1An Integrated Control and Protection System for Photovoltaic Microgrids显示文摘The microgrid has shown to be a promising solution for the integration and management of intermittent renewable energy generation.This paper looks at critical issues surrounding microgrid control and protection.It proposes an integrated control and protection system with a hierarchical coordination control strategy consisting of a stand-alone operation mode,a grid-connected operation mode,and transitions between these two modes for a microgrid.To enhance the fault ride-through capability of the system,a comprehensive three-layer hierarchical protection system is also proposed,which fully adopts different protection schemes,such as relay protection,a hybrid energy storage system(HESS)regulation,and an emergency control.The effectiveness,feasibility,and practicality of the proposed systems are validated on a practical photovoltaic(PV)microgrid.This study is expected to provide some theoretical guidance and engineering construction experience for microgrids in general.Laijun Chen Shengwei Mei 2015CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2015,1,1:27

3VSG-based Adaptive Droop Control for Frequency and Active Power Regulation in the MTDC System显示文摘In this paper,a VSG(virtual synchronous generator)-based method with adaptive active power and DC voltage droop is proposed for the control of VSC stations in the multi-terminal DC(MTDC)system.This control strategy can improve the inertial level of the AC networks and attenuate the rate of change of frequency when a disturbance occurs.In addition,the droop control of the active power and DC voltage is implemented to make the AC networks share the unbalanced power in the MTDC.The droop coefficients are adaptively adjusted depending on the frequency margin of every AC network,which makes the allocation of unbalanced power among AC networks more reasonable from the frequency variation perspective.The control strategy is evaluated in the scenarios of sudden load change and wind turbine tripping,and the results are presented to demonstrate its effectiveness.Ren Wang Laijun Chen Tianwen Zheng Shengwei Mei 2017CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2017,3,3:13

5Game Theory Algorithm of Reconfiguration for Shipboard Power System显示文摘船舶电力系统故障重构通过改变系统供电路径来恢复重要负载的供电,对增强系统的存活性有着重要意义。在多智能体(agent)架构的基础上,构建船舶电力系统博弈重构模型并提出求解方法。该模型以船舶电力系统中不同区域的agent作为博弈参与者,将船舶电力系统的重构问题转化为各agent之间的合作一竞争问题,从而保证重要负载的恢复供电。论文进一步提出该模型的求解算法,该算法首先判断博弈模式的合作与非合作属性,之后通过agent或agent联盟之间的博弈过程,计算各agent所属的负载/发电机的投切及转移策略。仿真算例表明,该算法能够快速有效地求解船舶电力系统重构问题,最大程度保证系统的存活性。WANG Guanqun ZHANG Xuemin LIU Feng MEI Shengwei 2012中国电机工程学报2012,32,13:11

7NR-PSS (Nonlinear Robust Power System Stabilizer) for large synchronous generators and its large disturbance experiments on real time digital simulator显示文摘On the foundation of nonlinear robust control and exact generator model, this paper presents a design principle of NR-PSS (Nonlinear Robust Power System Stabilizer) for multi-machine power system, based on which an industrial NR-PSS equipment is developed. For popularizing it, the proposed parameter setting method of NR-PSS is completely the same as the widely used parameter adjustment rule of PSS. By virtue of real time digital simulator (RTDS), large disturbance experiments are carried out to compare the performances between generator excitation system equipped with NR-PSS and PSS in order to verify the correctness of design theory. The results show that compared with classical PSS, the proposed NR-PSS can dramatically improve the generator damping and attenuate the oscillation much faster, enhance the generator damping and raise both the small signal and large disturbance transient stability transmission power limit remarkably. 8On power system blackout modeling and analysis based on self-organized criticality显示文摘This paper makes a comprehensive survey on power system blackout modeling and analysis based on SOC (self-organized criticality). Firstly,a generalized SOC theory from the viewpoint of cybernetics is introduced. Then the evolution model of power system and its relative mathematical description,which serves as a concrete example of the proposed generalized SOC,are given. Secondly,five blackout models capturing various critical properties of power systems in different time-scales are listed. 9On expansion of estimated stability region:Theory,methodology,and application to power systems显示文摘The expansion of the estimated stability region plays an important role in the stability analysis of nonlinear systems.However,current literatures have not provided a complete mathematical description for this problem.This paper reveals that essentially the enlargement or the compression of the estimated stability region results directly from the diffeomorphism map,which is induced by the flow contained in the stability region.By proving that any integration algorithm with an order higher than one can approximately trace the flow of the system,a generalized methodology is proposed to construct various algorithms to realize the enlargement or the compression of the estimated stability region.With this methodology,two new algorithms based on symbolic calculation are suggested to reduce the computational burden.Furthermore,this methodology is applied to construct a scalable numerical algorithm to calculate the critical clearing time(CCT) of the power system for given faults.Tests on the IEEE 10-machine 39-bus system show that the computational results coincide well with the step-by-step simulation with high accuracy.LIU Feng WEI Wei MEI ShengWei 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,6:9
10Advanced EMS and its trial operation in Shanghai power system显示文摘To meet the demand of high stability,high quality,and low losses of power systems,the advanced energy management system (AEMS) is established and revealed in this bulletin,which has been put into trial operation in Shanghai power system for almost half a year. The AEMS is novel from all aspects covering idea,theory,method,software,and engineering. The essence of AEMS is exercising the hybrid automatic control theory and technology to realize multi-objective optimal closed-loop control of power systems. Based on an 'event-driven' strategy,the AEMS transforms multi-objective optimal control problems into event identification and elimination by defining the unsatisfactory states of a power system as events. 12Flexible unbalanced control with peak current limitation for virtual synchronous generator under voltage sags显示文摘Virtual synchronous generator(VSG)is gridfriendly for integrating distributed generations(DGs)since it can emulate the operation mechanism of traditional synchronous generator(SG).However,the traditional VSG control strategy,which is mainly suitable for balanced voltage conditions,may lead to power oscillations,current unbalance and even overcurrent under unbalanced voltage sags.To overcome this difficulty,a flexible unbalanced control with peak current limitation for VSG under unbalanced operating conditions is proposed.Based on the basic VSG control algorithm,the control strategy integrates two novel control modules,which are current reference generator(CRG)and power reference generator(PRG).The proposed control strategy can flexibly meet different operation demands,which includes current balancing,constant active or reactive power.And the injected currents are kept within safety values for a better utilization of the VSG power capacity.Furthermore,the experimental platform is built.Experimental results demonstrate the validness and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.Tianwen ZHENG Laijun CHEN Yan GUO Shengwei MEI 2018Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2018,6,1:6
13Dynamic extending nonlinear H_∞ control and its application to hydraulic turbine governor显示文摘There exists a large class of nonlinear systems with uncertainties, such as hydrau- lic turbine governors, whose robust control problem is hard to solve by means of the existing robust control approaches. For this class of systems, this work pre- sents a dynamic extending H∞ controller via both differential geometry and H∞ the- ory. Furthermore, based on differential game theory, it has been verified that the proposed control strategy has robustness in the sense that the disturbance can be attenuated effectively because the L2-gain from the disturbance input to the regu- lation output signal could be reduced to any given level. Thirdly, a robust control strategy for hydraulic turbine governor is designed according to the proposed ex- tending H∞ control method, and has been developed into a real control equipment. 16Noble Gas Isotopic Compositions of Cobalt-rich Ferromanganese Crusts from the Western Pacific Ocean and Their Geological Implications显示文摘Noble gas isotopic compositions of various layers in three-layered (outer, porous and compact layers) cobalt-rich ferromanganese crusts and their basaltic and phosphorite substrates from the western Pacific Ocean were analyzed by using a high vacuum gas mass spectrum. The analytical results show that the noble gases in the Co-rich crusts have derived mainly from the ambient seawater, extraterrestrial grains such as interplanetary dust particles (IDPs) and wind-borne continental dust grains, and locally formation water in the submarine sediments, but different noble gases have different sources. He in the crusts derives predominantly from the extraterrestrial grains, with a negligible amount of radiogenic He from the eolian dust grains. Ar is sourced mainly from the dissolved air in the seawater and insignificantly from radiogenic Ar in the eolian continental dust grains or the formation water. Xe and Ne derive mainly from the seawater, with minor amounts of extraterrestrial Xe and Ne in the IDPs. Compared with the porous and outer layers, the compact layer has a relatively high 4He content and lower 3He/4He ratios, suggesting that marine phosphatization might have greatly modified the noble gas isotopic compositions of the crusts. Besides, the 3He/4He values of the basaltic substrates of the cobalt-rich crusts are very low and their R/Ra ratios are mostly <0.1 Ra, which are similar to that of phosphorite substrates (0.087 Ra), but much lower than that of fresh submarine MORB (8.75±2.14 Ra) or seamount basalts (3-43 Ra), implying that the basaltic substrates have suffered strong water/rock interaction and reacted with radiogenic 4He and P-rich upwelling marine currents during phosphatization. The trace elements released in the basalt/seawater interaction might favor the growth of cobalt-rich crusts. The architec- ture, features and key contents of the DPS are presented, which include intelligent dispatching system, hybrid automatic control system and data sharing platform. The successful construction of the DPS can greatly improve the performances of power system operating and dispatching, which mainly reflect a fundamental in- crease of the ability of avoiding catastrophes resulting from blackouts of power supply, a significant improvement of economic efficiency of power system opera- tion, and an improvement of decision efficiency of power system developing. The DPS describes a vision of the development of power system and the way to achieve this vision. 18Robust Unit Commitment for Large-scale Wind Generation and Run-off-river Hydropower显示文摘Increased penetration of large-scale renewable sources such as wind and solar power creates additional constraints for power system maintenance,reliability and security.The intermittent and fluctuation characteristics of renewable energy require robust operation methodologies.Co-optimized scheduling of multiple energy resources is regarded as an efficient way to accommodate renewable energy.As the second largest source of electricity in the world,hydro power is clean and has the merits of ease of regulation,low cost and high flexibility.In this regard,it can play an important role in mitigating the uncertainty of wind power.This paper proposes a robust wind-hydro-thermal unit commitment(UC)model that provides reliable day-ahead unit commitment decisions.The hydro units are operated in longer time scales than the thermal units,so as to capture reservoir operations.The hydro production capability curve is linearized by using variable separation and the piecewise linear(PWL)function,leading to a mixed integer linear programming(MILP)problem that can be solved using mature software such as CPLEX.Numerical tests on an IEEE 39-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model to increase system flexibility in accommodation of uncertain wind power.Yue Chen Feng Liu Wei Wei Shengwei Mei Naichao Chang 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,4:3
19A novel decomposition and coordination algorithm for complex networks and its application to power grids显示文摘To analyze and control complex networks effectively, this paper puts forward a new kind of scheme, which takes control separately in each area and can achieve the network’s coordinated optimality. The proposed algorithm is made up of two parts: the first part decomposes the network into several independent areas based on community structure and decouples the information flow and control power among areas; the second part selects the center nodes from each area with the help of the control centrality index. As long as the status of center nodes is kept on a satisfactory level in each area, the whole system is under effective control. 20Transient stability and emergency control显示文摘Comparability of emergency control strategies with different instability modes is the key issue to decide which control strategy to be implemented. This paper considers that the essential factor causing instability should be used to form a unified standard to assess the effectiveness of control strategies with different instability modes. Thus a switching control stabilization principle was proposed based on elimination of the unbalanced energy between mechanical and electrical energies of generator sets. Along this way, the difficulty of seeking a Lyapunov function was circumvented. According to the principle, an emergency control algorithm framework was established to handle transient stability assessment, control location selection and control amount evaluation. Within the framework, this paper studied instability mode transition, then proposed an algorithm based on prediction function and a new approach to normalized stability margin stemmed from static EEAC method, which can increase comparability of various control locations.
