| 1 | Diversity characterization and association analysis of agronomic traits in a Chinese peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) mini-core collection显示文摘Association mapping is a powerful approach for exploring the molecular basis of phenotypic variations in plants.A peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)mini-core collection in China comprising 298 accessions was genotyped using 109 simple sequence repeat(SSR)markers,which identified 554 SSR alleles and phenotyped for 15 agronomic traits in three different environments,exhibiting abundant genetic and phenotypic diversity within the panel.A model-based structure analysis assigned all accessions to three groups.Most of the accessions had the relative kinship of less than 0.05,indicating that there were no or weak relationships between accessions of the mini-core collection.For 15 agronomic traits in the peanut panel,generally the Q t K model exhibited the best performance to eliminate the false associated positives compared to the Q model and the general linear model-simple model.In total,89SSR alleles were identified to be associated with 15 agronomic traits of three environments by the Q t K model-based association analysis.Of these,eight alleles were repeatedly detected in two or three environments,and 15 alleles were commonly detected to be associated with multiple agronomic traits.Simple sequence repeat allelic effects confirmed significant differences between different genotypes of these repeatedly detected markers.Our results demonstrate the great potential of integrating the association analysis and marker-assisted breeding by utilizing the peanut mini-core collection. | Huifang Jiang Li Huang Xiaoping Ren Yuning Chen Xiaojing Zhou Youlin Xia Jiaquan Huang Yong Lei Liying Yan Liyun Wan Boshou Liao | 2014 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,2: | 14 |
| 2 | Cavitation shedding dynamics around a hydrofoil simulated using a filter-based density corrected model显示文摘The unsteady turbulent cloud cavitation around a NACA66 hydrofoil was simulated using the filter-based density corrected model(FBDCM). The cloud cavitation was treated as a homogeneous liquid-vapor mixture and the effects of turbulent eddy viscosity were reduced in cavitation regions near the hydrofoil and in the wake. The numerical results(in terms of the vapor shedding structure and transient pressure pulsation due to cavitation evolution) agree well with the available experimental data, showing the validity of the FBDCM method. Furthermore, the interaction of vortex and cavitation was analyzed based on the vorticity transport equation, revealing that the cavitation evolution has a strong connection with vortex dynamics. | 3 | Growth behavior of CVD diamond films with enhanced electron field emission properties over a wide range of experimental parameters显示文摘In this study, diamond films were synthesized on silicon substrates by microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition(CVD) over a wide range of experimental parameters. The effects of the microwave power,CH_4/H_2 ratio and gas pressure on the morphology, growth rate, composition, and quality of diamond films were investigated by means of scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). A rise of microwave power can lead to an increasing pyrolysis of hydrogen and methane, so that the microcrystalline diamond film could be synthesized at low CH_4/H_2 levels. Gas pressure has similar effect in changing the morphology of diamond films, and high gas pressure also results in dramatically increased grain size. However,diamond film is deteriorated at high CH_4/H_2 ratio due to the abundant graphite content including in the films. Under an extreme condition of high microwave power of 10 kW and high CH_4 concentration, a hybrid film composed of diamond/graphite was successfully formed in the absence of N_2 or Ar,which is different from other reports. This composite structure has an excellent measured sheet resistance of 10-100 Ω/Sqr. which allows it to be utilized as field electron emitter. | 5 | Circuit design of RRAM-based neuromorphic hardware systems for classification and modified Hebbian learning显示文摘This paper proposes a solution to the learning of neuromorphic hardware systems based on metal-oxide resistive random access memory(RRAM) arrays, which are used as binary electronic synapses.A modified Hebbian learning method is developed to update the binary synaptic weights, and mixed-signal circuits are designed to implement the proposed learning method. The circuits are verified by SPICE, and systematic simulations are also conducted to verify the capability of the neuromorphic system to process relatively large databases. | 6 | On applying the extended intrinsic mean spin tensor to modelling the turbulence in non-inertial frames of reference显示文摘Modelling the turbulent flows in non-inertial frames of reference has long been a challenging task. Recently we introduced the notion of the 'extended intrinsic mean spin tensor' for turbulence modelling and pointed out that, when applying the Reynolds stress models developed in the inertial frame of reference to model-ling the turbulence in a non-inertial frame of reference, the mean spin tensor should be replaced by the extended intrinsic mean spin tensor to correctly account for the rotation effects induced by the non-inertial frame of reference, to conform in phys-ics with the Reynolds stress transport equation. To exemplify the approach, we conducted numerical simulations of the fully developed turbulent channel flow in a rotating frame of reference by employing four non-linear K-ε models. Our numerical results based on this approach at a wide range of Reynolds and Rossby numbers evince that, among the models tested, the non-linear K-ε model of Huang and Ma and the non-linear K-ε model of Craft, Launder and Suga can better capture the rotation effects and the resulting influence on the structures of turbulence, and therefore are satisfactorily applied to dealing with the turbulent flows of practical interest in engineering. | 7 | Identification of major QTL for seed number per pod on chromosome A05 of tetraploid peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘The inheritance of pod-and seed-number traits(PSNT) in peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.) is poorly understood. In the present study, a recombinant inbred line(RIL) population of 188 lines was used to map quantitative trait loci(QTL) for number of seeds per pod(NSP),number of pods per plant(NPP), and numbers of one-, two-, and three-seeded pods per plant(N1 PP, N2 PP, and N3 PP) in four environments. A total of 28 consensus QTL and 14 single QTL were identified, including 11 major and stable QTL. Four major and stable QTL including qN3 PPA5.2, q N3 PPA5.4, qN3 PPA5.5, and qN3 PPA5.7 each explained 12.3%–33.0% of phenotype variation. By use of another integrated linkage map for the A5 group(hereafter referred to as INT A5 group), QTL for PSNT were located in seven intervals of 0.73–9.68 Mb in length on chromosome A05, and candidate genes underlying N3 PP were suggested. These findings shed light on the genetic basis of PSNT. | 9 | Survey and Evaluation of Heavy Metal Pollution in Paddy Soil in West Guangxi显示文摘This paper aims to understand the current situation of heavy metal pollution in paddy soil in West Guangxi,to provide a reference for heavy metal pollution control. The content of Cd,Pb and As of 50 soil samples of cultivation layer( 0- 20 cm),taken from main rice producing areas in West Guangxi,is determined. The environment quality of soil is assessed with the single factor index and the potential ecological risk of paddy soil is evaluated with the potential ecological risk index of Hakanson. The results show that the mean content of Cd,Pb,and As in paddy soil samples is 0. 941,26. 46 and 10. 16 mg / kg,respectively. The Cd content of 54. 0% soil samples and the As content of 2. 0% soil samples are higher than the standard II National Soil Environment Quality,and Cd in paddy soil has high potential ecological risk. | 10 | Scientific objectives of the Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) mission显示文摘The Hot Universe Baryon Surveyor(HUBS) is a proposed space-based X-ray telescope for detecting X-ray emissions from the hot gas content in our universe. With its unprecedented spatially-resolved high-resolution spectroscopy and large field of view,the HUBS mission will be uniquely qualified to measure the physical and chemical properties of the hot gas in the interstellar medium, the circumgalactic medium, the intergalactic medium, and the intracluster medium. These measurements will be valuable for two key scientific goals of HUBS, namely to unravel the AGN and stellar feedback physics that governs the formation and evolution of galaxies, and to probe the baryon budget and multi-phase states from galactic to cosmological scales. In addition to these two goals, the HUBS mission will also help us solve some problems in the fields of galaxy clusters, AGNs, difuse X-ray backgrounds, supernova remnants, and compact objects. | 14 | Integrated genetic linkage map of cultivated peanut by three RIL populations显示文摘High-density and precise genetic linkage map is fundamental to detect quantitative trait locus (QTL) of agronomic and quality related traits in cultivated peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.). In this study, three linkage maps from three RIL (recombinant inbred line)populations were used to construct an integrated map. A total of 2,069 SSR and transposon markers were anchored on the high-density integrated map which covered 2,231.53 cM with 20 linkage groups. Totally, 92 QTLs correlating with pod length (PL), pod width (PW), hundred pods weight (HPW) and plant height (PH) from above RIL populations were mapped on it. Seven intervals were found to harbor QTLs controlling the same traits in different populations,including one for PL, three for PW, two for HPW, and one for PH. Besides, QTLs controlling different traits in different populations were found to be overlapped in four intervals.Interval on A05 contains 17 QTLs for different traits from two RIL populations.
