| 4 | EFFECT OF ANNEALING ON DAMPING CAPACITIES OF AS-CAST ZA27 ALLOY显示文摘ZA27 alloy was prepared by casting with permanent mold and then annealed at 250℃ for 1-4h. The damping capacity of the alloy was measured using a testing apparatus based on the cantilever beam technique. It was found that the as-cast ZA27 alloy possesses high damping capacity with the value of 1.3 × 10-3 at 320Hz. After annealed at 250℃ for 1h, the damping capacity decreases to 1.1 × 10-3 and then remains constant even when the annealing time is increased to 4h. The microstructure of the as-cast ZA27 alloy consists of large dendrites of Al-rich primary (?)-phases, eutectoid (?) and nonequilibrium eutectic phases (?). After annealing at 250℃ for 1h, the (?)phase disappears due to dissolution into the matrix, and the spacing between the flakes of eutectoid increases. The further increase in the annealing time has little effect on the spacing. The damping mechanism of the alloy was discussed considering the thermoelastic damping and defect damping. The value of thermoelastic damping accounts only for 7%-8% in the overall damping in cantilever beam damping measurements and the damping capacity of the ZA27 alloy came mainly from defect damping. | Z.M. | 5 | STRUCTURAL EVOLUTION OF UNDERCOOLED SINGLE-PHASE Ni-2wt%Pb MONOTECTIC ALLOY显示文摘The structural evolution of undercooled single-phase Ni-2wt%Pb monotectic alloy was systematically investigated by using the method of molten glass denucleating combined with superheating cycle. Within the achieved undercooling range e of 22 to 280K, the solidification structure undergoes three changes at 22K, 88K and 187K, respectively. With the increase of undercooling, common dendrites, the first class granular grains, nudercooled dendrites and the second class granular grains come out one after the other. Analytical results show that the granulation mechanism of the first class granular grains is owing to dendrite remelting and recrystallization, and the second is owing to dendrite break-op and recrystallization. | H.X. | 10 | Synthesis and Characterization of Tb-incorporated Apatite Nano-scale Powders显示文摘Nano-scale Tb-incorporated apatite (nano-Tb-AP) particles with different Tb contents (Tb/(Tb+Ca)) of 0%, 5%, 10% and 20% were synthesized through a simple wet chemical method in this study. The crystal structure, thermal stabilities, chemical groups, crystal morphologies and crystal sizes of the nano-Tb-AP particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), respectively. It was found that lattice constants, particle sizes, crystalline and thermal stability varied with the doped Tb contents. With the increasing of Tb content, the lattice constants, particle size, length/diameter ratio, crystalline and thermal stability of nano-Tb-AP gradually decrease. Especially, almost all the 20%Tb-AP nano particles had been decomposed at 1200 C while only a few of the decomposed products (β-TCP) were detected in the Tb-free nano apatite powders. This kind of nano-scale Tb-incorporated apatite exhibits an extremely potential clinic application because it integrates both the excellent biological functions of Tb element and apatite in human body. | L.J. | 11 | Inhibition of Electromigration in Eutectic SnBi Solder Interconnect by Plastic Prestraining显示文摘Plastic prestraining was applied to a solder interconnect to introduce internal defects such as dislocations in order to investigate the interaction of dislocations with electromigration damage. Above a critical prestrain, Bi interfacial segregation to the anode, a clear indication of electromigration damage in SnBi solder interconnect, was effectively prevented. Such an inhibiting effect is apparently contrary to the common notion that dislocations often act as fast diffusion paths. It is suggested that the dislocations introduced by plastic prestraining acted as sinks for vacancies in the early stage of the electromigration process, but as the vacancies accumulated at the dislocations, climb of those dislocations prompted recovery of the deformed samples under current stressing, greatly decreasing the density of dislocation and vacancy in the solder, leading to slower diffusion of Bi atoms. | X.F.
