an endemic area for schistosomiasis japonica in the Philippines.Methods:Clinical samples were collectedin 18 barangays endemic for S.japonicum infection in Laoang and Palapag municipalities,Northern Samar,the Philippines,in 2015.The presence of CCA in flter-concentrated urine samples(n=412)was evaluated using the commercial kits and the results were converted to images,which were further analyzed by ImageJ software to calculate R values.The diagnostic performance of the immunochromatographic POCCCA test was compared using the Kato-Katz(KK)procedure,in-house enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISAs)and droplet digital(dd)PCR assays as reference.Results:The POC-CCA test was able to detect S.japonicum-infected individuals in the cohort with an eggs per gram of faeces(EPG)more than or equal to 10 with sensitivity/specifcity values of 63.3%/93.3%.However,the assay showed an inability to diagnose schistosomiasis japonica infections in all cohort KK-positive individuals,of which the majority had an extremely low egg burden(EPG:1–9).The prevalence of S.japonicum infection in the total cohort determined by the POC-CCA test was 12.4%,only half of that determined by the KK method(26.2%).When compared with the ELISAs and ddPCR assays as a reference,the POC-CCA assay was further shown to be a test with low sensitivity.Nevertheless,the assay exhibited signifcant positive correlations with egg burden determined by the KK technique and the target gene copy number index values determined by the ddPCR assays within the entire cohort.Conclusions:By using in silico image analysis,the POC-CCA cassette test could be converted to a quantitative assay to avoid reader-variability.Because of its low sensitivity,the commercially available POC-CCA assay had limited potential for determining the status of a S.japonicum infection in the target cohort.The assay should be applied with caution in populations where schistosome parasites(especially S.japonicum)are present at low infection intensity. | Pengfei Cai Yi Mu Kosala G.Weerakoon Remigio M.Olveda Allen G.Ross Donald P.McManus | 2021 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2021,10,5: | 0 |
| 14 | Comprehensive transcriptomic analysis of developing seed in Cerasus humilis for lipid related gene discovery显示文摘Cerasus humilis is a woody shrub with increasing economic importance. Due to its high oil content in seed with desired fatty acid(FA) composition, C. humilis has been considered as a potential woody oilseed crop in China. However, FAs accumulation and related molecular mechanisms of FA biosynthesis in C. humilis seed have not been elucidated well. In this study, oil contents and FA compositions of developing C. humilis seed were analyzed. The total oil content in mature seed reached 48.7% while unsaturated FA concentration reached a high level of 96.2%. Three c DNA libraries of C. humilis developing seed were constructed at the beginning and 2 fast oil-accumulation stages, followed by Illumina sequencing with the platform of HiSeq^TM 2000. Differentially expressed unigenes(DEGs) were identified during the respective seed development stages to investigate transcription dynamics. Among DEGs, 82 unigenes were identified as being closely involved in de novo FA and triacylglycerol(TAG) biosynthesis. Surprisingly, among DEGs involved in TAG biosynthesis, expression of unigenes encoding GPATs(glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase) were relatively low and unigenes encoding LPAATs(lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase) were highly expressed, suggesting that LPAAT contributed more in storage lipids metabolism in C. humilis seed. Genes encoding DGAT2(diacylgycerol acyltransferase2) were the most highly expressed while expression of DGAT1 was very low, suggesting DGAT2 was the dominant DGAT which catalyzed TAG biosynthesis. To verify these results,10 unigenes were selected and their expression patterns were analyzed by quantitative RTPCR. | 15 | Characteristics and sources of peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)in the rural North China Plain:Results from1-year continuous observations显示文摘Peroxyacetyl nitrate(PAN)is an important photochemical pollutant in the troposphere,whereas long-term measurements are scarce in rural areas in North China Plain(NCP),resulting in unclear seasonal variations and sources of PAN in rural NCP.In this study,we conducted a 1-year observation of PAN during 2021-2022 at the rural NCP site.The average concentrations of PAN were 1.10,0.75,0.65,and 0.88 ppbv in spring,summer,autumn,and winter,respectively,with a 1-year average of 0.81±0.60 ppbv.Calculations indicate that the loss of PAN through thermal decomposition in summer accounts for 43.2% of the total formed PAN,which is an important reason for the low concentration of PAN in summer.We speculate that since the correlation between PAN and O_(3) in winter is significantly lower than that in other seasons,the observed regional transport of PAN cannot be ignored in winter.Through budget analysis,regional transport accounted for 12.8% and 55.9% of the observed PAN on the spring and winter pollution days,respectively,which showed that regional transport played key roles during the photochemical pollution of the rural NCP in winter.The potential source contribution function revealed that the transported PAN mainly comes from southern Hebei in spring.In winter,the transported PAN was mainly from Langfang,Hengshui,and southern Beijing.Our findings may aid in understanding PAN variations in different seasons in rural areas and highlight the impact of regional transport on the PAN budget. | Xin Liu Xiaowei He Chenglong Zhang Yifei Song Shuyang Xie Chengtang Liu Pengfei Liu Yuanyuan Zhang Yujing Mu Junfeng Liu | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,4: | 0 |

| 17 | Identification of a TGF-β1 homologue in the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea)revealed its role in regulation of immune response显示文摘Mammalian TGF-β1 plays a crucial role in maintaining immune tolerance and inhibiting autoimmunity.Although several TGF-β1 homologues have been identified in teleosts,their immunosuppressive functions remain unclear.Herein,we identified and characterized LcTGF-β1,a TGF-β1 homologue from the large yellow croaker(Larimichthys crocea).LcTGF-β1 possesses several features characteristic of the TGF-βsuperfamily,including an RGD integrin binding site,an RSKR tetrabasic cut site,and nine conserved cysteines in the mature peptide.The LcTGFβ1 gene was constitutively expressed in all examined tissues,with the highest expression in the spleen,which is rich in immune cells.LcTGF-β1 was significantly upregulated in the head kidney and spleen after Vibrio alginolyticus stimulation.LcTGF-β1 was also expressed in primary head kidney lymphocytes(PKLs),monocytes/macrophages(MO/Mφs),and granulocytes(PKGs),and was significantly upregulated in the MO/Mφs after lipopolysaccharide(LPS)stimulation.Recombinant LcTGF-β1 protein(rLcTGF-β1)significantly suppressed reactive oxygen species(ROS)and nitrogen oxide(NO)production in LPS-activated head kidney MO/Mφs.Furthermore,in these MO/Mφs,rLcTGF-β1 strongly inhibited the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokine(TNFα)and inducible NO synthase(iNOS),while it induced anti-inflammatory cytokines(TGF-β1 and IL-10),arginase1,and CD206.The phagocytic activity of LPS-activated MO/Mφs was also increased by rLcTGF-β1.Finally,rLcTGF-β1 significantly inhibited the proliferation of T cells(ZAP70þcells)and downregulated T-cell activation genes(CD3ζ,TCRα,and ZAP70),T-cell marker genes(CD4 and CD8),and IL-2 in PKLs.These results thus provide strong evidence that LcTGF-β1 promotes the alternative activation of head kidney MO/Mφs and inhibits T-cell proliferation in PKLs,highlighting its role in the regulation of immune response in large yellow croaker. | Xiaofeng Li Pengfei Mu Yan Teng Xiaomeng Li Yinanzi Wu Xinhua Chen | 2022 | Water Biology and Security2022,1,1: | 0 |
| 18 | Exosomal CD44 Cooperates with Integrin a6b4 to Support Organotropic Metastasis via Regulating Tumor Cell Motility and Target Host Cell Activation显示文摘Rapid metastasis to vital organs such as the lung,liver,and brain is responsible for the vast majority of pancreatic cancer deaths.Liver metastasis of pancreatic cancer accounts for the high mortality rate in patients.Exosomes derived from pancreatic cancer cells tend to be enriched in proteins that are anchored to the cell membrane,supporting the reprogramming of the tumor microenvironment and the progression of distant metastatic lesions.For the first time,our study has demonstrated that cluster of differentiation 44(CD44),a transmembrane glycoprotein delivered by exosomes,is involved in the metastatic process of pancreatic cancer.Moreover,CD44 was found to interact with integrin a6b4 to form a complex,thereby remodeling intracellular skeleton proteins,and to promote tumor cell motility through the activation of the Src and Ras signaling cascades.Notably,we also demonstrated that the CD44–a6b4 complex can be delivered to the target region via the paracrine effects of exosomes.The selective uptake of CD44-competent tumor exosomes by liver cells activated fibrotic pathways and generated a pre-metastatic niche by stimulating the cytokines,proinflammatory factors,and growth factors that ultimately support tumor metastasis.Our results suggest the potential application of exosomal CD44 as a biomarker for the clinical diagnosis of and therapy for pancreatic cancer. | Wei Mu Yajie Xu Pengfei Gu Wenbo Wang Jingquan Li Yang Ge Hui Wang | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,10: | 0 |
| 19 | In situ integration of efficient photocatalyst Cu1.8S/ZnxCd1-xS heterojunction derived from a metal-organic framework显示文摘The development of photocatalysts for hydrogen evolution is a promising alternative to industrial hydrogen evolution;however,generation of high active,recyclable,inexpensive heterojunctions are still challenging.Herein,a novel strategy was developed to synthesize non-noble metal co-catalyst/solid solution heterojunctions using metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)as a precursor template.By adjusting the content of MOFs,a series of Cu1.8S/ZnxCd1-xS heterojunctions were obtained,and the Cu1.8S(3.7%)/Zn0.35Cd0.65S sample exhibits a maximum hydrogen evolution rate of 14.27 mmol h^(-1) g^(-1) with an apparent quantum yield of 3.7%at 420 nm under visible-light irradiation.Subsequently,the relationship between the heterojunction and photocatalytic activity were investigated by detailed characterizations and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,which reveal that loading Cu1.8S can efficiently extend the light absorption,meanwhile,the electrons can efficiently transfer from Zn0.35Cd0.65S to Cu1.8S,thus resulting more photogenerated electrons participating in surface reactions.This result can be valuable inspirations for the exploitation of advanced materials using rationally designed nanostructures for solar energy conversion. | Dongpeng Zhang Pengfei Wang Fangyuan Chen Kelei Mu Yi Li Haitao Wang Zhijun Ren Sihui Zhan | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10: | 0 |
| 20 | Heterogeneous isomorphism hollow SiGe nanospheres with porous carbon reinforcing for superior electrochemical lithium storage显示文摘Silicon is emerging as a promising next-generation lithium-ion battery anode because of its high theoretical capacity and low cost.However,the poor cyclability and inferior rate performance hinder its largescale applications.Here,hollow silicon/germanium(H-SiGe)nanospheres with a binary-active component and heterogeneous structure combined with porous carbon(pC)reinforcing are synthesized as lithium-ion battery anodes.Experimental studies demonstrate that the H-SiGe/pC anodes possess tiny volume expansion,high ion/electron conductivity,and stable electrode interface.Theoretical calculations confirm that through the replacement of Si using Ge with rational component control,the diffusion energy barrier of lithium will be reduced and lithium storage ability can be improved because of the slight charge polarization.Benefiting from these unique merits,the H-SiGe/pC anodes display a high initial specific capacity of 2922.2 mA h g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1),superior rate capability(59.4%capacity retention from 0.5 to 8 A g^(-1)),and excellent cycling stability(81%retention after 700 cycles at 5 A g^(-1)at 1.0–1.2 mg cm^(-2)).An outstanding stability is preserved even at a high loading of 3.2 mg cm^(-2)with an improved reversible capacity of 429.1 mA h g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 4 A g^(-1).Furthermore,the full-cell with the prelithiated H-SiGe/pC anode and LiFePO4cathode exhibits an impressive capacity performance. | Peibo Gao Huimin Wu Wenhao Liu Shuang Tian Jinglin Mu Zhichao Miao Pengfei Zhou Huanian Zhang Tong Zhou Jin Zhou | 2023 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4: | 0 |
