2Fructus Broussonetae extract improves cognitive function and endoplasmic reticulum stress in Alzheimer's disease models显示文摘This study investigated the effects and possible targets of Fructus Broussonetiae extract,a traditional Chinese medicinal herb,on a model of Alzheimer's disease induced by beta-amyloid peptide 25-35 and D-galactose.The results revealed that intragastric administration of Fructus Broussonetiae significantly increased the expression of immunoglobulin-binding protein,a key factor in the endoplasmic reticulum stress-signaling pathway in rat hippocampus.In contrast,the treatment significantly decreased expression levels of PKR-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase and C/EBP homologous protein,and substantially improved learning,memory and spatial recognition dysfunction in rats.This evidence indicates that Fructus Broussonetiae extract improves spatial learning and memory abilities in rats by affecting the regulation of hippocampal endoplasmic reticulum stress and activation of the apoptosis pathway.Yinghong Li Li Hu Zhengzhi Wu Zhiling Yu Meiqun Cao Kehuan Sun Yu Jin Anmin Wu Andrew CJ Huang 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,30:7
3Morphology control and shape evolution in 3D hierarchical superstructures显示文摘Hierarchical structures, in which structure is generated and controlled simultaneously at different size scales, have attracted increasing attention due to their potentials in both theoretical research and practical applications. In this review, a 'non-classical crystallization' mechanism is discussed for their possibilities in morphology control of hierarchically-structured materials. Differently, this crystallization route is not based on the attaching and detaching of monomers as happened in the classical case, but through the self-organization of preformed building blocks as nanosized subunits, whose oriented attachment leads to mesocrystals with favorable morphology and texture. Representative materials including both inorganic and organic crystals are reported with possible mechanisms proposed. 7Coalfield structure and structural controls on coal in China显示文摘The occurrence of coal-bearing strata in a variety of coal-bearing basins of China is characterized by late tectonic deformation and remarkable spatial and geochronologic differences.The main controlling factors,which determine the tectonic framework of coalfields,include the geodynamic environment,tectonic evolution,deep structures,tectonic stress,and lithologic combination of the coal measures.The Chinese continent has experienced multi-stage tectonic movements since the Late Paleozoic.The spatial and temporal heterogeneity of its continental tectonic evolution,the complexity of its basement properties,and its stratigraphic configurations control the tectonic framework of its coalfields’present complex and orderly patterns.The concept of coal occurrence structural units is proposed in this paper and is defined as the structural zoning of coal occurrence.China’s coalfields are divided into five coal occurrence structural areas,and the structural characteristics of the coalfields in five main coal occurrence areas throughout the country are summarized.Based on the analysis of the relationship between the structure characteristics and occurrence of coal in these coalfields,the coal-controlling structures are divided into six groups:extensional structural styles,compressional structural styles,shearing and rotational structural styles,inverted structural styles,sliding structural styles,and syn-depositional structural styles.In addition,the distribution of coal-controlling structural styles is briefly summarized in this paper.Daiyong Cao Anmin Wang Shuzheng Ning Huantong Li Aijun Guo Limin Chen Kang Liu Jieqing Tan Zhihong Zheng 2020International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,2:2

10Analysis of hippocampal gene expression profile of Alzheimer's disease model rats using genome chip bioinformatics显示文摘In this study,an Alzheimer's disease model was established in rats through stereotactic injection of condensed amyloid beta 1-40 into the bilateral hippocampus,and the changes of gene expression profile in the hippocampus of rat models and sham-operated rats were compared by genome expression profiling analysis.Results showed that the expression of 50 genes was significantly up-regulated(fold change ≥ 2),while 21 genes were significantly down-regulated in the hippocampus of Alzheimer's disease model rats(fold change ≤ 0.5) compared with the sham-operation group.The differentially expressed genes are involved in many functions,such as brain nerve system development,neuronal differentiation and functional regulation,cellular growth,differentiation and apoptosis,synaptogenesis and plasticity,inflammatory and immune responses,ion channels/transporters,signal transduction,cell material/energy metabolism.Our findings indicate that several genes were abnormally expressed in the metabolic and signal transduction pathways in the hippocampus of amyloid beta 1-40-induced rat model of Alzheimer's disease,thereby affecting the hippocampal and brain functions.Yinghong Li Zhengzhi Wu Yu Jin Anmin Wu Meiqun Cao Kehuan Sun Xiuqin Jia Manyin Chen 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,5:1

13A facile template free synthesis of porous carbon nanospheres with high capacitive performance显示文摘Porous carbon nanospheres have been widely used in different fields such as electric devices, catalysts, and water treatment. Here we will introduce a template-free process for the preparation of porous carbon nanospheres starting from a direct 3-aminophenol formaldehyde polymerization in a mixed solution. We identify that the addition of different alcohols, particularly ethanol and nbutanol, is able to change the growth habit of the polymer nanospheres and introduce a favorable inner compositional homogeneity for the preparation of porous structure. 14Density functional theory study on the interaction of catechin and cytosine显示文摘The interacting patterns and mechanism of the catechin and cytosine have been investigated using the density functional theory B3LYP method with 6-31+G* basis set.Eleven stable structures of the catechin-cytosine complexes have been found respectively.The results indicate that the complexes are mainly stabilized by the hydrogen bonding interactions.Theories of atoms in molecules(AIM) and natural bond orbital(NBO) have been utilized to investigate the hydrogen bonds involved in all the systems.The interaction energies of all the complexes which were corrected for basis set superposition error(BSSE),are from-17.35 to-43.27 kJ/mol.The results show that the hydrogen bonding contributes to the interaction energies dominantly.The corresponding bonds stretching motions in all the complexes are red-shifted relative to that of the monomer,which is in good agreement with experimental results.CAI WanFei MAO Shuang ZHANG Shu CAO Fei ZHANG Hong LI LaiCai TIAN AnMin 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,7:0
15Controlled synthesis of hierarchically-structured MnCo_2O_4 and its potential as a high performance anode material显示文摘To satisfy the upsurging demand for energy storage in modern society,anode materials which can deliver high capacity have been intensively researched for the next generation lithium ion batteries.Typically,the binary MnCo_2O_4 with a characteristic coupled metal cations showed promising potential due to its high theoretical capacity and low cost.Here,by means of a well-designed synthesis control,we demonstrated a scalable process to achieve a hierarchical structure of MnCo_2O_4,which existed as uniform microspheres with embedded mesopores,showing favorable structural characters for high performance during a fast charge/discharge process.Our synthesis highlighted the importance of sodium salicylate as an essential additive to control the precipitation of the two involved metal cations.It was proved that a dual role was played sodium salicylate which cannot only facilitate the formation of microspheric shape,but also act as an effective precursor for the creation of inner mesopores.We confirmed that the hierarchically-structured MnCo_2O_4 showed outstanding performance when it was tested as an anode material in lithium ion batteries as revealed by its extraordinary cycling stability and high rate capability.Zixiao Wu Fuhai Li Yonggang Sun Deshan Bin Junyu Piao Xijie Lin Xiaochan Liu Anmin Cao Li-Jun Wan 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,9:0
