2Identification and field evaluation of the sex pheromone of an invasive pest,the fall webworm Hyphantria cunea in China显示文摘Pheromone gland extracts of the fall webworm,Hyphantria cunea(Lepidoptera:Arctiidae) were analyzed by gas chromatography(GC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).Based on comparison of retention times and mass spectra of synthetic standards,four compounds were identi-fied as(9Z,12Z)-octadecadienal,(9Z,12Z,15Z)-octadecatrienal,(3Z,6Z,9S,10R)-9,10-epoxy-3,6-heneicosadiene and(3Z,6Z,9S,10R)-9,10-epoxy-1,3,6-heneicosatriene with a ratio of 2:33.6:58.4:6.Trapping tests showed that quaternary blend of these compounds was highly attractive to male H.cunea.Unitraps baited with the quaternary blend loading of 200―300 μg on a gray rubber septum were very effective for monitoring H.cunea populations.SU MaoWen FANG YuLing TAO WanQiang YAN GuoZeng MA WanE ZHANG ZhongNing 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,4:7

4Targeting Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis: Potential Intervention Strategies for Neurological Disorders显示文摘It is well known that the gut microbiota plays an extremely important role in modulating host physiological functions such as immunity and metabolic homeostasis.In recent years,accumulated evidence has revealed that the gut microbiota can regulate the functions of the central nervous system(CNS)through the gut-brain axis,which provides a novel insight into the interactions between the gut and brain.This review focuses on the molecular mechanism of the crosstalk between the gut microbiota and the brain via the gut-brain axis,and on the onset and development of neurological disorders triggered by gut microbiota dysbiosis.These topics are followed by a critical analysis of potential intervention strategies targeting gut microbiota dysbiosis,including the use of probiotics,prebiotics,synbiotics,and diets.While research on the microbiota-gut-brain axis is still in its relative infancy,clarifying the molecular mechanism that underlies how the gut microbiota regulates neurological functions not only holds the promise of revealing potentially novel pathogeneses of neurological disorders,but also may lead to the development of potential diagnosis biomarkers and intervention strategies targeting microbiota dysbiosis for neurological disorders.Wanqiang Wu Qingmin Kong Peijun Tian Qixiao Zhai Gang Wang Xiaoming Liu Jianxin Zhao Hao Zhang Yuan Kun Lee Wei Chen a 2020Engineering2020,6,4:7
5Stabilizing effects of atomic Ti doping on high-voltage high-nickel layered oxide cathode for lithium-ion rechargeable batteries显示文摘High-voltage high-nickel lithium layered oxide cathodes show great application prospects to meet the ever-increasing demand for further improvement of the energy density of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)mainly due to their high output capacity.However,severe bulk structural degradation and undesired electrode-electrolyte interface reactions seriously endanger the cycle life and safety of the battery.Here,2 mol%Ti atom is used as modified material doping into LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2O2)(NCM)to reform LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.18)Ti_(0.02)O_(2)(NCM-Ti)and address the long-standing inherent problem.At a high cut-off voltage of 4.5 V,NCM-Ti delivers a higher capacity retention ratio(91.8%vs.82.9%)after 150 cycles and a superior rate capacity(118 vs.105 mAh·g^(-1))at the high current density of 10 C than the pristine NCM.The designed high-voltage full battery with graphite as anode and NCM-Ti as cathode also exhibits high energy density(240 Wh·kg^(-1))and excellent electrochemical performance.The superior electrochemical behavior can be attributed to the improved stability of the bulk structure and the electrode-electrolyte interface owing to the strong Ti-O bond and no unpaired electrons.The in-situ X-ray diffraction analysis demonstrates that Ti-doping inhibits the undesired H2-H3 phase transition,minimizing the mechanical degradation.The ex-situ TEM and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy reveal that Ti-doping suppresses the release of interfacial oxygen,reducing undesired interfacial reactions.This work provides a valuable strategic guideline for the application of high-voltage high-nickel cathodes in LIBs.Yong Cheng Yan Sun Changting Chu Limin Chang Zhaomin Wang Dongyu Zhang Wanqiang Liu Zechao Zhuang Limin Wang 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:5
6Uranium sorption on oxyhydroxide minerals by surface complexation and precipitation显示文摘During the chemical weathering of the uranium mill tailings,released uranium could be immobilized by the newly formed secondary minerals such as oxyhydroxides.A deeper understanding of the interaction between uranium and common oxyhydroxides under environmental conditions is necessary.In this work,uranium sorption behaviors on Al-,Mn-and Fe-oxyhydroxide minerals(boehmite,manganite,goethite,and lepidocrocite)were investigated by batch experiments.Results showed that the uranium sorption on Al-oxyhydroxide behaved significantly differently from the other three minerals.The sorption edge of the Mn-and Fe-oxyhydroxides located around pH 5,while the sorption edge of boehmite shifted about 1.5 pH unit to near neutral.The sorption isotherms of uranium on manganite,goethite and lepidocrocite at pH 5.0 could be well fitted by the Langmuir model.Instead of surface complexation,sorption on boehmite happened mainly by uranium-bearing carbonates and hydroxides precipitation as illustrated by the characterization results.Both carbonate and phosphate strongly affected the uranium sorption behavior.The removal efficiency of uranium by boehmite exceeded 98%after three sorption-desorption cycles,indicating it may be a potential material for uranium removal and recovery.Jingyi Wang Wanqiang Zhou Yanlin Shi Yao Li Dongfan Xian Ning Guo Chunli Liu 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,7:3
7Novel smart supramolecular metallo-hydrogel that could selectively recognize and effectively remove Pb^(2+) in aqueous solution显示文摘A series of novel and simple ligands based on a biscarboxyl-functionalized benzimidazole derivative were synthesized.The experiments showed that the ligand L2 as a low molecular weight(LMW) hydrogelator could form stable metallo-hydrogels in the presence of up to 0.3 equiv.of lead ions.The metallo-hydrogels were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopic techniques.When the molar ratio of L2:Pb2+ was in the range of 1:0.3 to 1:0.5 a translucent gel was produced.When the L2:Pb2+ molar ratio was higher than 1:0.5 the resulting gel tended to be opaque.The morphologies of these metallo-hydrogels were L2/Pb ratio dependent,ranging from worm-like to rod-shaped and nanofibrous.The FT-IR and X-ray diffraction(XRD) studies revealed that L2-Pb complexation was the main driving force for the formation of the metallo-hydrogels.In addition,these metallo-hydrogels exhibited outstanding thermostability and thermoreversibility,and displayed a reversible sol-gel transition induced by changes in pH and EDTA concentration.Importantly,ligand L2 showed an excellent capacity for the removal of Pb 2+ in aqueous solution through the formation of metallo-hydrogels.At a L2:Pb molar ratio of 1:0.5 and below,the concentration of residual Pb2+ was as low as 7.6×10-5 mol/L in aqueous solution,and the removal ratio was as high as 95.4%.These results demonstrate that multi-channel responsive smart metallo-hydrogels have the potential to be widely applied in materials science,and might provide the basis for lead pollution capture and removal.WEI TaiBao DANG JianPeng LIN Qi YAO Hong LIU Yong ZHANG WanQiang MING JianJun ZHANG YouMing 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,12:3
8Zircon U-Pb geochronology, Hf isotopic composition, and geological implications of the Neoproterozoic meta-sedimentary rocks in Suizhou-Zaoyang area, the northern Yangtze Block显示文摘Suizhou-Zaoyang area is located in the southern Qinling-Tongbai-Dabie Orogen, China. A combined research on U-Pb ages and Lu-Hf isotopes for detrital zircons from three meta-sedimentary rocks in the Wudang Group is reported. The upper Wudang Group has a major age population of ca. 750 Ma and a sub-major of ca. 860 Ma. But the lower part only yields one age peak at ca. 2.03 Ga. In situ Lu-Hf analyses of the young age group of ca. 750 Ma for zircons from the upper Wudang Group yield an average εHf(t) value of ?8.6 and two-stage Hf model ages(TDM2) from 1837 to 2230 Ma, respectively. However, zircons from the lower Wudang Group give an average εHf(t) value of 4.5 and TDM1 of 2220±22 Ma, close to the timing of zircon crystallization. Thus, it is suggested that, in the study area, the continental crust grew during the middle Paleoproterozoic and reworked during the middle Neoproterozoic, which shows the affinity to the Dabie Orogen. In addition, in the lower Wudang Group, two metamorphic zircon ages of 1992±91 and 1999±61 Ma are consistent with that of the middle Paleoproterozoic metamorphism event in the northern Yangtze Block, which may represent the assemblage of the Columbia Supercontinent. 13Waste-yeast biomass as nitrogen/phosphorus sources and carbon template:Environment-friendly synthesis of N,P-Mo_(2)C nanoparticles on porous carbon matrix for efficient hydrogen evolution显示文摘Tailor-made advanced electrocatalysts with high active and stable for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)play a key role in the development of hydrogen economy.Herein,a N,P-co-doped molybdenum carbide confined in porous carbon matrix(N,P-Mo_(2)C/NPC)with a hierarchical structure is prepared by a resources recovery process.The N,P-Mo_(2)C/NPC compound exhibits outstanding HER activity with a low overpotential of 84 mV to achieve 10 mA/cm^(2),and excellent stability in alkaline media.The electrochemical measurements confirm that the enhanced HER activity of N,P-Mo_(2)C/NPC is ascribe to the synergy of N,P-codoped and porous carbon matrix.Density functional theory calculations further reveal that the electron density of active sites on Mo_(2)C can be regulated by the N/P doping,leading to optimal H adsorption strength.In this work,the proof-of-concept resource utilization,a microorganism derived molybdenum carbide electrocatalyst for HER is fabricated,which may inaugurate a new way for designing electrocatalysts by the utilization of solid waste.Jiayuan Yu Wanqiang Yu Bin Chang Xiao Li Jin Jia Dufu Wang Zhinian Xu Xiaoli Zhang Hong Liu Weijia Zhou 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,6:1
14Green and large-scale production of ammonia:Laser-driven pyrolysis of nitrogen-enriched biomass显示文摘As a vital chemical,ammonia(NH3)plays an irreplaceable role in many fields such as chemical synthesis and energy storage.Green renewable biomass can be converted into biofuels,but its nitrogen resources are underused throughout.Laser-driven pyrolysis is envisaged to debuts as a bridge to connect them to realize the direct conversion from nitrogen-rich biomass into ammonia.The pulsed laser-induced local-transient thermal effect recognized the biological nitrogen resources conversion,such as cheap and plentiful yeasts,to small gaseous molecules and achieved spectacular ammonia production rate up to 260.4 mg/h,an order of magnitude higher performance than thermochemical ammonia synthesis.Simultaneously,the tiny hot point generated by a low-energy laser(20W)guarantees the whole ammonia synthesis reaction systemis in amild environment of low temperature and normal pressure.Additionally,the remaining solid residue after laser-driven pyrolysis also can be further exploited as a highly active catalyst for electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(NIRR).Yue Li Tong Wu Yujie Wang Jiawei Li Wanqiang Yu Guixiang Zhang Bin Chang Lili Zhao Hong Liu Weijia Zhou 2023SusMat2023,3,4:1

17Quantitative Assessment of the Relative Contributions of Climate and Human Factors to Net Primary Productivity in the Ili River Basin of China and Kazakhstan显示文摘It is necessary to quantitatively study the relationship between climate and human factors on net primary productivity(NPP)inorder to understand the driving mechanism of NPP and prevent desertification.This study investigated the spatial and temporal differentiation features of actual net primary productivity(ANPP)in the Ili River Basin,a transboundary river between China and Kazakhstan,as well as the proportional contributions of climate and human causes to ANPP variation.Additionally,we analyzed the pixel-scale relationship between ANPP and significant climatic parameters.ANPP in the Ili River Basin increased from 2001 to 2020 and was lower in the northeast and higher in the southwest;furthermore,it was distributed in a ring around the Tianshan Mountains.In the vegetation improvement zone,human activities were the dominant driving force,whereas in the degraded zone,climate change was the primary major driving force.The correlation coefficients of ANPP with precipitation and temperature were 0.322 and 0.098,respectively.In most areas,there was a positive relationship between vegetation change,temperature and precipitation.During 2001 to 2020,the basin’s climatic change trend was warm and humid,which promoted vegetation growth.One of the driving factors in the vegetation improvement area was moderate grazing by livestock.LIU Liang GUAN Jingyun HAN Wanqiang JU Xifeng MU Chen ZHENG Jianghua 2022Chinese Geographical Science2022,32,6:1
