1Topographic Influence on Wetland Distribution and Change in Maduo County, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, China显示文摘Accurate information on the spatial distribution and temporal change of wetlands is vital to devise effective measures for their protection. This study uses satellite images in 1994 and 2001 to assess the effects of topography and proximity to channels on wetland change in Maduo County on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, western China. In 1994 wetlands in the study area extended over 6,780.0 km2. They were distributed widely throughout the county, with a higher concentration in the south, and were especially prominent close to streams. The pattern of wetlands demonstrated a bell-shaped distribution curve with elevation, ranging over hill slopes with gradients from 0-19°, the commonest gradient being around 3°. Although the aspects of these hill slopes range over all directions, there is a lower concentration of wetlands facing east and southeast. The extent of wetlands in 2001 decreased to 6,181.1 km2. Marked spatial differentiation in the pattern of wetlands is evident, as their area increased by 1,193.3 km2 at lower elevations but decreased by 1,792.2 km2 at higher ground, resulting in a net decrease of 598.8 km2. In areas with a gradient <2° or >9° the area of wetlands remained approximately consistent from 1994-2001. Newly retained wetlands are situated in relatively flat lowland areas, with no evident preference in terms of aspect. Wetlands on north-, east- and northeast-facing hillslopes with a bearing of 1-86° were more prone to loss of area than other orientations. The altered pattern of wetland distribution from higher to lower elevation on north-facing slopes coincided with the doubling of annual temperature during the same period, suggesting that climate warming could be an important cause.Jay GAO LI Xilai Gary BRIERLEY 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,3:7
2Hydrothermal synthesis of peony-like CuO micro/nanostructures for high-performance lithium-ion battery anodes显示文摘The peony-like CuO micro/nanostructures were fabricated by a facile hydrothermal approach. The peonylike CuO micro/nanostructures about 3-5 μm in diameter were assembled by CuO nanoplates. These CuO nanoplates, as the building block, were self-assembled into multilayer structures under the action of ethidene diamine, and then grew into uniform peony-like CuO architecture. The novel peony-like CuO micro/nanostructures exhibit a high cycling stability and improved rate capability. The peony-like CuO micro/nanostructures electrodes show a high reversible capacity of 456 mAh/g after 200 cycles, much higher than that of the commercial CuO nanocrystals at a current 0.1 C. The excellent electrochemical performance of peony-like CuO micro/nanostructures might be ascribed to the unique assembly structure, which not only provide large electrode/electrolyte contact area to accelerate the lithiation reaction, but also the interval between the multilayer structures of CuO nanoplates electrode could provide enough interior space to accommodate the volume change during Li^+ insertion and de-insertion process.Rui Dang Xilai Jia Peng Wang Xiaowei Zhang Danni Wang Ge Wang 2017Chinese Chemical Letters2017,28,12:4

4In situ sulfur-doped graphene nanofiber network as efficient metal-free electrocatalyst for polysulfides redox reactions in lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘The major challenge for realistic application of Li-S batteries lies in the great difficulty in breaking through the obstacles of the sluggish kinetics and polysulfides shuttle of the sulfur cathode at high sulfur loading for continuously high sulfur utilization during prolonged charge-discharge cycles.Here we demonstrate that large percentage of sulfur can be effectively incorporated within a three-dimensional(3D)nanofiber network of high quality graphene from chemical vapor deposition(CVD),through a simple ball-milling process.While high quality graphene network provided continuous and durable channels to enable efficient transport of lithium ions and electrons,the in-situ sulfur doping from the alloying effect of ball milling facilitated desirable affinity with entire sulfur species to prevent sulfur loss and highly active sites to propel sulfur redox reactions over cycling.This resulted in remarkable rate-performance and excellent cycling stability,together with large areal capacity at very high sulfur mass loading(Specific capacity over 666 mAh g-1after 300 cycles at 0.5 C,and areal capacity above 5.2 mAh cm-2at 0.2C at sulfur loading of 8.0 mg cm-2 and electrolyte/sulfur(E/S)ratio of 8μL mg-1;and high reversible areal capacities of 13.1 m Ah cm-2 at a sulfur load of 15 mg cm-2 and E/S of 5μL mg-1).Shijie Zhang Peng Zhang Ruohan Hou Bin Li Yongshang Zhang Kangli Liu Xilai Zhang Guosheng Shao 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,8:4

6Confining sulfur in intact freestanding scaffold of yolk-shell nanofibers with high sulfur content for lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Nanostructure design holds great potential in fabricating sulfur electrodes that host a high sulfur loading and still attain high electrochemical utilization for the developing of high-energy-density lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries. In this contribution, we introduce the yolk-shell structure into a freestanding carbon nanofibers film and construct a complete hollow yolk-shell Ti O2/carbon nanofibers@void@TiN@carbon(TiO2-CNFs@void@Ti N@C) composite. With inherent double conductive network and strong adsorption capability for polysulfides, the Ti O2-CNFs@void@Ti N@C composite can not only provide sufficient electrical contact for the insulating sulfur, but also effectively entrap polysulfides for prolonged cycle life. As a result, an excellent capacity retention ratio of 60.9% after 1000 cycles at 1 C as well as a high capacity of688.5 mA h g^(-1) at 5 C rate is accomplished with the cells employing Ti O2-CNFs@void@TiN @C as a cathode substrate for sulfur. 7Experimental and Numerical Study on Co-combustion Behaviors and NO_(x) Emission Characteristics of Semi-coke and Coal in a Tangentially Fired Utility Boiler显示文摘The utilization of powdery semi-coke as a power fuel in pulverized coal-fired power plants has become a new and potential technique to consume the excess powdery semi-coke.The characteristic of low volatile results in poor combustion performance and high NO_(x) emission,and to co-fire with bituminous coal is a practical strategy to address this problem.However,the co-combustion characteristics and the inherent interaction between semi-coke and coal remain insufficiently understood.In addition,the influences of secondary air arrangement,the boiler operation load,and the fuel type on co-combustion process are still unclear,which is urgent to be further explored.In the present study,experiments and numerical simulations were jointly utilized to inquire into the co-combustion behaviors and NO_(x) emission features of semi-coke and coal.The results demonstrated that the'out-furnace method'was a suitable choice for small-capacity boiler when the proportion of semi-coke was 33%,due to the limited combinations of the semi-coke injection position.It was recommended that semi-coke was preferred to be injected from the middle layers of the furnace under the'in-furnace method'to improve the overall co-combustion performance.The critical value of the separated over fire air ratio in this study was 27.5%,over which a slight drop of carbon content in fly ash could come about.Moreover,the elevation in the proportion of separated over fire air gave rise to the significant decline of NO_(x) concentration.The constricted secondary air arrangement was preferred to be employed due to the high boiler efficiency.The separated over fire air and the surrounding air needed to maintain a wide-open degree to prevent the increase of NO_(x) emissions and the coking of nozzles.For the load reduction regulation method adopted in this study,the NO_(x) concentration first rose and then dropped,while the burnout ratio decreased obviously as the operation load was reduced.Different combinations of coal and semi-coke generated significant influences on co-combustion behaviors within the furnace.The NO_(x )generated by high-volatile fuel (bituminous coal) combustion was mainly affected by volatile-N,while the NO_(x )generated by low-volatile fuel (semi-coke) was mainly impacted by char-N.This study is of guiding significance for the efficient and clean utilization and beneficial to the large-scale application of powder semi-coke in power plants.WANG Chang’an FENG Qinqin JIN Liyan WANG Zhichao YAO Wei WANGPengqian DU Yongbo ZHANG Xilai YANG Zhongcan CHE Defu 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,4:2
8Research on the Critical Conditions for Clay Particle Release During Saline Aquifer Freshening Process显示文摘Water sensitivity phenomenon occurs during saline aquifer freshening process in seawater intrusion area, and clay particles released in the phenomenon can damage the infiltration capacity of the aquifer. In order to find out the factors and mechanisms for clay particle release, laboratory column infiltration experiments simulating saline aquifer freshening process were designed to measure the critical conditions(critical flow velocity, critical salt concentration and critical ionic strength) and force analysis for clay particle according to DLVO electric double layer theory was employed to illustrate the mechanisms for particle release. The research results showed that critical flow velocity for clay particle release is influenced by salt concentration of injecting solution. When salt concentration of injecting solution is very high, clay particles are not released, indicating that there does not exist a critical flow velocity in this situation. As salt concentration of injecting solution decreases, particles start to be released. The critical salt concentration for clay particle release is 0.052 mol L-1 in our work, which was determined by a constant-flux experiment for stepwise displacement of high concentration Na Cl solution. 13Post-treatment by an ionic tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate for improved efficiency and stability of perovskite solar cells显示文摘Interface engineering is an effective way to improve efficiency and long-term stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).Herein,an ionic compound tetrabutylammonium hexafluorophosphate(TP6)is adopted to passivate surface defects of the perovskite film.It is found that TP6 effectively reduced the surface defects,especially at the grain boundaries where the defects are abundant.Meanwhile,the exposed long alkyl chains and fluorine atoms in the TP6 enhanced the moisture stability of the perovskite film due to its strong hydrophobicity.In addition,the driving force of charge carrier separation and transport is increased by enlarged built-in potential.Consequently,the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of PSCs is significantly improved from 20.59% to 22.41%by increased open-circuit voltage(V_(oc))and fill factor(FF).The unencapsulated device with TP6 treatment exhibits better stability than the control device,and the PCE retains-80%of its initial PCE after 30 days under 15%-25%relative humidity in storage,while the PCE of the control device declines by more than 50%.Chaoqun Zhang Xiaodong Ren Xilai He Yunxia Zhang Yucheng Liu Jiangshan Feng Fei Gao Ningyi Yuan Jianning Ding Shengzhong(Frank)Liu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,1:1

15The Studies of Regional Water Circulation Patterns in the Yerqiang River Basin显示文摘Based on the characteristic of ‘one river one oasis’ in the arid areas, the Yerqiang River Basin, which is the largest irrigated area of Xinjiang, is taken as an example in this paper, and the regional water circulation pattern is investigated through the analysis of 60 groups of isotope data in the basin. From the phreatic evaporation data analysis of different soils, we study the law of phreatic evaporation, complete the research of the main consumption path of the groundwater, and improve the assessment precision of water resources. 20Phase Characteristic Analysis of Continuous Depth Air-Gun Source Wavelet显示文摘Air guns are important sources for marine seismic exploration. Far-field wavelet of air gun arrays, as a necessary parameter for pre-stack processing and source models, plays an important role during marine seismic data processing and interpretation. When an air gun fires, it generates a series of air bubbles. Similar to onshore seismic exploration, the water forms a plastic fluid near the bubble; the farther the air gun is located from the measurement, the more steady and more accurately represented the wavelet will be. In practice, hydrophones should be placed more than 100 m from the air gun; however, traditional seismic cables cannot meet this requirement. On the other hand, vertical cables provide a viable solution to this problem. This study uses a vertical cable to receive wavelets from 38 air guns and data are collected offshore Southeast Qiong, where the water depth is over 1000 m. In this study, the wavelets measured using this technique coincide very well with the simulated wavelets and can therefore represent the real shape of the wavelets.
