1Mercury indicating inflow zones and ruptures along the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 earthquake fault显示文摘During the Wenchuan Fault Scientific Drilling Project,we determined the values of total mercury(HgT)and gaseous elemental mercury(GEM) from drilled cores and drilling mud,respectively.Geochemical analysis shows HgT values ranging from 0.24 to 6.45 ng/g for the Penguan complex and from 2.90 to 137.54 ng/g for T3 sediment.The average levels of HgT for the Penguan complex and T3 sediments are 1.81 ± 0.26 ng/g and23.96 ± 4.80 ng/g,respectively.Major anomalous peaks of HgT appear at depth of 614,731,993 and 1,107 m,which correspond to the long-term high seismic activity during crustal deformation in response to tectonic stresses.Gaseous elemental mercury dissolved in drilling mud was also analyzed.We found fluid inflow zones with high GEM at depths of 590-750 m,suggesting that fluid-filled ruptures exist in the LMS fault zone.It indicates that mercury provides geochemical evidence for inflow zones and ruptures/fault zones in the Wenchuan Ms 8.0 earthquake fault.Yang Duoxing Zhang Lei Liu Yaowei Ren Hongwei Xie Furen Chen Gangcai 2015Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2015,34,2:5
2The Matrix Stiffness and Physical Confinement of Hydrogel Microchannel Jointly Induce the Mesenchymal-Amoeboid Transition for Cancer Cell Migration显示文摘The migration mode transition of cancer cell enhances its invasive capability and the drug resistance,where physical confinement of cell microenvironment has been revealed to induce the mesenchymal-amoeboid transition(MAT).However,most existing studies are performed in PDMS microchannels,of which the stiffness is much higher than that of most mammalian tissues.Therefore,the amoeboid migration transition observed in these studies is actually induced by the synergistic effect of matrix stiffness and confinement.Since the stiffness of cell microenvironment has been reported to influence the cell migration in 2D substrate,the decoupling of stiffness and confinement effects is thus in need for elucidating the underlying mechanism of MAT.However,it is technically challenging to construct microchannels with physiologically relevant stiffness and channel size,where existing microchannel platforms with physiological relevance stiffness are all with>10μm channel width.Such size is too wide to mimic the physical confinement that migrating cancer cells confront in vivo,and also larger than the width of PDMS channel,in which the MAT of cancer cell was observed.Therefore,an in vitro cell migration platform,which could mimic both stiffness and confinement of the native physical microenvironment during cancer metastasis,could profoundly contribute to researches on cancer cell migration and cellular mechanotransduction.In this paper,we overcome the limitations of engineering soft materials in microscale by combining the collagen-alginate hydrogel with photolithography.This enables us to improve the accuracy of molded microchannel,and thus successfully construct a 3D microchannel platform,which matches the stiffness and width ranges of native environmental confinement that migrating cancer cells confront in vivo.The stiffness(0.3~20 kPa),confinement(channel width:3.5~14μm)and the adhesion ligand density of the microchannel can be tuned independently.Interestingly,using this platform,we observed that the migration speed of cancer cell is influenced by the synergistic effect of channel stiffness and width,and the increasing stiffness reverses the effect of channel width on the migration speed of cancer cells.In addition,MAT has a strong correlation with the channel stiffness.These findings make us reconsider the widely accepted hypothesis:physical confinement can induce MAT.Actually,this transition can only occur in stiff confined microenvironment not in soft one.For soft microchannels,the compliance of the channel walls could cause little cell/nucleus deformation,and the MAT could not be induced.To further investigate the mechanism of MAT,we developed a computational model to simulate the effect of nucleus deformation on MAT.With the model,we found that deforming the cell nuclear by decreasing the nucleus stiffness will reduce the cellmigration speed.This implies that nuclear stiffness plays an important role in the regulation of cancer migration speed and thus MAT in microchannels.The effect of channel stiffness on MAT and migration speed as observed in our experiment could partially explain previous findings reported in the literature,where the increasing matrix stiffness of tumor microenvironment promotes cancer metastasis.Our observations thus highlight the critical role of cell nuclear deformation not only in MAT,but also in regulating cellular mechanotransduction and cell-ECM interactions.This developed platform is capable of mimicking the native physical microenvironment during metastasis,providing a powerful tool for high-throughput screening applications and investigating the interaction between cancer migration and biophysical microenvironment.Meng Wang Bo Cheng Yaowei Yang Han Liu Guoyou Huang Fei Li Feng Xu 2019医用生物力学2019,34,A01:2
3High-zirconium bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility显示文摘In this paper,high-zirconium Zr66+2xAl9-x(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 25-x(x=0,1,2 at.%) bulk metallic glasses with high strength and large ductility were fabricated by copper mould casting.The effects of zirconium content on the glass-forming ability(GFA),thermal properties and mechanical properties were investigated using X-ray diffractometer(XRD),differential scanning calorimeter(DSC),and mechanical testing system in compressive and three-point bending modes,respectively.The high-zirconium BMGs show the critical diameters of 3-5 mm,the supercooled liquid region ranging from 70 K to 99 K,and the yield strength of over 1700 MPa.The Zr 70 Al 7(Ni1/3Cu2/3) 23 BMG exhibits a large compressive plastic strain up to 21% and a high notch toughness value of 60.6 MPa m 1/2.The increase in Zr content results in the decrease in GFA and thermostability,and in the improvement of plasticity under compressive and three-point bending conditions.The superior plasticity of high-zirconium BMGs is attributed to their high Poisson's ratio and small elastic modulus ratio /B.YANG YaoWei HUA NengBin LI Ran PANG ShuJie ZHANG Tao 2013Science China Chemistry2013,56,3:2

10Formation and mechanical properties of Zr-based bulk metallic glass composites with high oxygen levels显示文摘Zr-based bulk metallic glass(BMG) composites with in situ formed Y 2 O 3 particle reinforcements were synthesized by proper additions of Y to ultrahigh-oxygen-containing glass-forming alloy precursors.Microstructures,thermal stabilities,and mechanical properties of the composites were investigated.Glass formation was greatly enhanced by Y additions in the alloys and the resultant particles were homogenously distributed in the glassy matrix,allowing for the fabrication of oxide dispersion strengthened BMG composites.The compressive strength and hardness increased by 10% and 20%,respectively,with the introduction of Y 2 O 3 particles.These results are significant for the design and production of Zr-based BMGs and BMG composites with improved properties using commercial high-oxygen content raw materials under industrial conditions.LIU ZengQian YANG YaoWei LI Ran HUANG Lu ZHANG Tao 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,30:0

12Investigation on the granulation behavior of iron ore fine in a horizontal high-shear granulator显示文摘High-shear granulation is widely used in many particulate industries for its good capability to improve the size,strength and composition uniformity of powder substances.This work conducted an experimental study to investigate the granulation behavior of iron ore fine in a horizontal high-shear granulator,such as granules size distribution,granules growth rate,and permeability of the granules bed.The results show that the granule size and permeability of packed granules bed increase gradually with increasing the granulation time,and the growth of granules can be divided into three stages:the rapid growth stage,the slow growth stage and the relatively stable stage.Both the higher rotational speed and larger number of impellers increase the kinetic energy and collision frequency of the particles,which causes the increase of average granule size,growth rate and permeability of granules packed bed.On the other hand,the shear damage effect of the impellers on the granules is also enhanced with the increase of rotational speed and impeller number,resulting in significant granule size segregation.Yang You Jiabao Guo Gang Li Zhuang Zheng Yong Li Yaowei Yu Xuewei Lv 2022Particuology2022,20,9:0
13Management of traumatic peripheral artery pseudoaneurysm:A 10-year experience at a single center显示文摘Purpose: This study aimed to report our 10-year experience with the management of iatrogenic(penetrating trauma) and traumatic(blunt or penetrating trauma) peripheral artery pseudoaneurysms, based on data from a tertiary referral center.Methods: From January 2012 to December 2021, the medical records of consecutive patients with iatrogenic and traumatic peripheral artery pseudoaneurysms were retrospectively reviewed. Patient demographics, clinical features, imaging data, treatment details, and follow-up results were analyzed.Results: Sixty-one consecutive patients were included in this study;48(79%) were men and 13(21%) women,with a mean age of 49.4 ± 13.4 years(range 24–73 years). There were 42 patients(69%) who underwent open surgery, 18(29%) undergoing endovascular embolization or stent implantation, and one(2%) undergoing ultrasound-guided thrombin injection. All patients successfully underwent open or interventional treatment. The median follow-up was 46.8 months(2.5–117.9 months), and the overall reintervention rate was 10%. Of these,one(5%) patient in the interventional treatment group and five(12%) patients in the open surgery group underwent reintervention. The overall complication rate was 8%, with complications occurring only in the open surgery group. No deaths occurred in the peri-operative period. 14Enrichment of anchoring sites by introducing supramolecular halogen bonds for the efficient perovskite nanocrystal LEDs显示文摘Considering the multi-functionalization of ligands,it is crucial for ligand molecular design to reveal the landscape of anchoring sites.Here,a typical triphenylphosphine(TPP)ligand was employed to explore its effect on the surface of CsPbI_(3)perovskite nanocrystals(PNCs).Except for the conventionally considered P-Pb coordination,an P-I supramolecular halogen bonding was also found on the NC surface.The coexistence of the above two types of bonding significantly increased the formation energy of iodine vacancy defects and improved the photoluminescence quantum yield of PNCs up to 93%.Meanwhile,the direct interaction of P and I enhanced the stability of the Pb-I octahedra and dramatically inhibited the migration of I ions.Furthermore,the introduction of additional benzene rings(2-(Diphenylphosphino)-biphenyl(DPB))increased the delocalized properties of the PNC surface and significantly improved the charge transport of the PNCs.As a result,the DPB passivated CsPbI_(3)NCs based top-emitting LEDs exhibite a peak external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 22.8%,a maximum luminance of 15,204 cd m^(−2),and an extremely low-efficiency roll-off of 2.6%at the current density of 500 mA cm^(−2).Po Lu Ting Li Min Lu Cheng Ruan Siqi Sun Zhennan Wu Yuan Zhong Fujun Zhang Yanbo Gao Yaowei Huang Yang Wang Junhua Hu Fengping Yan Yu Zhang 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,10:0
15Effect of Se-enriched Lactobacillus on Antibody of NDV of Broilers显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Se-enriched lactobacillus on antibody of Newcastle Disease Virus(NDV)of broilers.One thousand day-old AA broiler chickens were selected from a chicken farm of Jinghai County,and the chickens were divided randomly into two groups,which respectively had five repeat groups with 100 chickens each,one named basal diet group,and the other named Se-enriched lactobacillus group.Corn soybean meal diet was selected for basal diet group,while 2%se-enriched lactobacillus was added into corn soybean meal diet for the other group.The method of feeding was free diet,drinking,and routine immunization program was adopted.This test period was 42 d.Two chickens were selected randomly in each repeat for slaughtering and collecting serums on the 14th,28th and 42nd d.Assessments on the effect of Se-enriched lactobacillus in antibody titer of NDV of broilers were made by hemagglutination-inhibition test.The results indicated that antibody titer of NDV was increased significantly by Se-enriched lactobacillus.Yaowei LIN Yanfei LIU Jiande YANG Shunyi QIN 2020Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,5:0
16Co-seismic Water Level and Temperature Responses of Some Wells to Far-Field Strong Earthquakes and Their Mechanisms显示文摘The observation of water temperature in deep wells has been carried out for more than 20 years in China.However,study on the mechanism of water temperature response to earthquakes is inadequate.During the study of the co-seismic response characteristics of water level and temperature in 121 wells within the China subsurface fluid monitoring network at the time of the December 26,2004,M-S8.7 Indonesia earthquake,we found regular response characteristics,that is,when the water level in a deep well oscillates,the water temperature in the same well will mostly experience a cycle from dropping to restoration at the same time.The process will continue for dozens of minutes to several hours.In order to confirm the observed phenomenon,we collected the digital water level and temperature observation data for 39 far-field strong earthquakes from the Tangshan well in Hebei Province(with the data set beginning in 2001).The same response characteristics were observed.Based on the analysis of the influencing factors that may cause the water temperature drop,the authors suggest the gas escape mechanism for co-seismic water temperature drop and posit two main factors that influence the water temperature drop during the process of gas escape.Finally,the authors provide a rational explanation of some observed phenomena based on the mechanism.Chen Daqing Liu Yaowei Yang Xuanhui Liu Yongming 2007Earthquake Research in China2007,21,3:0
