2Anti-corruption, marketisation and firm behaviours: evidence from firm innovation in China显示文摘China has launched an anti-corruption campaign since theEighteenth CPC National Congress, which has exerted widespreadinfluences on Chinese politics and economy. This paper examinesthe effect of the anti-corruption initiative on firm behaviours fromthe perspective of research and development (R&D) investments. Itshows that pursuing political connections and improving innovation are two mutually exclusive alternatives for firm growth inChina. The anti-corruption campaign raises the cost of seeking forpolitical bond and strengthens the incentive for firm innovation.After anti-corruption policies and regulations were issued, R&Dexpenditure in politically connected firms increases significantly;the anti-corruption initiative has positive effects on firm innovation.Further research shows that the effects vary with different types offirms. For state-owned enterprises (SOEs), the anti-corruptioninitiative only increases the R&D investments of firms with seniorexecutives who used to serve in the government;while for nonstate-owned enterprises (non-SOEs), this campaign has all-aroundpositive effects on their R&D investments. In the meantime, a heterogeneity at the provincial level is observed: R&D investments offirms with political connections increase more significantly in provinces with more intense anti-corruption efforts. Finally, marketisation also has a role to play. For regions with a more developedmarket economy, anti-corruption increases the innovation of firmswith political connections;whereas in regions with a less developed market economy, this effect is insignificant. This paper provides evidence for the opinion that anti-corruption is favourable toeconomic growth in China. 4Robust,fluorine-free and superhydrophobic composite melamine sponge modified with dual silanized SiO_(2) microspheres for oil-water separation显示文摘Massive oily wastewater discharged from industrial production and human daily life have been an urgent environmental and ecological challenge.Superhydrophobic materials have attracted tremendous attention due to their unique properties and potential applications in the treatment of wastewater.In this study,a novel superhydrophobic/superoleophilic composite melamine sponge modified with dual silanized SiO_(2) microspheres was fabricated simply by a two-step sol-gel method using vinyltriethoxysilane and hexadecyltrimethoxysilane as functional agent,which exhibited a water contact angle of 153.2°and a water sliding contact angle of 4.8°.Furthermore,the composite sponge showed the excellent oil adsorption performance and the compressive elasticity reaching up to 130 g·g^(-1) of dichloromethane and 33.1 kPa of compressive stress.It was worth noting that the composite sponge presented the excellent separation efficiency(up to 99.5%)in the processes of continuous oil/water separation.The robust superhydrophobic composite melamine sponge provided the possibility with the practical application for oil-water separation.Ruilong Zhang Zhiping Zhou Wenna Ge Yi Lu Tianshu Liu Wenming Yang Jiangdong Dai 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,5:1

6Thickness-dependent and strain-tunable magnetism in twodimensional van der Waals VSe_(2)显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)magnetic materials with reduced dimensionality often exhibit unexpected properties compared to their bulk counterparts.In particular,the mechanical flexibility of 2D structure,enhanced ferromagnetism at reduced layer thickness,as well as robust perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are quite appealing for constructing novel spintronic devices.The vdW vanadium diselenide(VSe_(2))is an attractive material whose bulk is paramagnetic while monolayer is ferromagnetic with a Curie temperature(Tc)above room temperature.To explore its possible device applications,a detailed investigation on the thickness-dependent magnetism and strain modulation behavior of VSe_(2)is highly demanded.In this article,the VSe_(2)nanoflakes were controllably prepared via chemical vapor deposition(CVD)method.The few-layer single VSe_(2)nanoflakes were found to exhibit magnetic domain structures at room temperature.Ambient magnetic force microscopy(MFM)phase images reveal a clear thickness-dependent magnetism and the MFM phase contrast is traceable for the nanoflakes of layer thickness below~6 nm.Moreover,applying strain is found efficient in modulating the magnetic moment and coercive field of 2D VSe_(2)at room temperature.These results are helpful for understanding the ferromagnetism of high temperature 2D magnets and for constructing novel straintronic devices or flexible spintronic devices.Wenjuan Ci Huali Yang Wuhong Xue Ruilong Yang Baohua Lv Peng Wang Run-Wei Li Xiao-Hong Xu 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0
7Minimax entropy-based co-training for fault diagnosis of blast furnace显示文摘Due to the problems of few fault samples and large data fluctuations in the blast furnace(BF)ironmaking process,some transfer learning-based fault diagnosis methods are proposed.The vast majority of such methods perform distribution adaptation by reducing the distance between data distributions and applying a classifier to generate pseudo-labels for self-training.However,since the training data is dominated by labeled source domain data,such classifiers tend to be weak classifiers in the target domain.In addition,the features generated after domain adaptation are likely to be at the decision boundary,resulting in a loss of classification performance.Hence,we propose a novel method called minimax entropy-based co-training(MMEC)that adversarially optimizes a transferable fault diagnosis model for the BF.The structure of MMEC includes a dual-view feature extractor,followed by two classifiers that compute the feature's cosine similarity to representative vector of each class.Knowledge transfer is achieved by alternately increasing and decreasing the entropy of unlabeled target samples with the classifier and the feature extractor,respectively.Transfer BF fault diagnosis experiments show that our method improves accuracy by about 5%over state-of-the-art methods.Dali Gao Chunjie Yang Bo Yang Yu Chen Ruilong Deng 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,59,7:0
8Arithmetic P Systems Based on Arithmetic Formula Tables显示文摘Arithmetic operations are fundamental in computing models. Novel arithmetic P systems are constructed to perform four basic operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. The digits of decimal integers are directly put into hierarchical membranes, one digit one membrane, thus, the number of membranes is reduced and complexity is lowered. Core evolution rules are designed for single digit operations according to the arithmetic formula tables widely used by humans.
