| 1 | A step metallogenetic model for gold deposits in the northwestern Shandong Peninsula, China显示文摘Based on our study of the nature and variation of mineralization-controlling faults in their deep extension and the spatial distribution of gold orebodies in the northwestern Shandong Peninsula (NSP), here we propose that the gold deposits in the Jiaojia gold belt are controlled by listric faults and the gold deposits in the NSP are controlled by extensional fault system. We also suggest that there is a multiple mineralization space in the deep part of the NSP gold belt. As steps or benches occur along the deep extention of the listric fault where its dipping angle changes from steep to gentle, a number of gold deposits are correspondingly distributed as a steplike pattern, which is named as a step metallogenetic model for gold deposits in the NSP. The gold deposits in Shandong Peninsula were formed in the Cretaceous when the crust in the region experienced extention and thinning following the strong collision between North China Plate and Yangtze Plate during the Triassic. | 3 | Stress evolution and support mechanism of a bolt anchored in a rock mass with a weak interlayer显示文摘By applying experimental method, the bolt stress and supporting mechanism is studied during the deformation process of a rock mass containing a weak interlayer. The force measuring bolt is installed manually and instrumented five pairs of symmetrical strain gauges. The experimental results show that the fully grouted bolt suffers tensile, compressive, bending and shear stress at the same time. The bolt stress evolution is closely related to the deformation stages of the rock mass which are very gradually varying stage, gradually varying stage at the pre-peak and suddenly varying stage at the post peak stage.The axial compressive stress in the bolt is mainly induced by the moment. Thus, in most cases the axial compressive stress is distributed on one side of the bolt. For axial stresses, induced by the axial force and the bending moment at the post-peak stage, three types of changing are observed, viz. increasingincreasing type, decreasing-increasing type and increasing-decreasing type. The stress characteristics of the bolt section in the weak interlayer are significantly different from those in the hard rock. The failure models of the anchored bolt are tensile failure and shear failure, respectively. The bolt not only provides constraints on the free surface of the rock mass, but also resists the axial and lateral loading by the bending moment. | 6 | Quantification of viable bacteria in wastewater treatment plants by using propidium monoazide combined with quantitative PCR(PMA-qPCR)显示文摘The detection of viable bacteria in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) is very important for public health, as WWTPs are a medium with a high potential for waterborne disease transmission. The aim of this study was to use propidium monoazide(PMA) combined with the quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PMA-qPCR) to selectively detect and quantify viable bacteria cells in full-scale WWTPs in China. PMA was added to the concentrated WWTP samples at a final concentration of 100 μmol/L and the samples were incubated in the dark for 5 min, and then lighted for 4 min prior to DNA extraction and qPCR with specific primers for Escherichia coli and Enterococci, respectively. The results showed that PMA treatment removed more than 99% of DNA from non-viable cells in all the WWTP samples, while matrices in sludge samples markedly reduced the effectiveness of PMA treatment. Compared to qPCR, PMA-qPCR results were similar and highly linearly correlated to those obtained by culture assay, indicating that DNA from non-viable cells present in WWTP samples can be eliminated by PMA treatment, and that PMA-qPCR is a reliable method for detection of viable bacteria in environmental samples. This study demonstrated that PMA-qPCR is a rapid and selective detection method for viable bacteria in WWTP samples, and that WWTPs have an obvious function in removing both viable and non-viable bacteria. The relation of energy conservation for plates with three different edge conditions (free, simply supported and built-in) is also derived. It is found that the present method satisfies the energy relation very well. The effects of draft on wave reflection and transmission coefficients as well as on the vertical vibration of the plates are examined through numerical tests. In order to suppress the noise caused by the off-diagonal elements in the characteristic matrix, we propose a reconstruction method for ghost imaging called scalar-matrix-structured ghost imaging(SMGI). The characteristic matrix is made to approximate a scalar matrix by modifying the measurement matrix. | 11 | Effects of water stress at different growth stages on comprehensive fruit quality and yield in different bunches of tomatoes in greenhouses显示文摘The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of tomato quality and yield between different bunches and the differences between the two comprehensive evaluation methods on tomato quality ranking under water stress.Two degrees of water stress including mild water stress(W1)and moderate water stress(W2),and three growth stages that water stress applied including seedling stage(S1),flowering stage(S2)and fruit expanding stage(S3)were tested in this study.The yield and quality of different bunches of tomatoes under water stress during different growth stages were determined as responses,and the comprehensive fruit quality ranking and yield of the second and third bunches were evaluated.The results showed that water stress was important for the improvement of fruit quality,but fruit yield decreased during water stress.The yield of the third tomato bunch decreased from 11.69%(W1S1)to 30.60%(W2S2)compared to control(97.57 t/hm^(2)),and the effects of mild water stress on fruit yield were minimal at the early growth stage.However,the fruit quality in terms of soluble sugar(SS),total soluble solids(TSS),vitamin C(VC),and firmness(F)improved under water stress compared to control.The combined effects of water stress and its application period significantly affected SS and TSS.Water stress significantly improved the content of SS and TSS in the later growth period compared to seedling and flowering stages.Meanwhile,there was a significant difference in tomato quality between the second and third bunches of fruit,especially in the content of SS,organic acid(OA)and lycopene(L).Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and Grey Relational Analysis(GRA)were used to evaluate comprehensive fruit quality,and the best treatment in terms of the fruit quality was W1S3 for both bunches.The rank-sum ratio(RSR)method was used to evaluate fruit quality and yield,the results showed that W1S3 ranked first based on PCA and W1S1 ranked first based on GRA.Water stress enhanced tomato quality but inevitably reduced its yield during each growth stage.The application of mild water stress during the fruit expanding stage(W1S3)was considered to be the best treatment to provide satisfactory fruit quality and yield based on RSR. | Shuxue Hao Hongxia Cao Hubing Wang Xiaoyan Pan | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,3: | 3 |

| 13 | Compressed Sensing: Optimized Overcomplete Dictionary for Underwater Acoustic Channel Estimation显示文摘Compressed Sensing (CS) offers a method to solve the channel estimation problems for an underwater acoustic system, based on the existence of a sparse representation of the treated signal and an overcomplete dictionary with a set of non-orthogonal bases. In this paper, we proposed a new approach to optimize dictionaries by decreasing the average measure of the mutual coherence of the effective dictionary. A fixed link between the average mutual coherence and the CS performance is indicated by designing three factors: operating bandwidth, the number of pilot subcarriers, and coherence bandwidth. Both the Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) and the Basis Pursuit De-Noising (BPDN) are compared to the Dantzig Selector (DS) for different Signal Noise Ratio (SNR) and shown to benefit from the newly designed dictionary. Numerical simulations and experimental data of an OFDM receiver are used to evaluate the proposed method in comparison with the conventional Least-Square (LS) estimator. | 19 | Rapid detection of Cyfra 21-1 by optical-biosensing based on chemiluminescence immunoassay using bio-functionlized magnetic nanocomposites显示文摘This letter reports a chemiluminescene immunoassay method combined with immunomagnetic separation to rapidly detect Cyfra 21-1, in which bio-functionlized magnetic nanocomposites were used as mobile substrate for capturing and isolating the cyfra 21-1 proteins. After the captured Cyfra 21-1 further reacted with horseradish peroxidase-conjugated anti-Cyfra 21-1 antibody to form a sandwich immunocomplex, the chemiluminescence would be produced as a result of addition of the chemiluminescent substrate. A home-made optical biosensor was designed to detect the chemiluminescence instead of other large instruments. There is a good linear response between the chemiluminescence intensity and the concentration of Cyfra 21-1 in the range from 0.2 to 50 ng/mL. The whole detection process including incubation, washing and detection could be performed within 45 min.
