| 1 | Advanced landfill leachate treatment using a two-stage UASB-SBR system at low temperature显示文摘A two-stage upflow anaerobic sludge blanket(UASB) and sequencing batch reactor(SBR) system was introduced to treat landfill leachate for advanced removal of COD and nitrogen at low temperature.In order to improve the total nitrogen(TN) removal efficiency and to reduce the COD requirement for denitrification,the raw leachate with recycled SBR nitrification supernatant was pumped into the first-stage UASB(UASB1) to achieve simultaneous denitrification and methanogenesis.The results showed that UASB1 played an important role in COD removal and UASB2 and SBR further enhanced the nutrient removal efficiency.When the organic loading rates of UASB1,UASB2 and SBR were 11.95,1.63 and 1.29 kg COD/(m3·day),respectively,the total COD removal efficiency of the whole system reached 96.7%.The SBR acted as the real undertaker for NH4+-N removal due to aerobic nitrification.The system obtained about 99.7% of NH4+-N removal efficiency at relatively low temperature(14.9-10.9°C).More than 98.3% TN was removed through complete denitrification in UASB1 and SBR.In addition,temperature had a significant effiect on the rates of nitrification and denitrification rather than the removal of TN and NH4+-N once the complete nitrification and denitrification were achieved. | Hongwei Sun,Qing Yang,Yongzhen Peng,Xiaoning Shi,Shuying Wang,Shujun Zhang Key Laboratory of Beijing Water Quality Science and Water Envirocnnment Recovery Engineering,Beijing University of Technology,Beijing 100124,China | 2010 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,4: | 26 |
| 2 | One-pot synthesis of graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides nanocomposites for the efficient removal of U(VI) from wastewater显示文摘Graphene oxide and Ni-Al layered double hydroxides(GO@LDH) nanocomposites were synthesized via a one-pot hydrothermal process,and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) and Raman spectroscopy in detail.The exploration of U(VI) sorption on GO@LDH surface was performed as a function of ionic strength,solution pH,contact time,U(VI) initial concentrations and temperature.Results of Langmuir isotherms showed that the sorption capacity of GO@LDH(160 mg/g) was much higher than those of LDH(69 mg/g) and GO(92 mg/g).The formed surface complexes between surface oxygen-containing functional groups of GO@LDH and U(VI) turned out to be the interaction mechanism of U(VI) with GO@LDH.According to the thermodynamic studies results,the sorption interaction was actually a spontaneous and endothermic chemical process.The sorption isotherms were better fitted with the Langmuir model compared with other models,which suggested the interaction was mainly dominated by mono layer coverage.The GO@LDH nanocomposites provide potential applications as adsorbents in the enrichment of radionuclides from wastewater in nuclear waste management and environmental remediation. | Shujun Yu Jian Wang Shuang Song Kunyu Sun Jun Li Xiangxue Wang Zhongshan Chen Xiangke Wang | 2017 | Science China Chemistry2017,60,3: | 12 |
| 3 | Achieving the nitrite pathway using FA inhibition and process control in UASB-SBR system removing nitrogen from landfill leachate显示文摘An up-flow sludge blanket(UASB) and sequencing batch reactor(SBR) system was introduced to remove organics and nitrogen from landfill leachate.The synergetic effect of free ammonia(FA) inhibition and process control was used to achieve the nitrite pathway in the SBR.In previous research,inhibition of FA on nitrite oxidizing bacteria(NOB) activity has been revealed and the process control parameters(DO,ORP and pH) exactly indicate the end-point of nitritation.The method was implemented in the SBR achieving stable nitrogen removal via the nitrite pathway from landfill leachate.The degree of nitrite accumulation during the nitritation was monitored along with the simultaneous and advanced removal of organics and nitrogen in the UASB-SBR system.The nitrifying bacteria community was quantitatively analyzed by fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) techniques.Batch tests were carried out to investigate the denitritation kinetics of microbial bacteria in the SBR.Experimental results showed that the nitrite pathway could be repeatedly and reliably achieved by synergetic effect of FA inhibition and process control.FISH analysis showed the dominant nitrifying bacteria were ammonia-oxidizing β-Proteobacteria. | 4 | Identification of causative compounds and microorganisms for musty odor occurrence in the Huangpu River,China显示文摘There are regular problems of musty odor in the Huangpu River,a major source of drinking water for Shanghai,China.In this study,the musty odor and its main causative compounds in the Huangpu River source water were confirmed through a yearly investigation using flavor profile analysis combined with HSPME-GC-MS analysis.The investigation showed that 2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB) with a concentration level between 28.6 and 71.0 ng/L was responsible for the musty odor in summer from July to September.Microscopic observation confirmed with the cloning results showed that Phormidium spp.,which accounted for 80%-95% of the algal cell density,was the microorganisms responsible for the production of 2-MIB and the estimated 2-MIB yield was 0.022 pg/cell.Results from a wide-area sampling campaign in the Huangpu River watershed showed that,other than the large tributaries receiving water from Tai Lake,several small creeks close to the intake may have contributed most of the 2-MIB and the Phormidium spp.to the Huangpu River source water.This study provides methodology for the investigation of odor causing compounds and microorganisms in river-type source water,and the result will be useful for water quality control in both source water and drinking water. | Daolin Sun Jianwei Yu Wei An Min Yang Guoguang Chen Shujun Zhang | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3: | 6 |
| 5 | Abnormal Metabolic Connectivity in Rats at the Acute Stage of Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Stroke at the acute stage is a major cause of disability in adults, and is associated with dysfunction of brain networks. However, the mechanisms underlying changes in brain connectivity in stroke are far from fully elucidated. In the present study, we investigated brain metabolism and metabolic connectivity in a rat ischemic stroke model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)at the acute stage using18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. Voxel-wise analysis showed decreased metabolism mainly in the ipsilesional hemisphere, and increased metabolism mainly in the contralesional cerebellum. We used further metabolic connectivity analysis to explore the brain metabolic network in MCAO.Compared to sham controls, rats with MCAO showed most significantly reduced nodal and local efficiency in the ipsilesional striatum. In addition, the MCAO group showed decreased metabolic central connection of the ipsilesional striatum with the ipsilesional cerebellum, ipsilesional hippocampus, and bilateral hypothalamus. | 10 | An Experimental Study on Homoharringtonine Liposome and Glaucoma Filtration Surgery显示文摘Purpose: To observe the inhibitory action of homoharringtonine liposome during the healing process of wounds in the filtering sitesMethods: posterior sclerectomies were performed in 14 rabbits. Postoperatively one eye of each rabbit received subconjunctival injections of HH liposome and fellow eye received saline injection in a randomized masked fashion.Results; Fourteen days after operation the IOP of experimental eyes reduced significantly (P < 0.01) as compared with the controlled eyes, and the number of remaining filtering blebs increased noticeably (P< 0.05). Pathohistological examination revealed that the number of fibroblasts per square micron in the filtering sites and the thickness of the scars in the center of the filtering sites of the experimental eyes were less than those of the controlled eyes. | 19 | 洛铂和奥沙利铂对结直肠癌细胞系生物学行为影响的实验研究(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to observe the effects of lobaplatin and oxaliplatin on biological behavior of colorectal carcinoma cell line. Methods: The human colorectal carcinoma cell line LoVo and HR-8348 were used in the present study, and different concentrations of lobaplatin and oxaliplatin served as inhibitors. The invasion and metastasis potential were evaluated with Transwell chamber, and cell inhibition ratio was measured with MTT assay. Results: Lobaplatin and oxaliplatin could significantly decrease the abilities of invasion and metastasis of LoVo and HR-8348 as compared with the control group (P < 0.01), but no difference between lobaplatin and oxaliplatin groups was observed (P > 0.05). No difference was found in the cell inhibition ratio between the lobaplatin and oxaliplatin groups (P > 0.05). Lobaplatin could inhibit colorectal carcinoma cells that oxaliplatin couldn’t do. Conclusion: Lobaplatin is a new antitumor platinum drug and can inhibit colorectal carcinoma cells.
