1Interfacial Activation of Catalytically Inert Au(6.7 nm)-Fe_(3)O_(4)Dumbbell Nanoparticles for CO Oxidation显示文摘Au nanoparticles epitaxially grown on Fe_(3)O_(4)in Au(6.7 nm)-Fe_(3)O_(4)dumbbell nanoparticles exhibit excellent stability against sintering,but display negligible catalytic activity in CO oxidation.Starting from various supported Au(6.7 nm)-Fe_(3)O_(4)catalysts prepared by the colloidal deposition method,we have unambiguously identifi ed the significance of the Au-TiO_(2)interface in CO oxidation,without any possible size effect of Au.In situ thermal decomposition of TiO_(2)precursors on Au-Fe_(3)O_(4)was found to be an effective way to increase the Au-TiO_(2)interface and thereby optimize the catalytic performance of TiO_(2)-supported Au-Fe_(3)O_(4)dumbbell nanoparticles.By reducing the size of Fe_(3)O_(4)from 15.2 to 4.9 nm,the Au-TiO_(2)contact was further increased so that the resulting TiO_(2)-supported Au(6.7 nm)-Fe_(3)O_(4)(4.9 nm)dumbbell particles become highly efficient catalysts for CO oxidation at room temperature.Binghui Wu Hai Zhang Cheng Chen Shuichao Lin Nanfeng Zheng 2009Nano Research2009,2,12:7
2Superatomic Aub clusters ligated by different N-heterocyclic carbenes and their ligand-dependent catalysis, photoluminescence, and proton sensitivity显示文摘We report herein a class of superatomic AU13 clusters stabilized by different N-heterocyclic carbenes(NHCs).The clusters show diverse metal surface structures,properties and functions as exemplified by:(1)the first anionic AU13 cluster[Au1g(NHC-1)sBr6],which has bulky NHC-1 ligands that lead to a rather open metal surface contributing to its high catalytic activity;(2)the tricationic cluster[Au13(NHC-2)sBr2]+which has bidentate,benzyl-rich NHC-2 ligands that make it ultra-stable and highly-luminescent,suitable for bio-imaging;and(3)by bearing two pyridyl groups on NHC-3,the dicationic cluster[Au:a(NHC-3)gClg]f+exhibits reversible and stable visible absorption and solubility responses to protonation/deprotonation cycles,making it a potential pH sensor(NHC-1=1,3-disopropylbenzimidazolin-ylidene;NHC-2=1,3-bis(1-benzyl-1H-benzimidazol-1-ium-yl)propane;NHC-3=1,3-bis(icolyI)benzimidazolin-ylidene).The study nicely demonstrates the importance of ligands in designing metal nanoclusters with desired functionalities.Hui Shen Sijin Xiang Zhen Xu Chen Liu Xihua Li Cunfa Sun Shuichao Lin Boon K.Teo Nanfeng Zheng 2020Nano Research2020,13,7:6
3Tuning Solvent Composition to Enhance the Stability of Metal Clusters in Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Electrospray ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry(ESI-TOF-MS)has been recognized as a powerful technique for studying metal clusters’chemical composition and reaction mechanisms.It is a great challenge in mass spectrometry analysis to maintain the metal cluster molecules intact without fragmentation,which is achieved in this work by using mixed solvents to change the interaction between cluster molecules and solvent molecules,further affecting the fragmentation behaviors of the metal cluster in MS.Theoretical analysis reveals that the stability of the[(C)Au_(6)Ag_(2)(C_(18)H_(14)ONP)_(6)]^(4+)cluster in ESI-TOF-MS is related to the strength of the chemical bonds between its own atoms and the bonding between the solvent and the cluster molecules.Yingzi Han Yihuang Jiang Jing Jeanne Yang Shuichao Lin Zichao Tang Lansun Zheng 2022Chinese Journal of Structural Chemistry2022,41,4:0
