| 1 | Melatonin enhances radiofrequency-induced NK antitumor immunity,causing cancer metabolism reprogramming and inhibition of multiple pulmonary tumor development显示文摘Surgery is the comm on treatme nt for early lung cancer with multiple pulm onary no dules,but it is often accompanied by the problem of significant malignancy of other nodules in non-therapeutic areas.In this study,we found that a combined treatment of local rad iofreq ue ncy ablati on(RFA)and melatonin(MLT)greatly improved clinical outcomes for early lung cancer patie nts with multiple pulmonary nodules by minimizing lung function injury and reducing the probability of malignant transformation or enlargement of nodules in non-ablated areas.Mechanically,as demonstrated in an associated mouse lung tumor model,RFA not only effectively remove treated tumors but also stimulate antitumor immunity,which could inhibit tumor growth in non-ablated areas.MLT enhanced RFA-stimulated NK activity and exerted synergistic antitumor effects with RFA.Transcriptomics and proteomics analyses of residual tumor tissues revealed enhanced oxidative phosphorylation and reduced acidification as well as hypoxia in the tumor microenvironment,which suggests reprogrammed tumor metabolism after combined treatment with RFA and MLT.Analysis of residual tumor further revealed the depressed activity of MAPK,NF-kappa B,Wnt,and Hedgehog pathways and upregulated P53 pathway in tumors,which was in line with the inhibited tumor growth.Combined RFA and MLT treatment also reversed the Warburg effect and decreased tumor malignancy.These findings thus demonstrated that combined treatment of RFA and MLT effectively inhibited the malignancy of non-ablated nodules and provided an innovative non-invasive strategy for treating early lung tumors with multiple pulmonary nodules.Trial registration:www.chictr.org.cn,identifier ChiCTR2100042695,http://gffzz62a03ee25e6f4a77ho55xpq6fkx556n9u.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/showproj.aspx?proj=120931. | Ming Li Bingjie Hao Menghuan Zhang Russel J.Reiter Shumeng Lin Tiansheng Zheng Xiangyun Chen Yanbei Ren Liduo Yue Baigenzhin Abay Guojie Chen Xiao Xu Yufeng Shi Lihong Fan | 2021 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,10: | 6 |
| 2 | Impact of particle size and pH on protein corona formation of solid lipid nanoparticles:A proof-of-concept study显示文摘When nanoparticles were introduced into the biological media,the protein corona would be formed,which endowed the nanoparticles with new bio-identities.Thus,controlling protein corona formation is critical to in vivo therapeutic effect.Controlling the particle size is the most feasible method during design,and the infuence of media pH which varies with disease condition is quite important.The impact of particle size and pH on bovine serum albumin(BSA)corona formation of solid lipid nanoparticles(SLNs)was studied here.The BSA corona formation of SLNs with increasing particle size(120-480 nm)in pH 6.0 and 7.4 was investigated.Multiple techniques were employed for visualization study,conformational structure study and mechanism study,etc.'BSA corona-caused aggregation'of SLN2-3 was revealed in pH 6.0 while the dispersed state of SLNs was maintained in pH 7.4,which signifcantly affected the secondary structure of BSA and cell uptake of SLNs.The main interaction was driven by van der Waals force plus hydrogen bonding in p H 7.4,while by electrostatic attraction in pH 6.0,and size-dependent adsorption was confrmed.This study provides a systematic insight to the understanding of protein corona formation of SLNs. | Wenhao Wang Zhengwei Huang Yanbei Li Wenhua Wang Jiayu Shi Fangqin Fu Ying Huang Xin Pan Chuanbin Wu | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,4: | 3 |

| 4 | Effect of Hydrogen Reduction of Silver Ions on the Performance and Structure of New Solid Polymer Electrolyte PEI/Pebax2533/AgBF4 Composite Membranes显示文摘In this paper, the effect of hydrogen reduction of silver ions on the performance and structure of new solid polymer electrolyte polyetherimide (PEI)/Pebax2533 (Polynylon12/tetramethylene oxide block copolymer, PA12-PTMO)/AgBF4 composite membranes is investigated. For PEI/Pebax2533/AgBF4 composite membranes prepared with different AgBF4 concentration, the permeances of propylene and ethylene increase with the increase of AgBF4 concentration due to the carrier-facilitated transport, resulting in a high selectivity. But for propyl-ene/propane mixture, the mixed-gas selectivity is lower than its ideal selectivity. The hydrogen reduction strongly influences the membrane performance, which causes the decrease of propylene permeance and the increase of pro-pane permeance. With the increase of hydrogen reduction time, the membranes show a clearly color change from white to brown, yielding a great selectivity loss. | 5 | FIELD STUDY ON WIND EROSION IN THE NORTHWESTSHANXI PROVINCE显示文摘Field study on wind erosion in the hilly regions with gentle slope in the Northwest Shanxi Province has been carried out from 1983 through 1988. Based on the data observed in the field, quantitative analyses of the wind erosion and the effects of the wind-break forest are presented in this paper in detail. Most of the strong windy days occur in the period of March to May. The coincidence of drought and strong wind in the Spring days with no vegetative cover at all on the loose top soil lead to severe wind erosion in this region. The rate of soil erosion is as high as 12800 t / km2. Major characteristics of wind and other meteorological factors are given in graphs and tables. Wind-break forest reduces the wind velocity by 51. 1 %. Consequently, the amount of wind erosion is reduced by 90% and the dust content in the atmosphere is reduced by 97. 1 % in comparison with those measured in the farmland. This paper provides a preliminary summary on the result of data analyses of wind erosion on the Loess Plateau.
