1Identification of EST–SSRs and molecular diversity analysis in Mentha piperita显示文摘EST sequences of Mentha piperita available in the public domain(NCBI) were exploited to develop SSR markers. A total of 1316 ESTs were assembled into 155 contigs and 653 singletons and of these, 110 sequences were found to contain 130 SSRs, with a frequency of1 SSR/3.4 kb. Dinucleotide repeat SSRs were most frequent(72.3%) with the AG/CT(43.8%)repeat motif followed by AT/AT(16.2%). Primers were successfully designed for 68SSR-containing sequences(62.0%). The 68 primers amplified 13 accessions of M. piperita and 54 produced clear amplicons of the expected size. Of these 54, 33(61%) were found to be polymorphic among M. piperita accessions, showing from 2 to 4 alleles with an average of2.33 alleles/SSR, and the polymorphic information content(PIC) value varied between 0.13 and 0.51(average 0.25). All the amplified SSRs showed transferability among four different species of Mentha, with a highest in Mentha arvensis(87.0%) and minimum in Mentha citrata(37.0%). 2Effect of different synthesis techniques on structural, magnetic and magneto-transport properties of Pr_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_3 manganite显示文摘We investigated the effect of different synthesis techniques on the structural, magnetic and magneto-transport properties of Pr0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (PSMO) samples. The samples were synthesized by three different techniques: solid state reaction, sol-gel and chemical Co-precipitation method. XRD studies confirmed the single phase formation of PSMO by all three techniques. It was also found that the magnetotransport properties of PSMO strongly depended on the synthesis techniques. A substantial decrease in the insulator-metal transition temperature (TIM) and an enhancement in resistivity were observed in the samples synthesized through co-precipitation method as compared to solid state and sol-gel synthesized samples. Furthermore, a reduction in magnetization and a decrease in paramagnetic-ferromagnetic (PM-FM) transition temperatures (TC) were also noticed in co-precipitation method synthesized sample. 3Implantless patellar fixation in medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction显示文摘Purpose:The medial patellofemoral ligament(MPFL)acts as primary restraint to lateral patellar dislocation and its rupture has been reported in almost all cases of acute patellar dislocation.Various surgical techniques have been described for MPFL reconstruction,using many femoral and patellar fixation techniques and different grafts.This article details our technique for MPFL reconstruction using semitendinosus graft which avoids the use of implant at patellar end.Methods:Twenty patients(8 males and 12 females)with complaints regarding acute and chronic lateral patellar instability were evaluated and treated by MPFL reconstruction procedure.The mean age of patients was 21 years(range 17-34 years).MPFL reconstruction was performed using semitendinosus graft passing through two parallel,obliquely directed tunnels created in patella.Fixation of graft was done with an interference screw only at the femoral end.Mean follow-up period after intervention was 26.4 months(range 23-30 months).Results were evaluated using Kujala score.Results:All patients gained adequate patellar stability and full arc of motion.No incidence of patella fracture was noted.There were no postoperative complications related to the procedure.There was no recurrence of instability in patella at final follow-up.Conclusion:Passing the graft through the tunnels in patella without use of any implant has given excellent functional outcome and moreover has the advantages of less implant-related complications and cost-effectiveness.Ashish Devgan Umesh Yadav Pankaj Sharma Rajesh Rohilla Radhika Devgan Pravesh Mudgil Aman Verma Vasudha Dhupper 2019Chinese Journal of Traumatology2019,22,5:1
4Smoking is a risk factor for venous thromboembolism显示文摘Smoking is a serious health problem and most important avoidable causes of death in the world.Smoking is the major risk factor for cardiovascular system for developing atherosclerosis which is also associated for the development thromboembolism.Smoking is one of six major modifiable risk factors for cardiac vascular disease and is the leading cause of death.1 According to the results of recent studies,venous thromboembolism (VTE) can also result from smoking.2 VTE results from a combination of hereditary and acquired risk factors,or hypercoagulable states associated with smoking.It is a common,lethal disorder that affects hospitalized and non hospitalized patients,recurs frequently,is often overlooked,and results in longterm complications including chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and the post-thrombotic syndrome.Regular smoking has been associated with VTE in different studies.Yadav Umesh Ailiman Mahemuti ZHOU Xian-hui 2013Chinese Medical Journal2013,,16:1
