1Phase 1 clinical trial demonstrated that MUC1 positive metastatic seminal vesicle cancer can be effectively eradicated by modified Anti-MUC1 chimeric antigen receptor transduced T cells显示文摘Recent progress in chimeric antigen receptor-modified T-cell(CAR-T cell) technology in cancer therapy is extremely promising, especially in the treatment of patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In contrast, due to the hostile immunosuppressive microenvironment of a solid tumor, CAR T-cell accessibility and survival continue to pose a considerable challenge, which leads to their limited therapeutic efficacy. In this study, we constructed two anti-MUC1 CAR-T cell lines. One set of CAR-T cells contained SM3 single chain variable fragment(sc Fv) sequence specifically targeting the MUC1 antigen and co-expressing interleukin(IL) 12(named SM3-CAR). The other CAR-T cell line carried the SM3 sc Fv sequence modified to improve its binding to MUC1 antigen(named p SM3-CAR) but did not co-express IL-12. When those two types of CAR-T cells were injected intratumorally into two independent metastatic lesions of the same MUC1+ seminal vesicle cancer patient as part of an interventional treatment strategy, the initial results indicated no side-effects of the MUC1 targeting CAR-T cell approach, and patient serum cytokines responses were positive. 2Reconstructed index of summer monsoon dry-wet modes in East Asia for the last millennium显示文摘Monthly precipitation datasets collected at 160 stations in China as well as the monthly winds and humidity data derived from the US National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) were used to construct the relationship between six summer dry-wet modes in eastern China and the summer monsoon airflow northward advance in East Asia. A millennial series of the monsoon dry-wet index (MDWI) was reconstructed based on Wang's six summer dry-wet modes in eastern China since 950 AD. A high (low) index indicates that the strong (weak) East Asian summer monsoon airflow can reach northern (southern) China and cause above (below) normal precipitation. Interdecadal periodic variations, such as the approximate 70-year oscillation, can be found in the MDWI series. In the last millennium, northern China has experienced persistent decadal wet periods and persistent decadal dry periods. 3Application of magnetic particles modified with amino groups to adsorb copper ions in aqueous solution显示文摘A magnetic adsorbent can be easily recovered from treated water by magnetic force,without requiring further downstream treatment.In this research,amine-functionalized silica magnetite has been synthesized using N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]-ethylenediamine(TPED) as a surface modification agent.The synthesized magnetic amine adsorbents were used to adsorb copper ions in an aqueous solution in a batch system,and the maximum adsorption was found to occur at pH 5.5 ± 0.1.The adsorption equilibrium data fitted the Langmuir isotherm equation reasonably well,with a maximum adsorption capacity of 10.41 mg/g.A pseudo second-order model could best describe the adsorption kinetics,and the derived activation energy was 26.92 kJ/mol.The optimum condition to desorb Cu2+ from NH2/SiO2/Fe3O4 was provided by a solution with 0.1 mol/L HNO3.Yafen Lin Huawei Chen Kaelong Lin Boryann Chen Chyowsan Chiou 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,1:4

5Hierarchical yolk-shell structured Li-rich cathode boosting cycling and voltage stabled LIBs显示文摘Despite the high energy density of lithium-rich(Li-rich)cathodes,their implementation is hampered by the unsatisfied rate capacity and poor cycling performance accompanied with substantial voltage decay.To address these issues,the hierarchical yolk-shell structured Li_(1.2)Mn_(0.54)Ni_(0.13)Co_(0.13)O_(2)cathodes(YK-LMNCO)was proposed and synthesized through a facile glycerol assisted solvothermal approach and the following lithiation process.Benefitting from the shortened lithium diffusion lengths and the enhanced tolerance to the large volume variation upon lithium ions intercalation/de-intercalation,the unique structure reciprocates an initial coulombic efficiency of 85.8%,an outstanding capacity retention rate of 89.1%after cycling at 2.0 C for 200 cycles with a minor voltage drop,and a capacity retention rate of 93.8%after cycling at 10.0 C for 500 cycles,85.2%for 1,000 cycles.When assembled with graphite as anode,the YK-LMNCO//graphite full cell shows a remarkable capacity retention rate of 87.2%after cycling at 5.0 C for 50 cycles.Our facile strategy for constructing the yolk-shell structured Li-rich cathodes with high capacity and voltage stability sheds light on synthesizing other lithium storage materials.Yanchen Liu Yafen Chen Jing Wang Wei Wang Zhiyu Ding Leyuan Li Yang Zhang Yida Deng JunweiWu Yanan Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:3
6Extrarenal Wilms’ Tumor of the Female Genital System:A Case Report and Literature Review显示文摘Extrarenal Wilms’ Tumors (ERWTs) are rare. There have been only 25 cases of ERWT arising from the female genital system reported in the literature. In this paper, we report a 60-year-old woman with a complaint of vaginal bleeding and a polypoid mass in the uterine cavity by sonography that was demonstrated as ERWT by pathology after resection. 7Interannual and interdecadal variabilities in SST anomaly over the eastern equatorial Pacific显示文摘Abstract The global sea surface temperature (SST) anomaly data from 1950 to 1996 were used to analyze spatial characters of interdecadal SST variations. A wavelet transform was made for the equatorial eastern Pacific SST anomaly time series. Results show that there are three remarkable timescale SST variations. 130-month interdecadal variation, 57-month interannual variation and 28-month quasi2-a variation. 8Earthquake detection in the Jiangsu region, China using graphics-processing-unit-based Match & Locate and rapid earthquake association and location显示文摘Earthquake detection and location are essential in earthquake studies,which generally consists of two main classes:waveform-based and pick-based methods.To evaluate the ability of two different methods,a graphicsprocessing-unit-based Match&Locate(GPU-M&L)method and a rapid earthquake association and location(REAL)method are applied to continuous seismic data recorded by 24 digital seismic stations from Jiangsu Seismic Network during 2013 for comparison.GPU-M&L is one of waveform-based methods by waveform cross-correlations while REAL is one of pick-based method to associate arrivals of different seismic phases and locate events through counting the number of P and S picks and travel time residuals.Twenty-six templates are selected from the Jiangsu Seismic Network local catalog by using the GPU-M&L.The number of newly detected and located events is about 2.8 times more than those listed in the local catalog.We both utilize a deep-neural-network-based arrival-time picking method called PhaseNet and a shortterm/long-term average(STA/LTA)trigger algorithm for seismic phase detection and picking by applying the REAL.We then refine seismic locations using a least-squares location method(VELEST)and a high-precision relative location method(hypoDD).By applying STA/LTA and PhaseNet,1006 and 1893 events are associated and located,respectively.The newly detected events are mainly clustered and show steeply dipping fault planes.By analyzing the performance of these methods based on long-term continuous seismic data,the detected catalogs by the GPU-M&L and REAL show that the magnitudes of completeness are 1.4 and 0.8,respectively,which are smaller than 2.6 given by the local catalog.Although REAL provides improvement compared with GPU-M&L,REAL is highly dependent on phase detection and picking which is strongly affected by signal-noise ratio(SNR).Stations at southeast of the study region with low SNR may lead to few detections in the same area.Yafen Huang Shengzhong Zhang Yuejun Lv Yanzhen Li Yuting Zhang Min Liu 2020Earthquake Science2020,33,1:2
9Monsoonal oscillation revealed by the upper-troposphere water vapor band brightness temperature显示文摘The measurements of brightness temperature (BT) from the upper-troposphere water vapor channel 12 of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration polar satellites from 1979 through 1995 are used to analyze the interannual variations of the global monsoon strength. Results show that in the interannual time-sclae the BT variability in the equatorial eastern Pacific (EEP) is out of phase with the BT variabilities in other four regions, i.e. South Asia, tropical south American, two subtropical areas in the South and North Pacific. The BT interannual variation mode may be called monsoonal oscillation (MO). 12Global and China temperature changes associated with the inter-decadal variations of East Asian summer monsoon advances显示文摘The modern atmospheric observation and literatural historical drought-flood records were used to extract the inter-decadal signals of dry-wet modes in eastern China and reveal the possible relationship of global and China temperature changes associated with the East Asian summer monsoon advances.A climate pattern of 'wet-north and dry-south' in eastern China and cool period in China and globe are associated with the strong summer monsoon that can advance further to the northernmost part in the East Asian monsoon region.On the contrary,a climate pattern of 'dry-north and wet-south' in eastern China and a warm period in China and globe are associated with the weaker summer monsoon that only reaches the southern part in the region.An interdecadal oscillation with the timescale about 60 years was found dominating in both the dry-wet mode index series of the East Asian summer monsoon and the global temperature series after the secular climate states and long-term trend over inter-centennial timescales have been removed.QIAN WelHong LIN Xiang ZHU YaFen 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,30:2
13Conserved and differentiated functions of CIK receptor kinases in modulating stem cell signaling in Arabidopsis显示文摘The shoot apical meristem(SAM)and root apical meristem(RAM)act as pools of stem cells that give rise to aboveground and underground tissues and organs in higher plants,respectively.The CLAVATA3(CLV3)-WUSCHEL(WUS)negative-feedback loop acts as a core pathway controlling SAM homeostasis,while CLV3/EMBRYO SURROUNDING REGION(ESR)40(CLE40)and WUSCHEL-RELATED HOMEOBOX5(WOX5),homologs of CLV3 and WUS,direct columella stem cell fate.Moreover,CLV3 INSENSITIVE KINASES(CIKs)have been shown to be essential for maintaining SAM homeostasis,whereas whether they regulate the distal root meristem remains to be elucidated.Here,we report that CIKs are indispensable for transducing the CLE40 signal to maintain homeostasis of the distal root meristem.We found that the cik mutant roots displayed disrupted quiescent center and delayed columella stem cell(CSC)differentiation.Biochemical assays demonstrated that CIKs interact with ARABIDOPSIS CRINKLY4(ACR4)in a ligand-independent manner and can be phosphorylated by ACR4 in vitro.In addition,the phosphorylation of CIKs can be rapidly induced by CLE40,which partially depends on ACR4.Although CIKs act as conserved and redundant regulators in the SAM and RAM,our results demonstrated that they exhibit differentiated functions in these meristems.Yafen Zhu Chong Hu Yanwei Cui Li Zeng Sunjingnan Li Mingsong Zhu Fanhui Meng Shuting Huang Li Long Jing Yi Jia Li Xiaoping Gou 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,7:2
14Dipole tilt controls bow shock location and flaring angle显示文摘The dipole tilt angle has beenfound to affect Earth's bow shock.This work presents a quantitative relationship between the dipole tilt angle and the bow shock location and flaring angle.We collected a large data set of bow shock crossings from four different satellites(IMP 8,Geotail,Magion 4,and Cluster),including some recent crossings obtained during 2012-2013.The results from a statistical analysis demonstrate that:(1)the subsolar standoff distance increases but the flaring angle decreases with increasing dipole tilt angle;(2)when the dipole tilt angle changes sign from negative to positive,the dayside bow shock moves toward Earth and the shift can be as much as 2.29 R_E,during which the flaring angle increases;and(3)the shape of bow shock in the northern and southern hemispheres differs.For the northern hemisphere bow shock,with increasing positive/negative dipole tilt angle,the flaring angle increases/decreases.While for the southern hemisphere,the trend is the opposite;with increasing positive/negative dipole tilt angle,the flaring angle decreases/increases.These results are helpful for future bow shock modeling that needs to include the effects of dipole tilt angle.LU JianYong YUAN HuanZhi WANG Ming YANG YaFen 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,1:2
