| 1 | The cGAS-STING signaling in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases: Future novel target option for pharmacotherapy显示文摘The cyclic GMP-AMP synthase(cGAS)-stimulator of interferon genes(STING) signaling exert essential regulatory function in microbial-and onco-immunology through the induction of cytokines, primarily type I interferons. Recently, the aberrant and deranged signaling of the cGAS-STING axis is closely implicated in multiple sterile inflammatory diseases, including heart failure,myocardial infarction, cardiac hypertrophy, nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases, aortic aneurysm and dissection, obesity, etc. This is because of the massive loads of damage-associated molecular patterns(mitochondrial DNA, DNA in extracellular vesicles) liberated from recurrent injury to metabolic cellular organelles and tissues, which are sensed by the pathway. Also, the cGAS-STING pathway crosstalk with essential intracellular homeostasis processes like apoptosis, autophagy, and regulate cellular metabolism.Targeting derailed STING signaling has become necessary for chronic inflammatory diseases. Meanwhile, excessive type I interferons signaling impact on cardiovascular and metabolic health remain entirely elusive. In this review, we summarize the intimate connection between the cGAS-STING pathway and cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. We also discuss some potential small molecule inhibitors for the pathway. | 3 | Efficient sequential harvesting of solar light by heterogeneous hollow shells with hierarchical pores显示文摘In nature,sequential harvesting of light widely exists in the old life entity,i.e.cyanobacteria,to maximize the light absorption and enhance the photosynthesis efficiency.Inspired by nature,we propose a brand new concept of temporally-spatially sequential harvesting of light in one single particle,which has purpose-designed heterogeneous hollow multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)with porous shells composed of nanoparticle subunits.Structurally,HoMSs consist of different band-gap materials outside-in,thus realizing the efficient harvesting of light with different wavelengths.Moreover,introducing oxygen vacancies into each nanoparticle subunit can also enhance the light absorption.With the benefit of sequential harvesting of light in HoMSs,the quantum efficiency at wavelength of 400 nm is enhanced by six times compared with the corresponding nanoparticles.Impressively,using these aforementioned materials as photocatalysts;highly efficient photocatalytic water splitting is realized,which cannot be achieved by using the nanoparticle counterparts.This new concept of temporally-spatially sequential harvesting of solar light paves the way for solving the ever-growing energy demand. | Yanze Wei Jiawei Wan Nailiang Yang Yu Yang Yanwen Ma Songcan Wang Jiangyan Wang Ranbo Yu Lin Gu Lianhui Wang Lianzhou Wang Wei Huang Dan Wang | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,11: | 2 |

| 9 | Arabidopsis ROOT ELONGATION RECEPTOR KINASES negatively regulate root growth putatively via altering cell wall remodeling gene expression显示文摘Receptor-like kinases(RLKs)play key roles in regulating various physiological aspects in plant growth and development.In Arabidopsis thaliana,there are at least 223 leucine-rich repeat(LRR)RLKs.The functions of the majority of RLKs in the LRR XI subfamily were previously revealed.Only three RLKs were not characterized.Here we report that two independent triple mutants of these RLKs,named ROOT ELONGATION RECEPTOR KINASES(REKs),exhibit increased cell numbers in the root apical meristem and enhanced cell size in the elongation and maturation zones.The promoter activities of a number of Quiescent Center marker genes are significantly up-regulated in the triple mutant.However,the promoter activities of several marker genes known to control root stem cell niche activities are not altered.RNA-seq analysis revealed that a number of cell wall remodeling genes are significantly up-regulated in the triple mutant.Our results suggest that these REKs play key roles in regulating root development likely via negatively regulating the expression of a number of key cell wall remodeling genes. | Yanze Wang Weiyue Chen Yang Ou Yingying Zhu Jia Li | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,8: | 0 |

| 11 | Novel phthalimides regulating PD-1/PD-L1 interaction as potential immunotherapy agents显示文摘Programmed cell death 1(PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)have emerged as one of the most promising immune checkpoint targets for cancer immunotherapy.Despite the inherent advantages of small-molecule inhibitors over antibodies,the discovery of small-molecule inhibitors has fallen behind that of antibody drugs.Based on docking studies between small molecule inhibitor and PD-L1 protein,changing the chemical linker of inhibitor from a flexible chain to an aromatic ring may improve its binding capacity to PD-L1 protein,which was not reported before.A series of novel phthalimide derivatives from structure-based rational design was synthesized.P39 was identified as the best inhibitor with promising activity,which not only inhibited PD-1/PD-L1 interaction(IC_(50)=8.9 nmol/L),but also enhanced killing efficacy of immune cells on cancer cells.Co-crystal data demonstrated that P39 induced the dimerization of PD-L1 proteins,thereby blocking the binding of PD-1/PD-L1.Moreover,P39 exhibited a favorable safety profile with a LD_(50)>5000 mg/kg and showed significant in vivo antitumor activity through promoting CD8^(+)T cell activation.All these data suggest that P39 acts as a promising small chemical inhibitor against the PD-1/PD-L1 axis and has the potential to improve the immunotherapy efficacy of T-cells. | Chengliang Sun Yao Cheng Xiaojia Liu Gefei Wang Wenjian Min Xiao Wang Kai Yuan Yi Hou Jiaxing Li Haolin Zhang Haojie Dong Liping Wang Chenguang Lou Yanze Sun Xinmiao Yu Hongbin Deng Yibei Xiao Peng Yang | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12: | 0 |

| 13 | An error analysis and optimization method for combined measurement with binocular vision显示文摘The accurate measurement of surfaces of large aviation components is vital for the assessment of manufacturing and assembly quality of such components.To satisfy the measurement requirement of large-size components,most current researches pay more attention to combined measurement methods utilizing different measuring instruments,but the related researches on error analysis and optimization methods are not taken enough attention.This paper proposes a combined laser-assisted measurement method with feature enhancement techniques,and it also develops an error propagation model of the main factors affecting the overall measurement error in detail.Firstly,the surface of a large-size component is measured by the measurement system at multiple stations.Secondly,a control point coordinate system is established as a bridge to unify all local measurement data into the global coordinate system.To improve the overall measurement accuracy,the pixel extraction error as a key factor causing the overall measurement error is analyzed in detail.Next,the error propagation model is established,and some optimization strategies of layout for minimizing measurement error and transformation error are researched.Finally,experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.The results show that the measurement error of the proposed method reaches 0.073%and 0.14%with a 1 D standard ruler and a flat plate,respectively. | Yongkang LU Wei LIU Yang ZHANG Junqing LI Weiqi LUO Yanze ZHANG Hongwen XINGb Lei ZHANG | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,10: | 0 |
