| 1 | Review on photocatalytic and electrocatalytic artificial nitrogen fixation for ammonia synthesis at mild conditions: Advances,challenges and perspectives显示文摘The ammonia synthesis from nitrogen and water under ambient conditions is one of the most inviting but challenging reaction routes.Although nitrogen is abundant in the atmosphere and the ammonia synthesis reaction is exothermic on the thermodynamics,the conversion of N2 to ammonia is actually hard to proceed owing to the chemical inertness and stability of N2 molecules.In industry,ammonia synthesis is carried out by the Haber-Bosch process under harsh conditions (300-500 ℃,20-30 MPa) associated with the requirement of substantial energy input and the enormous emission of greenhouse gases (e.g.,CO2).Recently,a growing number of studies on photo(electro)catalytic and electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) in aqueous solution have attracted extensive attention,which holds great promise for nitrogen fixation under room temperature and atmospheric pressure.However,the very low efficiency and ambiguous mechanism still remain as the major hurdles for the development of photochemical and electrochemical NRR systems.Here we provide an overview of the latest progresses,remaining challenges and future prospects in photocatalytic and electrocatalytic nitrogen fixation.Moreover,this review offers a helpful guidance for the reasonable design of photocatalysts and electrocatalysts towards NRR by combining theory predictions and experiment results.We hope this review can stimulate more research interests in the relatively understudied but highly promising research field of NRR. | Xiaolan Xue Renpeng Chen Changzeng Yan Peiyang Zhao Yi Hu Wenjun Zhang Songyuan Yang Zhong Jin | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,6: | 20 |

| 3 | Whole genome sequencing of 10K patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack: design, methods and baseline patient characteristics显示文摘Background and purpose Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide and the leading cause of mortality and long-term disability in China,but its underlying risk genes and pathways are far from being comprehensively understood.We here describe the design and methods of whole genome sequencing(WGS)for 10914 patients with acute ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack from the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III).Methods Baseline clinical characteristics of the included patients in this study were reported.DNA was extracted from white blood cells of participants.Libraries are constructed using qualified DNA,and WGS is conducted on BGISEQ-500 platform.The average depth is intended to be greater than 30×for each subject.Afterwards,Sentieon software is applied to process the sequencing data under the Genome Analysis Toolkit best practice guidance to call genotypes of single nucleotide variants(SNVs)and insertion-deletions.For each included subject,21 fingerprint SNVs are genotyped by MassARRAY assays to verify that DNA sample and sequencing data originate from the same individual.The copy number variations and structural variations are also called for each patient.All of the genetic variants are annotated and predicted by bioinformatics software or by reviewing public databases.Results The average age of the included 10914 patients was 62.2±11.3 years,and 31.4%patients were women.Most of the baseline clinical characteristics of the 10914 and the excluded patients were balanced.Conclusions The WGS data together with abundant clinical and imaging data of CNSR-III could provide opportunity to elucidate the molecular mechanisms and discover novel therapeutic targets for stroke. | Si Cheng Zhe Xu Yang Liu Jinxi Lin Yong Jiang Yilong Wang Xia Meng Anxin Wang Xinying Huang Zhimin Wang Guohua Chen Songdi Wu Zhengchang Jia Yongming Chen Xuerong Qiu Jun Wu Binbin Song Weizhong Ji Zhongping An Wenjun Xue Lili Zhao Yu Geng Hongyan Li Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,2: | 8 |
| 4 | Substantial transition to clean household energy mix in rural China显示文摘The household energy mix has significant impacts on human health and climate,as it contributes greatly to many health-and climate-relevant air pollutants.Compared to the well-established urban energy statistical system,the rural household energy statistical system is incomplete and is often associated with high biases.Via a nationwide investigation,this study revealed high contributions to energy supply from coal and biomass fuels in the rural household energy sector,while electricity comprised∼20%.Stacking(the use of multiple sources of energy)is significant,and the average number of energy types was 2.8 per household.Compared to 2012,the consumption of biomass and coals in 2017 decreased by 45%and 12%,respectively,while the gas consumption amount increased by 204%.Increased gas and decreased coal consumptions were mainly in cooking,while decreased biomass was in both cooking(41%)and heating(59%).The time-sharing fraction of electricity and gases(E&G)for daily cooking grew,reaching 69%in 2017,but for space heating,traditional solid fuels were still dominant,with the national average shared fraction of E&G being only 20%.The non-uniform spatial distribution and the non-linear increase in the fraction of E&G indicated challenges to achieving universal access to modern cooking energy by 2030,particularly in less-developed rural and mountainous areas.In some non-typical heating zones,the increased share of E&G for heating was significant and largely driven by income growth,but in typical heating zones,the time-sharing fraction was<5%and was not significantly increased,except in areas with policy intervention.The intervention policy not only led to dramatic increases in the clean energy fraction for heating but also accelerated the clean cooking transition.Higher income,higher education,younger age,less energy/stove stacking and smaller family size positively impacted the clean energy transition. | Guofeng Shen Rui Xiong Yanlin Tian Zhihan Luo Bahabaike Jiangtulu Wenjun Meng Wei Du Jing Meng Yuanchen Chen Bing Xue Bin Wang Yonghong Duan Jia Duo Fenggui Fan Lei Huang Tianzhen Ju Fenggui Liu Shunxin Li Xianli Liu Yungui Li Mu Wang Ying Nan Bo Pan Yanfang Pan Lizhi Wang Eddy Zeng Chao Zhan Yilin Chen Huizhong Shen Hefa Cheng Shu Tao | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,7: | 4 |

| 7 | MRI and Transvaginal Ultrasound Findings of Atypical Polypoid Adenomyoma: A Case Report显示文摘Atypical polypoid adenomyoma(APA)is an uncommon type of polypoid characterized by fibroid stroma and endometrial glands.It occurs mostly in premenopausal women and rarely in postmenopausal women with irregular vaginal bleeding.In our current case,a 76-year-old woman presented with irregular vaginal bleeding.The final pathological diagnosis of the mass was APA.APA is not easy to diagnose before surgery.On the one hand,there was no obvious particularity in imaging features and clinical features,especially for uncomfortably identifying endometrial cancer.On the other hand,APA has a pedicle,attaching to any part of the uterine cavity,which can cause pseudocoel between the mass with the uterine cavity wall.So,when it comes to getting the pathological tissue in the absence of hysteroscopy,it is easy to access to the pseudocoel and obtain endometrial tissue rather than the pathological tissue of the mass.Therefore,preoperative imaging examination is of great significance diagnosis way of thinking to clinicians for APA.In the meantime,pathological tissue of APA can be obtained by hysteroscopy in visual conditions. | Ya Tan Xue Hu Xin Song Wenjun Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2022,37,1: | 3 |
| 8 | Coil-levitated hybrid generator for mechanical energy harvesting and wireless temperature and vibration monitoring显示文摘The development of wireless monitoring is currently restricted by the short lifetime of batteries,requiring frequent replacement.Utilization of abundant mechanical energy from the surrounding environment has attracted increasing attention in real-time monitoring.Herein,a coil-levitated hybrid generator was developed for the efficient harvesting of mechanical energy from mechanical motion.The novel coil-levitated structure adapted to the metal and magnetic environment.The output currents were systematically analyzed at different operation modes based on the unique combination of triboelectrification,electromagnetic induction,and piezoelectric effect.Under the excitation of vibration frequency and amplitude of 8 Hz and 5 mm respectively,the as-constructed triboelectric nanogenerator delivered a peak power density of 11.40 W/m3 at 10 MΩ.Meanwhile,the middle electromagnetic part and bottom piezoelectric generator provided peak power densities of 6.97 and 79.93 W/m2 at 10000Ω,respectively.More importantly,the battery charging experiment was verified,in which a 30 mA h Li-ion battery can be charged from 2.57 to 3.27 V in about 90 min.In sum,a self-powered temperature and vibration monitoring system was successfully developed based on hybrid generator,promising for realizing wireless monitoring of mechanical equipment without any external power supply. | XUE XiaoBin ZHANG ZengXing WU Bin HE ShanShan WANG Qiang ZHANG WenJun BI RuiYu CUI Juan ZHENG YongQiu XUE ChenYang | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,6: | 2 |

| 12 | FoxM1 affects adhesive,migratory,and invasive abilities of human retinoblastoma Y-79 cells by targeting matrix metalloproteinase 2显示文摘Forkhead box protein M1(FoxM1)is an important transcription factor involved in various pathological processes including tumor metastasis.The changes of adhesive,migratory,and invasive abilities are considered as crucial events in tumor metastasis progression.In this study,we aimed to investigate the correlation between FoxM1 and retinoblastoma(Rb)metastasis and to explore the detailed mechanism.Wound healing,cell adhesion,and invasion assays showed that FoxM1 overexpression induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition in Y-79 cells and inhibited adhesion and subsequently promoted metastasis of Y-79 cells,while FoxM1 knockdown showed the opposite effects.A luciferase reporter assay and chromatin immunoprecipitation assay provided evidence that FoxM1 promoted matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP2)transcription by directly binding to and promoting MMP2 promoter.MMP2 knockdown by siRNA transfection attenuated cell metastasis of Y-79 cells induced by FoxM1 overexpression.Furthermore,the FoxM1-binding site mapped between-1167 and-1161 bp of the MMP2 promoter was identified.Our results suggested that the FoxM1-MMP2 axis plays an important role in Rb metastasis,which may be a novel target for designing therapeutic regimen to control Rb metastasis. | Xue Zhu Mengxi Yu Ke Wang Wenjun Zou Ling Zhu | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,3: | 1 |

However, for now it is still lack of effective approaches for constructing nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks with ordered orientations and high quality. Herein, we report the controlled growth of Bi2S3 semiconductor nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks with well-aligned directions and high crystalline degree by utilizing the proportional lattice match between nanowires and substrates. Taking advantages of the “tip-to-stem splice” assembly of individual nanowires, the precise orientation alignments of Bi2S3 semiconductor nanowire bifurcated junctions and crosslinked networks were successfully realized. The controlled growth mechanism and structural evolution process have been elucidated by detailed atomic structure characterizations and modeling. The highly crystal quality and direct energy bandgap of as-assembled photodetectors based on individual bismuth sulfide nanowires enabled high photoresponsivity and fast switch time under light illumination. The three-terminal devices based on nanowire bifurcated junctions present rapid carrier transport across the junction. The flexible photodetectors based on nanowire crosslinked networks show very minimal decay of photocurrent after long-term bending test. | 15 | Vapor phase epitaxy of PbS single-crystal films on water-soluble substrates and application to photodetectors显示文摘Lead sulfide(PbS),a typical functional semiconductor material,has attracted serious attention due to its great potential in optoelectronics applications.However,controllable growth of PbS single-crystal film still remains a great challenge.Here,we report heteroepitaxial growth of large-scale highly crystalline PbS films on alkali salt(NaCl and KCl)substrates via chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Structural characterizations demonstrate that the as-grown PbS films exhibit an atomically sharp interface with the underlying substrates.The epitaxial relationships between the epilayers and substrates were determined to be PbS(100)//NaCl(100)or KCl(100),PbS[010]//NaCl[010]or KCl[010].Owing to the high solubility of alkali salt,the epitaxial PbS films can be rapidly released from the underlying substrates and transferred to other substrates of interest while maintaining good integrity and crystallinity,the process of which is particularly attractive in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics.Furthermore,photodetectors based on the transferred PbS films were fabricated,exhibiting a high photoresponsivity of 7.5 A/W,a detectivity of 1.44×10^(12)Jones,and a rapid response time of approximately 0.25 s.This work sheds light on the batch production,green transfer,and optoelectronic application of PbS films. | Yifan Wang Jing Xia Xuanze Li Fan Ru Xue Chen Ze Hua Ruiwen Shao Xuecong Wang Wenjun Zhang Chun-Sing Lee Xiangmin Meng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 1 |

| 20 | Effect of different drying methods on the amino acids,α-dicarbonyls and volatile compounds of rape bee pollen显示文摘The significant demand for high quality food has motivated us to adopt appropriate processing methods to improve the food nutritional quality and flavors.In this study,the effects of five drying methods,namely,pulsed vacuum drying(PVD),freeze drying(FD),infrared drying(IRD),hot-air drying(HAD)and sun drying(SD)on free amino acids(FAAs),α-dicarbonyl compounds(α-DCs)and volatile compounds(VOCs)in rape bee pollen(RBP)were determined.The results showed that FD significantly released the essential amino acids(EAAs)compared with fresh samples while SD caused the highest loss.Glucosone was the dominantα-DCs in RBP and the highest loss was observed after PVD.Aldehydes were the dominant volatiles of RBP and SD samples contained more new volatile substances(especially aldehydes)than the other four drying methods.Comprehensively,FD and PVD would be potential methods to effectively reduce the quality deterioration of RBP in the drying process. | Yanxiang Bi Jiabao Ni Xiaofeng Xue Zidan Zhou Wenli Tian Valérie Orsat Sha Yan Wenjun Peng Xiaoming Fang | 2024 | Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1: | 0 |
