2Nutritional status of children with inflammatory boweldisease in Saudi Arabia显示文摘AIM: To assess the prevalence of nutritional disorders in children with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) in Saudi Arabia.METHODS: The data from a national cohort of children newly diagnosed with IBD between 2003 and 2012 were analyzed. The diagnosis of IBD and the differentiation between Crohn's disease(CD) and ulcerative colitis(UC) were confirmed by gastroenterologists according to the standard criteria. The body mass index(BMI) of each child [weight(kg)/height^2(m)] was calculated at the time of diagnosis. The World Health Organization standards and references were used and the BMI for age > +1 and <-2 standard deviation score were used to define overweight and thinness, respectively. Age stratification analysis was performed to investigate any age-related variation in the prevalence of nutritional status between children < 10 years of age and older.RESULTS: There were 374 children from 0.33 to 17 years of age, including 119(32%) children with UC and 255(68%) with CD. All of the children were Saudi nationals, and 68(57%) of the UC and 150(59%) of the CD children were males. A positive history of anorexia at the time of diagnosis was found in 30(25%) patients with UC and 99(39%) patients with CD. The prevalence of thinness was 31%, 35% and 24% in children with IBD, CD and UC, respectively, with a significantly higher prevalence of thinness in children with CD than in children with UC(P = 0.037) only in the age group of 10-17 years(P = 0.030). The prevalence of overweight was 16 %, 15% and 20 % in the children with IBD, CD and UC, respectively, indicating a higher prevalence in UC that was statistically significant only in the age group of 10-17 years(P = 0.020). CONCLUSION: A high proportion of children with IBD presented with overweight instead of the classical underweight. 5Traffic Management in Internet of Vehicles Using Improved Ant Colony Optimization显示文摘The Internet of Vehicles(IoV)is a networking paradigm related to the intercommunication of vehicles using a network.In a dynamic network,one of the key challenges in IoV is traffic management under increasing vehicles to avoid congestion.Therefore,optimal path selection to route traffic between the origin and destination is vital.This research proposed a realistic strategy to reduce traffic management service response time by enabling real-time content distribution in IoV systems using heterogeneous network access.Firstly,this work proposed a novel use of the Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)algorithm and formulated the path planning optimization problem as an Integer Linear Program(ILP).This integrates the future estimation metric to predict the future arrivals of the vehicles,searching the optimal routes.Considering the mobile nature of IOV,fuzzy logic is used for congestion level estimation along with the ACO to determine the optimal path.The model results indicate that the suggested scheme outperforms the existing state-of-the-art methods by identifying the shortest and most cost-effective path.Thus,this work strongly supports its use in applications having stringent Quality of Service(QoS)requirements for the vehicles.Abida Sharif Imran Sharif Muhammad Asim Saleem Muhammad Attique Khan Majed Alhaisoni Marriam Nawaz Abdullah Alqahtani Ye Jin Kim Byoungchol Chang 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,6:1

9Magnetron sputtered Dy2O3 with chromium and copper contents for antireflective thin films with enhanced absorption显示文摘Dy2O3 is a rare earth oxide having a number of advanced applications in various fields including protective or antireflective coatings,Main objective of this novel research work is to check the effect of Cr and Cu addition on different properties of Dy2O3 and achievement of antireflective thin films with enhanced abso rption.Thin films of these materials we re deposited using DC magnetron with reactive cosputtering.XRD studies reveals the crystalline nature of thin films having Dy2O3(222)reflection in all samples with Cr2O3(116)and CuO(111)reflections in Cr and Cu containing compositions.Field emission scanning electron microscopy demonstrates the homogeneous deposition of thin films with uniform shape,size and distribution of grains.Refractive index,extinction coefficient and absorption coefficient significantly increase while optical reflectance decreases with Cr and Cu mediation corroborating an improved antireflective mechanism.The imaginary part of dielectric constant is found to increase slightly with low tangent loss for Cr containing composition co nsidered favorable for energy storage applications.Shahid M. 11A New Approach to Vague Soft Bi-Topological Spaces显示文摘Fuzzy soft topology considers only membership value.It has nothing to do with the non-membership value.So an extension was needed in this direction.Vague soft topology addresses bothmembership and non-membership values simultaneously.Sometimes vague soft topology(single structure)is unable to address some complex structures.So an extension to vague soft bi-topology(double structure)was needed in this direction.To make this situation more meaningful,a new concept of vague soft bi-topological space is introduced and its structural characteristics are attempted with a new definition.In this article,new concept of vague soft bi-topological space(VSBTS)is initiated and its structural behaviors are attempted.This approach is based on generalized vague soft open sets,known as vague softβopen sets.An ample of examples are given to understand the structures.For the non-validity of some results,counter examples are provided to pay the price.Pair-wise vague softβopen and pair-wise vague softβclose sets are alsoaddressedwith examples in(VSBTS).Vague soft separation axioms are initiatedin(VSBTS)concerning soft points of the space.Other separation axioms are also addressed relative to soft points of the space.Vague soft bi-topological properties are studied with the application of vague softβopen sets with respect to soft points of the spaces.The characterization of vague softβclose as well as vague softβopen sets,characteristics of Bolzano Weirstrass property,vague soft compactness and its marriage with sequences,interconnection between sequential compactness and countable compactness in(VSBTS)with respect to softβopen sets are addressed.Arif Mehmood Saleem Abdullah Choonkil Park 2022Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2022,,4:0
12Hybrid Color Texture Features Classification Through ANN for Melanoma显示文摘Melanoma is of the lethal and rare types of skin cancer.It is curable at an initial stage and the patient can survive easily.It is very difficult to screen all skin lesion patients due to costly treatment.Clinicians are requiring a correct method for the right treatment for dermoscopic clinical features such as lesion borders,pigment networks,and the color of melanoma.These challenges are required an automated system to classify the clinical features of melanoma and non-melanoma disease.The trained clinicians can overcome the issues such as low contrast,lesions varying in size,color,and the existence of several objects like hair,reflections,air bubbles,and oils on almost all images.Active contour is one of the suitable methods with some drawbacks for the segmentation of irre-gular shapes.An entropy and morphology-based automated mask selection is pro-posed for the active contour method.The proposed method can improve the overall segmentation along with the boundary of melanoma images.In this study,features have been extracted to perform the classification on different texture scales like Gray level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)and Local binary pattern(LBP).When four different moments pull out in six different color spaces like HSV,Lin RGB,YIQ,YCbCr,XYZ,and CIE L*a*b then global information from different colors channels have been combined.Therefore,hybrid fused texture features;such as local,color feature as global,shape features,and Artificial neural network(ANN)as classifiers have been proposed for the categorization of the malignant and non-malignant.Experimentations had been carried out on datasets Dermis,DermQuest,and PH2.The results of our advanced method showed super-iority and contrast with the existing state-of-the-art techniques.Saleem Mustafa Arfan Jaffar Muhammad Waseem Iqbal Asma Abubakar Abdullah S.Alshahrani Ahmed Alghamdi 2023Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing2023,,2:0
13Emergency Decision-Making Based on q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Rough Aggregation Information显示文摘With the frequent occurrences of emergency events,emergency decision making(EDM)plays an increasingly significant role in coping with such situations and has become an important and challenging research area in recent times.It is essential for decision makers to make reliable and reasonable emergency decisions within a short span of time,since inappropriate decisions may result in enormous economic losses and social disorder.To handle emergency effectively and quickly,this paper proposes a new EDM method based on the novel concept of q-rung orthopair fuzzy rough(q-ROPR)set.A novel list of q-ROFR aggregation information,detailed description of the fundamental characteristics of the developed aggregation operators and the q-ROFR entropy measure that determine the unknown weight information of decision makers as well as the criteria weights are specified.Further an algorithm is given to tackle the uncertain scenario in emergency to give reliable and reasonable emergency decisions.By using proposed list of q-ROFR aggregation information all emergency alternatives are ranked to get the optimal one.Besides this,the q-ROFR entropy measure method is used to determine criteria and experts’weights objectively in the EDM process.Finally,through an illustrative example of COVID-19 analysis is compared with existing EDM methods.The results verify the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed methodology.Ahmed B.Khoshaim Saleem Abdullah Shahzaib Ashraf Muhammad Naeem 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,12:0

15Optimal Machine Learning Driven Sentiment Analysis on COVID-19 Twitter Data显示文摘The outbreak of the pandemic,caused by Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19),has affected the daily activities of people across the globe.During COVID-19 outbreak and the successive lockdowns,Twitter was heavily used and the number of tweets regarding COVID-19 increased tremendously.Several studies used Sentiment Analysis(SA)to analyze the emotions expressed through tweets upon COVID-19.Therefore,in current study,a new Artificial Bee Colony(ABC)with Machine Learning-driven SA(ABCMLSA)model is developed for conducting Sentiment Analysis of COVID-19 Twitter data.The prime focus of the presented ABCML-SA model is to recognize the sentiments expressed in tweets made uponCOVID-19.It involves data pre-processing at the initial stage followed by n-gram based feature extraction to derive the feature vectors.For identification and classification of the sentiments,the Support Vector Machine(SVM)model is exploited.At last,the ABC algorithm is applied to fine tune the parameters involved in SVM.To demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed ABCML-SA model,a sequence of simulations was conducted.The comparative assessment results confirmed the effectual performance of the proposed ABCML-SA model over other approaches.Bahjat Fakieh Abdullah S.AL-Malaise AL-Ghamdi Farrukh Saleem Mahmoud Ragab 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4:0
16Concept of Yager operators with the picture fuzzy set environment and its application to emergency program selection显示文摘Purpose-The aim of this study as to find out an approach for emergency program selection.Design/methodology/approach-The authors have generated six aggregation operators(AOs),namely picture fuzzy Yager weighted average(PFYWA),picture fuzzy Yager ordered weighted average,picture fuzzy Yager hybrid weighted average,picture fuzzy Yager weighted geometric(PFYWG),picture fuzzy Yager ordered weighted geometric and picture fuzzy Yager hybrid weighted geometric aggregations operators.Findings-First of all,the authors defined the score and accuracy function for picture fuzzy set(FS),and some fundamental operational laws for picture FS using the Yager aggregation operation.After that,using the developed operational laws,developed some AOs,namely PFYWA,picture fuzzy Yager ordered weighted average,picture fuzzy Yager hybrid weighted average,PFYWG,picture fuzzy Yager ordered weighted geometric and picture fuzzy Yager hybrid weighted geometric aggregations operators,have been proposed along with their desirable properties.A decision-making(DM)approach based on these operators has also been presented.An illustrative example has been given for demonstrating the approach.Finally,discussed the comparison of the proposed method with the other existing methods and write the conclusion of the article.Originality/value-To find the best alternative for emergency program selection.Muhammad Qiyas Muhammad Ali Khan Saifullah Khan Saleem Abdullah 2020International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics2020,13,4:0
17Recent progress in MXenes incorporated into electrospun nanofibers for biomedical application: Study focusing from 2017 to 2022显示文摘After discovering a new class of two-dimensional(2D) material, i.e., MXene, a further new scope, came into existence for researchers. Due to their remarkable physical, chemical, and biological properties, MXenes find their role in almost every research discipline. They have been used in biosensors, bioimaging,tissue engineering, drug delivery systems, and other areas. The MXenes can be functionalized with a wide range of atoms/molecules, making them diverse materials. Therefore, the potential of using MXenes in nanofibers can be much more than expected. In this review, we will understand the structure, synthesis,and general properties of MXenes. We will explain using MXenes while encasing them into nanofibers,providing their specific properties. For instance, MXenes-incorporated nanofibers are used in biomedical applications, including soft and hard-tissue engineering and delivery of antimicrobials.
