| 2 | Role of penehyclidine in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning显示文摘BACKGROUND:Penehyclidine is a newly developed anticholinergic agent.We aimed to investigate the role of penehyclidine in acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning(OP)patients.METHODS:We searched the Pubmed,Cochrane library,EMBASE,Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Chinese Biomedical literature(CBM)and Wanfang databases.Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)recruiting acute OP patients were identifi ed for meta-analysis.Main outcomes included cure rate,mortality rate,time to atropinization,time to 60%normal acetylcholinesterase(AchE)level,rate of intermediate syndrome(IMS)and rate of adverse drug reactions(ADR).RESULTS:Sixteen RCTs involving 1,334 patients were identifi ed.Compared with the atropineor penehyclidine-alone groups,atropine combined with penehyclidine significantly increased the cure rate(penehyclidine+atropine vs.atropine,0.97 vs.0.86,RR 1.13,95%CI[1.07–1.19];penehyclidine+atropine vs.penehyclidine,0.93 vs.0.80,RR 1.08,95%CI[1.01–1.15])and reduced the mortality rate(penehyclidine+atropine vs.atropine,0.015 vs.0.11,RR 0.17,95%CI[0.06–0.49];penehyclidine+atropine vs.penehyclidine,0.13 vs.0.08,RR 0.23,95%CI[0.04–1.28]).Atropine combined with penehyclidine in OP patients also helped reduce the time to atropinization and AchE recovery,the rate of IMS and the rate of ADR.Compared with a single dose of atropine,a single dose of penehyclidine also signifi cantly elevated the cure rate,reduced times to atropinization,AchE recovery,and rate of IMS.CONCLUSION:Atropine combined with penehyclidine benefi ts OP patients by enhancing the cure rate,mortality rate,time to atropinization,AchE recovery,IMS rate,total ADR and duration of hospitalization.Penehyclidine combined with atropine is likely a better initial therapy for OP patients than atropine alone. | Shi-yuan Yu Yan-xia Gao Joseph Walline Xin Lu Li-na Zhao Yuan-xu Huang Jiang Tao An-yong Yu Na Ta Ren-ju Xiao Yi Li | 2020 | World Journal of Emergency Medicine2020,11,1: | 18 |
| 3 | Design of Floating Mass Type Piezoelectric Actuator for Implantable Middle Ear Hearing Devices显示文摘To overcome some of the problems inherent in conventional hearing aids such as low gain at high frequencies due to acoustic feedback, discomfort in occlusion of the external ear canal and so on, implantable middle ear hearing devices (IMEHDs) have been developed over the past two decades. For such kinds of IMEHDs, this paper presents the design of a floating mass piezoelectric actuator using a PMN-30%PT stack as a new type of vibrator. The proposed piezoelectric actuator consists of only three components of a piezoelectric stack, a metal case and a clamp. For the purpose of aiding the design of this actuator, a coupling biomechanics model of human middle ear and the piezoelectric actuator was constructed. This model was built based on a complete set of computerized tomography section images of a healthy volunteer’s left ear by reverse engineering technology. The validity of this model was confirmed by comparing the motion of the tympanic membrane and stapes footplate obtained by this model with published experimental measurements on human temporal bones. It is shown that the designed actuator can be implanted on the incus long process by a simple surgical operation, and the stapes footplate displacement by its excitation at 10.5 V root-mean-square(RMS) voltage was equivalent to that from acoustic stimulation at 100 dB sound pressure level(SPL), which is adequate stimulation to the ossicular chain. | 5 | Prevalence and clinical application of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion in Asian prostate cancer patients: a large-sample study in Chinese people and a systematic review显示文摘Fusion between the transmembrane protease serine 2 and v-ets erythroblastosis virus E26 oncogene homolog(TMPRSS2-ERG fusion)is a common genetic alteration in prostate cancer among Western populations and has been suggested as playing a role in tumorigenesis and progression of prostate cancer.However,the prevalence of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion differs among different ethnic groups,and contradictory results have been reported in Asian patients.We aim to evaluate the prevalence and significance of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion as a molecular subtyping and prognosis indicator of prostate cancer in Asians.We identified the fusion status in 669 samples from prostate biopsy and radical prostatectomy by fluorescence in situ hybridization and/or immunohistochemistry in China.We examined the association of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion with clinicopathological characteristics and biochemical recurrence by Chi-square test and Kaplan–Meier analysis.Finally,a systematic review was performed to investigate the positive rate of the fusion in Asian prostate cancer patients.McNemar’s test was employed to compare the positive rates of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion detected using different methods.The positive rates of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion were 16%in our samples and 27%in Asian patients.In our samples,9.4%and 19.3%of cases were recognized as fusion positive by fluorescence in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry,respectively.No significant association between the fusion and clinical parameters was observed.TMPRSS2-ERG fusion is not a frequent genomic alteration among Asian prostate cancer patients and has limited significance in clinical practices in China.Besides ethnic difference,detection methods potentially influence the results showing a positive rate of TMPRSS2-ERG fusion. | De-Pei Kong Rui Chen Chun-Lei Zhang Wei Zhang Guang-An Xiao Fu-Bo Wang Na Ta Xu Gao Ying-Hao Sun | 2020 | Asian Journal of Andrology2020,22,2: | 4 |

As essential part of smart city planning and management, smart travel offers an effective behavior planning countermeasure to reduce the amount of urban traffi c and optimize the space-time distribution of travels and provides an effective technology to enrich the theories and methodologies of urban and transportation planning. Orienting at the practical demand of citizens and focusing on their travel behavior, this paper carries out a discussion on the smart travel framework based on space-time behavior study and analyzes smart travel planning and its policy route from multiple perspectives, including a prediction on travel demand, transportation planning, public policy-making, and urban planning. | 8 | Trace elements in tree rings and their environmental effects: A case study in Xi’an City显示文摘Using wet digested method and ICP mass spectrometer, we analyzed the concentration of five trace elements (Cd, Mn, P, Zn and Pb) for the tree rings from both urban and suburbs of Xi'an. At the urban sampling site, one Chinese mahogany (Toona sinensis) disc and one phoenix tree (Firmiana simplex) disc were sampled from a steelworks in Xi'an City. At the suburb site, a Chinese mahogany disc was collected from a village in the south of the City. In addition, some soils near the roots of the sampled trees were collected. The analysis results indicate that the concentration of each of the five elements in annual rings has a positive correlation with the production of the steelworks. Statistical calculations show that Pb and Mn elements were stable without lag effects. That means these two elements do not move between rings. Cd displayed one year moving, P two years and Zn three years.
