1Clinicopathological analysis of metaplastic meningioma: report of 15 cases in Huashan Hospital显示文摘Objective: Metaplastic meningioma is a rare subtype of benign meningiomas, classified as WHO grade I with well prognosis. Here we presented our experiences on 15 cases of metaplastic meningioma, to investigate the clinicopathological features, therapies and prognosis of these cases. Methods: 15 patients underwent surgical treatment for intracranial metaplastic meningioma between 2001 and 2010 at Neurosurgery Department of Huashan Hospital, Shanghai, China. The clinical data, radiological manifestation, treatment strategy, pathological findings and prognosis of all patients were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Among the 15 cases (10 males and 5 females), the age ranged from 22 to 74 years old (the mean age was 50.67-year old). The clinical manifestations include headache, dizziness, seizure attack, vision decrease, and weakness of bilateral lower limbs. All the patients received surgical treatment, combined with radiotherapy in some cases. In the follow-up period, recurrence occurred in 2 cases, of which 1 patient died of other system complications. Conclusions: Metaplastic meningiomas are characterized by focal or widespread mesenchymal differentiation with formation of bone, cartilage, fat, and xanthomatous tissue elements. Surgical removal is the optimal therapy, and the overall prognosis is well. 2The Effect of Hydrolysis with Neutrase on Molecular Weight,Functional Properties,and Antioxidant Activities of Alaska Pollock Protein Isolate显示文摘In this study, the Alaska pollock protein isolate(APPI) was hydrolyzed by Neutrase for 20, 40, 80, 120, 160, 200, and 240 min. Hydrolysates with different molecular weights were produced and they were named as H1–H7. Furthermore, the effects of hydrolysis on the average molecular weights, functional properties(solubility, oil-holding capacities, foaming activities, and emulsifying properties), and antioxidant activities(1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, superoxide, and hydroxyl free radical-scavenging activities) were determined. It was found that when the degree of hydrolysis(DH) increased, the average molecular weights of the hydrolysates decreased significantly. The functional properties of APPI were also significantly improved. The hydrolysates of APPI exhibited better solubility, emulsifying activities, and foaming activities. Hydrolysates with low molecular weights(<1 kDa) had better solubility, oil-holding capacities, and emulsifying activities, while hydrolysates with higher molecular weights(>1 kDa) had better foaming activities. In addition, the hydrolysates exhibited excellent antioxidant properties, while the inhibition values of 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydroxyl(DPPH), superoxide, and hydroxyl free radical-scavenging activities, were 85.22%, 53.56%, and 75.00% respectively, when the concentration of the hydrolysates was 5.0 mg mL^(-1). The lower the average molecular weight was, the higher was the antioxidant activity. These results indicated that hydrolysis with Neutrase is an effective method for improving the functional and antioxidant properties of APPI. 5Cycle performance of Cu-based oxygen carrier based on a chemical-looping combustion process显示文摘The cycle life of oxygen carrier(OC) is crucial to the practical applications of chemical looping combustion(CLC). Cycle performance of Cu/SiO_2 prepared with a mechanical mixing method was evaluated based on a CLC process characterized with an added methane steam reforming step. The Cu/SiO_2 exhibited high redox reactivity in the initial cycles, while the performance degraded with cycle number. Through characterization of the degraded Cu/SiO_2, the performance degradation was mainly caused by the secondary particles' fragmentation and the fine particles' local agglomeration, which worsened the distribution and diffusion of the reactive gases in the packed bed. A regeneration method of the degraded OC based on re-granulation has been proposed, and its mechanism has been illustrated. 7Combating with extremely noisy samples in weakly supervised slot filling for automatic diagnosis显示文摘Slot filling,to extract entities for specific types of information(slot),is a vitally important modular of dialogue systems for automatic diagnosis.Doctor responses can be regarded as the weak supervision of patient queries.In this way,a large amount of weakly labeled data can be obtained from unlabeled diagnosis dialogue,alleviating the problem of costly and time-consuming data annotation.However,weakly labeled data suffers from extremely noisy samples.To alleviate the problem,we propose a simple and effective Co-WeakTeaching method.The method trains two slot filling models simultaneously.These two models learn from two different weakly labeled data,ensuring learning from two aspects.Then,one model utilizes selected weakly labeled data generated by the other,iteratively.The model,obtained by the Co-WeakTeaching on weakly labeled data,can be directly tested on testing data or sequentially fine-tuned on a small amount of human-annotated data.Experimental results on these two settings illustrate the effectiveness of the method with an increase of 8.03%and 14.74%in micro and macro f1 scores,respectively.Xiaoming SHI Wanxiang CHE 2023Frontiers of Computer Science2023,17,5:0
