| 1 | Tectonic evolution of the Dabieshan orogen: In the view from polyphase deformation of the Beihuaiyang metamorphic zone显示文摘The Beihuaiyang metamorphic zone was formed by the Early Mesozoic collision of the North and South China Blocks. It consisted of the Foziling and Luzhenguan complexes and was thought to have never afforded a deep subduction. A similar feature of the deformation in the Dabieshan UHP metamorphic rocks implies that these different tectonic units share the same geodynamic background. The early stage of deformation can be preserved on account of their relatively shallower subduction than that for UHP rocks. On the basis of an analysis of the geo- logical structure and geochronological results, five deformational stages have been recognized: a D1-Early compressional deformation which represents the continental subduction; a D2-Early exhumation deformation producing a syn-convergence exhumation; a D3-Main deformation, represented by an exhumation deformation with Late Triassic age; a D4-Doming and its margin extensional gravity collapse deformation and finally a D5-regional extensional deformation of Cretaceous that was mostly introduced by the migmatization and plutonism. | LIN Wei1, 2, Faure Michel3, WANG Qingchen1 & Arnaud Nicolas4 1. | 2 | Preoperative rectosigmoid endoscopic ultrasonography predicts the need for bowel resection in endometriosis显示文摘BACKGROUND Rectosigmoid endometriosis is an underdiagnosed disease responsible for abdominal pain, transit disorders and rectal bleeding. Two surgical approaches,rectosigmoid bowel resection(segmental or patch) or intramuscular layer dissection(shaving), are available.AIM To assess whether the lesion features observed via preoperative rectosigmoid endoscopic ultrasonography(RS-EUS) might predict the need for bowel resection.METHODS This multicentric retrospective study was conducted on patients with rectosigmoid endometriosis who underwent a curative surgical procedure,evaluated by RS-EUS performed by two trained operators, between January 2012 and March 2018. A univariate statistical analysis was performed on nodules' RSEUS features(thickness, width, infiltration of the submucosae, presence of a bump into the digestive lumen and presence of multiple rectosigmoid localizations). A multivariate logistic regression was then performed on the significant results.RESULTS Of the 367 patients, 73 patients with rectosigmoid endometriosis were evaluated by RS-EUS and underwent rectosigmoid surgery. After the univariate analysis was completed, thickness, width and infiltration of the submucosae were identified as potential predictive factors for bowel resection. In a multivariate logistic regression model, only thickness appeared to be a significant [odds ratio(OR) = 1.49, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.04-2.12, P = 0.028] predictive factor for bowel resection. Receiver operating characteristic analysis performed showed that a thickness over 5.20 mm might be used as cut-off with a sensitivity of 76%, a specificity of 81%, and an area under carve = 0.82. The cut-off values for 100%sensitivity and 100% specificity were 0.90 mm and 10.00 mm, respectively. | 6 | Duodenal intraepithelial T lymphocytes in patients with functional dyspepsia显示文摘AIM: To quantify the intraepithelial lymphocytes (IELs) and to document the membrane expression of CD4, CD8, TCRγδ and adhesion and/or activation-associated molecules (CD103, CD28, CD44, CD69, HLA-DR, CD95/ Fas) in the duodenal mucosa of patients with functional dyspepsia (FD) in order to provide arguments for an immunological process in FD. METHODS: Twenty-six FD patients according to Rome Ⅱ criteria (20 were H pylori negative) were studied and compared to 12 healthy adults. IELs were isolated from five duodenal biopsy samples, then quantified by microscopy and flow cytometry while the membrane phenotypes were determined by cytofluorometry. RESULTS: Duodenal histological examination was normal. In H pylori negative patients, the number of IELs was not different from that in healthy controls. Median percentage expression of CD4, CD8, or TCRγδ and CD103, CD44, CD28, CD69 on CD3+ IELs, among the adhesion/activation associated molecules tested, was not different from that in healthy controls. In contrast, the median percentage expression of CD95/ Fas [22 (9-65) vs 45 (19-88), P = 0.03] and HLA- DR expressing CD3+ IELs [4 (0-30) vs 13 (4-42), P = 0.04] was significantly lower in the H pylori negative FD group than in healthy controls, respectively. The number of IELs was significantly greater in H pylori positive FD patients than in healthy controls [median ratiofor 100 enterocytes 27.5 (6.7-62.5) vs 10.8 (3-33.3), P = 0.02] due to a higher number of CD8+ CD3+ IELs. | 7 | Influence of Coal Nature and Structure on Ash Size Formation Characteristic and Related Pollutant Emissions During CFB Combustion显示文摘The size distribution of coal particles in a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) boiler plays a crucial role in the complicated combustion, heat exchange and pollutant emissions in such a plat. Therefore, it is fundamental to study the different factors having influence on the size distribution of coal particles. Above all, the coal itself and in particular, the coal combination phenomenon is a very influent factor. In the frame of this work, the coal nature (elementary composition) and coal internal structure (mineral components) are studied in detail. At this intermediary stage, experiments on three typical Chinese coals on a l.5 MWt CFBC pilot plant have been made. Some primary fragmentation tests have also been made in a small lab scale fluidized bed reactor. The results from the hot pilot test show i) the variation of coal ash distributions and other CFB performance data due to the cyclone and the coal characteristics and ii) the variation of desulfurization efficiency with limestone.
