1High temperature mechanical behavior of low-pressure sand-cast Mg-Gd-Y-Zr magnesium alloy显示文摘The aim of this work is firstly to optimize T6 heat-treatment of low-pressure sand-cast Mg-10Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy,and then systematically investigate the mechanical behavior of the T6-treated alloy from room temperature to 300℃.It turned out that the optimum T6 heat-treatments for the tested alloy are 525℃×12 h+225℃×14 h and 525℃×12 h+250℃×12 h which integrated age-hardening and tensile properties into account,respectively.The strength of the T6-treated alloy indicates obvious anomalous temperature dependence from room temperature to 300℃,namely both ultimate tensile strength and yield strength of the tested alloy firstly increase with tensile temperature,and then decrease as temperature increases further.Elongation increased with temperature monotonously.The tensile fracture mode of the tested alloy changes from transgranular fracture to intergranular fracture with the increasing of test temperature.Wencai Liu Beiping Zhou Guohua Wu Liang Zhang Xiang Peng Liang Cao 2019Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,4:10
2Microstructure and mechanical properties of sand-cast Mg-6Gd-3Y-0.5Zr alloy subject to thermal cycling treatment显示文摘This work was undertaken to investigate the microstructural evolution, mechanical properties and fracture behavior of sand-cast Mg-6 Gd-3 Y-0.5 Zr(GW63) alloy subject to thermal cycling treatment. In order to simulate the thermal cycling under extreme service conditions(space or moon environments), the sand-cast and T6 treated GW63 alloys were subjected to thermal cycling treatment which consists of deep cryogenic-elevated temperature cycling treatment(DCET) and deep cryogenic cycling treatment(DCT). Results indicate that there are significant gains in yield strength(YS) and ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of the sand-cast GW63 alloy after DCET, whereas the T6 state alloy undergoes a different variation in mechanical properties. However, no appreciable influence is revealed on the mechanical properties of the tested GW63 alloys after DCT. Meanwhile, the DCT and DCET have no obvious effects on the fracture morphology. The DCT enhances the precipitation kinetics via providing favorable nucleation sites for the precipitation of second phases. The elevated temperature process of DCET plays a crucial role in improving the aging-hardening responses and releasing the stress concentration brought by DCT to a great extent, leading to overcome the obstacle of essential phase transformation. 3Optimization of Four Kinds of Constructed Wetlands Substrate Combination Treating Domestic Sewage显示文摘Based on the static and dynamic experiments, this paper has analyzed the adsorbing capacity for domestic wastewa-ter pollutant (COD, NH4+-N and TP) of four kinds of constructed wetlands substrate which were fly ash, hollow brick crumbs, coal cinder and activated carbon pellets in single and combined condi-tion. In the static experiments, the adsorbing capacity of four sub-strates all grew as the adsorbing dose increased. In adsorbing COD, each substrate’s adsorbing capacity rises with the adsorbing dos-age. Simultaneously, experiments show that all the adsorption of the four kinds of substrate for COD, NH4+-N and TP follows the Freundich Rule. The dynamic experiment demonstrated that the adsorbing capacity of combined substrates is bigger than that of single substrate. Fly ash in combination with small coal cinder adsorbs COD the best, while it takes in NH4+-N and TP the best when working with hollow brick crumbs. The combination of the two raises the removal rates up to 89% and 81% respectively. 4Floc structure and membrane fouling affected by sodium alginate interaction with Al species as model organic pollutants显示文摘Membrane filtration combined with pre-coagulation has advantages in advanced wastewater treatment. As a model of a microbial polysaccharide, research on the effect of sodium alginate(SA) on alum hydrolysis has been rare; therefore, it is necessary to gain insight into the interface interaction between SA molecules and Al species, and the role SA plays during floc formation. In this study, the interaction mechanism between SA and Al species has been investigated, by evaluating the effect of SA on floc characteristics and membrane fouling during coagulation–ultrafiltration with different Al species coagulants(AlCl3 and preformed Al13). Al 2 p X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) confirmed that the complexation of ligands and Al species strongly affects the reaction pathways for Al hydrolysis and the final nature of the flocs, as Al13 can be decomposed into octahedral precipitates when SA is added. The presence of SA can affect floc properties, which have important impacts on the characteristics of the cake layer and membrane fouling. Due to the bridging ability of SA, the floc strength increased by about 50% using Ala, which was much better than preformed Al13, with a percentage increase of only about 6%. 5Molecular insight into electron transfer properties of extracellular polymeric substances of electroactive bacteria by surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy显示文摘Extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) extracted from electroactive bacteria show promising redox activity, but the electron transfer(ET) mechanism of the EPS has been rarely elucidated because of their structural complexity and lack of efficient methodologies. In this study, the charge transfer theory of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS) was applied to evaluate the redox properties of EPS adsorbed on Ni and Ag nanoparticles(NPs). These metal NPs were used to simultaneously magnify Raman signals and reduce/oxidize the redox moieties in EPS. As a result, the ET between EPS and metal NPs was evaluated through the changes in Raman signals. In this regard, we compared the redox activity of EPS extracted from two typical electroactive bacteria(Shewanella oneidensis and Geobacter sulfurreducens) and another two nonelectroactive strains(Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis). Electrochemical measurements show that the electroactive strains have higher redox capabilities than nonelectroactive strains. The SERS analysis shows that the porphyrin present in cytochrome c is the dominating redox moiety in the EPS of electroactive bacteria. 11Black phosphorus quantum dots as multifunctional nanozymes for tumor photothermal/catalytic synergistic therapy显示文摘Nanozymes are nanomaterials with enzyme-like properties that have attracted significant interest owing to their high stability,easy preparation,and tunable catalytic properties,especially in the field of cancer therapy.However,the unfavorable catalytic effects of nanozymes in the acidic tumor microenvironment have limited their applications.Herein,we developed a biomimetic erythrocyte membrane-camouflaged ultrasmall black phosphorus quantum dots(BPQDs)nanozymes that simultaneously exhibited an exceptional near-infrared(NIR)photothermal property and dramatically photothermal-enhanced glucose oxidase(GOx)-like activity in the acidic tumor microenvironment.We demonstrated the engineered BPQDs gave a photothermal conversion efficiency of 28.9%that could rapidly heat the tumor up to 50℃ while effectively localized into tumors via homing peptide iRGD leading after intravenously injection.Meanwhile,the significantly enhanced GOx-like activity of BPQDs under NIR irradiation was capable of catalytical generating massive toxic reactive oxygen species via using cellular glucose.By combining the intrinsic photothermal property and the unique photothermal-enhanced GOx-like catalytic activity,the developed BPQDs were demonstrated to be an effective therapeutic strategy for inhibiting tumor growth in vivo.We believe that this work will provide a novel perspective for the development of nanozymes in tumor catalytic therapy.Hui Ding Daji Wang Haibing Huang Xiaozhu Chen Jie Wang Jinjie Sun Jianlin Zhang Lu Lu Beiping Miao Yanjuan Cai Kelong Fan Yongtian Lu Hongsong Dong Xiyun Yan Guohui Nie Minmin Liang 2022Nano Research2022,15,2:1

14Host gut-derived Bacillus probiotics supplementation improves growth performance, serum and liver immunity, gut health, and resistive capacity against Vibrio harveyi infection in hybrid grouper(♀Epinephelus fuscoguttatus × ♂Epinephelus lanceolatus)显示文摘Several reports have revealed the vital role that probiotics play in fish growth and health.However,few works are available for host gut-derived probiotics on the growth,immunity,and gut microbiota of fish,especially in hybrid grouper (♀Epinephelus fuscoguttatus×♂Epinephelus lanceolatus) due to their isolation difficulty and functional verification.This study aimed at assessing 3 host gut-derived Bacillus species?effects on the growth,immune and antioxidant-biochemical responses,haematological parameters,intestinal morphology,immune-related gene expression,gut microbiota,and disease resistance against Vibrio harveyi in hybrid grouper.A total of 480 hybrid grouper (initial weight=9.03±0.02 g) were randomly allotted into 4 groups,namely,the group fed a basal diet without probiotic inclusion (control,B0),the group fed the basal diet with Bacillus velezensis GPSAK4 (BV),the group fed the basal diet with Bacillus subtilis GPSAK9 (BS),and the group fed the basal diet with Bacillus tequilensis GPSAK2 (BT) strains at 1.0×10^(9)CFU/g.After a 6-week feeding trial,the results revealed significant improvements (P<0.05) in the growth performance,whole fish-body proximate composition,blood haematological parameters,serum,liver,and intestinal biochemical indexes,intestinal morphology,and protection against V.harveyi pathogen in the probiotic-treated groups compared with the untreated.Additionally,the expressions of intestinal tight junction genes (occludin and ZO1),pro-and anti-inflammatory genes,including IL1β,IL6,IL8,TNFa,MyD88,IL10,and TGFβ,were upregulated (P<0.05) after Bacillus species administration.Host gut-derived Bacillus supplementation shaped the gut microbiota by significantly increasing (P<0.05) the relative abundance of Proteobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Actinobacteria (except the BS group),Acidobacteria(except the BT group),Cyanobacteria (except the BV and BT groups),and Verrucomicrobia phyla,as well as known beneficial genera (Romboutsia,Turicibacter,Epulopiscium,Clostridium_sensu_stricto 1 and 13,Lactobacillus,and Bacillus),but significantly decreased (P<0.05) the abundance of Firmicutes,Chloroflexi,and Fusobacteria phyla,and purported pathogenic genera (Staphylococcus and Photobacterium) compared with the control group.Collectively,the results suggest that B.velezensis GPSAK4,B.subtilis GPSAK9(especially this strain),B.tequilensis GPSAK2 dietary supplementation at 1.0×10^(9)CFU/g has positive effects on the intestinal health of hybrid grouper via microbial composition modulation,thus enhancing the assimilation and absorption of nutrients to boost fish growth,immunity,and disease resistance.Kwaku Amoah Beiping Tan Shuang Zhang Shuyan Chi Qihui Yang Hongyu Liu Yuanzhi Yang Haitao Zhang Xiaohui Dong 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,3:0

16Soybean protein concentrate causes enteritis in juvenile pearl gentian groupers(Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀×Epinephelus lanceolatus♂)显示文摘Due to diminishing fish meal(FM)supplies,superb protein(PRO)sources are needed for aquaculture,such as soy-based PRO.However,these can cause enteritis and even intestinal injury in fish when used at high proportions in feed.This research examines the effects of substituting soybean protein concentrate(SPC)for FM on the growth performance and intestinal balance of pearl gentian groupers and investigates the mechanism of SPC-induced enteritis.Experimental fish(n=720)were fed 1 of 3 following diets:(1)a 50%FM diet(control),(2)a diet with 20%of the FM substituted with SPC(group SPC20),and(3)a 40%SPC-substituted diet(SPC40).Fish were fed for 10 wk iso-nitrogenous(50%PRO)and iso-lipidic(10%lipid)diets.Groups SPC20 and SPC40 showed significantly lower developmental performance and intestinal structures than control.Group SPC40 had significantly higher expressions of pro-inflammatory-related genes,such as interleukin 1β(IL1β),IL12,IL17 and tumor necrosis factorαand significantly lower expressions of anti-inflammatory-related genes,such as IL5,IL10 and transforming growth factorβ1.Biochemical and 16S high-throughput sequencing showed that the abundance and functions of intestinal flora in group SPC40 were significantly affected(P<0.05),and there were significant correlations between operational taxonomic unit abundance variations and inflammatory gene expressions at genus level(P<0.05).The second-and third-generation full-length transcriptome sequence was used to analyze the mechanism of SPC-induced enteritis in pearl gentian groupers,which showed that enteritis induced by SPC may be caused by disturbances to intestinal immune function induced by an imbalance in intestinal nutrition and metabolism,such as the intestinal immunity network for IgA production pathway.However,it remains unclear as to which intestinal immune or nutritional imbalance is most important in enteritis development.This study provides a basis for further research into soy PRO-related enteritis in fish.Wei Zhang Beiping Tan Junming Deng Qihui Yang Shuyan Chi Aobo Pang Yu Xin Yu Liu Haitao Zhang 2023Animal Nutrition2023,,1:0
17Performance and mechanism of carbamazepine removal by FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2–)process:experimental investigation and DFT calculations显示文摘As persulfate(S_(2)O_(8)^(2-))is being increasingly used as an alternative oxidizing agent,developing lowcost and eco-friendly catalysts for efficient S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)activation is potentially useful for the treatment of wastewater containing refractory organic pollutant.In this study,the degradative features and mechanisms of carbamazepine(CBZ)were systematically investigated in a novel FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process under near-neutral conditions.The results exhibited that CBZ can be effectively eliminated by the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process and the optimal conditions were:250 mg/L FeS,0.5 mmol/L S_(2)O_(8)^(2-),and pH=6.0.The existence of Cl^(−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)has little influence on the CBZ elimination,while both HCO_(3)^(−) and HPO_(4)^(2−)(1 and 50 mmol/L)significantly suppressed the CBZ removal in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process.CBZ could be degraded via a radical mechanism in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the working radical species(i.e.,SO_(4)•−and•OH)were efficiently formed via the promoted decomposition of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface Fe2+on the FeS and the dissolved ferrous ions in solution.Based on the identified oxidized products and Fukui index calculations,a possible degradation pathway of CBZ was speculated.More importantly,a two-stage oxidation mechanism of CBZ elimination was speculated in the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process,the activation of S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)by the surface-active Fe(II)of FeS dominated in the initial 5 min,while homogeneous oxidation reactions played more essential parts than others in the following reaction stage(5–60 min).Overall,this study demonstrated that the FeS-S_(2)O_(8)^(2-)process is capable of removing CBZ from water efficiently.Xuejun Long Jun Luo Zhenxing Zhong Yanxu Zhu Chunjie Zhang Jun Wan Haiyan Zhou Beiping Zhang Dongsheng Xia 2023Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2023,17,9:0
18Soybeanβ-conglycinin and glycinin reduced growth performance and the intestinal immune defense and altered microbiome in juvenile pearl gentian groupers Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀×Epinephelus lanceolatus♂显示文摘The utilization efficiency of soy protein is affected by its 2 anti-nutritional substancesdthe antigens bconglycinin and glycinin.This study investigated their effects on the growth performance,intestinal immune defense,andmicrobiome in juvenile pearl gentian groupers(Epinephelus fuscoguttatus♀×Epinephelus lanceolatus♂).Three isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were formulated containing fishmeal supplemented with 70 g/kgβ-conglycinin or 100 g/kg glycinin,or no supplementation(control).Each experimental diet was fed to quadruplicate groups with 30 fish in each tank for 8 weeks.Dietary inclusion of eitherβ-conglycinin or glycinin significantly reduced weight gain and specific growth rates,and cell proliferation of the distal intestine.Histological evaluation of the intestine tract revealed the inflammation signs,characterized by reducing of plica height and width as well as the number of the goblet cells,and widening of the lamina propria.The group fed theβ-conglycinin diet had reduced lysozyme activity,contents of immunoglobulin M and complements 3 and 4.Increased activities of caspase-3 and-9 were observed in the group fed the bconglycinin diet compared to the other 2 groups.In the intestinal microbiota,the relative abundances of the potentially pathogenic genera Photobacterium and Vibrio were significantly higher in the glycinin group than those in others.Therefore,the existence of soybean antigens(β-conglycinin or glycinin)could damage the structural integrity of the intestine,reduce immune defense,reshape the intestinal microbiome and,ultimately,impair growth in fish.Yuanfa He Jinfang Liang Xiaohui Dong Hongyu Liu Qihui Yang Shuang Zhang Shuyan Chi Beiping Tan 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,2:0
19High-Order Fully Discrete Energy Diminishing Evolving Surface Finite Element Methods for a Class of Geometric Curvature Flows显示文摘This article concerns the construction of high-order energy-decaying numerical methods for gradient flows of evolving surfaces with curvature-dependent energy functionals.The semidiscrete evolving surface finite element method is derived based on the calculus of variation of the semidiscrete surface energy functional.This makes the semidiscrete problem naturally inherit the energy decay structure.With this property,the semidiscrete problem is furthermore formulated as a gradient flow system of ODEs.The averaged vector-field collocation method is used for time discretization of the ODEs to preserve energy decay at the fully discrete level while achieving high-order accuracy in time.Extensive numerical examples are provided to illustrate the accuracy and energy diminishing property of the proposed method,as well as the effectiveness of the method in capturing singularities in the evolution of closed surfaces.Beiping Duan Buyang Li Zhimin Zhang 2021Annals of Applied Mathematics2021,37,4:0
