| 2 | High-power mid-infrared femtosecond master oscillator power amplifier Er:ZBLAN fiber laser system显示文摘High-power femtosecond mid-infrared(MIR)lasers are of vast importance to both fundamental research and applications.We report a high-power femtosecond master oscillator power amplifier laser system consisting of a singlemode Er:ZBLAN fiber mode-locked oscillator and pre-amplifier followed by a large-mode-area Er:ZBLAN fiber main amplifier.The main amplifier is actively cooled and bidirectionally pumped at 976 nm,generating a slope efficiency of 26.9%.Pulses of 8.12 W,148 fs at 2.8μm with a repetition rate of 69.65 MHz are achieved.To the best of our knowledge,this is the highest average power ever achieved from a femtosecond MIR laser source.Such a compact ultrafast laser system is promising for a wide range of applications,such as medical surgery and material processing. | Linpeng Yu Jinhui Liang Qinghui Zeng Jiacheng Wang Xing Luo Jinzhang Wang Peiguang Yan Fanlong Dong Xing Liu Qitao Lü Chunyu Guo Shuangchen Ruan | 2023 | High Power Laser Science and Engineering2023,11,4: | 0 |
| 3 | Fiber-specific increase of carotenoid content promotes cotton fiber elongation by increasing abscisic acid and ethylene biosynthesis显示文摘Cotton fiber is a raw material for the global textile industry and fiber quality is essential to its industrial application.Carotenoids are plant secondary metabolites that may serve as dietary components,regulate light harvesting,and scavenge reactive oxygen species.Although carotenoids accumulate predominantly in rapidly elongating cotton fibers,their roles in cotton fiber development remain poorly understood.In this study,a fiber-specific promoter proSCFP was applied to drive the expression of GhOR1Del,a positive regulator of carotenoid accumulation,to upregulate the carotenoid level in cotton fiber in planta.Fiber length,strength,and fineness were increased in proSCFP:GhOR1Del transgenic cotton and abscisic acid(ABA)and ethylene contents were increased in elongating fibers.The ABA downstream regulator GhbZIP27a stimulated the expression of the ethylene synthase gene GhACO3 by binding to its promoter,suggesting that ABA promoted fiber elongation by increasing ethylene production.These findings suggest the involvement of carotenoids and ABA signaling in promoting cotton fiber elongation and provide a strategy for improving cotton fiber quality. | Jianyan Zeng Dan Yao Ming Luo Lingli Ding Yi Wang Xingying Yan Shu’e Ye Chuannan Wang Yiping Wu Jingyi Zhang Yaohua Li Lingfang Ran Yonglu Dai Yang Chen Fanlong Wang Hanyan Lai Nian Liu Nianjuan Fang Yan Pei Yuehua Xiao | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,3: | 0 |
| 4 | XO(X=Ti,Mn)decorated hollow multi-channel carbon sub-micro fiber networks as freestanding cathode for LieS batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur(Lisingle bondS)batteries are considered as one of the most promising high-energy storage devices due to the high theoretical capacity(1675 mA·h·g^(-1))and large energy density(2600 W·h·kg^(-1)).However,the poor conductivity of sulfur and“shuttle effect”of soluble polysulfide intermediates limit practical applications of Lisingle bondS batteries.Herein,four kinds of carbon sub-micro fibers with different structures were designed and prepared,the effect of structure on Lisingle bondS battery was studied.On this basis,the XO(X=Ti,Mn)decorated hollow multi-channel carbon sub-micro carbon fibers(HMCMFs)were prepared by electrospinning and carbonization.The HMCMFs can not only supply nanopores for relieving the expansion of sulfur but also served as high conductivity freestanding substrate for sulfur loading,meanwhile the decorated XO(X=Ti,Mn)can provide powerful chemical adsorption to polysulfide intermediates and limit“shuttle effect”Therefore,the TiO-HMCMFs/S composite shows high specific capacity of 900 mA·h·g^(-1)and maintain stable specific capacities up to∼600 mA·h·g^(-1)over 300 cycles at 0.1 A·g^(-1).This work offers a facile method to build efficient sulfur cathode to acquire Lisingle bondS batteries with high performance. | Qianqian Wu Tianbao Yan Kunming Li Xuepeng Ni Fanlong Zeng Anqi Ju | 2023 | Journal of Materiomics2023,9,1: | 0 |

| 6 | Carboxylated carbon nanotubes with high electrocatalytic activity for oxygen evolution in acidic conditions显示文摘Since most electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction(OER),except for precious metal oxides RuO_(2) and IrO_(2),are unstable in harsh acidic solutions,it is highly desirable to develop high-performance OER electrocatalysts for acidic media,though it is still a big challenge.Herein,we report a simple strategy to produce carboxyl-enriched multiwalled carbon nanotubes(COOH-MWNTs)that exhibit stable and high electrocatalytic activities for OER in acidic solutions,showing an overpotential at a current density of 10 mA cm^(–2) and a Tafel slope as low as of 265 mV and 82 mV dec^(–1),respectively.As far as we are aware,these results represent the best OER performance for metal-free electrocatalysts,even comparable to those of RuO_(2) and IrO_(2).We have further revealed the catalytic mechanism,which involves one electron lose from the COOH-MWNTs catalyst at the beginning of the OER process to trigger H_(2)O molecule oxidation by forming peralcohol,followed by the recapture of one electron from water molecule to oxidize water and to recover the initial state for the COOH-MWNTs catalyst.The unravel of this new OER mechanism is important as it provides new insights into the crucial role of organic functional groups in electrocatalytic processes.Also,the mechanistic understanding can be used to guide the design and development of novel metalfree catalysts for acidic OER electrocatalysis and beyond. | Xin Zhang Wenqing Zhang Jianying Dai Mingzi Sun Jun Zhao Lifei Ji Lin Chen Fanlong Zeng Fengchun Yang Bolong Huang Liming Dai | 2022 | InfoMat2022,4,1: | 0 |
