3Highly stable and antifouling graphene oxide membranes prepared by bio-inspired modification for water purification显示文摘Graphene oxide(GO)membranes show great potential in molecular separation for water treatment.However,the inferior stability of GO membranes is a major bottleneck for practical applications.In this study,bio-inspired polydopamine(PDA)deposition is reported for enhancing the stability of GO membranes.Through simple and mild immersion,PDA is self-polymerized on GO membranes.The blocking of PDA chains to membrane defects improves the rejections for various molecules.Because the inherently strong adhesion and crosslinking of PDA greatly strengthen the interactions of substrates to GO layers and the binding force of GO nanosheets,the prepared PDA-GO membranes exhibit impressive long-te rm stability in cross-flow filtration,and maintain good nanofiltration perfo rmance at various feed pressures,tangential velocities,and eve n after external scratching.Moreover,because the deposited PDA layers obstruct the direct contact between GO and contaminants,the antifouling property of the PDA-GO membranes increases substantially,with recovery ratio about 98%.Weiming Zhong Yuyu Zhang Ling Zhao Wanbin Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:3
4Synergistic catalysis for stereocontrol of prochiral nucleophiles in palladium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution显示文摘In contrast to the stereocontrol of the stereocenter at the allyl unit,the asymmetric induction of prochiral nucleophiles remains a challenge in Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitutions due to the remote distance between the chiral catalyst and the stereocenter established at prochiral nucleophile.Much effort has been devoted to solving this challenge through the elaborate design of chiral ligands.Recently,synergistic catalysis has gained increasing attention owing to its potential advantages over the traditional single palladium catalysis,such as improvement of reactivity and selectivity.This strategy,including bimetallic catalysis and Pd/organocatalysis,not only broadens the scope of prochiral nucleophiles,but also provides a simple and unified method for the stereocontrol of prochiral nucleophiles.This review summarizes the brief history and advances in this field.Xi Wang Youbin Peng Ling Zhao Xiaohong Huo Wanbin Zhang 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,8:1
5Ni-Catalyzed Enantioconvergent Coupling of Epoxides with Alkenylboronic Acids:Construction of Oxindoles Bearing Quaternary Carbons显示文摘We have developed a nickel-nickel/bisphosphinecatalyzed stereoconvergent cross-coupling reaction of epoxides with alkenylboronic acids.Racemic spiroepoxyoxindoles were converted to chiral homoallylic alcohols bearing quaternary carbon stereogenic centers via a stereoablative enantioconvergent transformation.The subsequently fabricated oxindoles-carrying quaternary carbon products were obtained in good yields and enantioselectivity.A wide range of substrates and alkenylboronic acids was tolerated under the catalytic system.This reaction provided a rare example of a nickelcatalyzed enantioselective cross-coupling reaction of tertiary alkyl electrophiles and an enantioconvergent transformation of racemic epoxides,beneficial as a low-cost,sustainable,and efficient catalyst in the preparation of chiral oxindole-containing natural and pharmaceutical compounds.Liang Wu Guoqiang Yang Wanbin Zhang 2020CCS Chemistry2020,2,2:1
6Asymmetric Synthesis of Anti-tuberculosis-specific Drug TBAJ-876 through Synergistic Li/Li Catalysis显示文摘TBAJ-876, developed by TB Alliance, a novel anti-tuberculosis-specific drug, has entered Phase II clinical trials. Herein, the first asymmetric synthesis of TBAJ-876 has been realized using synergistic Li/Li catalysis with excellent yield of 95% and 88 : 12 er (99.6 : 0.4 er, 10 : 1 dr after simple recrystallization). Furthermore, DFT calculations and 7Li-NMR analysis illustrated the mechanism of the synergistic reaction: a chiral Li-complex activates the nucleophile to control the stereoselectivity, while the other achiral Li-complex activates the electrophile to catalyze the carbonyl addition reaction. 11Asymmetric synthesis of bedaquiline based on bimetallic activation and non-covalent interaction promotion strategies显示文摘Bedaquiline(BDQ),approved by Food and Drug Administration(FDA)in 2012 as the first anti-tuberculosis-specific drug in the last 40 years,is viewed as one of the world’s most promising treatments for tuberculosis(TB).Due to the stereoselective construction of the Csp^(3)–Csp^(3)bond with vicinal stereocenters of BDQ and its analogues being an unsolved challenge,there have not been any reports concerning its asymmetric synthesis for the current industrial production process until now.Herein,we have successfully developed a cooperative bimetallic system for the asymmetric synthesis of BDQ under the guidance of density functional theory(DFT)computations.Based on the optimized conditions,BDQ could be synthesized with excellent enantioselectivity(>99%ee)and diastereoselectivity(16:1 dr).A 5-g scale reaction was also conducted with comparably excellent results,showing its potential for industrial application.Feng Gao Jing Li Tanveer Ahmad Yicong Luo Zhenfeng Zhang Qianjia Yuan Xiaohong Huo Tao Song Wanbin Zhang 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,10:1

15Synthesis of Chiral Hydantoins and Thiazolidinediones via Iridium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Hydrogenation显示文摘Herein,we report an iridium-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of hydantoin and thiazolidinedione derived exocyclic alkenes using our developed BiphPHOX as a ligand.The transformation shows good functional group tolerance,and gives the hydrogenated prod-ucts with excellent yields(up to 99%)and enantioselectivities(up to 98%ee).A gram-scale reaction was also carried out,and pro-vided the hydrogenated product in excellent yield with no erosion in enantioselectivity.Finally,the transformation of the hydrogen-ated product provided an efficient approach for the synthesis of the intermediate of a HIV protease inhibitor.Yu Nie Jing Li Qianjia Yuan Wanbin Zhang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,7:0

19Directional modulation with distributed receiver selection for secure wireless communications显示文摘In this paper, a novel directional modulation with distributed receiver selection(DM-DRS)scheme is proposed for secure wireless communications. In DM-DRS, a particular subset of receivers is activated and part of the information bits are modulated by the index of the activation pattern, in addition to traditional digital modulation. Especially, the scrambling matrix is introduced for the sake of preventing the eavesdropping. Moreover, the performances of bit error rate(BER) in terms of the union bound for both the legitimate user and eavesdropper are respectively derived in the context of an optimal joint maximum likelihood(ML) detector, and the theoretical BER upper bounds are demonstrated to be tight by the numerical results. In the context of the discrete-input and continuous-output system, the ergodic secrecy rates of the legitimate user and the eavesdropper are obtained, the secrecy rate is also quantified. 20Tailoring of a robust asymmetric aramid nanofibers/MXene aerogel film for enhanced infrared thermal camouflage and Joule heating performances显示文摘The development of infrared(IR)surveillance technology has led to a growing interest in thermal camouflage.However,the trade-off relationship between low IR-emissivity and thermal insulation hinders the advance of thermal camouflage materials.Herein,guided by multi-physics simulation,we show a design of asymmetric aramid nanofibers/MXene(ANF/MXene)aerogel film that realizes high-efficient thermal camouflage applications.The rationale is that the asymmetric structure contains a thermal-insulation three-dimensional(3D)network part to prevent effective heat transfer and a low IR-emissivity(~0.3)dense surface layer to suppress radiative heat emission.It is remarkable that the synergy mechanism in the topology structure contributes to over 40%reduction of target radiation temperature.Impressively,the tailored asymmetric ANF/MXene aerogel film also enables sound mechanical properties such as a Young’s modulus of 44.4 MPa and a tensile strength of 1.3 MPa,superior to most aerogel materials.It also exhibits great Joule heating performances including low driving voltage(4 V),fast thermal response(<10 s),and long-term stability,further enabling its versatile thermal camouflage applications.This work offers an innovative design concept to configure multifunctional structures for next-generation thermal management applications.Wanbin Dang Wei Guo Wenting Chen Qiuyu Zhang 2024Nano Research2024,17,3:0
