2Whole-genome sequencing provides insights into the genetic diversity and domestication of bitter gourd(Momordica spp.)显示文摘Bitter gourd(Momordica charantia)is a popular cultivated vegetable in Asian and African countries.To reveal the characteristics of the genomic structure,evolutionary trajectory,and genetic basis underlying the domestication of bitter gourd,we performed whole-genome sequencing of the cultivar Dali-11 and the wild small-fruited line TR and resequencing of 187 bitter gourd germplasms from 16 countries.The major gene clusters(Bi clusters)for the biosynthesis of cucurbitane triterpenoids,which confer a bitter taste,are highly conserved in cucumber,melon,and watermelon.Comparative analysis among cucurbit genomes revealed that the Bi cluster involved in cucurbitane triterpenoid biosynthesis is absent in bitter gourd.Phylogenetic analysis revealed that the TR group,including 21 bitter gourd germplasms,may belong to a new species or subspecies independent from M.charantia.Furthermore,we found that the remaining 166 M.charantia germplasms are geographically differentiated,and we identified 710,412,and 290 candidate domestication genes in the South Asia,Southeast Asia,and China populations,respectively.This study provides new insights into bitter gourd genetic diversity and domestication and will facilitate the future genomics-enabled improvement of bitter gourd.Junjie Cui Yan Yang Shaobo Luo Le Wang Rukui Huang Qingfang Wen Xiaoxia Han Nansheng Miao Jiaowen Cheng Ziji Liu Changyuan Zhang Chengcheng Feng Haisheng Zhu Jianwen Su Xinjian Wan Fang Hu Yu Niu Xiaoming Zheng Yulan Yang Dai Shan Zhensheng Dong Weiming He Narinder P.S.Dhillon Kailin Hu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:7
3Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 5Clinical efficacy of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt created through left or right branches of the portal vein:A meta-analysis显示文摘Background and aim:Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)is a technique successfully used to treat portal hypertension and its complications.However,the choice of the branch,left(L)or right(R),of the portal vein resulting in a better outcome is still under debate.Therefore,this meta-analysis aims to evaluate which branch has a better curative effect on patients treated with TIPS.Methods:PubMed,EMBASE,Web of science,Cochrane Library databases,Wanfang database and CBM were used for our search in October 2019 and updated in June 2021.The following parameters were used in evaluation:overall mortality,hepatic encephalopathy,shunt dysfunction,variceal rebleeding and rate of postoperative ascites.Results:There were seven studies included.The sample size was 1940.A lower risk of mortality was observed in TIPS-L-treated patients compared with TIPS-R-treated ones(OR=0.65,95%CI=0.50-0.85,p=0.002).A lower risk of shunt dysfunction was observed in TIPS-L-treated patients compared with TIPS-R-treated ones(OR=0.53,95%CI=0.33-0.87,p=0.01).And the TIPS-L group had a significantly higher hepatic encephalopathy-free rate than the TIPS-R group(OR=0.59,95%CI=0.44-0.78,p=0.0002).However,the rate of rebleeding(OR=0.75,95%CI=0.55-1.03,p=0.07)and incidence of postoperative ascites(OR=1.14,95%CI=0.86-1.51,p=0.38)was not statistically significant between the two groups.Conclusions:Based on the currently available evidence,the technique of TIPS through the left branch of the portal vein can significantly reduce the occurrence of overall postoperative mortality,hepatic encephalopathy and shunt dysfunction.Shaobo Zhai Qi Cui Fang Dong Shiqi Wen Moubo Si Quan Chen 2021Journal of Interventional Medicine2021,4,4:2

10Effects of Amino Acid or Fulibao Nutritional Additives on Slaughter Performance and Pork Quality of Pigs显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to study the effects of amino acid or Fulibao nutritional additives on slaughter performance and pork quality of pigs,and to provide a theoretical basis for improving pork quality in pig breeding industry.[Method]Six Landrace×Yorkshire castrated male piglets were divided into three groups.The piglets in the first group were fed with conventional diet and used as the control.The piglets in the experimental group I were fed with the conventional diet supplementing 0.1%Fulibao,and those in the experimental group II were fed with the conventional diet supplementing 0.36%compound amino acid preparation.The piglets were reared for 2 months before being slaughtered.[Result]The average daily gains of piglets in the experimental groups I and II were 17.7%and 6.73%higher than that in the control group,but there was no difference in feed/gain ratio among the three groups.The dressing percentages of piglets in the experimental groups I and II were 2.7%and 1.72%higher than that in the control group,and the lean meat percentages were 3.5%and 7.97%higher than that in the control group,respectively.The meat fat ratios in the two experimental groups were significantly higher than that in the control group.The intermuscular fat in the experimental group II was significantly higher than that in the control group.However,the contents of intermuscular fat and inosinic acid in the experimental group II were significantly lower than those in the control group.[Conclusion]Both additives can improve the average daily gain and main slaughter performance of pigs,but can not improve the inosine acid content,and the compound amino acid preparation can not improve the intermuscular fat content.Li Shaobo Zheng Boqiang Li Xiuliang Huang Jie Du Lijuan Sun Qinju Yang Cui Yang Jiahuang 2022Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2022,14,4:0

12Effects of gate dielectric thickness and semiconductor thickness on device performance of organic field-effect transistors based on pentacene显示文摘In this paper,the pentacene-based organic field-effect transistors(OFETs)with poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)as gate dielectrics were fabricated,and the effects of gate dielectric thickness and semiconductor thickness on the device performance were investigated.The optimal PMMA thickness is in the range of 350–400 nm to sustain a considerable current density and stable performance.The device performance depends on the thicknesses of the active layer non-monotonically,which can be explained by the morphology of the pentacene film and the position of the conducting channel in the active layer.The device with a pentacene thickness of 50 nm shows the best performance,which has a maximum hole mobility of 1.12 cm2/V·s.In addition,the introduction of a thin layer of tris-(8-hydroxyquinolinato)aluminum(Alq3)to the OFETs as a light-emitting material greatly decreases the device performance.YI Ran LOU ZhiDong HU YuFeng CUI ShaoBo TENG Feng 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,6:0
13Effects of Addition of Amino Acids or Soybean Phospholipid in Diet on Slaughter Performance and Meat Quality of Pigs显示文摘[Objectives]The study aims to discuss the effects of addition of arginine and glutamic acid or soybean phospholipid,vitamin E and yeast selenium in diet on the slaughter performance and meat quality of long(white)×large(York)binary hybrid pigs.[Methods]27 long×large castrated hybrid boars with the body weight of(54.4±0.15)kg were randomly divided into 3 groups,with 3 replicates per group and 3 pigs per replicate.Group A was the control group,in which the pigs were fed basal diet;in group B,0.8%arginine and 0.60%glutamate were added to the basal diet;in group C,75 g of soybean phospholipid,20 g of vitamin E and 8 g of yeast selenium were added to every 100 kg of the basal diet.The trial period was 60 d.After the experiment was ended,one test pig with similar body weight was selected from each replicate for slaughter and meat determination.[Results]The average weight gain and eye muscle area of the pigs in group B were significantly higher than those in group C(P<0.05),and also showed an increasing trend compared with group A,but there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);there was no significant difference between group B or C and group A in the average weight gain and eye muscle area(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in other slaughter performance between the three groups(P>0.05).Besides,there was also no significant difference in the content of various amino acids,total amino acids and total umami amino acids between the three groups(P>0.05).The inosine content in the longissimus dorsi muscle and muscle cooking loss of binary hybrid pigs in group C were significantly better than those in group B(P<0.05),and also had a tendency to be better than those in group A,but there was no significant difference(P>0.05);there was no significant difference between group B or C and group A in the inosine content and muscle cooking loss of the pigs(P>0.05).In addition,there was no significant difference in other meat traits and chemical composition of the longissimus dorsi muscle between group B or C and group A(P>0.05).[Conclusions]The addition of arginine and glutamic acid or soybean phospholipid,vitamin E and yeast selenium in diet had no significant effect on the growth rate,slaughter performance and meat traits of long×large binary hybrid pigs.Sicong LUO Shaobo LI Xiangyun HU Min CHEN Lingxiu GAN Tingju HUANG Wenjie LU Junxiang HUANG Haimei DENG Jiahuang YANG Cui YANG Xiuliang LI 2023Asian Agricultural Research2023,15,4:0
