2Effective adsorption of sulfamethoxazole, bisphenol A and methyl orange on nanoporous carbon derived from metal-organic frameworks显示文摘Nanoporous carbons(NPCs) derived from metal–organic frameworks(MOFs) are attracting increasing attention in many areas by virtue of their high specific surface area, large pore volume and unique porosity. The present work reports the preparation of an NPC with high surface area(1731 m^2/g) and pore volume(1.68 cm^3/g) by direct carbonization of MOF-5. We examined the adsorption of three typical contaminants from aqueous solutions, i.e., sulfamethoxazole(SMX),bisphenol A(BPA) and methyl orange(MO), by using the as-prepared NPC. The results demonstrated that NPC could adsorb the contaminants effectively, with adsorption capacity(qm) of 625 mg/g(SMX), 757 mg/g(BPA) and 872 mg/g(MO), respectively. These values were approximately 1.0-3.2 times higher than those obtained for single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs) and commercial powder active carbon(PAC) under the same conditions. With its high surface area and unique meso/macropore structure, the enhanced adsorption of NPC most likely originates from the cooperative interaction of a pore-filling mechanism, electrostatic interaction,and hydrogen bonding. In particular, the p H value has a crucial impact on adsorption, suggesting the significant contribution of electrostatic interaction between NPC and the contaminants. 3PPC-based Reactive Hot Melt Polyurethane Adhesive(RHMPA)--Efficient Glues for Multiple Types of Substrates显示文摘Tens of billion metric tons of anthropogenic CO_2 discharged from the burning of fossil fuels lead to an enormous environmental and resource burden. It is charming to transform CO_2 to desirable, economical chemicals and materials. Poly(propylene carbonate)(PPC) is an emerging CO_2-based material. Herein, we report the design, synthesis and characterization of the reactive hot melt polyurethane adhesive(RHMPA) based on PPC polyol. The resultant RHMPAs exhibit good adhesion properties to multiple substrates including plastics(PC, PMMA, ABS) and metals(aluminium, steel), which is comparable to or even better than conventional RHMPAs prepared from petro-based polyol. Furthermore, the PPC-based RHMPAs have tunable mechanical properties, and are thermally stable in the typical working range of bonding process(up to 270 °C). 4A new species of the genus Crocidura from China based on molecular and morphological data(Eulipotyphla: Soricidae)显示文摘A new species of white-toothed shrew,Crocidura anhuiensis Zhang,Zhang&Li,sp.nov.is described from Mount Huang,China.Genetic sequence(mt DNA Cyt b gene)and morphological(external and skull)data are used to distinguish this newly discovered species.The phylogenetic analysis shows that the materials of this work are monophyletic and allied to C.attenuata by the uncorrected genetic distance 4.9–5.1%,which suggests a species-level divergence.Morphologically,the materials are different from C.attenuata by presenting a greater proportion of tail-to-body ratio and the presence of an obvious tooth root in the mandible.Based on those data,the unnamed species is described as a new species which is currently known only from the Wild Monkey Valley,Mount Huang,Anhui Province,China.Heng Zhang Guiyou Wu Yanqing Wu Jianfei Yao Shuo You Chencheng Wang Feng Cheng Jingjing Chen Mingxia Tang Chunlin Li Baowei Zhang 2019Zoological Systematics2019,44,4:5

6Octupole corner state in a three-dimensional topological circuit显示文摘Higher-order topological insulators(HOTIs)represent a new family of topological materials featuring quantized bulk polarizations and zero-dimensional corner states.In recent years,zero-dimensional corner states have been demonstrated in two-dimensional systems in the form of quadrupole modes or dipole modes.Due to the challenges in designing and constructing three-dimensional systems,octupole corner modes in 3D have not been observed.In this work,we experimentally investigate octupole topological phases in a three-dimensional electrical circuit,which can be viewed as a cubic lattice version of the Hofstadter model with aπ-flux threading each plaquette.We experimentally observe in our higher-order topological circuit a 0D corner state manifested as a localized impedance peak.The observed corner state in the electrical circuit is induced by the octupole moment of the bulk circuit and is topologically protected by anticommuting spatial symmetries of the circuit lattice.Our work provides a platform for investigating higher-order topological effects in three-dimensional electrical circuits.Shuo Liu Shaojie Ma Qian Zhang Lei Zhang Cheng Yang Oubo You Wenlong Gao Yuanjiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
7Non-Hermitian Skin Effect in a Non-Hermitian Electrical Circuit显示文摘The conventional bulk-boundary correspondence directly connects the number of topological edge states in a finite system with the topological invariant in the bulk band structure with periodic boundary condition(PBC).However,recent studies show that this principle fails in certain non-Hermitian systems with broken reciprocity,which stems from the non-Hermitian skin effect(NHSE)in the finite system where most of the eigenstates decay exponentially from the system boundary.In this work,we experimentally demonstrate a 1D non-Hermitian topological circuit with broken reciprocity by utilizing the unidirectional coupling feature of the voltage follower module.The topological edge state is observed at the boundary of an open circuit through an impedance spectra measurement between adjacent circuit nodes.We confirm the inapplicability of the conventional bulk-boundary correspondence by comparing the circuit Laplacian between the periodic boundary condition(PBC)and open boundary condition(OBC).Instead,a recently proposed non-Bloch bulk-boundary condition based on a non-Bloch winding number faithfully predicts the number of topological edge states.Shuo Liu Ruiwen Shao Shaojie Ma Lei Zhang Oubo You Haotian Wu Yuan Jiang Xiang Tie Jun Cui Shuang Zhang 2021Research2021,,1:2

9Electromagnetic Metamaterials:From Classical to Quantum显示文摘Electromagnetic(EM)metamaterials are artificially engineered materials with extraordinary EM properties beyond the limit of existing nat-ural materials;thus,they have been widely used to manipulate the amplitude,phase,polarization,frequency,wave vector,waveform,and other degrees of freedom of EM waves in many practical applications.In this review,we will summarize recent advances in this flourishing field of EM metamateri-als,first from the perspectives of the classical regime and then the quantum regime.More specifically,in the classical regime,traditional EM metamate-rials are based on effective medium theory,and they have limitations of fixed functionalities and an inability to control EM waves in real time.To over-come these restrictions,information metamaterials,including digital coding and field-programmable metamaterials,have recently been proposed to en-able real-time manipulation of EM waves based on the theory of information science.By taking advantage of information metamaterials and artificial in-telligence,another crucial milestone of intelligent metamaterials has been achieved in the development of classical metamaterials.After overviewing EM metamaterials in the classical regime,we discuss cutting-edge studies of EM metamaterials in the quantum regime,namely,topological metamaterials and quantum metamaterials.These nonclassical metamaterials show excellent ability to flexibly manipulate the quantum states,and they extend the clas-sical information metamaterials into the field of quantum information science.At the end of this review,we will give some conclusions and perspectives on this fast-evolving field.Jianwei You Qian Ma Lei Zhang Che Liu Jianan Zhang Shuo Liu Tiejun Cui 2023Electromagnetic Science2023,1,1:1

11A topological polymer network with Cu(Ⅱ)-coordinated reversible imidazole-urea locked unit constructs an ultra-strong self-healing elastomer显示文摘It is exceedingly desired, but difficult to construct self-healing materials with both excellent mechanical properties and healing efficiency, which are usually realized by using mutually exclusive methods. Here, we reconcile this contradiction by utilizing copper-bis-(imidazole-2-yl)-methane-urea(Cu-BIMU) locked units based on novel designed dynamic imidazole-urea bonds with coupled multiple noncovalent bonds(coordination bonds, π-π stacking bonds, and hydrogen bonds). The coordination of Cu(II) greatly reduces the electron-cloud density of imidazole, which lowers the free energy barrier of imidazole-urea bonds and promotes their reversible dissociation, as demonstrated by the density functional theory and small-molecule model reaction. The topological design of Cu-BIMU polyurethane(Cu-BIMU-PU), which concentrates multiple crosslinking-in-one locked unit to avoid the formation of excessive crosslinking sites to ensure high chain mobility, facilitates self-healing. Accumulative extensive intermolecular interactions endowed excellent mechanical properties to the resulting Cu-BIMU-PU elastomer with a tensile strength of 65.3 MPa, among the highest ever-reported value. 14GSDMD in peripheral myeloid cells regulates microglial immune training and neuroinflammation in Parkinson's disease显示文摘Peripheral bacterial infections without impaired blood brain barrier integrity have been attributed to the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease(PD).Peripheral infection promotes innate immune training in microglia and exacerbates neuroinflammation.However,how changes in the peripheral environment mediate microglial training and exacerbation of infection-related PD is unknown.In this study,we demonstrate that GSDMD activation was enhanced in the spleen but not in the CNS of mice primed with low-dose LPS.GSDMD in peripheral myeloid cells promoted microglial immune training,thus exacerbating neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration during PD in an IL-1R-dependent manner.Furthermore,pharmacological inhibition of GSDMD alleviated the symptoms of PD in experimental PD models.Collectively,these findings demonstrate that GSDMD-induced pyroptosis in myeloid cells initiates neuroinflammation by regulating microglial training during infection-related PD.Based on these findings,GSDMD may serve as a therapeutic target for patients with PD.Bingwei Wang Yan Ma Sheng Li Hang Yao Mingna Gu Ying Liu You Xue Jianhua Ding Chunmei Ma Shuo Yang Gang Hu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,6:0
15Nanomedicine in the application of uveal melanoma显示文摘Rapid advances in nanomedicine have significantly changed many aspects of nanoparticle application to the eye including areas of diagnosis, imaging and more importantly drug delivery. The nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems has provided a solution to various drug solubility-related problems in ophthalmology treatment.Nanostructured compounds could be used to achieve local ocular delivery with minimal unwanted systematic side effects produced by taking advantage of the phagocyte system. In addition, the in vivo control release by nanomaterials encapsulated drugs provides prolong exposure of the compound in the body. Furthermore,certain nanoparticles can overcome important body barriers including the blood-retinal barrier as well as the corneal-retinal barrier of the eye for effective delivery of the drug. 17Applying Hybrid Clustering in Pulsar Candidate Sifting with Multi-modality for FAST Survey显示文摘Pulsar search is always the basis of pulsar navigation,gravitational wave detection and other research topics.Currently,the volume of pulsar candidates collected by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)shows an explosive growth rate that has brought challenges for its pulsar candidate filtering system.Particularly,the multi-view heterogeneous data and class imbalance between true pulsars and non-pulsar candidates have negative effects on traditional single-modal supervised classification methods.In this study,a multi-modal and semi-supervised learning based on a pulsar candidate sifting algorithm is presented,which adopts a hybrid ensemble clustering scheme of density-based and partition-based methods combined with a feature-level fusion strategy for input data and a data partition strategy for parallelization.Experiments on both High Time Resolution Universe SurveyⅡ(HTRU2)and actual FAST observation data demonstrate that the proposed algorithm could excellently identify pulsars:On HTRU2,the precision and recall rates of its parallel mode reach0.981 and 0.988 respectively.On FAST data,those of its parallel mode reach 0.891 and 0.961,meanwhile,the running time also significantly decreases with the increment of parallel nodes within limits.Thus,we can conclude that our algorithm could be a feasible idea for large scale pulsar candidate sifting for FAST drift scan observation.Zi-Yi You Yun-Rong Pan Zhi Ma Li Zhang Shuo Xiao Dan-Dan Zhang Shi-Jun Dang Ru-Shuang Zhao Pei Wang Ai-Jun Dong Jia-Tao Jiang Ji-Bing Leng Wei-An Li Si-Yao Li 2024Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2024,24,3:0
18Fibroblast growth factor 21: An emerging pleiotropic regulator of lipid metabolism and the metabolic network显示文摘Fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21)was originally identified as an important meta-bolic regulator which plays a crucial physiological role in regulating a variety of metabolic pa-rameters through the metabolic network.As a novel multifunctional endocrine growth factor,the role of FGF21 in the metabolic network warrants extensive exploration.This insight was obtained from the observation that the FGF21-dependent mechanism that regulates lipid metabolism,glycogen transformation,and biological effectiveness occurs through the coordi-nated participation of the liver,adipose tissue,central nervous system,and sympathetic nerves.This review focuses on the role of FGF21-uncoupling protein 1(UCP1)signaling in lipid metabolism and how FGF21 alleviates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Additionally,this review reveals the mechanism by which FGF21 governs glucolipid metabolism.Recent research on the role of FGF21 in the metabolic network has mostly focused on the crucial pathway of glucolipid metabolism.FGF21 has been shown to have multiple regulatory roles in the metabolic network.Since an adequate understanding of the concrete regulatory path-ways of FGF21 in the metabolic network has not been attained,this review sheds new light on the metabolic mechanisms of FGF21,explores how FGF21 engages different tissues and organs,and lays a theoretical foundation for future in-depth research on FGF21-targeted treatment of metabolic diseases.Shuo Li Tiande Zou Jun Chen Jiaming Li Jinming You 2024Genes & Diseases2024,11,3:0
19Results of 23 yr of Pulsar Timing of PSR J1453-6413显示文摘In this paper,we presented the 23.3 yr of pulsar timing results of PSR J1456-6413 based on the observations of Parkes 64 m radio telescope.We detected two new glitches at MJD 57093(3)and 59060(12)and confirmed its first glitch at MJD 54554(10).The relative sizes(Δν/ν)of these two new glitches are 0.9×10^(-9)and 1.16×10^(-9),respectively.Using the“Cholesky”timing analysis method,we have determined its position,proper motion,and two-dimensional transverse velocities from the data segments before and after the second glitch,respectively.Furthermore,we detected exponential recovery behavior after the first glitch,with a recovery timescale of approximately 200 days and a corresponding exponential recovery factor Q of approximately 0.15(2),while no exponential recovery was detected for the other two glitches.More interestingly,we found that the leading component of the integral pulse profile after the second glitch became stronger,while the main component became weaker.Our results will expand the sample of pulsars with magnetosphere fluctuation triggered by the glitch event.Wei Li Shi-Jun Dang Jian-Ping Yuan Lin Li Wei-Hua Wang Lun-Hua Shang Na Wang Qing-Ying Li Ji-Guang Lu Fei-Fei Kou Shuang-Qiang Wang Shuo Xiao Qi-Jun Zhi Yu-Lan Liu Ru-Shuang Zhao Ai-Jun Dong Bin Zhang Zi-Yi You Yan-Qing Cai Ya-Qin Yang Ying-Ying Ren Yu-Jia Liu Heng Xu 2023Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,10:0
