1Changes in rice cropping systems in the Poyang Lake Region, China during 2004-2010显示文摘Rice cropping systems not only characterize comprehensive utilization intensity of agricultural resources but also serve as the basis to enhance the provision services of agro-ecosystems.Yet,it is always affected by external factors,like agricultural policies.Since 2004,seven consecutive No.1 Central Documents issued by the Central Government have focused on agricultural development in China.So far,few studies have investigated the ef-fects of these policies on the rice cropping systems.In this study,based upon the long-term field survey information on paddy rice fields,we proposed a method to discriminate the rice cropping systems with Landsat data and quantified the spatial variations of rice cropping systems in the Poyang Lake Region(PLR),China.The results revealed that:(1) from 2004 to 2010,the decrement of paddy rice field was 46.76 km2 due to the land use change.(2) The temporal dynamics of NDVI derived from Landsat historical images could well characterize the temporal development of paddy rice fields.NDVI curves of single cropping rice fields showed one peak,while NDVI curves of double cropping rice fields displayed two peaks an-nually.NDVI of fallow field fluctuated between 0.15 and 0.40.NDVI of the flooded field during the transplanting period was relatively low,about 0.20±0.05,while NDVI during the period of panicle initiation to heading reached the highest level(above 0.80).Then,several temporal windows were determined based upon the NDVI variations of different rice cropping systems.(3) With the spatial pattern of paddy rice field and the NDVI threshold within optimum tem-poral windows,the spatial variation of rice cropping systems was very obvious,with an in-creased multiple cropping index of rice about 20.2% from 2004 to 2010.The result indicates that agricultural policies have greatly enhanced the food provision services in the PLR,China.LI Peng FENG Zhiming JIANG Luguang LIU Yujie XIAO Xiangming 2012Journal of Geographical Sciences2012,22,4:23
2Enabling an intrinsically safe and high-energy-density 4.5 V-class Li-ion battery with nonflammable electrolyte显示文摘Developing nonflammable electrolyte with a wide electrochemical window has become an urgent demand for high-energy-density and high-safe lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Herein,a fluorinated nonflammable phosphate electrolyte is developed to construct a safe 4.5 V-class LIB(Si-SiC-C/0.35Li2MnO3-0.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2).The proposed fluorinated phosphate electrolyte,0.8 M LiPF6/tris(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)phosphate(TFEP)+5 vol%fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)+5 vol%vinylene carbonate(VC),is not only completely nonflammable but also exhibits excellent oxidative/reductive stability on 0.35Li2MnO30.65LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode and Si-SiC-C anode.The in situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy proved that TFEP-based electrolyte does not decompose into gases but forms a high-quality electrode-electrolyte interface on cathode surface at high working potential.The 4.5 V-class LIBs using 0.8 M LiPF6 TFEP-based nonflammable electrolyte shed some light on potential application for high-safe and low-cost larger-scale energy storage.Ziqi Zeng Xingwei Liu Xiaoyu Jiang Zhenjie Liu Zhangquan Peng Xiangming Feng Weihua Chen Dingguo Xia Xinping Ai Hanxi Yang Yuliang Cao 2020InfoMat2020,2,5:6
3Internal short circuit evaluation and corresponding failure mode analysis for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Internal short circuit(ISC)is the major failure problem for the safe application of lithium-ion batteries,especially for the batteries with high energy density.However,how to quantify the hazard aroused by the ISC,and what kinds of ISC will lead to thermal runaway are still unclear.This paper investigates the thermal-electrical coupled behaviors of ISC,using batteries with Li(Ni_(1/3)CO_(1/3)Mn_(1/3))O_(2) cathode and composite separator.The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of customized battery that has no LiPF6 salt is utilized to standardize the resistance of ISC.Furthermore,this paper compares the thermal-electrical coupled behaviors of the above four types of ISC at different states-of-charge.There is an area expansion phenomenon for the aluminum-anode type of ISC.The expansion effect of the failure area directly links to the melting and collapse of separator,and plays an important role in further evolution of thermal runaway.This work provides guidance to the development of the ISC models,detection algorithms,and correlated countermeasures.Lishuo Liu Xuning Feng Christiane Rahe Weihan Li Languang Lu Xiangming He Dirk Uwe Sauer Minggao Ouyang 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10:5

5Facile synthesis of hierarchical Na2Fe(SO4)2@rGO/C as high-voltage cathode for energy density-enhanced sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Fe-based sulfates are ideal cathode candidates for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) owing to their high operating voltage and low cost but suffer from the nature of poor power performance. Herein, a hierarchical porous Na2Fe(SO4)2@reduced graphene oxide/carbon dot(Na2Fe(SO4)2@rGO/C) with low carbon content(4.12 wt%) was synthesized via a facile homogeneous strategy benefiting for engineering application,which delivers excellent sodium storage performance(high voltage plateau of 3.75 V, 85 m Ah g-1 and330 Wh kg-1 at 0.05 C;5805 W kg-1 at 10 C) and high Na+diffusion coefficient(1.19 × 10-12 cm2 s-1).Moreover, the midpoint voltage of assembled full cell could reach 3.0 V. The electron transfer and reaction kinetics are effectively boosted since the nanoscale Na2Fe(SO4)2 is supported by a robust crosslinked carbon matrix with rGO sheets and carbon dots. The slight rGO sheets sufficiently enhance the electron transfer like a current collecter and restrain the aggregation, as well as ensure smooth ion channels. Meanwhile, the carbon dots in the whole space connect with Na2Fe(SO4)2 and help rGO to promote the conductivity of the electrode. 6Carbon coated ultrasmall anatase TiO_2 nanocrystal anchored on N,S-RGO as high-performance anode for sodium ion batteries显示文摘Anatase TiO_2 has been investigated as one of the most promising anode materials for sodium ion batteries(SIBs)with low cost and high theoretical capacity.Herein,a composite material of TiO_2 /N,S-RGO@C with carbon coated ultrasmall anatase TiO_2 anchored on nitrogen and sulfur co-doped RGO matrix was successfully prepared by a rational designed process.The composite structure exhibited ultrasmall crystal size,rich porous structure,homogeneous heteroatoms doping and thin carbon coating,which synergistically resulted in elevated electron and ion transfer.The anode exhibited high rate capacities with good reversibility under high rate cycling.The carbon coating was investigated to be effective to prevent active material falling and lead to long term cycling performance with a high capacity retention of 181 m Ah g^(à1)after 2000cycles at 2 C.Kinetic studies were carried out and the results revealed that the superior performance of the composite material were derived from the decreased charge transfer resistance and elevated ion diffusion.Results suggested that the TiO_2 /N,S-RGO@C composite is a promising anode material for sodium ion batteries.Lingfei Zhao Tong Tang Weihua Chen Xiangming Feng Liwei Mi 2018Green Energy & Environment2018,3,3:2

8Identification of candidate soil microbes responsible for small-scale heterogeneity in strawberry plant vigour显示文摘Studies were conducted to identify candidate soil microbes responsible for observed differences in strawberry vigour at a small spatial scale, which was not associated with visual disease symptoms. Samples were obtained from the soils close to the rhizosphere of ‘big' and ‘small' plants from small plots which exhibited large local heterogeneity in plant vigour. A metabarcoding approach was used to profile bacterial and fungal compositions, using two primer pairs for 16 S ribosomal RNA genes(16S r DNA) and one for the fungal internal transcribed spacer(ITS) region. Of the two 16 S r DNA primer sets, the 341F/805 R resulted in sequences of better quality. A total 28 operational taxonomic units(OTUs) had differential relative abundance between samples from ‘big' and ‘small' plants. However, plausible biological explanation was only possible for three fungal OTUs. Two were possible phytopathogens: Verticillium spp. and Alternaria alternata although the latter has never been considered as a main pathogen of strawberry in the UK. For samples from ‘small' plants, the abundance of these OTUs was much greater than from ‘big' plants. The opposite was true for a mycorrhizal OTU. These results suggest that soil microbes related to crop production can be identified using metabarcoding technique. 10Amplicon-based metagenomics identified candidate organisms in soils that caused yield decline in strawberry显示文摘A phenomenon of yield decline due to weak plant growth in strawberry was recently observed in non-chemo-fumigated soils,which was not associated with the soil fungal pathogen Verticillium dahliae,the main target of fumigation.Amplicon-based metagenomics was used to profile soil microbiota in order to identify microbial organisms that may have caused the yield decline.A total of 36 soil samples were obtained in 2013 and 2014 from four sites for metagenomic studies;two of the four sites had a yield-decline problem,the other two did not.More than 2000 fungal or bacterial operational taxonomy units(OTUs)were found in these samples.Relative abundance of individual OTUs was statistically compared for differences between samples from sites with or without yield decline.A total of 721 individual comparisons were statistically significant–involving 366 unique bacterial and 44 unique fungal OTUs.Based on further selection criteria,we focused on 34 bacterial and 17 fungal OTUs and found that yield decline resulted probably from one or more of the following four factors:(1)low abundance of Bacillus and Pseudomonas populations,which are well known for their ability of supressing pathogen development and/or promoting plant growth;(2)lack of the nematophagous fungus(Paecilomyces species);(3)a high level of two non-specific fungal root rot pathogens;and(4)wet soil conditions.This study demonstrated the usefulness of an amplicon-based metagenomics approach to profile soil microbiota and to detect differential abundance in microbes.Xiangming Xu Thomas Passey Feng Wei Robert Saville Richard J.Harrison 2015Horticulture Research2015,2,1:1

14Curcumin co-treatment ameliorates resistance to gefitinib in drug-resistant NCI-H1975 lung cancer cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To examine whether a combinative treatment with curcumin enhances the effects of the epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKI) gefitinib on cell proliferation, clonogenic capacity and apoptosis in the drug-resistant lung cancer cell line NCI-H1975, and further investigate the molecular mechanisms involved.METHODS: NCI-H1975 cells were treated with curcumin and gefitinib alone or in combination, and cell proliferation, clonogenic capacity and apoptosis were examined using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay, clone forming experiments, and flow cytometry, respectively, while p38, extracellular regulated protein kinase(ERK)1/2, and protein kinase B(AKT)phosphorylation were examined using Western blotting.RESULTS: Compared with the effects of either agent alone, the combination of curcumin and gefitinib had a stronger suppressive effect on proliferation and the clonogenic capacity(P < 0.05), and showed an increased ability to promote apoptosis(P < 0.05) and reduce p38, ERK1/2, and AKT phosphorylation(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION: Co-treatment of curcumin and gefitinib significantly improves the ability of gefitinib to inhibit cell proliferation, suppress the clonogenic capacity and enhance apoptosis in NCI-H1975 cells,and these effects are possibly mediated via a decrease in phosphorylation of proteins in downstream pathways of the epidermal growth factor receptor.Jin Xin Wang Jue Shen Huifen Ran Ran Xu Kai Tong Xiangming Zhang Weiping Feng Li 2017Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,3:1

16In-depth investigation of the exothermic reactions between lithiated graphite and electrolyte in lithium-ion battery显示文摘Thermal runaway is a critical issue for the large application of lithium-ion batteries.Exothermic reactions between lithiated graphite and electrolyte play a crucial role in the thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries.However,the role of each component in the electrolyte during the exothermic reactions with lithiated graphite has not been fully understood.In this paper,the exothermic reactions between lithiated graphite and electrolyte of lithium-ion battery are investigated through differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and evolved gas analysis.The lithiated graphite in the presence of electrolyte exhibit three exothermic peaks during DSC test.The reactions between lithiated graphite and LiPF_(6) and ethylene carbonate are found to be responsible for the first two exothermic peaks,while the third exothermic peak is attributed to the reaction between lithiated graphite and binder.In contrast,diethylene carbonate and ethyl methyl carbonate contribute little to the total heat generation of graphite-electrolyte reactions.The reaction mechanism between lithiated graphite and electrolyte,including the major reaction equations and gas products,are summarized.Finally,DSC tests on samples with various amounts of electrolyte are performed to clarify the quantitative relationship between lithiated graphite and electrolyte during the exothermic reactions.2.5 mg of lithiated graphite (Li_(0.8627)C_(6)) can fully react with around 7.2 mg electrolyte,releasing a heat generation of 2491 J g^(-1).The results presented in this study can provide useful guidance for the safety improvement of lithium-ion batteries.Yuejiu Zheng Zhihe Shi Dongsheng Ren Jie Chen Xiang Liu Xuning Feng Li Wang Xuebing Han Languang Lu Xiangming He Minggao Ouyang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:1

20Machine-learning based ocean atmospheric duct forecasting:a hybrid model-data-driven approach显示文摘The atmospheric duct is a vital radio wave environment.Conventional methods of forecasting the atmospheric duct mainly include statistical analysis based on sounding observation data and mesoscale numerical model-based prediction.The former can provide accurate duct information but is highly dependent on the acquisition of data sets.The latter is more practical but still lacks accuracy.This paper introduces machine learning to establish a novel meteorological parameter correction model for atmospheric duct prediction.In detail,using the weather research and forecasting(WRF)model data and spatiotemporal characteristics as input,sounding data as label and extreme gradient boosting(XGBoost)model for training,the meteorological parameter correction effect is the best,i.e.,the accuracy of forecast meteorological parameters is improved by about 65.4%.Combining the mapping relationship between meteorological parameters and corrected atmospheric refractive index(CARI),and the transition mechanism of CARI to duct parameters,a new duct forecasting mechanism is proposed.Due to the high efficiency of numerical model and the accuracy of sounding data,the new duct forecasting mechanism has excellent performance.By comparing the duct forecasting results,the forecasting accuracy of the new duct forecasting model is significantly higher than that of the mesoscale model.Feng Yuting Gong Haobing Hao Xiaojing Gao Hui Guo Xiangming 2023The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2023,30,4:0
