1On the origin and continuing evolution of SARS-CoV-2显示文摘The SARS-Co V-2 epidemic started in late December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and has since impacted a large portion of China and raised major global concern. Herein, we investigated the extent of molecular divergence between SARS-CoV-2 and other related coronaviruses. Although we found only 4% variability in genomic nucleotides between SARS-CoV-2 and a bat SARS-related coronavirus(SARSr-CoV;Ra TG13), the difference at neutral sites was 17%, suggesting the divergence between the two viruses is much larger than previously estimated. Our results suggest that the development of new variations in functional sites in the receptor-binding domain(RBD) of the spike seen in SARS-Co V-2 and viruses from pangolin SARSr-Co Vs are likely caused by natural selection besides recombination. Population genetic analyses of 103 SARS-CoV-2 genomes indicated that these viruses had two major lineages(designated L and S), that are well defined by two different SNPs that show nearly complete linkage across the viral strains sequenced to date. We found that L lineage was more prevalent than the S lineage within the limited patient samples we examined. 2In-situ fabrication of PtSe2/GaN heterojunction for self-powered deep ultraviolet photodetector with ultrahigh current on/off ratio and detectivity显示文摘The research of ultraviolet photodetectors(UV PDs)have been attracting extensive attention,due to their important applications in many areas.In this study,PtSe2/GaN heterojunction is in-situ fabricated by synthesis of large-area vertically standing two-dimensional(2D)PtSe2 film on n-GaN substrate.The PtSe2/GaN heterojunction device demonstrates excellent photoresponse properties under illumination by deep UV light of 265 nm at zero bias voltage.Further analysis reveals that a high responsivity of 193 mA·W^-1,an ultrahigh specific detectivity of 3.8 × 10^14 Jones,linear dynamic range of 155d B and current on/off ratio of^10^8,as well as fast response speeds of 45/102μs were obtained at zero bias voltage.Moreover,this device response quickly to the pulse laser of 266 nm with a rise time of 172 ns.Such high-performanee PtSe2/GaN heteroj u nction UV PD demonstrated in this work is far superior to previously reported results,suggesting that it has great potential for deep UV detection.Ranran Zhuo Longhui Zeng Huiyu Yuan Di Wu Yuange Wang Zhifeng Shi Tingting Xu Yongtao Tian Xinjian Li Yuen Hong Tsang 2019Nano Research2019,12,1:11
3Energy-Efficient Mapping for 3D NoC Using Logistic Function Based Adaptive Genetic Algorithms显示文摘The problem of mapping application tasks is one of key issues in 3D Network on chip(3D NoC) design. A novel Logistic function based adaptive genetic algorithm(LFAGA) is proposed for energy-aware mapping of homogeneous 3D NoC. We formulate the mapping problem and show the Standard genetic algorithm(SGA). The LFAGA is presented in detail with the goal of obtaining higher convergence speed while preventing the premature convergence. Experimental results indicate that the proposed LFAGA is more efficient than previously proposed Chaos-genetic mapping algorithm(CGMAP). In the experiments, a randomly generated task graph of size 27 is mapped to a 3D NoC of size 3×3×3, the convergence speed of LFAGA is 2.55 times faster than CGMAP in the best condition. When the task size increases to 64 and the 3D NoC size extends to 4×4×4, LFAGA is 2.31 times faster compared to CGMAP. For the No C sizes in the range from 3×3×2 to 4×4×4, solutions obtained by the LFAGA are consistently better than the CGMAP. For example, in the experiment of size 4×4×4, the improvement of final result reaches 30.0% in term of energy consumption. 4Fermented mixed feed alters growth performance,carcass traits,meat quality and muscle fatty acid and amino acid profiles in finishing pigs显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of fermented mixed feed(FMF)on growth performance,carcass traits,meat quality,muscle amino acid and fatty acid composition and mRNA expression levels of genes related to lipid metabolism in finishing pigs.In the present study,144 finishing pigs(Duroc×Berkshire×Jiaxing Black)were randomly allocated to 3 dietary treatments with 4 replicate pens per group and 12 pigs per pen.The dietary treatments included a basal diet(CON),a basal diet+5%FMF and a basal diet+10%FMF.The experiment lasted 38 d after 4 d of acclimation.The results showed that 5%and 10%FMF significantly increased the average daily gain(ADG)of the females but not the males(P<0.05),but FMF supplementation showed no impact on carcass traits.Moreover,10%FMF supplementation increased the meat color45 min and meat color24 h values,while it decreased the shear force relative to CON(P<0.05).In addition,10%FMF significantly increased the contents of flavor amino acids(FAA),total essential AA(EAA),total non-EAA(NEAA)and total AA relative to CON(P<0.05).Furthermore,the diet supplemented with 10%FMF significantly increased the concentration of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA),n-6 PUFA and total PUFA,and the PUFA to saturated fatty acids ratio(P<0.05),suggesting that FMF supplementation increased meat quality.Moreover,compared with the CON,10%FMF supplementation increased the mRNA expression of lipogenic genes,including CEBPα,PPARγ,SREBP1 and FABP4,and upregulated the expression of unsaturated fatty acid synthesis(ACAA1 and FADS2).Together,our results suggest that 10%FMF dietary supplementation improved the female pigs’growth performance,improved the meat quality and altered the profiles of muscle fatty acids and amino acids in finishing pigs.This study provides a reference for the production of high-quality pork.Shiqi Liu Man Du Yuang Tu Wenjing You Wentao Chen Guoliang Liu Junyue Li Yizhen Wang Zeqing Lu Tenghao Wang Tizhong Shan 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:4
5Genome-wide analysis and identification of cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenase(CKX) gene family in foxtail millet(Setaria italica)显示文摘Cytokinin oxidase/dehydrogenase(CKX; EC.1.5.99.12) regulates cytokinin(CK) level in plants and plays an essential role in CK regulatory processes. CKX proteins are encoded by a small gene family with a varying number of members in different plants. In spite of their physiological importance, systematic analyses of SiCKX genes in foxtail millet have not yet been examined. In this paper, we report the genome wide isolation and characterization of SiCKXs using bioinformatic methods. A total of 11 members of the family were identified in the foxtail millet genome. SiCKX genes were distributed in seven chromosomes(chromosome 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 11). The coding sequences of all the SiCKX genes were disrupted by introns, with numbers varying from one to four. These genes expanded in the genome mainly due to segmental duplication events. Multiple alignment and motif display results showed that all SiCKX proteins share FAD- and CK-binding domains. Putative cis-elements involved in Ca2+-response, abiotic stress response, light and circadian rhythm regulation, disease resistance and seed development were present in the promoters of SiCKX genes. Expression data mining suggested that SiCKX genes have diverse expression patterns. Real-time PCR analysis indicated that all 11 SiCKX genes were up-regulated in embryos under 6-BA treatment, and some were NaCl or PEG inducible. 6Improvement of copper tolerance of Arabidopsis by transgenic expression of an allene oxide cyclase gene,GhA OC1, in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)显示文摘Allene oxide cyclase(AOC, E 5.3.99.6) is an essential enzyme in the jasmonic acid(JA)biosynthetic pathway and mediates a wide range of adaptive responses. In this report, five AOC genes(Gh AOC1–Gh AOC5) were cloned from upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.),sequenced, and characterized. Real-time PCR analysis indicated that the transcripts of Gh AOCs were abundantly expressed in roots and less in fibers, and regulated in cotton plants under methyl jasmonate(Me JA) and Cu Cl2 stresses. To investigate the role of Gh AOC under copper stress, transgenic Arabidopsis plants overexpressing cotton Gh AOC1 under control of the Cauliflower mosaic virus 35S(Ca MV 35S) promoter were generated. Compared to untransformed plants, Gh AOC1-overexpressing Arabidopsis thaliana plants exhibited markedly higher survival rate, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight, and photosynthetic efficiency, and reduced cell membrane damage and lipid peroxidation under copper stress.This study provides the first evidence that Gh AOC1 plays an important role in copper stress tolerance.Yuange Wang Huaihua Liu Qingguo Xin 2015The Crop Journal2015,3,4:2

12Interoceptive regulation of skeletal tissue homeostasis and repair显示文摘Recent studies have determined that the nervous system can sense and respond to signals from skeletal tissue,a process known as skeletal interoception,which is crucial for maintaining bone homeostasis.The hypothalamus,located in the central nervous system(CNS),plays a key role in processing interoceptive signals and regulating bone homeostasis through the autonomic nervous system,neuropeptide release,and neuroendocrine mechanisms.These mechanisms control the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts(OBs),the activation of osteoclasts(OCs),and the functional activities of bone cells.Sensory nerves extensively innervate skeletal tissues,facilitating the transmission of interoceptive signals to the CNS.This review provides a comprehensive overview of current research on the generation and coordination of skeletal interoceptive signals by the CNS to maintain bone homeostasis and their potential role in pathological conditions.The findings expand our understanding of intersystem communication in bone biology and may have implications for developing novel therapeutic strategies for bone diseases.Yao Xiao Changhao Han Yunhao Wang Xinshu Zhang Rong Bao Yuange Li Huajiang Chen Bo Hu Shen Liu 2023Bone Research2023,11,3:1

19A conductive supramolecular hydrogel creates ideal endogenous niches to promote spinal cord injury repair显示文摘The current effective method for treatment of spinal cord injury(SCI)is to reconstruct the biological microenvironment by filling the injured cavity area and increasing neuronal differentiation of neural stem cells(NSCs)to repair SCI.However,the method is characterized by several challenges including irregular wounds,and mechanical and electrical mismatch of the material-tissue interface.In the current study,a unique and facile agarose/gelatin/polypyrrole(Aga/Gel/PPy,AGP3)hydrogel with similar conductivity and modulus as the spinal cord was developed by altering the concentration of Aga and PPy.The gelation occurred through non-covalent interactions,and the physically crosslinked features made the AGP3 hydrogels injectable.In vitro cultures showed that AGP3 hydrogel exhibited excellent biocompatibility,and promoted differentiation of NSCs toward neurons whereas it inhibited over-proliferation of astrocytes.The in vivo implanted AGP3 hydrogel completely covered the tissue defects and reduced injured cavity areas.In vivo studies further showed that the AGP3 hydrogel provided a biocompatible microenvironment for promoting endogenous neurogenesis rather than glial fibrosis formation,resulting in significant functional recovery.RNA sequencing analysis further indicated that AGP3 hydrogel significantly modulated expression of neurogenesis-related genes through intracellular Ca2+signaling cascades.Overall,this supramolecular strategy produces AGP3 hydrogel that can be used as favorable biomaterials for SCI repair by filling the cavity and imitating the physiological properties of the spinal cord.Biao Yang Chengzhen Liang Di Chen Feng Cheng Yuang Zhang Shaoke Wang Jiawei Shu Xianpeng Huang Jingkai Wang Kaishun Xia Liwei Ying Kesi Shi Chenggui Wang Xuhua Wang Fangcai Li Qian Zhao Qixin Chen 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,9:0
