1Programmable time-domain digital-coding metasurface for non-linear harmonic manipulation and new wireless communication systems显示文摘Optical non-linear phenomena are typically observed in natural materials interacting with light at high intensities, and they benefit a diverse range of applications from communication to sensing. However,controlling harmonic conversion with high efficiency and flexibility remains a major issue in modern optical and radio-frequency systems. Here, we introduce a dynamic time-domain digital-coding metasurface that enables efficient manipulation of spectral harmonic distribution. By dynamically modulating the local phase of the surface reflectivity, we achieve accurate control of different harmonics in a highly programmable and dynamic fashion, enabling unusual responses, such as velocity illusion. As a relevant application, we propose and realize a novel architecture for wireless communication systems based on the time-domain digital-coding metasurface, which largely simplifies the architecture of modern communication systems, at the same time yielding excellent performance for real-time signal transmission. 2Broadband diffusion of terahertz waves by multi-bit coding metasurfaces显示文摘The terahertz region is a special region of the electromagnetic spectrum that incorporates the advantages of both microwaves and infrared light waves.In the past decade,metamaterials with effective medium parameters or gradient phases have been studied to control terahertz waves and realize functional devices.Here,we present a new approach to manipulate terahertz waves by using coding metasurfaces that are composed of digital coding elements.We propose a general coding unit based on a Minkowski closed-loop particle that is capable of generating 1-bit coding(with two phase states of 0 and 180°),2-bit coding(with four phase states of 0,90°,180°,and 270°),and multi-bit coding elements in the terahertz frequencies by using different geometric scales.We show that multi-bit coding metasurfaces have strong abilities to control terahertz waves by designing-specific coding sequences.As an application,we demonstrate a new scattering strategy of terahertz waves—broadband and wide-angle diffusion—using a 2-bit coding metasurface with a special coding design and verify it by both numerical simulations and experiments.The presented method opens a new route to reducing the scattering of terahertz waves.Li-Hua Gao Qiang Cheng Jing Yang Shao-Jie Ma Jie Zhao Shuo Liu Hai-Bing Chen Qiong He Wei-Xiang Jiang Hui-Feng Ma Qi-Ye Wen Lan-Ju Liang Biao-Bing Jin Wei-Wei Liu Lei Zhou Jian-Quan Yao Pei-Heng Wu Tie-Jun Cui 2015Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1:31
3Geological Characteristics and Ore-forming Time of the Dexing Porphyry Copper Ore Mine in Jiangxi Province显示文摘The Dexing porphyry copper ore mine is located in the Qin-Hang metallogenic belt between the Yangtze block and the Cathaysia block. It is a giant porphyry copper mine in China, including 3 ore districts: Tongchang, Fujiawu and Zhushahong. Our analyses of Re in molybdenite indicate that the ore-forming material of the copper ore deposits in Dexing should be mainly mantle-derived. Our study fills in a gap in the study of formation time of the Dexing copper mine, and further proves that the copper ore deposits in the three ore districts should be formed simultaneously, about 170 Ma, belonging to the early Yanshan period, and that the formation time of the copper ore deposits should be consistent with the formation time of granodiorite porphyry in which the copper ore deposits are hosted. 5Geochronology and Geochemistry of Middle–Late Ordovician Granites and Gabbros in the Erguna Region,NE China:Implications for the Tectonic Evolution of the Erguna Massif显示文摘Zircon U-Pb ages, Hf isotope data and whole-rock major and trace element data for the Middle to Late Ordovician gabbros and granites in the Erguna Massif, NE China were presented in this paper. The petrogenesis of these rocks and the Early Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the massif were discussed. Zircons from the granites and gabbros are of magmatic origin based on their cathodoluminescence(CL) images. The 206Pb/238 U ages obtained from 20 spots on zircons from the granites range from 446±9 to 464±10 Ma, yielding a weighted mean age of 455±10 Ma; and 16 spots on zircons from the gabbros range from 465±10 to 466±7 Ma, yielding a weighted mean age of 465±2 Ma. Chemically, the Late Ordovician granites in the Erguna Massif are weakly peraluminous and similar to A-type granites. The granites and gabbros are all enriched in light rare earth elements and large ion lithophile elements(e.g., Rb, K), and depleted in heavy rare earth elements and high field strength elements(e.g., Nb, Ta, and Ti); they all exhibit marked negative Eu anomalies. Their zircon εHf(t) values range mainly from +1.86 to +6.21(for the granites) and +1.39 to +3.89(for the gabbros), except for one spot with a value of-0.27(for a gabbro). The TDM1 ages for the gabbros and TDM2 ages for the granites vary from 928 to 1 091 Ma and from 1 287 to 1 675 Ma, respectively. It is concluded that the primary magma of the granites could have been derived by partial melting of Mesoproterozoic newly accreted crustal material, whereas the primary magma of the gabbros originated by partial melting of a depleted mantle wedge that had been metasomatized by fluids derived from a subducted slab. 6Development of real-time laser-scanning system to detect tree canopy characteristics for variable-rate pesticide application显示文摘Improving pesticide application efficiency is increasingly important in orchard spraying.In this study,a laser-scanning system was designed to acquire gridding volumes of a tree to quantify the geometry characteristics of the tree canopy in real-time.A laser-scanning sensor mounted on a linear guide was utilized to measure the structure of a target tree canopy.A computer was used to receive measurement data from the laser scanner and obtain the movement distance of the laser-scanning sensor from a controller.An algorithm written with VC#program was designed to calculate gridding volumes of trees by recognizing valid measurement data from the laser scanner.Laboratory evaluations were conducted on three kinds of regular objects,and the maximum relative errors of section volumes of the cuboid,triangular prism and cylinder objects were 3.3%,7.9%and 9.4%,respectively,which illustrated that the algorithm could calculate the section volumes in different parts of the objects with high accuracy.A conifer tree and an apple tree were chosen to verify detecting accuracy of the laser-scanning system at variable speeds and grid sizes.The variation coefficients of total volumes for each kind of the tree were 0.078 and 0.041,respectively,which indicated that the laser-scanning system could be applied to provide the gridding volumes of different canopy densities in real-time with good reliability for guiding a variable-rate sprayer.Cai Jichen Wang Xiu Song Jian Wang Songlin Yang Shuo Zhao Chunjiang 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6:14

8Micro RNA-1290 promotes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cell proliferation and metastasis显示文摘AIM:To investigate the biological role of mi R-1290 in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) progression and invasion and the underlying mechanism.METHODS:Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR) was performed to evaluate mi R-1290 expression in ESCC tissue samples.The roles of mi R-1290 in cell proliferation,migration and invasion were identified using mi R-1290 mimic-transfected cells.In addition,the regulatory effect of mi R-1290 on suppressor of cancer cell invasion(SCAI) was evaluated using q RT-PCR,Western blot analysis and a dual luciferase reporter assay.RESULTS:mi R-1290 was significantly upregulated in ESCC tissue samples compared with normal adjacent tissues(9.213 ± 1.150 vs 1.000 ± 0.0),(P < 0.01).Upregulation of mi R-1290 was associated with tumor differentiation(P = 0.021),N classification(P = 0.006) and tumor-node-metastasis stage(P = 0.021) in ESCC patients.Moreover,ectopic mi R-1290 expression potently promoted ESCC cell growth(P < 0.01),migration(P < 0.01) and invasion(P < 0.01) in vitro.mi R-1290 overexpression in ESCC cell lines decreased SCAI expression at the translational level and reduced SCAI-driven luciferase-reporter activity(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:Our findings suggested that mi R-1290 may play an oncogenic role in cellular processes of ESCC.Ming Li Xiao-Yan He Zhi-Mei Zhang Shuo Li Li-Hua Ren Ri-Sheng Cao Ya-Dong Feng Yin-Lin Ji Ye Zhao Rui-Hua Shi 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,11:13
9Recent advances on porous organic frameworks for the adsorptive removal of hazardous materials显示文摘Environmental pollution is one of the most serious problems facing mankind today,and has attracted widespread attention worldwide. The burgeoning class of crystalline porous organic framework materials, metal–organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks present promising application potential in areas related to pollution control due to their interesting surface properties. In this review, the literature of the past five years on the adsorptive removal of various hazardous materials, mainly including heavy metal ions, harmful gases, organic dyes, pharmaceutical and personal care products, and radionuclides from the environment by using COFs and MOFs, is summarized. The adsorption mechanisms are also discussed to help understand their adsorption performance and selectivity. 11Enhancement Expression of bFGF in Chinese Patients with Moyamoya Disease显示文摘Objective To detect the content of the basic fibroblast growth factor in blood samples of patients with Moyamoya disease, and investigate the relationship between Moyamoya disease and the basic fibroblast growth factor. Methods This tissue microarray study included 24 cases of superficial temporal artery samples, 15 cases of Moyamoya disease, and 9 cases of normal arteries as control, and bFGF immunofluorescence assay was applied to test the samples. The number of positive cells and total cells of the muscular layer and the endothelium layer were counted separately in every picture, the positive rates were calculated, and the experimental data were analyzed statistically. Results The bFGF immunofluorescence staining of smooth muscular layer cells, intima cells and endothelial cells from the moyamoya disease group were obviously stronger than that from the control group (P<0.01). 12Genome Characteristics and Evolution of Pseudorabies Virus Strains in Eastern China from 2017 to 2019显示文摘Since late 2011,outbreaks of pseudorabies virus(PRV)have occurred in southern China causing major economic losses to the pig industry.We previously reported that variant PRV forms and recombination in China could be the source of continued epidemics.Here,we analyzed samples from intensive pig farms in eastern China between 2017 and 2019,and sequenced the main glycoproteins(gB,gC,gD,and gE)to study the evolution characteristics of PRV.Based on the gC gene,we found that PRV variants belong to clade 2 and detected a founder effect during by the PRV epidemic.In addition,we detected inter-and intra-clade recombination;in particular,inter-clade recombination in the gB genes of strains FJ-ZXF and FJ-W2,which were recombinant with clade 1 strains.We also found specific amino-acid changes and positively selected sites,possibly associated with functional changes.This analysis of the emergence of PRV in China illustrates the need for continuous monitoring and the development of vaccines against specific variants of PRV.Xiaofeng Zhai Wen Zhao Kemang Li Cheng Zhang Congcong Wang Shuo Su Jiyong Zhou Jing Lei Gang Xing Haifeng Sun Zhiyu Shi Jinyan Gu 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,6:12
13Impact of dissolved organic matter on the photolysis of the ionizable antibiotic norfloxacin显示文摘Norfloxacin(NOR), an ionizable antibiotic frequently used in the aquaculture industry, has aroused public concern due to its persistence, bacterial resistance, and environmental ubiquity.Therefore, we investigated the photolysis of different species of NOR and the impact of a ubiquitous component of natural water — dissolved organic matter(DOM), which has a special photochemical activity and normally acts as a sensitizer or inhibiter in the photolysis of diverse organics; furthermore, scavenging experiments combined with electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR) were performed to evaluate the transformation of NOR in water. The results demonstated that NOR underwent direct photolysis and self-sensitized photolysis via hydroxyl radical(U OH) and singlet oxygen(1O2) based on the scavenging experiments. In addition, DOM was found to influence the photolysis of different NOR species, and its impact was related to the concentration of DOM and type of NOR species. Photolysis of cationic NOR was photosensitized by DOM at low concentration, while zwitterionic and anionic NOR were photoinhibited by DOM, where quenching of U OH predominated according to EPR experiments, accompanied by possible participation of excited triplet-state NOR and1O2. Photo-intermediate identification of different NOR species in solutions with/without DOM indicated that NOR underwent different photodegradation pathways including dechlorination, cleavage of the piperazine side chain and photooxidation, and DOM had little impact on the distribution but influenced the concentration evolution of photolysis intermediates. 15Deep neural network-assisted computed tomography diagnosis of metastatic lymph nodes from gastric cancer显示文摘Background:Artificial intelligence-assisted image recognition technology is currently able to detect the target area of an image and fetch information to make classifications according to target features.This study aimed to use deep neural netAVorks for computed tomography(CT)diagnosis of perigastric metastatic lymph nodes(PGMLNs)to simulate the recognition of lymph nodes by radiologists,and to acquire more accurate identification results.Methods:A total of 1371 images of suspected lymph node metastasis from enhanced abdominal CT scans were identified and labeled by radiologists and were used with 18,780 original images for faster region-based convolutional neural networks(FR-CNN)deep learning.The identification results of 6000 random CT images from 100 gastric cancer patients by the FR-CNN were compared with results obtained from radiologists in terms of their identification accuracy.Similarly,1004 CT images with metastatic lymph nodes that had been post-operatively confirmed by pathological examination and 11,340 original images were used in the identification and learning processes described above.The same 6000 gastric cancer CT images were used for the verification,according to which the diagnosis results were analyzed.Results:In the initial group,precision-recall curves were generated based on the precision rates,the recall rates of nodule classes of the training set and the validation set;the mean average precision(mAP)value was 0.5019.To verify the results of the initial learning group,the receiver operating characteristic curves was generated,and the corresponding area under the curve(AUC)value was calculated as 0.8995.After the second phase of precise learning,all the indicators were improved,and the mAP and AUC values were 0.7801 and 0.9541,respectively.Conclusion:Through deep learning,FR-CNN achieved high judgment effectiveness and recognition accuracy for CT diagnosis of PGMLNs.Yuan Gao Zheng-Dong Zhang Shuo Li Yu-Ting Guo Qing-Yao Wu Shu-Hao Liu Shu-Jian Yang Lei Ding Bao-Chun Zhao Shuai Li Yun Lu 2019Chinese Medical Journal2019,,23:11
16Effect of Chinese Medicine on No or Slow Reflow after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Myocardial Infarction Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis显示文摘Objective:To systematic review the effect of Chinese medicine(CM)on no or slow reflow after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)in myocardial infarction(MI)patients.Methods:The Pub Med,EMBASE databases,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(CENTRAL),Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Chinese BioMedical Literature Database(CBM),Wanfang Knowledge Service Platform(Wanfang Database)and Chinese Scientific Journal Database(VIP)were searched up to December 2017.Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)which evaluated the effect of CM therapies on no or slow reflow after PCI in MI patients were included.The primary outcome was the effect of reperfusion.Secondary outcomes were left ventricular ejection fraction,incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events and adverse effect.Results:Ten RCTs covering 814 patients were included.Two studies revealed that the incidence of no or slow reflow was less in Shenmai Injection(参麦注射液)group than in the control group measured by thrombolysis in myocardial infarction(TIMI)2(risk ratio=0.55,95%confidence interval 0.38 to 0.81,P=0.003,I^2=37%).Two studies indicated that Salvianolate Injection showed no additional benefit on no or slow reflow measured by corrected TIMI frame count compared with the conventional treatment(mean difference–4.24,95% confidence interval–13.03 to 4.54,P=0.34,I^2=86%).In addition,Tongxinluo Capsules(通心络胶囊),Danhong Injection(丹红注射液)and Xuesaitong Injection(血塞通注射液)may have the potential to reduce no or slow reflow measured during or after PCI in individual studies.Conclusions:Current evidence from RCTs are not sufficient to evaluate the effect of CM adjuvant therapies on no or slow reflow after PCI for MI patients.The included studies are limited by small sample size and unclear baseline conditions.Further rigorously designed researches and verification studies with sufficient number of patients are warranted.ZHANG Xiao-yu SUN Yang YANG Xin-yu HU Jia-yuan ZHENG Rui CHEN Shi-qi LI Min LI Cheng-yu JIANG Yin LIU Shuo ZHAO Chen XING Yan-wei SHANG Hong-cai 2020Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,26,3:11
17Personalized treatment based on mini patient-derived xenografts and WES/RNA sequencing in a patient with metastatic duodenal adenocarcinoma显示文摘Background:Treatment guidelines for a variety of cancers have been increasingly used in clinical practice,and have resulted in major improvement in patient outcomes.However,recommended regimens(even first-line treat-ments)are clearly not ideal for every patients.In the present study,we used mini patient-derived xenograft(mini-PDX)and next-generation sequencing to develop personalized treatment in a patient with metastatic duodenal adenocarcinoma.Methods:Resected metachronous metastatic tumor tissues were implanted into SCID mice to determine the sensitivity to a variety of drug regimens.Mutation profiles were assessed using both DNA whole-exome sequencing(DNA-WES)and RNA sequencing.The results of the analyses were used to select optimal treatment for the patient with metastatic duodenal adenocarcinoma.Results:Assessment with mini-PDX models took only 7 days.The results showed high sensitivity to S-1 plus cis-platin,gemcitabine plus cisplatin and everolimus alone.The patient received gemcitabine plus cisplatin initially,but the treatment was terminated due to toxicity.The patient was then switched to treatment with S-1 alone.The overall disease-free survival was 34 months.DNA-WES and RNA sequencing identified KRAS mutation(A146T),TP53(C229Yfs*10)and RICTOR amplification in the metastatic duodenal adenocarcinoma.These findings provided further support to the results of the mini-PDX,and suggest mTOR inhibitors should be used if and when relapse eventually occurs in this patient.Conclusions:Mini-PDX model combined with WES/RNA sequencing can rapidly assess drug sensitivity in cancer patients and reveal key genetic alterations.Further research on this technology for personalized therapy in patients with refractory malignant tumors is warranted.Peng Zhao Hui Chen Danyi Wen Shuo Mou Feifei Zhang Shusen Zheng 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:11
18Outcomes in refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma:results fromamulticenter real-world study in China显示文摘Background:Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients refractory to rituximab-based immunochemotherapy have a dismal prognosis.However,the definition of refractory DLBCL remains inconsistent and no large cohort study data is available from Asian countries.To validate the definition and outcomes of refractory DLBCL in China,we conducted a multicenter,retrospective cohort study.Methods:The REtrospective AnaLysis of Treatment REspoNse of refractory DLBCL(REAL-TREND)study was performed using real-world data from 8 centers in China.DLBCL patients with curative intent were included in the REAL-TREND dataset.Overall survival(OS)was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by the log-rank test.Due to heterogeneity in response rates among different centers,the response rates of refractory patients were pooled using random-effect models.Multivariate survival analysis was performed using the Cox regression model.Results:A total of 2778 DLBCL patients diagnosed between January,2010 and December,2015 were enrolled to this study.After validating previous definitions,the SCHOLAR-1 study was most suitable to define refractory DLBCL.The estimated 5-year cumulative incidence of refractory patients was 20%(95% confidence Interval[CI]=18%-22%).After the determination of refractory disease,overall response rate and complete remission rate were 30%(95%CI=22%-38%)and 9%(95%CI=4%-15%),respectively.Patients with either no response to immunochemotherapy or relapse within 12 months after stem-cell transplantation had inferior survival with a median OS of 5.9 months(95%CI=5.5-7.1 months)and 2-year OS rate of 16%(95%CI=12%-20%).International prognostic index score 4-5(hazard ratio[HR]=2.22;95%CI=1.47-3.35),central nervous systemrelapse(HR=1.43;95%CI=1.04-1.97),and best response status(HR=2.68;95%CI=1.42-5.03 for partial remission.HR=5.97,95%CI=3.21-11.11 for stable disease/progressive disease)were independent unfavorable prognostic factors.Conclusions:This is the first large-scale Asian cohort study focusing on outcomes of refractory DLBCL.The definition of the SCHOLAR-1 study identifies patients with homogenously inferior survival,thus is appropriate to select refractory DLBCL.Due to poor clinical outcomes in the rituximab era,patients with refractory DLBCL may be potential candidates for novel treatment modalities.Shuo Wang Li Wang Jianda Hu Wenbin Qian Xi Zhang Yu Hu Qi Zhu Bobin Chen Depei Wu Chung-Chou H.Chang Pengpeng Xu Xiaoyun Zheng Juying Wei Yao Liu Guohui Cui Yong Tang Yan Ma Haiwen Huang Hongmei Yi Weili Zhao 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,3:10
19Crustal accretion and reworking processes of micro-continental massifs within orogenic belt:A case study of the Erguna Massif,NE China显示文摘This paper summarizes the geochronological, geochemical and zircon Hf isotopic data for Mesozoic granitoids within the Erguna Massif, NE China, and discusses the spatial-temporal variation of zircon Hf isotopic compositions, with the aim of constraining the accretion and reworking processes of continental crust within the Erguna Massif, and shedding light on the crustal evolution of the eastern segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt. Based on the zircon U-Pb dating results, the Mesozoic granitic magmatisms within the Erguna Massif can be subdivided into five stages: Early-Middle Triassic(249–237 Ma), Late Triassic(229–201 Ma), Early-Middle Jurassic(199–171 Ma), Late Jurassic(155–149 Ma), and Early Cretaceous(145–125 Ma).The Triassic to Early-Middle Jurassic granitoids are mainly I-type granites and minor adakitic rocks, whereas the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous granitoids are mainly A-type granites. This change in magmatism is consistent with the southward subduction of the Mongol-Okhotsk oceanic plate and subsequent collision and crustal thickening, followed by post-collision extension. Zircon Hf isotopic data indicate that crustal accretion of the Erguna Massif occurred in the Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic. ZirconεHf(t) values increase gradually over time, whereas two-stage model(TDM2) ages decrease throughout the Mesozoic. The latter result indicates a change in the source of granitic magmas from the melting of ancient crust to more juvenile crust. Zircon εHf(t)values also exhibit spatial variations, with values decreasing northwards, whereas TDM2 ages increase. This pattern suggests that,moving from south to north, there is an increasing component of ancient crustal material within the lower continental crust of the Erguna Massif. Even if at the same latitude, the zircon Hf isotopic compositions are also inconsistent.
