| 1 | A novel approach of testability modeling and analysis for PHM systems based on failure evolution mechanism显示文摘Prognostics and health management (PHM) significantly improves system availability and reliability, and reduces the cost of system operations. Design for testability (DFT) developed concurrently with system design is an important way to improve PHM capability. Testability modeling and analysis are the foundation of DFT. This paper proposes a novel approach of testability modeling and analysis based on failure evolution mechanisms. At the component level, the fault progression-related information of each unit under test (UUT) in a system is obtained by means of failure modes, evolution mechanisms, effects and criticality analysis (FMEMECA), and then the failure-symptom dependency can be generated. At the system level, the dynamic attributes of UUTs are assigned by using the bond graph methodology, and then the symptom-test dependency can be obtained by means of the functional flow method. Based on the failure-symptom and symptom-test dependencies, testability analysis for PHM systems can be realized. A shunt motor is used to verify the application of the approach proposed in this paper. | 4 | Assessing the numbers of SNPs needed to establish molecular IDs and characterize the genetic diversityof soybean cultivars derived from Tokachi nagaha显示文摘The development of a core set of SNP molecular markers that could be widely used in soybean genetic research would greatly facilitate research into the genetic diversity of soybean.We conducted an analysis of Tokachi nagaha and 137 of its descendant soybean cultivars using 4044 SNP markers with the goal of determining the appropriate number of single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)needed to construct unambiguous molecular IDs and characterize genetic diversity based on a genetic distance matrix correlation method.When the number of SNPs was held constant,the number of accession pairs that could be distinguished increased as the polymorphism informative content(PIC)value of the SNPs increased.A core panel of 20 selected SNPs from 11 linkage groups with a mean PIC value of 0.3703 and a range of 0.3640–0.3749 was able to identify almost all of the accession pairs in our study[9445 pairs(99.92%)].The eight accession pairs that could not be identified with this core SNP set all originated from the same province and some of them had the same parental cultivars.The molecular IDs of the 138 accessions were constructed using the core 20 SNPs.It is known that both the number of SNPs and PIC values should be considered when SNPs are selected for use in the analysis of genetic diversity.In this study,when the PIC value was 0.3460,the correlation coefficient between the genetic distance matrices associated with a panel of 200 SNPs and the total population was>0.800,indicating satisfactory correlation.Our high-accuracy,high-resolution core SNP panel for germplasm fingerprinting and our findings about assessing genetic diversity will likely markedly improve the management and utilization efficiency of soybean germplasm resources. | Zhangxiong Liu Jun Li Xuhong Fan Nang Myint Phyu Sin Htwe Shuming Wang Wen Huang Jiyu Yang Lili Xing Lijun Chen Yinghui Li Rongxia Guan Ruzhen Chang Dechun Wang Lijuan Qiu | 2017 | The Crop Journal2017,5,4: | 10 |

| 6 | The temporal-spatial distribution and changes of dissolved oxygen in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the last 50 a显示文摘The Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters form one of the most important estuarine and coastal areas in China. Multi source and long-term data are assembled to examine the temporal-spatial distribution features of dissolved oxygen(DO) in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters for the past 50 a. The results show that the DO concentration in the surface of different seasons generally stays stable, while the DO concentration in winter displays a slight increase for the last 50 a. The DO average concentration in winter and spring varies from 7to 11 mg/L, and in summer and autumn from 6 to 8 mg/L. Hypoxic values first appear in May, and low DO value plume can be observed on the bottom in spring along coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces, China. In summer, the plume advances northward, and the hypoxic intensity of northern transects is much higher than southern transects. Until autumn, hypoxia areas fade away little by little, and completely disappear in winter.Within last 50 a, hypoxia in the Changjiang Estuary and its adjacent waters starts to appear in the 1980 s. Since2000, the degree of hypoxia has increased seriously and the distribution depth has become smaller. | 8 | Elemental Content in Brown Rice by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy Reveals the Evolution of Asian Cultivated Rice显示文摘The phylogenetic relationship for classification traits and eight mineral elements in brown rice(Oryza sativa L.) from Yunnan Province in China was carried out using microwave assisted digestion followed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy,and the analytical procedures were carefully controlled and validated.In general,the results show that the mean levels of K,Ca,Mg,Fe and Cu in brown rice for 789 accessions of rice landraces was distinctly lower than that of improved cultivars.They further demonstrate that Ca plays an important role in the differentiation of subspecies indica-japonica,especially to enhance adaptation of cold stress,and that five mineral elements in brown rice enhance the eurytopicity from landrace to improved cultivar.Hierarchical cluster analysis,using average linkage from SPSS software based on eight mineral elements in brown rice,showed that Yunnan rice could be grouped into rice landrace and improved cultivar,with the rice landrace being further clustered into five subgroups,and that,interestingly,purple rice does not cluster with either of the groups.Our present data confirm that indica is the closest relative of late rice and white rice,and that they constitute rice landraces together,whereas japonica is the closest relatives of non-nuda,early-mid and glutinous rice.It is further shown that japonica,non-nuda,early-mid,glutinous,white and red rice might be more primitive than indica,nuda,late,non-glutinous and purple rice,respectively. | Yawen Zeng Luxiang Wang Juan Du Jiafu Liu Shuming Yang Xiaoying Pu Fenghui Xiao | 2009 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5: | 4 |

| 10 | Sensor Optimization Selection Model Based on Testability Constraint显示文摘Sensor selection and optimization is one of the important parts in design for testability. To address the problems that the traditional sensor optimization selection model does not take the requirements of prognostics and health management especially fault prognostics for testability into account and does not consider the impacts of sensor actual attributes on fault detectability, a novel sensor optimization selection model is proposed. Firstly, a universal architecture for sensor selection and optimization is provided. Secondly, a new testability index named fault predictable rate is defined to describe fault prognostics requirements for testability. Thirdly, a sensor selection and optimization model for prognostics and health management is constructed, which takes sensor cost as objective function and the defined testability indexes as constraint conditions. Due to NP-hard property of the model, a generic algorithm is designed to obtain the optimal solution. At last, a case study is presented to demonstrate the sensor selection approach for a stable tracking servo platform. The application results and comparison analysis show the proposed model and algorithm are effective and feasible. | 11 | Fabrication of Nanoscale Step Height Structure Using Atomic Layer Deposition Combined with Wet Etching显示文摘The current techniques used for the fabrication of nanosteps are normally done by layer growth and then ion beam thinning. There are also extra films grown on the step surfaces in order to reduce the roughness. So the whole process is time consuming. In this paper, a nanoscale step height structure is fabricated by atomic layer deposition(ALD) and wet etching techniques. According to the traceable of the step height value, the fabrication process is controllable. Because ALD technology can grow a variety of materials, aluminum oxide(Al_2O_3) is used to fabricate the nanostep. There are three steps of Al_2O_3 in this structure including 8 nm, 18 nm and 44 nm. The thickness of Al_2O_3 film and the height of the step are measured by anellipsometer. The experimental results show that the thickness of Al_2O_3 film is consistent with the height of the step. The height of the step is measured by AFM. The measurement results show that the height is related to the number of cycles of ALD and the wet etching time. The bottom and the sidewall surface roughness are related to the wet etching time. The step height is calibrated by Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt(PTB) and the results were 7.5±1.5 nm, 15.5±2.0 nm and 41.8±2.1 nm, respectively. The experimental results show that the ultimate tensile strengths of two alloys decrease very slowly with increasing temperature up to 200?C. The ultimate tensile strength of heat-treated Mg-12Gd-3Y-0.5Zr is slight lower than that of as-rolled counterpart; however, the fatigue strength of heat-treated alloy is higher. The mechanism of fatigue failure was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
