| 1 | Role of triamcinolone in radiation enteritis management显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of triamcinolone in the management of acute and chronic enteritis caused by pelvic radiotherapy.METHODS:Twenty-eight patients with rectum adenocarcinoma or endometrium adenocarcinoma were studied.We compared the results of 14 patients treated with injected triamcinolone acetonide(TA)with those of 14 patients who were not treated with TA.For the TA group,40 mg of TA was injected intramuscularly on the 1st,11th and 21st d of radiotherapy;the control group received no injections.All of the study participants had a median age of 65 years,had undergone postoperative radiotherapy and were evaluated weekly using Radiation Therapy Oncology Group and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Acute Morbidity Score Criteria,and complete blood counts for every 10 d.RESULTS:Triamcinolone was found to effectively prevent and treat radiation-induced acute gastrointestinal(enteritis)and genitourinary(cystitis)side effects(P=0.022 and P=0.023).For the lower GI side effect follow up,11 patients in the control group had Grade 2toxicity and 3 patients had Grade 1 toxicity.In the TA group,5 patients had Grade 2 toxicity and 9 patients had Grade 1 toxicity.For the genitourinary system side effect follow up,4 patients had Grade 2 toxicity and 6patients had Grade 1 toxicity.Additionally,2 patients had Grade 2 toxicity and 2 patients had Grade 1 toxicity.The neutrophil counts did not differ between the TA group and the control group.There was no meaningful difference between age groups and primary cancers.At the 12th mo of follow up,there were no differences between groups for chronic side effects.CONCLUSION:Triamcinolone is a moderately potent steroid,that is inexpensive and has a good safety profile.It would be beneficial for reducing medical expenses related to treatment of radiation induced enteritis. | Eren Cetin Aysen Sevgi Ozturk Haluk Orhun Sukran Ulger | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，15： | 12 |

| 3 | Six high-intensity interval training sessions over 5 days increases maximal oxygen uptake,endurance capacity,and sub-maximal exercise fat oxidation as much as 6 high-intensity interval training sessions over 2 weeks显示文摘Background:High-intensity interval training(HIIT)induces similar or even superior adaptations compared to continuous endurance training.Indeed,just 6 HIIT sessions over 2 weeks significantly improves maximal oxygen uptake(VO_(2max)),submaximal exercise fat oxidation,and endurance performance.Whether even faster adaptations can be achieved with HIIT is not known.Thus,we aimed to determine whether 2 sessions of HIIT per day,separated by 3 h,every other day for 5 days(double HIIT(HIIT-D),n=15)could increase VO_(2max),submaximal exercise fat oxidation,and endurance capacity as effectively as 6 sessions of HIIT over 2 weeks(single HIIT(HIIT-S),n=13).Methods:Each training session consisted of 10×60 s of cycling at 100%of VO_(2max)interspersed with 75 s of low-intensity cycling at 60 watt(W).Pre-and post-training assessments included VO_(2max),time to exhaustion at-80%of VO_(2max),and 60-min cycling trials at-67%of VO_(2max).Results:Similar increases(p<0.05)in VO_(2max)(HIIT-D:7.7%vs.HIIT-S:6.0%,p>0.05)and endurance capacity(HIIT-D:80.1%vs.HIIT-S:79.2%,p>0.05)were observed.Submaximal exercise carbohydrate oxidation was reduced in the 2 groups after exercise training(HIIT-D:9.2%,p=0.014 vs.HIIT-S:18.8%,p=0.012)while submaximal exercise fat oxidation was significantly increased in HIIT-D(15.5%,p=0.048)but not in HIIT-S(9.3%,p=0.290).Conclusion:Six HIIT sessions over 5 days was as effective in increasing VO_(2max)and endurance capacity and was more effective in improving submaximal exercise fat oxidation than 6 HIIT sessions over 2 weeks. | Muhammed M.Atakan Yasemin Guzel Suleyman Bulut Sukran N.Kosar Glenn K.McConell Huseyin H.Turnagol | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021，10，4： | 1 |
