1Finite element simulation and experimental test of the wear behavior for self-lubricating spherical plain bearings显示文摘In this study, based on the classical Archard adhesion wear theory, a three-dimensional finite element model was established, with the aim of simulating the failure process of self-lubricating spherical plain bearings in the swinging wear condition. The results show that the self-lubricating spherical plain bearings go through two different stages during the wear process, namely, initial wear stage and stable wear stage. Because the large contact points wear out during the initial wear stage, the maximum contact pressure decreases as the test period increases. The relatively larger wear depth region shows elliptical distribution, and the maximum distribution appears in the central contact area. The wear depth reaches 0.974 mm after swinging 25,000 times. PTFE fibers, which possess a good friction performance but poor abrasion resistance, abundantly exist on the friction surfaces of the fabric liner. Consequently, the friction torque during the initial wear stage is slightly smaller than the friction torque during the stable wear stage; however, the wear rate during the initial wear stage is high. The reliability and effectiveness of the finite element model are verified by experiment. 2The abundance,characteristics and diversity of microplastics in the South China Sea:Observation around three remote islands显示文摘Surrounded by emerging markets with considerable plastic consumption,the South China Sea has been a focus area of microplastic research.A survey on the floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)and microplastics ingested by fish and mollusks was conducted around three remote islands here.Compared with the results from several previous studies,a high abundance of floating microplastics(with a median of 1.9×10^(5)items/km^(2) or 0.7 items/m^(3))was observed,revealing another“hot spot”for microplastics.Polyolefin,especially polypropylene,was the main component.The diversity index and evenness index were calculated and evaluated based on the composition of microplastics.The characteristic peaks of Raman spectra concerning pigmented microplastics were provided.Transparent sheets/films were predominant in the water sample,which was quite different from a similar study in this sea area(8.9%for film),and only 16.4%of floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)were fibers/lines,implying that the main sources of floating microplastics(>0.3 mm)might be household/agricultural consumption activities.The transparent fiber/line was also dominant in organisms.It is suggested that the main sources of microplastics ingested by organisms might be both fabric fibers and fishing/aquaculture.Hongzhe Chen Sumin Wang Huige Guo Yunlong Huo Hui Lin Yuanbiao Zhang 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,1:0
3Design Strategy for Vulcanization Accelerator of Diphenylguanidine/Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complex for Natural Rubber Latex Foam with Enhancing Performance显示文摘Vulcanization is an essential process to obtain high-performance rubber products.Diphenylguanidine(DPG)is often used as the secondary accelerator in the vulcanization process of natural rubber(NR)latex.However,DPG would make NR latex emulsion exhibit gelation,resulting in the negative vulcanization efficiency.In addition,exposure to DPG might lead to some physiological diseases during the production process of DPG doped NR latex.Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(HP-β-CD)with the hydrophobic interior and hydrophilic exterior has the advantages of good water solubility,high bioavailability,reliable stability,and low toxicity.In this study,the inclusion complex of diphenylguanidine-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(DPG-HP-β-CD)is prepared by bali milling with a host-guest molar ratio of 1:1,which has also been applied to the foaming process of NR latex.The mechanical properties of DPG-HP-β-CD inclusion complex/natural rubber latex foam(DPG-HP-β-CD/NRLF)have been significantly improved,including the tensile strength,elongation at break,hardness,compression set,resilience,and antiaging performance.Further,the usage of DPG has been reduced,leading to the reduction of toxicity and environmental hazards.Wang Zhang Liwei Lin Junqiang Guo Ming Wu Sumin Park Hang Yao Sun Ha Paek Guowang Diao Yuanzhe Piao 2023Research2023,,1:0
4Different sources of MSCs on pulmonary fibrosis in C57BL/6 mice显示文摘Since stem cell therapy is the most effective treatment in the field of tissue reparation and reconstitution,the present study aimed to explore the different sources of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)on the different effects of pulmonary fibrosis-related cytokines in C57BL/6 mice.For reaching this goal,we isolated MSCs from umbilical cord blood and placenta and used for stem cell therapy in a mouse model of pulmonary fibrosis model.The pulmonary fibrosis model was done by injecting bleomycin into the trachea of C57BL/6 mice.Then we assessed the degree of pulmonary fibrosis in each mouse lung tissue at weeks 1,2,3,and 4.In addition,flow cytometry was used to evaluate the frequency of CD73,CD90,CD106,CD34,CD45,CD14 cells at the mononuclear cell level;and western blotting assays revealed the expression of IκB-α.Our results showed that stem cell therapy by placenta-derived MSC had a lower level of CD34,CD45,CD14 cells at the mononuclear cell level,and that improved pulmonary fibrosis at both molecular and pathological levels.In addition,western blotting assays revealed that the expression of IκB-αwas down-regulated in MSC-treated animals.In addition,placenta-derived MSC was the most effective in improving pulmonary fibrosis in comparison to other sources.This study suggests that MSC might be a novel therapeutic approach in pulmonary fibrosis due to an enhanced anti-inflammatory effect.Also,MSC modification by gene editing could enhance their therapeutic effect in mouse pulmonary fibrosis.SHUCAI WU DENGRUI LI SUMIN GUO LI GAO YONGHUI YANG 2021BIOCELL2021,45,2:0
5Enhanced E-commerce Fraud Prediction Based on a Convolutional Neural Network Model显示文摘The rapidly escalating sophistication of e-commerce fraud in recent years has led to an increasing reliance on fraud detection methods based on machine learning.However,fraud detection methods based on conventional machine learning approaches suffer from several problems,including an excessively high number of network parameters,which decreases the efficiency and increases the difficulty of training the network,while simultaneously leading to network overfitting.In addition,the sparsity of positive fraud incidents relative to the overwhelming proportion of negative incidents leads to detection failures in trained networks.The present work addresses these issues by proposing a convolutional neural network(CNN)framework for detecting ecommerce fraud,where network training is conducted using historical market transaction data.The number of network parameters reduces via the local perception field and weight sharing inherent in the CNN framework.In addition,this deep learning framework enables the use of an algorithmiclevel approach to address dataset imbalance by focusing the CNN model on minority data classes.The proposed CNN model is trained and tested using a large public e-commerce service dataset from 2018,and the test results demonstrate that the model provides higher fraud prediction accuracy than existing state-of-the-art methods.Sumin Xie Ling Liu Guang Sun Bin Pan Lin Lang Peng Guo 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4:0
