1Spatial differences in rock uplift rates inferred from channel steepness indices along the northern flank of the Qilian Mountain,northeast Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The rate and distribution of deformation along the Qilian Mountain,on the northeastern Tibetan Plateau,is needed to understand the evolution of high topography associated with the plateau.Recently,a number of empirical studies have provided support for the contention,common to most models of fluvial incision,that rock uplift rate exerts a first-order control on the gradient of longitudinal river profiles.Along the northern Qilian Mountain,this method is used to extract information about the spatial patterns of differential rock uplift.Analysis of the longitudinal profiles of bedrock channels reveals systematic differences in the channel steepness index along the trend of the frontal ranges.Local comparisons of channel steepness reveal that lithology and precipitation have limited influence on channel steepness.Similarly,there is little evidence suggesting that channel steepness is influenced by differences in the sediment loads.We argue that the distribution of channel steepness in the Qilian Mountain is mostly the result of differential rates of rock uplift.Thus,channel steepness indices reveal a lower rock uplift rate in the eastern portion of the Qilian Mountain and a higher rate in the middle and west.The highest rates appear to occur in the middle-west portions of the range,just to the west of the Yumu Shan.HU XlaoFei PAN BaoTian KIRBY Eric LI QingYang GENG HaoPeng CHEN JiFeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,27:35
2A novel m6A reader Prrc2a controls oligodendroglial specification and myelination显示文摘While N6-methyladenosine (m6A), the most abundant internal modification in eukaryotic mRNA, is linked to cell differentiation and tissue development, the biological significance of m6A modification in mammalian glial development remains unknown. Here, we identify a novel m6A reader, Prrc2a (Proline rich coiled-coil 2A), which controls oligodendrocyte specification and myelination. Nestin-Cre-mediated knockout of Prrc2a induces significant hypomyelination, decreased lifespan, as well as locomotive and cognitive defects in a mouse model. Further analyses reveal that Prrc2a is involved in oligodendrocyte progenitor cells (OPCs) proliferation and oligodendrocyte fate determination. Accordingly, oligodendroglial-lineage specific deletion of Prrc2a causes a similar phenotype of Nestin-Cre-mediated deletion. Combining transcriptome-wide RNA-seq, m6A-RIP-seq and Prrc2a RIP-seq analysis, we find that Olig2 is a critical downstream target gene of Prrc2a in oligodendrocyte development. Furthermore, Prrc2a stabilizes Olig2 mRNA through binding to a consensus GGACU motif in the Olig2 CDS (coding sequence) in an m6A-dependent manner. Interestingly, we also find that the m6A demethylase, Fto, erases the m6A modification of Olig2 mRNA and promotes its degradation. Together, our results indicate that Prrc2a plays an important role in oligodendrocyte specification through functioning as a novel m6A reader. 3When water meets iron at Earth's core-mantle boundary显示文摘Hydrous minerals in subducted crust can transport large amounts of water into Earth's deep mantle. Our laboratory experiments revealed the surprising pressure-induced chemistry that, when water meets iron at the core-mantle boundary, they react to form an interlayer with an extremely oxygen-rich form of iron, iron dioxide, together with iron hydride. Hydrogen in the layer will escape upon further heating and rise to the crust, sustaining the water cycle. With water supplied by the subducting slabs meeting the nearly inexhaustible iron source in the core, an oxygen-rich layer would cumulate and thicken, leading to major global consequences in our planet. The seismic signature of the D″ layer may echo the chemical complexity of this layer. Over the course of geological time, the enormous oxygen reservoir accumulating between the mantle and core may have eventually reached a critical eruption point. 4Tissue-specific transcription reprogramming promotes liver metastasis of colorectal cancer显示文摘Metastasis,the development of secondary malignant growths at a distance from a primary tumor,is the cause of death for 90%of cancer patients,but little is known about how metastatic cancer cells adapt to and colonize new tissue environments.Here,using clinical samples,patient-derived xenograft(PDX)samples,PDX cells,and primary/metastatic cell lines,we discovered that liver metastatic colorectal cancer(CRC)cells lose their colon-specific gene transcription program yet gain a liver-specific gene transcription program.We showed that this transcription reprogramming is driven by a reshaped epigenetic landscape of both typical enhancers and super-enhancers.Further,we identified that the liver-specific transcription factors FOXA2 and HNF1A can bind to the gained enhancers and activate the liver-specific gene transcription,thereby driving CRC liver metastasis.Importantly,similar transcription reprogramming can be observed in multiple cancer types.Our data suggest that reprogrammed tissue-specific transcription promotes metastasis and should be targeted therapeutically.Shuaishuai Teng Yang Eric Li Ming Yang Rui Qi Yiming Huang Qianyu Wang Yanmei Zhang Shanwen Chen Shasha Li Kequan Lin Yang Cao Qunsheng Ji Qingyang Gu Yujing Cheng Zai Chang Wei Guo Pengyuan Wang Ivan Garcia-Bassets Zhi John Lu Dong Wang 2020Cell Research2020,30,1:11

7Novel roll effector based on zero-mass-flux dual synthetic jets and its flight test显示文摘The autonomous and controllable Dual Synthetic Jet Actuator(DSJA)is firstly integrated into the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV),and flight tests without the deflection of rudders are carried out to verify the viability of DSJA to control the attitudes of UAV during cruising.DSJA is improved into an actuator with two diaphragms and three cavities,which has higher energy levels.Actuators,differentially distributed on both sides of the wings,are installed on the trailing edge close to the wing tips.Flight tests,containing Differential Circulation Control(DCC)using double-side actuators,Positive Circulation Control(PCC)using left-side actuators and Negative Circulation Control(NCC)using right-side actuators,are implemented at cruising speed of 25 m/s.Results show that roll attitude control without rudders could be realized by DSJAs.DCC and NCC can generate the rightward roll and yaw angular velocity,prompting UAV to turn right.The stronger controlling ability can be achieved by DCC,with the maximum roll angular velocity of 15.62(°)/s.PCC can generate a rightward roll moment,but a leftward yaw moment will be produced at the same time.Leftward yaw induces the leftward rolling moment,which weakens the roll control effect,making UAV keep to yaw to the left with a small slope.Zhenbing LUO Zhijie ZHAO Jiefu LIU Xiong DENG Mu ZHENG Hang YANG Qingyang CHEN Shiqing LI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,8:7
8Plane-Wave Least-Squares Reverse Time Migration for Rugged Topography显示文摘We present a method based on least-squares reverse time migration with plane-wave encoding(P-LSRTM) for rugged topography.Instead of modifying the wave field before migration,we modify the plane-wave encoding function and fill constant velocity to the area above rugged topography in the model so that P-LSRTM can be directly performed from rugged surface in the way same to shot domain reverse time migration.In order to improve efficiency and reduce I/O(input/output) cost,the dynamic encoding strategy and hybrid encoding strategy are implemented.Numerical test on SEG rugged topography model show that P-LSRTM can suppress migration artifacts in the migration image,and compensate amplitude in the middle-deep part efficiently.Without data correction,P-LSRTM can produce a satisfying image of near-surface if we could get an accurate near-surface velocity model.Moreover,the pre-stack PLSRTM is more robust than conventional RTM in the presence of migration velocity errors.Jianping Huang Chuang Li Rongrong Wang Qingyang Li 2015Journal of Earth Science2015,26,4:6
9Cryo-self-assembled silk fibroin sponge as a biodegradable platform for enzyme-responsive delivery of exosomes显示文摘Although advances in protein assembly preparation have provided a new platform for drug delivery during tissue engineering,achieving long-term controlled exosome delivery remains a significant challenge.Diffusion-dominated exosome release using protein hydrogels results in burst release of exosomes.Here,a fibroin-based cryo-sponge was developed to provide controlled exosome release.Fibroin chains can self-assemble into silk I structures under ice-cold conditions when annealed above the glass transition temperature.Exosome release is enzyme-responsive,with rates primarily determined by enzymatic degradation of the scaffolds.In vivo experiments have demonstrated that exosomes remain in undigested sponge material for two months,superior to their retention in fibrin glue,a commonly used biomaterial in clinical practice.Fibroin cryo-sponges were implanted subcutaneously in nude mice.The exosome-containing sponge group exhibited better neovascularization and tissue ingrowth effects,demonstrating the efficacy of this exosome-encapsulating strategy by realizing sustained release and maintaining exosome bioactivity.These silk fibroin cryo-sponges containing exosomes provide a new platform for future studies of exosome therapy.Muyang Sun Qi Li Huilei Yu Jin Cheng Nier Wu Weili Shi Fengyuan Zhao Zhenxing Shao Qingyang Meng Haifeng Chen Xiaoqing Hu Yingfang Ao 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:4
10Characterization of a Novel Anti-DR5 Monoclonal Antibody WD1 with the Potential to Induce Tumor Cell Apoptosis显示文摘TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a TNF family member capable of inducing apoptosis. Death receptor 5 (DR 5) is a key receptor of TRAIL and plays an important role in TRAIL-induced apoptosis. To prepare monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against DR5,cDNA encoding soluble DR5 (sDR5) was firstly amplified by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) with specific primers,and then inserted into a prokaryotic expression vector pET-30a. The recombinant plasmid was expressed in Escherichia coli strain BL21 (DE3),and sDR5 was purified by nickel affinity chromatography. As an antigen,sDR5 was used to immunize mice. Hybridomas secreting antibodies against sDR5 were identified. One positive clone was selected to produce antibody,WD1. ELISA and immunofluorescence demonstrated that WD1 could bind recombinant sDR5 and membrane-bound DR5 (mDR5) on Jurkat and Molt-4 cells. ATPLite assays showed that Jurkat and Molt-4 cells were sensitive to the antibody in a dose dependent manner. The Annexin V/PI assays and Giemsa's staining both showed that WD1 could induce Jurkat cell apoptosis efficiently. Transient transfection of 293T cells and indirect immunofluorescence assay demonstrated that mAb (WD1) couldn't cross-react with DR4. Our findings indicated that the novel antibody,WD1 could act as a direct agonist,bind DR5 characteristically,and initiate efficient apoptotic signaling and tumor regression. 11Horizontal shaking table tests and analysis on structures with multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation devices显示文摘The viscoelastic multi-dimensional earthquake isolation and mitigation device is a new kind of passive control device, which has both earthquake isolation and earthquake mitigation abilities. In order to quantify the horizontal earthquake isolation and mitigation effect of this device on structures, shaking table tests on structures with and without the devices and the corresponding analysis on earthquake isolation and mitigation properties are carried out. 12Changes of visceral properties and digestive enzymes in the herbivorous marine teleost Siganus canaliculatus fed on different diets显示文摘The rabbitfish Siganus canaliculatus is one of the few cultured herbivorous marine teleosts. To better understand the digestive physiology of this fish and provide data for designing formulated feed using macroalgae as an ingredient, the changes of visceral properties and digestive enzyme activities were investigated after the juveniles were fed on different types of food including raw fish(RF), formulated diet(FD) or macroalgae Enteromorpha prolifra(EP) and Gracilaria lemaneiformis(GL) for eight weeks. The results showed that the hepatosomatic and viscerosomatic indices in the RF and FD groups, as well as the relative intestine length(RIL) in the EP and GL groups, were significantly higher than those in other groups. Additionally, differences in the histological structure of the liver and anterior intestine were also observed among different dietary groups. The hepatic nuclei were displaced to the periphery by lipid inclusions in fish fed RF. The highest levels of mucosal folds were found in the anterior intestines of fish fed macroalgae. Digestive enzyme activity profiles showed obvious fluctuations in the first three weeks, and then leveled off in the following weeks. The levels of protease, lipase and α-amylase in the alimentary tract showed changes related to the levels of dietary protein, lipid and carbohydrate, respectively.Although macroalgae significantly inhibited the activity of protease in the stomach, it increased RIL and the number of mucosal folds in the anterior intestine so as to compensate for the influences on protease activities in the stomach. 13The influence of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity,permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous materials显示文摘Porous foams have been widely employed to improve heat storage rate and prevent leakage of phase change materials(PCMs).Actual porous foams have non-uniform or hierarchical pore size distribution, which is usually neglected in most researches.Here, we establish hierarchical porous models considering different pore size distributions by using Voronoi tessellations. Effects of pore size distribution on thermal conductivity, permeability, and phase change behavior of hierarchical porous foams/PCMs composites are investigated. Uneven pore size distributions are found to decrease the thermal conductivity of porous foams to some extent. On the other hand, the permeability can be reduced by 27.6%, and the heat storage rate can be improved by 7.7% by introducing moderate hierarchy without changing the total porosity. 14Obesity pandemic in China:epidemiology,burden,challenges,and opportunities显示文摘China faces a substantial burdensome pandemic of obesity.Recent data from the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention suggested that over an estimated 8.1%of Chinese adults(85 million Chinese adults)had obesity in 2018,which was three times the level in 2004.[1]To understand the trends of overweight and obesity in China,we accessed the country/territory-level year-specific data of age-standardized summary exposure value(SEV,standing for the pooled proportion among the population),deaths,and disability-adjusted life of years(DALYs)for high body mass index(BMI,high BMI was defined as the BMI level higher than theoretical minimum risk exposure level[25 kg/m2])and its associated diseases for 204 countries/territories between 1990 and 2019 using data from the Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network.[2]Previous literature described detailed methods for the data synthesis.[3,4]Using the country/territory-level data by year,we calculated the estimated annual percentage changes(EAPCs)with 95%uncertainty intervals(UI)to estimate the annual changing patterns of age-standardized SEV,death,and DALY rates among 204 countries/territories.To compare statistics from China and other regions,we calculated the corresponding estimates from regions including global,North Africa and Middle East,Sub-Saharan Africa,Western Pacific Region,European Union,Latin America and Caribbean,and South Asia.Jing Li Qingyang Shi Qingyang Gao Xiong-Fei Pan Li Zhao Yazhou He Haoming Tian Zhiming Zhu Sheyu Li 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:3
15Petrologic and geochemical characteristics of high-quality saline lacustrine source rocks in western Qaidam Basin显示文摘The main oil source in western Qaidam Basin is the Paleogene saline lacustrine source rocks.Traditionally,it was considered that these source rocks were characterized by low abundance and poor type of organic matter as well as limited oil generation potential,but this poor source rock condition was very inconsistent with good hydrocarbon exploration results.A previous study has just confirmed that this area develops high-quality source rocks,which is of great significance for recognizing potential of hydrocarbon resource and consolidating confidence to search large and medium-sized oil and gas fields in western Qaidam Basin.Based on fine geochemical analysis of source rocks,petrology,element geochemistry and organic geochemistry are applied to discuss development conditions of high-quality source rocks in this area.The results showed that the saline lacustrine sediments in western Qaidam Basin were deposited in relatively shallow and quiet water with relatively high salinity and low nutrient content;influenced by the drought and cold climate,the terrigenous supply of fresh water was limited,and few aquatic organisms were developed.Good preservation condition is favorable for rapid preservation of oil generating biomass(such as aquatic organisms),to form source rocks rich in hydrogen element with high soluble organic matter content;but relatively lower paleo-productivity makes organic matter abundance lower than that in the eastern saline lacustrine basins.The semi-deep lake,with relatively low salinity and abundant nutrients,is the most favorable are for development of high-quality source rocks;the source rocks have large thickness in the sedimentary depression areas,but due to high water salinity and far away from the provenance area,the water stratification was obvious,so it have moderate to high organic matter abundance.Bin Zhang Yuanyuan He Yan Chen Qingyang Meng Jiaxuan Huang Li Yuan 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,4:2
16On-chip single-mode CdS nanowire laser显示文摘By integrating a free-standing cadmium sulfide(CdS)nanowire onto a silicon nitride(SiN)photonic chip,we demonstrate a highly compact on-chip single-mode CdS nanowire laser.The mode selection is realized using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer(MZI)structure.When the pumping intensity exceeds the lasing threshold of 4.9 kW/cm^(2),onchip single-mode lasing at ~518.9 nm is achieved with a linewidth of 0.1 nm and a side-mode suppression ratio of up to a factor of 20(13 dB).The output of the nanowire laser is channelled into an on-chip SiN waveguide with high efficiency(up to 58%)by evanescent coupling,and the directional coupling ratio between the two output ports can be varied from 90 to 10% by predesigning the coupling length of the SiN waveguide.Our results open new opportunities for both nanowire photonic devices and on-chip light sources and may pave the way towards a new category of hybrid nanolasers for chip-integrated applications.Qingyang Bao Weijia Li Peizhen Xu Ming Zhang Daoxin Dai Pan Wang Xin Guo Limin Tong 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:1
17Effects of phenanthrene on hepatic enzymatic activities in tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus ♀×O.aureus ♂)显示文摘The effects of phenanthrene(Phe) on hepatosomatic index(HSI) and hepatic enzymatic activities in hybrid tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus ♀× O.aureus ♂) were investigated via the static freshwater exposure at dosage of 50,100,and 400 μg/L for 4-14 d.Compared with the control group,HSI was significantly decreased(P < 0.05) at 400 μg/L at day 14.Increased enzymatic activities(P < 0.05) were observed for catalase(CAT),glutathione peroxidase(GPx) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) at either 100 or 400 μg/L at day 8 and 14,as well as for CAT at 50 μg/L at day 14,except for GPx at 400 μg/L at day 8.Ethoxyresorufin O-deethylase(EROD) activity was significantly increased(P < 0.05) at all dosage at day 4 as well as at 50 μg/L at day 8,but significantly decreased at either 100 or 400 μg/L at day 14(P < 0.05).Glutathione-S-transferase(GST) activity was not affected.The results suggest that CAT,GPx,SOD and EROD,as well as HSI in tilapia may be used as the biomarkers or indexes for evaluating or monitoring the pollution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) such as Phe.XU Wenju LI Yuanyou WU Qingyang WANG Shuqi ZHENG Huaiping LIU Wenhua 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,6:1

20LD-Pumped Random Fiber Laser Based on Erbium-Ytterbium Co-Doped Fiber显示文摘In this paper,a cladding-pumped erbium-ytterbium co-doped random fiber laser(EYRFL)operating at 1550 nm with high power laser diode(LD)is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for the first time.The laser cavity includes a 5-m-long erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber that serves as the gain medium,as well as a 2-km-long single-mode fiber(SMF)to provide random distributed feedback.As a result,stable 2.14 W of 1550 nm random lasing at 9.80 W of 976 nm LD pump power and a linear output with the slope efficiency as 22.7%are generated.This simple and novel random fiber laser could provide a promising way to develop high power 1.5μm light sources.Qingyang MENG Han WU Bing HAN Jiaqi LI Zinan WANG 2020Photonic Sensors2020,10,2:1
