2Friction and Wear Behavior of Resin/Graphite Composite under Dry Sliding显示文摘The friction and wear behavior of resin/graphite composite has been investigated using a pin-on-disc configuration under dry sliding condition. The results showed that the resin/graphite composite exhibited much better mechanical and tribological properties compared with the unimpregnated graphite. The friction coefficient was reduced by addition of furan resin, which could also prevent the'dusting' wear at loads more than 15 MPa. The steady and lubricated transfer film was easily formed on the counterpart surface due to the interaction of furan resin and wear debris of graphite, which was useful to reduce the wear rate of the resin/graphite composite. 3Addition of prokinetics to PPI therapy in gastroesophageal reflux disease:A meta-analysis显示文摘AIM:To investigate the efficacy of adding prokinetics to proton pump inhibitors(PPIs)for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).METHODS:PubMed,Cochrane Library,and Web of Knowledge databases(prior to October 2013)were systematically searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)that compared therapeutic efficacy of PPI alone(single therapy)or PPI plus prokinetics(combined therapy)for GERD.The primary outcome of those selected trials was complete or partial relief of non-erosive reflux disease symptoms or mucosal healing in erosive reflux esophagitis.Using the test of heterogeneity,we established a fixed or random effects model where the risk ratio was the primary readout for measuring efficacy.RESULTS:Twelve RCTs including 2403 patients in total were enrolled in this study.Combined therapy was not associated with significant relief of symptoms or alterations in endoscopic response relative to single therapy(95%CI:1.0-1.2,P=0.05;95%CI:0.66-2.61,P=0.44).However,combined therapy was associated with a greater symptom score change(95%CI:2.14-3.02,P<0.00001).Although there was a reduction in the number of reflux episodes in GERD[95%CI:-5.96-(-1.78),P=0.0003]with the combined therapy,there was no significant effect on acid exposure time(95%CI:-0.37-0.60,P=0.65).The proportion of patients with adverse effects undergoing combined therapy was significantly higher than for PPI therapy alone(95%CI:1.06-1.36,P=0.005)when the difference between 5-HT receptor agonist and PPI combined therapy and single therapy(95%CI:0.84-1.39,P=0.53)was excluded.CONCLUSION:Combined therapy may partially improve patient quality of life,but has no significant effect on symptom or endoscopic response of GERD.Li-Hua Ren Wei-Xu Chen Li-Juan Qian Shuo Li Min Gu Rui-Hua Shi 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,9:14
4Micro RNA-1290 promotes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cell proliferation and metastasis显示文摘AIM:To investigate the biological role of mi R-1290 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) progression and invasion and the underlying mechanism.METHODS:Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was performed to evaluate mi R-1290 expression in ESCC tissue samples.The roles of mi R-1290 in cell proliferation,migration and invasion were identified using mi R-1290 mimic-transfected cells.In addition,the regulatory effect of mi R-1290 on suppressor of cancer cell invasion(SCAI) was evaluated using q RT-PCR,Western blot analysis and a dual luciferase reporter assay.RESULTS:mi R-1290 was significantly upregulated in ESCC tissue samples compared with normal adjacent tissues(9.213 ± 1.150 vs 1.000 ± 0.0),(P < 0.01).Upregulation of mi R-1290 was associated with tumor differentiation(P = 0.021),N classification(P = 0.006) and tumor-node-metastasis stage(P = 0.021) in ESCC patients.Moreover,ectopic mi R-1290 expression potently promoted ESCC cell growth(P < 0.01),migration(P < 0.01) and invasion(P < 0.01) in vitro.mi R-1290 overexpression in ESCC cell lines decreased SCAI expression at the translational level and reduced SCAI-driven luciferase-reporter activity(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:Our findings suggested that mi R-1290 may play an oncogenic role in cellular processes of ESCC.Ming Li Xiao-Yan He Zhi-Mei Zhang Shuo Li Li-Hua Ren Ri-Sheng Cao Ya-Dong Feng Yin-Lin Ji Ye Zhao Rui-Hua Shi 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,11:13
5Early constraint-induced movement therapy affects behavior and neuronal plasticity in ischemia-injured rat brains显示文摘Constraint-induced movement therapy is an effective rehabilitative training technique used to improve the restoration of impaired upper extremity movement after stroke. However, whether constraint-induced movement therapy is more effective than conventional rehabilitation in acute or sub-acute stroke remains controversial. The aim of the present study was to identify the optimal time to start constraint-induced movement therapy after ischemic stroke and to explore the mechanisms by which constraint-induced movement therapy leads to post-stroke recovery. Sixty-four adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups: sham-surgery group, cerebral ischemia/reperfusion group, early constraint-induced movement therapy group, and late constraint-induced movement therapy group. Rat models of left middle cerebral artery occlusion were established according to the Zea Longa line embolism method. Constraint-induced movement therapy was conducted starting on day 1 or day 14 in the early constraint-induced movement therapy and late constraint-induced movement therapy groups, respectively. To explore the effect of each intervention time on neuromotor function, behavioral function was assessed using a balance beam walking test before surgery and at 8 and 21 days after surgery. The expression levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, nerve growth factor and Nogo receptor were evaluated using real time-polymerase chain reaction and western blot assay to assess the effect of each intervention time. The results showed that the behavioral score was significantly lower in the early constraint-induced movement therapy group than in the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion and late constraint-induced movement therapy groups at 8 days. At 21 days, the scores had significantly decreased in the early constraint-induced movement therapy and late constraint-induced movement therapy groups. At 8 days, only mild pyknosis appeared in neurons of the ischemic penumbra in the early constraint-induced movement therapy group, which was distinctly better than in the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion group. At 21 days, only a few vacuolated cells were observed and no obvious inflammatory cells were visible in late constraint-induced movement therapy group, which was much better than at 8 days. The mRNA and protein expression levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor and nerve growth factor were significantly higher, but expression levels of Nogo receptor were significantly lower in the early constraint-induced movement therapy group compared with the cerebral ischemia/reperfusion and late constraint-induced movement therapy groups at 8 days. The changes in expression levels at 21 days were larger but similar in both the early constraint-induced movement therapy and late constraint-induced movement therapy groups. Besides, the protein nerve growth factor level was higher in the late constraint-induced movement therapy group than in the early constraint-induced movement therapy group at 21 days. These results suggest that both early(1 day) and late(14 days) constraint-induced movement therapy induces molecular plasticity and facilitates functional recovery after ischemic stroke, as illustrated by the histology. 7Recent Advances in Self-Supported Layered Double Hydroxides for Oxygen Evolution Reaction显示文摘Electrochemical water splitting driven by clean and sustainable energy sources to produce hydrogen is an efficient and environmentally friendly energy conversion technology.Water splitting involves hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),in which OER is the limiting factor and has attracted extensive research interest in the past few years.Conventional noble-metal-based OER electrocatalysts like IrO_(2) and RuO_(2) suffer from the limitations of high cost and scarce availability.Developing innovative alternative nonnoble metal electrocatalysts with high catalytic activity and long-term durability to boost the OER process remains a significant challenge.Among all of the candidates for OER catalysis,selfsupported layered double hydroxides(LDHs)have emerged as one of the most promising types of electrocatalysts due to their unique layered structures and high electrocatalytic activity.In this review,we summarize the recent progress on self-supported LDHs and highlight their electrochemical catalytic performance.Specifically,synthesis methods,structural and compositional parameters,and influential factors for optimizing OER performance are discussed in detail.Finally,the remaining challenges facing the development of self-supported LDHs are discussed and perspectives on their potential for use in industrial hydrogen production through water splitting are provided to suggest future research directions.Libo Wu Luo Yu Xin Xiao Fanghao Zhang Shaowei Song Shuo Chen Zhifeng Ren 2020Research2020,,1:7
8Secular trends in incidence of lung cancer by histological type in Beijing, China, 2000-2016显示文摘Objective: The objective of this study was to characterize secular trends in the sex-specific, age-standardized incidence of lung cancer by histological type in Beijing, China, from 2000 to 2016 based on data from a populationbased cancer registry.Methods: Data on the incidence of cancer from 2000 to 2016 were obtained from the Beijing Cancer Registry.We examined trends in the sex-specific, age-standardized incidence of lung cancer by histological type using a Joinpoint regression model.Results: A total of 117,409 cases of lung cancer were diagnosed from 2000 to 2016. Overall, 73,062(62.23%)patients were males. The most common histological type among both sexes was adenocarcinoma; however, the proportion of adenocarcinoma differed significantly between males and females(45.36% vs. 77.14%, respectively,P<0.0001). The age-standardized incidence of total lung cancer increased from 2000 to 2010 with an annual percent change(APC) of 2.2% [95% confidence interval(95% CI), 1.5% to 2.9%] and stabilized thereafter. Among males, the incidence of total lung cancer peaked in 2008 and then decreased slightly, with an APC of-1.1%(95%CI,-2.1% to-0.1%). Among females, the incidence increased continuously during the study period, with an APC of 1.4%(95% CI, 0.9% to 1.9%). The incidence of squamous cell carcinoma decreased significantly in recent years among both sexes, with APCs of-2.6%(95% CI,-4.5% to-0.6%) from 2007 to 2016 for males and-5.4%(95%CI,-7.2% to-3.6%) from 2004 to 2016 for females. In contrast, the incidence of adenocarcinoma increased continuously throughout the study period, by APCs of 4.0%(95% CI, 2.6% to 5.4%) for males and 6.2%(95% CI,4.8% to 7.6%) for females. The incidence of small cell carcinoma peaked in 2007 and stabilized thereafter among males, whereas it peaked in 2012 and then decreased with an APC of-14.7%(95% CI,-25.3% to-2.6%) among females. The incidence of large cell carcinoma and other specified malignant neoplasm did not change much,whereas the incidence of unspecified type decreased among both sexes during the study period.Conclusions: Although the incidence of squamous cell carcinoma decreased significantly among both sexes in recent years in Beijing, China, adenocarcinoma increased continuously throughout the study period among both sexes. Knowledge of differences in trends is useful for surveillance and control of lung cancer. 9A remote sensing monitoring method for alpine grasslands desertification in the eastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Alpine grassland is the typical vegetation in the eastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau,which has important ecological service functions,and also supports the development of alpine stock farming.In recent years,under both the natural and human disturbance,alpine grasslands in this area have appeared to different degrees of desertification.A diagnosis of the desertification degree serves as the basis for grassland ecological restoration.This study constructs a comprehensive index based on remote sensing called alpine grassland desertification index(AGDI)to monitor the areas and degree of desertification.The most relevant indicators of desertification,namely,vegetation fraction,aboveground biomass,soil moisture,and land surface temperature,were selected to establish AGDI.The geographical detector is used to reselect and assess these indicators.The results show that the overall verification accuracy of AGDI is 82.05%.In particular,the accuracy of identifying severe desertification is the highest.Our study confirms that the desertification of alpine grasslands in the eastern Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau is characterized by fragmentation.Thus,Landsat-8 OLI data with a spatial resolution of 30 m is more suitable than MODIS data for alpine grasslands desertification monitoring.The research results can provide a methodological reference for monitoring desertification of alpine grasslands and other grassland regions in the world.KUANG Qian YUAN Quan-zhi HAN Ji-chong LENG Rong WANG Yu-shuang ZHU Ke-hong LIN Shuo REN Ping 2020Journal of Mountain Science2020,17,6:4
10Achievement of giant cryogenic refrigerant capacity in quinary rare-earths based high-entropy amorphous alloy显示文摘Magnetic refrigeration(MR)by utilizing the magnetocaloric(MC)effect is recognized as one of the most potential promising solid state environmentally friendly and high efficiency alternative method to the well-used state-of-the-art gas compression cooling technique.In this work,a systematic investigation of quinary equi-atomic rare-earths(RE)based Er_(20) Ho_(20) Gd_(20) Ni_(20) Co_(20) high-entropy(HE)amorphous alloy in terms of the microstructure,magnetic and magnetocaloric(MC)properties have been reported.The Er_(20) Ho_(20) Gd_(20) Ni_(20) Co_(20) exhibits promising glass forming ability with an undercooled liquid region of 72 K.Excellent cryogenic MC performances can be found in wide temperature from∼25 and∼75 K,close to H_(2) and N_(2) liquefaction,respectively.Apart from the largest magnetic entropy change(-S M)reaches 17.84 J/(kg K)with 0-7 T magnetic field change,corresponding refrigerant capacity(RC)attains a giant value of 1030 J/kg.The promising cryogenic MC performances together with the unique HE amorphous characterizations make the quinary Er_(20) Ho_(20) Gd_(20) Ni_(20) Co_(20) HE amorphous alloy attractive for cryogenic MR applications.Yikun Zhang Jian Zhu Shuo Li Jiang Wang Zhongming Ren 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,7:4

13Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 15Carrier recombination suppression and transport enhancement enable high-performance self-powered broadband Sb_(2)Se_(3) photodetectors显示文摘Antimony selenide(Sb_(2)Se_(3))is a promising candidate for photodetector applications boasting unique material benefits and remarkable optoelectronic properties.Achieving high-performance self-powered Sb_(2)Se_(3)photodetector through a synergistic regulation of absorber layer and heterojunction interface demonstrates great potential and needs essential investigation.In this study,an effective two-step thermodynamic/kinetic deposition technique containing sputtered and selenized Sb precursor is implemented to induce self-assembled growth of Sb_(2)Se_(3)light absorbing thin film with large crystal grains and desirable[hk1]orientation,presenting considerable thin-film photodetector performance.Furthermore,aluminum(Al^(3+))cation dopant is introduced to modify the optoelectronic properties of CdS buffer layer,and further optimize the Sb_(2)Se_(3)/CdS(Al)heterojunction interface quality.Thanks to the suppressed carrier recombination and enhanced carrier transport kinetics,the champion Mo/Sb_(2)Se_(3)/CdS(Al)/ITO/Ag photodetector exhibits self-powered and broadband characteristics,accompanied by simultaneously high responsivity of 0.9 A W^(-1)(at 11 nW cm^(-2)),linear dynamic range of 120 dB,impressive ON/OFF switching ratio over 10^(6)and signal-to-noise ratio of 10^(9),record total noise determined realistic detectivity of 4.78×10^(12)Jones,and ultra-fast response speed with rise/decay time of 24/75 ns,representing the top level for Sb_(2)Se_(3)-based photodetectors.This intriguing work opens up an avenue for its selfpowered broadband photodetector applications.Shuo Chen Yi Fu Muhammad Ishaq Chuanhao Li Donglou Ren Zhenghua Su Xvsheng Qiao Ping Fan Guangxing Liang Jiang Tang 2023InfoMat2023,5,4:1
16Therapeutic Efficacy Analysis of Balancing Yin-yang Manipulation for Post-stroke Upper Limb Spasticity显示文摘Objective: To observe the effect of balancing yin-yang needling manipulation on post-stroke upper limb spasticity and changes of electromyography(EMG) after treatment. Methods: A total of 60 eligible cases were randomly allocated into an observation group and a control group, 30 in each group. Based on routine medication, cases in the control group were treated with conventional needling manipulation, whereas cases in the observation group were treated with balancing yin-yang manipulation. After the courses of treatment were completed, the therapeutic efficacies were evaluated using modified Ashworth scale and clinical spasticity index(CSI), coupled with the integrated electromyography(IEMG) and root mean square(RMS) value of biceps in passive flexion of the elbow joint during isokinetic testing recorded with the surface EMG. Results: The total effective rate in the observation group was 86.7%, versus 53.3% in the control group, showing a statistical significance(P < 0.05). After treatment, there was between-group statistical significance in severity of elbow spasticity(P<0.05); there were intragroup(P<0.01, P<0.05) and inter-group(P<0.05) statistical significances in CSI index; and there were intra-group(P<0.01, P<0.05) and inter-group(P<0.01, P<0.05) statistical significances in IEMG and RMS values. The hot agarose solution is casted onto a template with patterned Ag nanowires, endowing agarose hydrogel with patterned conductive surface. After further heating treatment, Ag nanowires can be embedded into the agarose hydrogel, which improves the stability of Ag pattern and has no obvious e ffect on the conductivity of hydrogels.
