Tandem rapid manufacturing of Inconel-625 using laser assisted and plasma transferred arc depositions显示文摘This paper presents an investigation on deposition of Inconel-625 using laser rapid manufacturing(LRM) and plasma transferred arc(PTA) deposition in individual and tandem mode.LRM has advantages in terms of dimensional accuracy, improved mechanical properties, finer process control, reduced heat input and lower thermal distortion, while PTA scores more in terms of lower initial investment, lower running cost and higher deposition rate.To quantify the clubbed advantages and limitations of both processes, these were studied individually and in tandem.A number of samples were deposited at different process parameters like power, scan speed, powder feed rate. They were subjected to tensile test,adhesion-cohesion test, impact test and micro hardness measurement. The results of individual tests showed the comparable mechanical properties with±20%variation.The mixed dendritic-cellular and dendritic-columnar microstructures were respectively observed for LRM and PTA deposits with a distinct interface for the case of tandem deposition. The interface strength of tandem deposits was evaluated employing adhesion-cohesion test, and it was found to be(325±35) MPa.The study confirmed the viability of LRM and PTA deposition in tandem for hybrid manufacturing. | P.Bhargava C.P.Paul C.H.Premsingh S.K.Mishra Atul Kumar D.C.Nagpure Gurvinderjit Singh L.M.Kukreja | 2013 | Advances in Manufacturing2013,1,4: | 2
A critical fault detection analysis & fault time in a UPFC transmission line显示文摘This paper discusses a critical study of fault detection and fault time analysis in a Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) transmission line. Here the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) approach are used for processing the faulty current signal to obtain fundamental current signal. The extracted fault current signals from the current transformer are fed to DWT and DFT approach for computing spectral energy (SE). The differential spectral energy (DSE) of phase currents are evaluated by taking the difference of SE obtained at sending and receiving end. The DSE is the key factor for deciding the fault in any of the phase or not. The Daubechy mother wavelet (db4) is used here because of its high accuracy of detection with less processing time. The novelty of the scheme is that it can accurately detect the critical fault variation of the line. Number of simulations are validated at the extreme condition of the line and compared to other conventional existing scheme. Multi-phase fault in double circuit line, CT saturation, UPFC operating condition (series voltage and angle), UPFC location and wind speed variation including wind farm simulation are validated to verify the performance of the scheme. The advantages of the scheme is that it works effectively to detect the fault at any stage of critical condition of the line and fault detection time remains within 20 msec (less than one cycle period). This scheme protects both internal and external zone including parameter variation of the line. | S.K.Mishra L.N.Tripathy | 2019 | Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems2019,4,1: | 1
Impedance and ferroelectric properties of Sr^(2+) modified PZT-PMN ceramics显示文摘Sr2+ modified polycrystalline PZT-PMN ceramics were synthesized by a semi-wet route. Impedance spectroscopy studies indicate the bulk and grain boundary effects of PZT-PMN material along with the negative temperature coefficient of resistance. The bulk conductivity exhibits an Arrhenius-type thermally activated hopping process which is supported by the AC conductivity behavior as a function of frequency and temperature. It is observed that the remnant polarization increases with an increase in the Sr2+ content in PZT-PMN. | Arvind Kumar S.K.Mishra | 2014 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2014,21,6: | 0
Thermally stimulated properties in ZnSe:Tb and ZnSe:(Mn, Tb) phosphors显示文摘Thermoluminescence studies were performed of ZnSe:Tb and ZnSe:(Mn, Tb) phosphors. A method of preparation for ZnSe phosphors doped with Tb and(Mn, Tb) has been discussed. The thermoluminescence(TL)properties of these phosphors have been studied from 100 to 370 K temperature after exciting by UV radiation(365 nm)at three uniform heating rates 0.4, 0.6 and 0.9 K/s. The trapping parameters like trap depth, lifetime of electrons and capture cross-section have also been determined using various methods. | A.K.Mishra S.K.Mishra S.P.Pandey Kshama Lakshmi Mishra | 2018 | Journal of Semiconductors2018,39,2: | 0
Dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of lanthanum-modified PZTFN ceramics显示文摘Specimens of Pb1-1.5xLax(Zr0.53Ti0.47)1–y–zFeyNbzO3(x = 0, 0.004, 0.008, 0.012, and 0.016, y = z = 0.01)(PZTFN) ceramics were synthesized by a semi-wet route. In the present study, the effect of La doping was investigated on the structural, microstructural, dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of the ceramics. The results show that, the tetragonal(space group P4mm) and rhombohedral(space group R3c) phases are observed to coexist in the sample at x = 0.012. Microstructural investigations of all the samples reveal that La doping inhibits grain growth. Doping of La into PZTFN improves the dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of the ceramics. The hysteresis loops of all specimens exhibit nonlinear behavior. The dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties show a maximum response at x ≥ 0.012, which corresponds to the morphotropic phase boundary(MPB). | Arvind Kumar S.K.Mishra | 2014 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2014,21,10: | 0
