| 1 | Analyses on the tectonic thermal evolution and influence factors in the deep-water Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘To reveal the tectonic thermal evolution and influence factors on the present heat flow distribution, based on 154 heat flow data, the present heat flow distribution features of the main tectonic units are first analyzed in detail, then the tectonic thermal evolution histories of 20 profiles are reestablished crossing the main deep-water sags with a structural, thermal and sedimentary coupled numerical model. On the basis of the present geothermal features, the Qiongdongnan Basin could be divided into three regions: the northern shelf and upper slope region with a heat flow of 50–70 m W/m2, most of the central depression zone of 70–85 m W/m2, and a NE trending high heat flow zone of 85–105 m W/m2 lying in the eastern basin. Numerical modeling shows that during the syn-rift phase, the heat flow increases generally with time, and is higher in basement high area than in its adjacent sags. At the end of the syn-rift phase, the heat flow in the deepwater sags was in a range of 60–85 m W/m2, while in the basement high area, it was in a range of 75–100 m W/m2. During the post-rift phase, the heat flow decreased gradually, and tended to be more uniform in the basement highs and sags. However, an extensive magmatism, which equivalently happened at around 5 Ma, has greatly increased the heat flow values, and the relict heat still contributes about 10–25 m W/m2 to the present surface heat flow in the central depression zone and the southern uplift zone. Further analyses suggested that the present high heat flow in the deep-water Qiongdongnan Basin is a combined result of the thermal anomaly in the upper mantle, highly thinning of the lithosphere, and the recent extensive magmatism. Other secondary factors might have affected the heat flow distribution features in some local regions. | 6 | Characterising the nature, evolution and origin of detachment fault in central depression belt, Qiongdongnan Basin of South China Sea: evidence from seismic reflection data显示文摘Using regional geological, newly acquired 2D and 3D seismic, drilling and well log data, especially 2D long cable seismic profiles, the structure and stratigraphy in the deep-water area of Qiongdongnan Basin are interpreted. The geometry of No.2 fault system is also re-defined, which is an important fault in the central depression belt of the deep-water area in the Qiongdongnan Basin by employing the quantitative analysis techniques of fault activity and backstripping. Furthermore, the dynamical evolution of the No.2 fault system and its controls on the central depression belt are analyzed. This study indicates that the Qiongdongnan Basin was strongly influenced by the NW-trending tensile stress field during the Late Eocene. At this time, No.2 fault system initiated and was characterized by several discontinuous fault segments, which controlled a series small NE-trending fault basins. During the Oligocene, the regional extensional stress field changed from NW-SE to SN with the oceanic spreading of South China Sea, the early small faults started to grow along their strikes, eventually connected and merged as the listric shape of the No.2 fault system as observed today. No.2 fault detaches along the crustal Moho surface in the deep domain of the seismic profiles as a large-scale detachment fault. A large-scale rollover anticline formed in hanging wall of the detachment fault. There are a series of small fault basins in both limbs of the rollover anticline, showing that the early small basins were involved into fold deformation of the rollover anticline. Structurally, from west to east, the central depression belt is characterized by alternatively arranged graben and half-graben. The central depression belt of the Qiongdongnan Basin lies at the extension zone of the tip of the V-shaped northwestern ocean sub-basin of the South China Sea, its activity period is the same as the development period of the northwestern ocean sub-basin, furthermore the emplacement and eruption of magma that originated from the mantle below the Moho surface occurred at the region between Songnan-Baodao and Changchang sags, from east to west with the early-stage spreading of the South China Sea. | 7 | Carbon-supported Fe/Co-N electrocatalysts synthesized through heat treatment of Fe/Co-doped polypyrrole-polyaniline composites for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘In this paper,we synthesized cathode catalysts(PANI-PPYR,Fe/PANI-PPYR,Co/PANI-PPYR and Fe-Co/PANI-PPYR)with high performance oxygen reduction by using a simple heat treatment process.These catalysts were fabricated by directly calcining the Fe and/or Co doped polyaniline(PANI)-polypyrrole(PPYR)composites.Their electrocatalytic activity for ORR both in acidic and in alkaline media was investigated by voltammetric techniques.Among the prepared catalysts,Co/PANI-PPYR presents the most positive ORR onset potential of 0.62 V(vs.SCE)in 0.5 mol/L H2SO4 solution or?0.09 V(vs.SCE)in 1 mol/L NaOH solution.In addition,the Co/PANI-PPYR catalyst shows the largest limiting-diffusion current density for ORR,which is 4.3 mA/cm2@0.2 V(vs.SCE)in acidic and 2.3 mA/cm2@?0.3 V(vs.SCE)in alkaline media.In acidic media,a four-electron reaction of ORR on the Co/PANI-PPYR and Fe/PANI-PPYR catalysts is more dominant than a two-electron reaction.In alkaline media,however,a four-electron and a two-electron mechanisms are co-present for the ORR on all the prepared catalysts.Co/PANI-PPYR catalyst also presents good electrocatalytic activity stability for ORR both in acidic and in alkaline media. | YI QingFeng ZHANG YuHui LIU XiaoPing YANG YaHui | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,5: | 8 |
| 8 | First record of Thalassiosira curviseriata Takano (Bacillariophyta) and its bloom in the East China Sea显示文摘A bloom caused by a diatom, Thalassiosira curviseriata Takano (Bacillariophyta), is recorded in the East China Sea for the first time in China during a red tide investigation cruise (MC2005-2) from 27 March to 12 April 2005. This bloom was developed with the competition of Chaetoceros debilis and Skeletonema spp. The highest cell density of T. curviseriata, which has reached 1.27×106 cells/dm3, was found in the surface and middle water layers of Stas ZD, ZB in the East China Sea (27.22°~29.48°N, 121.53°~122.98°E)in early spring in 2005. During the blooming period of T. curviseriata, the population with high cell density was found in the water area with temperature of 10~15 ℃ and salinity of 29.0~33.5. The percentage of the predominant species, T. curviseriata, has reached 95.8% of total diatom cells at one time in the middle water layer. The morphological characteristics of T. curviseriata, were observed with light microscope (LM) and transmission electronic microscope (TEM). The cells are 5.0~12.6 μm in diameter, connecting each other by mucilaginous thread to form spiral and curved chains. Description and LM and TEM images of T. curviseriata are presented. This paper presents a new integrated layout and topology optimization design for morphing wing driven by shape memory alloys(SMAs). By simultaneously optimizing the layout of smart actuators and topology of wing substrate, the ultimately determined configuration can achieve smooth, continuous and accurate geometric shape changes. In addition, aerodynamic analysis is carried out to compare smart morphing wing with traditional hinged airfoil. Finally, the optimized smart wing structure is constructed and tested to demonstrate and verify the morphing functionality. | 13 | Objective Evaluation Method of Steering Comfort Based on Movement Quality Evaluation of Driver Steering Maneuver显示文摘The existing research of steering comfort mainly focuses on the subjective evaluation,aiming at designing and optimizing the steering system.In the development of steering system,especially the evaluation of steering comfort,the objective evaluation methods considered the kinematic characteristics of driver steering maneuver are not proposed,which means that the objective evaluation of steering cannot be conducted with the evaluation of kinematic characteristics of driver in steering maneuver.In order to propose the objective evaluation methods of steering comfort,the evaluation of steering movement quality of driver is developed on the basis of the study of the kinematic characteristics of steering maneuver.First,the steering motion trajectories of the driver in both comfortable and certain extreme uncomfortable operation conditions are detected using the Vicon motion capture system.The operation conditions are under the restrictions of the vertical height and horizontal distance between steering wheel center and the H-point of driver,and the steering resisting torque else.Next,the movement quality evaluation of driver steering maneuver is assessed using twelve kinds of evaluation indices based on the kinematic analyses of the steering motion trajectories to propose an objective evaluation method.Finally,an integrated discomfort index of steering maneuver is proposed on the basis of the regression analysis of subjective evaluation rating and the movement quality evaluation indices,including the Jerk,Discomfort and Joint Torque indices.The test results show that the proposed integrated discomfort index gives a good fitting with the subjective evaluation of discomfort,which means it can be used to evaluate or predict the discomfort level of steering maneuver.This paper proposes an objective evaluation method of steering comfort based on the movement quality evaluation of driver steering maneuver. | YANG Yiyong LIU Yahui WANG Man JI Run JI Xuewu | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,5: | 3 |

| 15 | Controlling Effects of Tight Reservoir Micropore Structures on Seepage Ability: A Case Study of the Upper Paleozoic of the Eastern Ordos Basin, China显示文摘In this study, the types of micropores in a reservoir are analyzed using casting thin section(CTS) observation and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) experiments. The high-pressure mercury injection(HPMI) and constant-rate mercury injection(CRMI) experiments are performed to study the micropore structure of the reservoir. Nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), gas-water relative seepage, and gas-water two-phase displacement studies are performed to examine the seepage ability and parameters of the reservoir, and further analyses are done to confirm the controlling effects of reservoir micropore structures on seepage ability. The experimental results show that Benxi, Taiyuan, Shanxi, and Shihezi formations in the study area are typical ultra-low porosity and ultra-low permeability reservoirs. Owing to compaction and later diagenetic transformation, they contain few primary pores. Secondary pores are the main pore types of reservoirs in the study area. Six main types of secondary pores are: intergranular dissolved pores, intragranular dissolved pores, lithic dissolved pores, intercrystalline dissolved pores, micropores, and microfracture. The results show that reservoirs with small pore-throat radius, medium displacement pressure, and large differences in pore-throat structures are present in the study area. The four types of micropore structures observed are: lower displacement pressure and fine pores with medium-fine throats, low displacement pressure and fine micropores with fine throats, medium displacement pressure and micropores with micro-fine throats, and high displacement pressure and micropores with micro throats. The micropore structure is complex, and the reservoir seepage ability is poor in the study areas. The movable fluid saturation, range of the gas-water two-phase seepage zone, and displacement types are the three parameters that well represent the reservoir seepage ability. According to the characteristic parameters of microscopic pore structure and seepage characteristics, the reservoirs in the study area are classified into four types(Ⅰ–Ⅳ), and types Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ are the main types observed. | 16 | OstMAPKKK5, a truncated mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5, positively regulates plant height and yield in rice显示文摘Rice(Oryza sativa L.)is a major food crop worldwide.Plant height and yield are important agronomic traits of rice.Several genes regulating plant height and/or yield have been cloned.However,the molecular mechanisms coordinating plant height and yield are not fully characterized.Here,we report a novel gene,OstMAPKKK5 that encodes a truncated variant of a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 5(OsMAPKKK5)lacking an intact kinase domain.Transgenic plants overexpressing OstMAPKKK5 in indica cultivar 9311 showed increased plant height,grain length,grain width,1000-grain weight,grain number per main panicle,and yield.Real-time quantitative PCR showed that OstMAPKKK5 was widely expressed in various tissues and developmental stages.The increased plant height and yield were attributed to enlarged cell size.Overexpression of OstMAPKKK5 led to higher contents of various forms of endogenous gibberellin(GA),especially the most common active forms,GA1,GA3,GA4.We concluded that OstMAPKKK5 positively regulates plant height and yield in rice by affecting cell size,and that its underlying mechanism is based on increased endogenous GA content. | Yahui Liu Yu Zhu Xuding Xu Fan Sun Jingshui Yang Liming Cao Xiaojin Luo | 2019 | The Crop Journal2019,7,5: | 2 |
| 17 | Mapping of wheat stripe rust resistance gene Yr041133 by BSR-Seq analysis显示文摘Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici(Pst) pathotype CYR34 is widely virulent and prevalent in China.Here, we report identification of a strpie rust resistance(Yr) gene, designated Yr041133, in winter wheat line 041133. This line produced a hypersensitive reaction to CYR34 and conferred resistance to 13 other pathotypes. Resistance to CYR34 in line 041133 was controlled by a single dominant gene. Bulked segregant RNA sequencing(BSR-Seq) was performed on a pair of RNA bulks generated by pooling resistant and susceptible recombinant inbred lines. Yr041133 was mapped to a 1.7 c M genetic interval on the chromosome arm 7 BL that corresponded to a 0.8 Mb physical interval(608.9–609.7 Mb) in the Chinese Spring reference genome. | 20 | Sustainable silicon anodes facilitated via a double-layer interface engineering: Inner SiOx combined with outer nitrogen and boron co-doped carbon显示文摘Silicon-based(Si)materials are promising anodes for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)because of their ultrahigh theoretical capacity of 4200 mA h g^(−1).However,commercial applications of Si anodes have been hindered by their drastic volume variation(∼300%)and low electrical conductivity.Here,to tackle the drawbacks,a hierarchical Si anode with double-layer coatings of a SiOx inner layer and a nitrogen(N),boron(B)co-doped carbon(C-NB)outer layer is elaborately designed by copyrolysis of Si-OH structures and a H3BO_(3)-doped polyaniline polymer on the Si surface.Compared with the pristine Si anodes(7mA h g^(−1) at 0.5 A g^(−1) after 340 cycles and 340 mA h g^(−1) at 5 A g^(−1)),the modified Si-based materials(Si@SiOx@C-NB nanospheres)present su perior cycling stability(reversible 1301 mA h g^(−1) at 0.5 A g^(−1) after 340 cycles)as well as excellent rate capability(690mA h g^(−1) at 5 A g^(−1))when used as anodes in LIBs.The unique double-layer coating structure,in which the inner amorphous SiOx layer acts as a buffer matrix and the outer defect-rich carbon enhances the electron diffusion of the whole anode,makes it possible to de liver excellent electrochemical properties.These results indicate that our double-layer coating strategy is a promising approach not only for the devel opment of sustainable Si anodes but also for the design of multielement-doped carbon nanomaterials. | Jun Zhou Yao Lu Lishan Yang Wenqiang Zhu Weifang Liu Yahui Yang Kaiyu Liu | 2022 | Carbon Energy2022,4,3: | 1 |
