| 9 | Plasmodium falciparum found in the bone marrow of a child in Manado City,East Indonesia:A case report显示文摘In Indonesia, there are at least 1.3 million cases of malaria each year and Plasmodium falciparum appears to be the most common Plasmodium.The finding of Plasmodium is important for the diagnosis and management of malaria.This is a case of a 4-year-and-9-month-old male who lived in Manado, East Indonesia.He presented with a prolonged fever, was pale in appearance, and was easily fatigued over the last 3 weeks.Hepatosplenomegaly was found on the initial physical examination.Preliminary laboratory findings found pancytopenia and severe anemia.Before he was referred to our hospital, at the primary health center, the initial work-up was negative for Plasmodium with the serial Rapid Diagnostic Test and microscopic peripheral blood smears.Since there were signs and symptoms mimicking malignancy, the patient was referred to our hospital for further malignancy work-up.A bone marrow puncture was done and we incidentally found Plasmodium falciparum in a microscopic bone marrow smear.This was a rare case because Plasmodium was not initially found in the preliminary work-up(Rapid Diagnostic Test and Microscopic) and qPCR is not a routine work-up for Plasmodium suspected patients.Although the mortality rate of malaria is high, this condition can be treated if the clinician was aware of the clinical signs and symptoms in the early onset and prompt medical treatment is administered.In a severe case with an unclear etiology of fever and with signs and symptoms mimicking malignancy, qPCR is recommended.However, a bone marrow puncture can also be considered to exclude the possibility of a malaria infection. | Suryadi N.N.Tatura Stefanus Gunawan Janno Bernadus Sianne Sandjoto | 2017 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2017,10,10: | 1 |

| 19 | Stepwise Pyrolysis by LBCR Downstream to Enhance of Gasoline Fraction of Liquid Fuel from MMSW显示文摘Pyrolysis is one of the thermal cracking methods to convert hydrocarbon to liquid fuel.The quantity and quality of the process are dependent on several condition including temperature,reaction time,catalyst,and the type of reactor.Meanwhile,a gasoline fraction was maximum product to be considered in the pyrolisis process.Therefore,this study aims to increase the gasoline fraction in liquid fuel using stepwise pyrolysis with a long bed catalytic reactor downstream(LBCR).The LBCR downstream was equipped with the top and bottom outlet and the fed source was mixed municipal solid waste(MMSW).The activated natural dolomite at 500℃ was used to allow the repetition of the secondary cracking.Also,the reactor temperature was setup at around 200℃-300℃ and the pyrolizer was 400℃.To analyze the gasoline fraction and physical properties of liquid fuel,Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy(GC-MS)and ASTM standard were employed.The experimental results showed there was a significant increase in the gasoline fraction of liquid fuels compared to using direct catalytic cracking and absence of catalysts.By using a LBCR at 250℃,the liquid fuel obtained at top outlet(TO)and bottom outlet(BO)have 84.08 and 56.94 percent peak area of gasoline fraction(C5-C12),respectively.The average value(TO and BO)of the fraction at 250℃ by LBCR was 70.51 percent peak area and it was increased by about 93.6%and 51.14%compared to without catalyst and direct catalytic,respectively.Furthermore,pyrolytic liquid oils were found to have kinematic viscosity of 2.979 and 0.789 cSt,density of 0.781 and 0.782 g/cm^(3),and flash point<−5℃ for BO-250 and TO-250 liquid fuel,respectively.These results showed BO liquid fuel was comparable to diesel conventional fuel while TO liquid fuel was comparable to gasoline.Evidently,the presence of LBCR made a major contribution to generate multi secondary cracking and to produce more gasoline fraction from mixed MMSW feedstock,as well as to increase the physical properties of liquid fuel. | Indra Mamad Gandidi Edy Suryadi Efri Mardawati Dwi Rustam Kendarto Nugroho Agung Pambudi | 2022 | Energy Engineering2022,119,3: | 0 |
| 20 | A data-driven approach to estimating post-discovery parameters of unexplored oilfields显示文摘Consider a typical situation where an investor is considering acquiring an unexplored oilfield.The oilfield has undergone a preliminary geological and geophysical study in which pre-discovery data such as lithology,depth,depositional system,diagenetic overprint,structural compartmentalization,and trap type are available.In this situation,investors usually estimate production rates using a volumetric approach.A more accurate estimation of production rates can be obtained using analytical methods,which require additional data such as net pay,porosity,oil formation volume factor,permeability,viscosity,and pressure.We call these data post-discovery parameters because they are only available after discovery through exploration drilling.A data-driven approach to estimating post-discovery parameters of an unexplored oilfield is developed based on its pre-discovery data by learning from proven reservoir data.Using the Gaussian mixture model,and a data-driven reservoir typology based on the joint probability distribution of post-discovery parameters is established.We came up with 12 reservoir types.Subsequently,an artificial neural network classification model with the resilient backpropagation algorithm is used to find relationships between pre-discovery data and reservoir types.Based on k-fold crossvalidation with k?10,the accuracy of the classification model is stable with an average of 87.9%.With our approach,an investor considering acquiring an unexplored oilfield can classify the oilfield's reservoir into a particular type and estimate its post-discovery parameters'joint probability distribution.The investor can incorporate this information into a valuation model to calculate the production rates more accurately,estimate the oilfield's value and risk,and make an informed acquisition decision accordingly. | Fransiscus Pratikto Sapto Indratno Kadarsah Suryadi Djoko Santoso | 2023 | Petroleum2023,9,2: | 0 |
