| 1 | Tuning the base properties of Mg–Al hydrotalcite catalysts using their memory effect显示文摘Herein,the relationship between the structure and base properties of Mg–Al hydrotalcite catalysts was comprehensively investigated in relation to heat treatment and rehydration processes,which are well known as memory effects of hydrotalcite.The structure of Mg–Al hydrotalcites changed from layered double hydroxide(LDH)to mixed metal oxide and subsequently to a spinel structure during heat treatment,and it was returned from mixed metal oxide to a LDH structure by rehydration.Based on various characterizations,we successfully proposed a detailed mechanism of memory effect.We also confirmed that the Mg–Al hydrotalcites had weak or strong base sites and that their base properties could be systematically tuned by heat treatment and rehydration.The prepared Mg–Al hydrotalcites were applied to a model reaction,isomerization of glucose to fructose,as base catalysts.Among the catalysts tested,the rehydrated Mg–Al hydrotalcite efficiently produced fructose due to its appropriate base and structure properties.We finally concluded that the base sites of Mg–Al hydrotalcites can be designed as desired by heat treatment and rehydration.Moreover,through systematic design of the base sites of Mg–Al hydrotalcites,these can be promising catalysts for various heterogeneous reactions over base catalysts,giving excellent catalytic performances. | Dahye Kwon Ji Yeon Kang Suna An Inchan Yang Ji Chul Jung | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,7: | 6 |

| 4 | Efficacy of abatacept treatment in a patient with enteropathy carrying a variant of unsignificance in CTLA4 gene:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte Antigen-4(CTLA4)deficiency is a genetic defect that causes a common variable immunodeficiency(CVID)clinical phenotype.Several studies have reported an association between CTLA mutations or variants and various autoimmune diseases.Targeted therapy models,which have become increasingly popular in recent years,have been successful in treating CTLA4 deficiency.In this article,we discuss the clinical outcomes of abatacept treatment in a patient with CTLA4 and lipopolysaccharide-responsive beige-like anchor(LRBA)variants that was previously diagnosed with CVID.CASE SUMMARY A 25-year-old female patient,who was visibly cachectic,visited our clinic over the course of five years,complaining of diarrhea.The patient was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in the centers she had visited previously,and various treatments were administered;however,clinical improvement could not be achieved.Severe hypokalemia was detected during an examination.Her serum immunoglobulin levels,CD19+B-cell percentage,and CD4/CD8 ratio were low.An endoscopic examination revealed erosive gastritis,nodular duodenitis,and pancolitis.Histopathological findings supported the presence of immune mediated enteropathy.When the patient was examined carefully,she was diagnosed with CVID,and intravenous immunoglobulin treatment was initiated.Peroral and rectal therapeutic drugs including steroid therapy episodes were administered to treat the immune mediated enteropathy.Strict follow-ups and treatment were performed due to the hypokalemia.After conducting genetic analyses,the CTLA4 and LRBA variants were identified and abatacept treatment was initiated.With targeted therapy,the patient’s clinical and laboratory findings rapidly regressed,and there was an increase in weight.CONCLUSION The heterozygous CTLA4 variant identified in the patient has been previously shown to be associated with various autoimmune diseases.The successful clinical outcome of abatacept treatment in this patient supports the idea that this variant plays a role in the immunopathogenesis of the disease.In the presence of severe disease,abatacept therapy should be considered until further testing can be conducted. | Ugur Musabak Tuba Erdoğan Serdar Ceylaner EmreÖzbek Nuretdin Suna Binnaz HandanÖzdemir | 2023 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2023,11,26: | 0 |
| 5 | Advances and prospects of triboelectric nanogenerator for self-powered system显示文摘Self-powered technology is a novel power supply technology.In recent years,self-powered intelligent products have attracted much interests.Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)can convert mechanical energy into electrical energy by contact and relative motion,thus providing the possibility of self-powering for electronic equipments.However,TENG-based self-powered technologies are limited by low power output and poor conversion efficiency.In this review,we present the development of TENG-based self-powered systems,with the emphasis on the output power of TENG and how to improve it.Based on the above applications,we propose the idea of TENG-driven self-powered remote robots,providing promising scenarios of small remote robots for land rescue or underwater detection.Due to the limited power output of the current TENGs,there are still some difficulties in driving the robot.Aiming at the problems of low power supply and poor conversion efficiency,we introduce the current attempts to improve the power generation efficiency from the perspectives of mechanical structure,electrode materials and auxiliary tools.We also outline the applications of TENGs as power supply systems in various fields such as sensing,wearable devices,and collecting Marine energy.Finally,we forecast the development prospect of TENG. | Xuyao An Chunnan Wang Ruomei Shao Shuqing Suna | 2021 | International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials2021,12,3: | 0 |
