142,573 cases of hepatectomy in China: a multicenter retrospective investigation显示文摘Hepatectomy is currently routinely performed in most hospitals in China. China owns the largest population of liver diseases and the biggest number of liver resection cases. A nationwide multicenter retrospective investigation involving 112 hospitals was performed, and focused on liver resection for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). 42,573 cases of hepatectomy were enrolled, and 18,275 valid cases of liver resection for HCC patients were selected for statistical analysis. The epidemiology of HCC, distribution of hepatectomy, postoperative complications and prognosis were finally analyzed. In the 18,275 HCC patients,81% had hepatitis B virus infection and 10% had hepatitis C virus infection. 38% of the HCC patients had normal Alphafetoprotein(AFP) level, and other 35% had an AFP level lower than 400 ng mL^(-1). In the study period, 97% of the hepatectomy for HCC were treated with open surgery, and 23.81% had vascular exclusion techniques. The operation time was(191.7±105.6) min,the blood loss was(546.0±562.8) m L, and blood transfusion was(543.0±1,035.2) m L. The median survival for HCC patients was 631 days, with 1-, 3-, and 5-year overall survival of 73.2%, 28.8% and 19.6%, respectively. 3Changes in rice cropping systems in the Poyang Lake Region, China during 2004-2010显示文摘Rice cropping systems not only characterize comprehensive utilization intensity of agricultural resources but also serve as the basis to enhance the provision services of agro-ecosystems.Yet,it is always affected by external factors,like agricultural policies.Since 2004,seven consecutive No.1 Central Documents issued by the Central Government have focused on agricultural development in China.So far,few studies have investigated the ef-fects of these policies on the rice cropping systems.In this study,based upon the long-term field survey information on paddy rice fields,we proposed a method to discriminate the rice cropping systems with Landsat data and quantified the spatial variations of rice cropping systems in the Poyang Lake Region(PLR),China.The results revealed that:(1) from 2004 to 2010,the decrement of paddy rice field was 46.76 km2 due to the land use change.(2) The temporal dynamics of NDVI derived from Landsat historical images could well characterize the temporal development of paddy rice fields.NDVI curves of single cropping rice fields showed one peak,while NDVI curves of double cropping rice fields displayed two peaks an-nually.NDVI of fallow field fluctuated between 0.15 and 0.40.NDVI of the flooded field during the transplanting period was relatively low,about 0.20±0.05,while NDVI during the period of panicle initiation to heading reached the highest level(above 0.80).Then,several temporal windows were determined based upon the NDVI variations of different rice cropping systems.(3) With the spatial pattern of paddy rice field and the NDVI threshold within optimum tem-poral windows,the spatial variation of rice cropping systems was very obvious,with an in-creased multiple cropping index of rice about 20.2% from 2004 to 2010.The result indicates that agricultural policies have greatly enhanced the food provision services in the PLR,China.LI Peng FENG Zhiming JIANG Luguang LIU Yujie XIAO Xiangming 2012Journal of Geographical Sciences2012,22,4:23

6Water Requirements and Irrigation Scheduling of Spring Maize Using GIS and CropWat Model in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region显示文摘Due to the over use of available water resources, it has become very important to define appropriate strategies for planning and management of irrigated farmland. In this paper, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Jing-Jin-Ji) region was chosen as the case study area for its special political and economic status and its severe water problem. To achieve effective planning, the information about crop water requirements, irrigation withdrawals, soil types and climatic conditions were obtained in the study area. In the meantime, a GIS method was adopted, which extends the capabilities of the crop models to a regional level. The main objectives of the study are: 1) to estimate the spatial distribution of the evapotranspiration of spring maize; 2) to estimate climatic water deficit; 3) to estimate the yield reduction of spring maize under different rainfed and irrigated conditions. Based on the water deficit analysis, recommended supplemental irrigation schedule was developed using CropWat model. 9Association of KIR Genotypes and Haplotypes with Susceptibility to Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection in Chinese Han Population显示文摘Killer immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) genes can regulate the activation of NK and T cells upon interaction with HLA class I molecules. Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection has been regarded as a multi-factorial disorder disease. Previous studies revealed that KIRs were involved in HCV and HIV infection or clearance. The aim of this study was to explore the possibility of the inheritance of KIR genotypes and haplotypes as a candidate for susceptibility to persistent HBV infection or HBV clearance. The sequence specific primer polymerase chain reaction (SSP-PCR) was employed to identify the KIR genes and pseudogenes in 150 chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients, 251 spontaneously recovered (SR) controls, and 412 healthy controls. The frequencies of genotype G, M, FZ1 increased in CHB patients compared with healthy control subjects. The frequency of genotype AH was higher in SR controls than that in both CHB patients and healthy controls. The carriage frequencies of genotype G and AH were higher; while, the frequencies of AF and AJ were lower in SR controls than those in healthy control subjects. The frequency of A haplotype was lower, whereas, the frequency of B haplotype was higher in CHB patients and SR controls than those in healthy controls. In healthy controls, haplotype 4 was found lower compared with that in CHB patients and SR controls and the frequency of haplotype 5 was higher in SR controls than that in other two groups. Based on these findings, it seems that the genotypes M and FZ1 are HBV susceptive genotypes; AH, on the other hand, may be protective genotypes that facilitate the clearance of HBV. 10Recent Progress in the Fabrication, Properties, and Devices of Heterostructures Based on 2D Materials显示文摘With a large number of researches being conducted on two?dimen?sional(2D) materials, their unique properties in optics, electrics, mechanics, and magnetics have attracted increasing attention. Accordingly, the idea of combining distinct functional 2D materials into heterostructures naturally emerged that pro?vides unprecedented platforms for exploring new physics that are not accessible in a single 2D material or 3D heterostructures. Along with the rapid development of controllable, scalable, and programmed synthesis techniques of high?quality 2D heterostructures, various heterostructure devices with extraordinary performance have been designed and fabricated, including tunneling transistors, photodetectors, and spintronic devices. 11Land Use Changes in Northeast China Driven by Human Activities and Climatic Variation显示文摘Human-induced land use/cover change (LUCC) forms an important component of global environmental change. Therefore, it is important to study land use/cover and its change at local, regional and global scales. In this paper we conducted the study of land use change in Northeast China, one of the most important agricultural zones of the nation. From 1986 to 2000, according to the study results obtained from Landsat images, widespread changes in land use/cover took place in the study area. Grassland, marsh, water body and woodland decreased by 9864, 3973, 1367 and 10,052km2, respectively. By comparison, paddy field, dry farmland, and built-up land expanded by 7339, 17193 and 700km2, respectively. Those changes bore an interactive relationship with the environment, especially climate change. On the one hand, climate warming created a potential environment for grassland and marsh to be changed to farmland as more crops could thrive in the warmer climate, and for dry farmland to paddy field. On the other hand, the changed surface cover modified the local climate. Those changes, in turn, have adversely influenced the local environment by accelerating land degradation. 12Spectral characteristic of infrared radiations of some acupoint and non-acupoint areas in human arm surface显示文摘Using infrared spectrum detective device, we experiment on Neiguan, Laogong and Hegu acupoints of seven adult volunteers as well as contrastive points beside ones. We get 63 infrared spectrums. The experiment outcome tells us that the differences of the intensities among individuals are great, and so are the differences between acupoint and non-acupoint areas. 13Hierarchical assembly of highly efficient visible-light-driven Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite photocatalyst for the degradation of ibuprofen显示文摘A novel Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite photocatalyst was fabricated for the first time through a two-step assembly strategy by employing in situ calcination and a photodeposition process.The synthesized Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite reached a higher degradation rate of ibuprofen(IBP)with a reaction rate constant of 0.0113 min^(-1) at an Ag content of 7% under visible-light irradiation,which was approximately 1.87 times that of the Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite.Based on the physicochemical properties,the enhanced photocatalytic activity was attributed to the stronger adsorption property,wider photoresponse range and more efficient separation and transfer of electron-hole pairs.Furthermore,the incorporation of monodispersed Ag nanoparticles onto the g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite sheets provided more reactive sites for the IBP degradation.In addition,according to the EPR study and trapping experiments,it was demonstrated that holes(h^(+))should be the key reactive species.A possible pathway of IBP degradation was also proposed based on the detected intermediates.Overall,the results of this work may facilitate the design of a novel visible-light-driven photocatalyst with a high efficiency that is derived from a natural mineral for environmental remediation.Zhiming Sun Xiangwei Zhang Xiongbo Dong Xiaorui Liu Ye Tan Fang Yuan Shuilin Zheng Chunquan Li 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,3:8
14Boosting electrocatalytic water splitting via metal-metalloid combined modulation in quaternary Ni-Fe-P-B amorphous compound显示文摘Design and synthesis of highly efficient and cost-effective bifunctional catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)remain a big challenge.Herein,a quaternary amorphous nanocompound Ni-Fe-P-B has been synthesized by a facile,scalable co-reduction method.The Ni-Fe-P-B exhibits high electrocatalytic activity and outstanding durability for both HER and OER,delivering a current density of 10 mA·cm^-2 at overpotentials of 220 and 269 mV,respectively.When loaded on carbon fiber paper(CFP)as a bifunctional catalyst,the Ni-Fe-P-B@CFP electrode requires a low cell voltage of 1.58 V to obtain 10 mA·cm^-2 for overall water splitting with negligible recession over 60 h.The excellent catalytic performances of Ni-Fe-P-B mainly benefit from the metal-metalloid combined composition modulation and the unique amorphous structure.This work provides new insights into the design of robust bifunctional catalysts for water splitting,and may promote the development of multicomponent amorphous catalysts.Wukui Tang Xiaofang Liu Ya Li Yanhui Pu Yao Lu Zhiming Song Qiang Wang Ronghai Yu Jianglan Shui 2020Nano Research2020,13,2:8

17The net primary productivity of Mid-Jurassic peatland and its control factors: Evidenced by the Ordos Basin显示文摘Using the large-scale thick 4# coal seam from the Mid-Jurassic in the southern Ordos Basin as an example, this paper studied the net primary productivity(NPP) level of the Mid-Jurassic peatland, and discussed its control factors. Geophysical logging signals were used for a spectrum analysis to obtain the Milankovitch cycle parameters in coal seam. These were then used to calculate the accumulation rate of the residual carbon in 4# coal seam. The carbon loss can be calculated according to the density and residual carbon content of 4# coal seam. Then, the total carbon accumulation rate of the peatland was further derived, and the NPP of peatland was determined. The results show that the NPP of MidJurassic peatland is higher than that of Holocene at the same latitude. 18Review of the atmospheric corrosion of magnesium alloys显示文摘Mg atmospheric corrosion is induced by a thin surface aqueous layer. Controlling factors are microgalvanic acceleration between different phases, protection by a continuous second phase distribution, protection by corrosion products, and degradation of protective layers by aggressive species such as chloride ions. The Mg atmospheric corrosion rate increases with relative humidity (RH) and concentrations of aggressive species. Temperature increases the corrosion rate unless a protective film causes a decrease.O2, SO2 and NO2 accelerate the atmospheric corrosion rate, whereas the corrosion rate is decreased by CO2. 19High performance columnar-like Fe2O3@carbon composite anode via yolk@shell structural design显示文摘Conversion-type reaction anode materials with high specific capacity are attractive candidates to improve lithium ion batteries(LIBs), yet the rapid capacity fading and poor rate capability caused by drastic volume change and low electronic conductivity greatly hinder their practical applications. To circumvent these issues, the successful design of yolk@shell Fe2 O3@C hybrid composed of a columnar-like Fe2O3 core within a hollow cavity completely surrounded by a thin, self-supported carbon(C) shell is presented as an anode for high-performance LIBs. This yolk@shell structure allows each Fe2O3 core to swell upon lithiation without deforming the carbon shell. This preserves the structural and electrical integrity against pulverization, as revealed by in situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM) measurement. Benefiting from these structural advantages, the resulting electrode exhibits a high reversible capacity(1013 m Ah g-1 after80 cycles at 0.2 A g-1), outstanding rate capability(710 m Ah g-1 at 8 A g-1) and superior cycling stability(800 m Ah g-1 after 300 cycles at 4 A g-1). 20Chimeric flagellin expressed by Salmonella typhimurium induces an ESAT-6-specific Th1-type immune response and CTL effects following intranasal immunization显示文摘The flagellin component FliC of Salmonella typhimurium is capable of activating the innate immune system via specific interactions with TLR5 and can also act as a carrier of foreign antigen to elicit antigen-specific immune responses.Thus,we constructed an attenuated Salmonella strain SL5928(fliC/esat)expressing chimeric flagellin that contained the ESAT-6 antigen coding sequence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis inserted into the highly variable region of the Salmonella flagellin coding gene fliCi.The chimeric flagellin functioned normally,as demonstrated using a flagella swarming assay and electron microscopy.To analyze the effects of chimeric flagellin,the cell-mediated immune response and cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)effects specific for ESAT-6 antigen were tested after intranasal immunization of mice with flagellated Salmonella SL5928(fliC/esat).The results showed that SL5928(fliC/esat)intranasal immunization can strongly elicit an ESAT-6-specific T helper(Th)1-type immune response in mucosal lymphoid tissues,such as nasopharynx-associated lymph nodes,lung and Peyer’s patches,and a Th1/Th2 response was elicited in spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes.Furthermore,intranasal immunization of SL5928(fliC/esat)produced efficient CTL effects,as demonstrated using a 5-and 6-carboxyfluorescein diacetate succinimidyl ester(CFSE)assay.Thus,our study revealed that Salmonella flagellin acts as a carrier for foreign antigen and triggers strong Th1 and CTL responses during intranasal immunization.Chimeric flagellin is potentially an effective strategy for the development of novel vaccines against tuberculosis in humans and animals.Hui Zhang Liu Liu Ke Wen Jinlin Huang Shizhong Geng Junsong Shen Zhiming Pan Xinan Jiao 2011Cellular & Molecular Immunology2011,8,6:6
