1^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar age evidence for Altyn fault tectonic activities in western China显示文摘Four 40Ar/39Ar age groups of mica, hornblende and K-feldspar were obtained from Proterozoic and early Paleozoic metamorphic rocks in the Aksay-Dangjin Pass area, western China. The samples away from the middle shear zone of the Altyn fault belt yield two plateau age groups in the range of 461—445.2 Ma and 414.9—342.8 Ma, respec-tively. They represent the tectono-thermal events that had been recorded in the rocks that were displaced by the Altyn strike-slip fault in late Ordovician-early Silurian and Devo-nian, respectively. These two age groups should be related to the closures of Northern and Southern Qilian Oceans. The deformed granitic gneiss from the northern belt gives a pla-teau age group of 178.4—137.5 Ma, which is interpreted as the active age of the Altyn fault in the middle-late Jurassic- early Cretaceous and should be related to the accretion of Lhasa block to the north. The sample from the middle shear zone of the Altyn fault belt yields two plateau ages of 36.4 and 26.3 Ma, respectively, suggesting the strike-slip move-ment with strong metamorphism at greenschist facies along the Altyn fault in the late Eocene. This event occurred in the most areas of the northern Tibet Plateau and should be in response in the north to the collision between Indian and Eurasian continents. The present study demonstrates that the Altyn fault is characterized by multiple pulse-style activi-ties under the tectonic setting of convergence between the Indian and Eurasian continents.LIU Yongjiang1, J. 2Preparation and characterization of (metal, nitrogen)-codoped TiO_2 by TiCl_4 sol-gel auto-igniting synthesis显示文摘The nitrogen-doped and (metal, nitrogen)-codoped TiO2 photocatalysts (metal = Ag, Ce, Fe, La) were synthe- sized by sol-gel auto-igniting synthesis (SAS) with the complex compound sol of TiCl4-NH4NO3-citri acid-metal nitrate- NH3?H2O as a precursor. The products were characterized by means of XRD, XPS, and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra, and their photocatalytic activity was investigated under visible light. It was found that all the synthesized powders showed good absorption for visible light, and that the radius and alterable valence states of doping metallic cations played important roles on their photocatalytic activity. 3Laser probe ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating of mica on the deformed rocks from Altyn Fault and its tectonic implications,western China显示文摘The samples of Caledonian mylonitized granite and Jurassic meta-sedimentary rocks were collected in the north of Dangjinshan Pass, Qaidam gate fault-valley and Gesi fault-valley. Detailed studies under the microscope and electronic microscope suggest that all the samples contain the syntectonic-growing minerals such as white mica, chlorite, sericite, biotite, etc. By dating these minerals, we got a group of 40Ar/39Ar laser probe isochronal ages of 89-92 Ma and apparent ages of (46.6±6.4) Ma. The ages ranging from 97 to 46 Ma were reported for the first time in the isotopic dating researches of the Altyn Fault The isochronal age group of (98-89) Ma indicates that a ductile strike-slip event, with low-grade metamorphism, began in late Cretaceous. 4Removal of adhesive dusts from flue gas using corona discharges with spraying water显示文摘Effective removal of adhesive and fine dusts from flue gas is very difficult. A new method of electrostatic precipitation of the corona discharges with spraying water(CDSW) was introduced. A new electrode configuration and the circulation spraying of water were employed in the method. The efficient electrostatic precipitation for adhesive and fine dusts can be accomplished without any drain water during a long operating period. The fundamental structure, discharge characteristics, mechanism of spraying and precipitation principle of the electrostatic precipitation using CDSW were described and analyzed. The V I characteristics, spraying state, supplying water quantity, influence of temperature and clean of the electrodes were researched in series experiments. The treating effects of circulating spraying using the corona plasma at the same time of electrostatic precipitation were investigated. 5Enhanced photocatalytic activity of (La, N) co-doped TiO_2 by TiCl_4 sol-gel autoigniting synthesis显示文摘(La, N) co-doped TiO2 photocatalysts were synthesized using TiCl4 sol-gel autoigniting synthesis (SAS) starting from a complex compound system of TiCl4-La(NO3)3-citric acid-NH4NO3-NH3?H2O, in which the (La, N) co-doped process was accom- plished in the formation of TiO2 nanocrystals. The prepared samples were characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoemission spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra. The results indicated that nitrogen and lanthanum were incorporated into the lattice and interstices of titania nanocrystals, which resulted in narrowing the band gap and promoting the sepa- ration of photoexcited hole-electron pairs, respectively, and showing expected red-shifts and enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light. 8On the temperature characteristics of phase measurement in homodyne fiber interferometer显示文摘Different from the traditional way of using piezoelectric (PZT) phase shifter to measure phase difference,a new method is designed to calculate it between signals in the two arms of a homodyne fiber interferometer. A simple homodyne fiber interferometer system is then established to measure the interference photocurrent and the photocurrents from the two fiber arms generated by the signal power on a temperature control plat. The homodyne fiber interferometer system is composed of fiber and sensitive to the variation of temperature. Thus,is necessary to study the temperature characteristics in the phase measurement of homodyne fiber interferometer. 9Thermoelectric properties of p-type (Bi_(0.15)Sb_(0.85))_2Te_3-PbTe graded thermoelectric materials with different barriers显示文摘The p-type (Bi0.15Sb0.85)2Te3 and PbTe are typical thermoelectric materials used for low and middle temperature range and functional graded materials (FGM) is an inevitable way to widen the working temperature range. Here two segments graded thermoelectric materials (GTM) consisting of (Bi0.15Sb0.85)2Te3, PbTe and different barriers were fabricated by the common hot pressure method. Metals Fe, Mg and Ni were used as barriers between the two segments. The diffusion of different barriers between the barriers and bases were analyzed by electron microprobe analysis (EMA). The phase and crystal structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD). The thermoelectric properties were measured at 303 K along the direction parallel to the pressing direction. The results show that the compositional diffusion occurs when there is no barrier at the interface of the two segments, and the diffusion of Pb is most obvious; as the barrier material, the diffusion of metals Fe, Mg and Ni between different bases is not very obvious, and the thermoelectric properties of GTM is much better than that of the original segment.Guiying Xu Yanping Gao Changchun Ge Weiping Shen 2005Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2005,12,4:3
10Laser Properties of Nd_2O_3 Doped Na_2O–CaO–SiO_2 Transparent Glass-Ceramics for Space Solar Energy显示文摘A series of Na_2O–Ca O–Si O_2 glass ceramics containing different content of Nd^(3+)ions were prepared by the method of high temperature melting and subsequent crystallization.The absorption,excitation and emission spectra of these glass ceramics were investigated;effects of Nd^(3+)content and crystallization behavior on the laser properties of this material had been studied.The results show that the emission bands originating from the ~4F_(3/2) state of Nd^(3+)were firstly enhanced with the increase of the Nd_2O_3 doping content and the crystallinity degree,and then decreased with more doping content and deepened crystallization.The possible reasons of this phenomenon were analyzed.Research will be favored to promote the development of glass ceramics laser materials for space solar energy.Shuming Wang Fenghua Kuang Qing Ye Yanxin Wang Minghui Tang Changchun Ge 2016Journal of Materials Science & Technology2016,32,6:3
11Comparative study of β-Si_3N_4 powders prepared by SHS sintered by spark plasma sintering and hot pressing显示文摘β-Si3N4 powders prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) with additions of Y2O3 and Al2O3 were sintered by spark plasma sintering (SPS). The densification, microstructure, and mechanical properties of Si3N4 ceramics prepared using this method were compared with those obtained by hot pressing process. Well densified Si3N4 ceramics with finer and homo- geneous microstructure and better mechanical properties were obtained in the case of the SPS technique at 200°C lower than that of hot pressing. 12Fabrication of W/Cu and Mo/Cu FGM as Plasma-facing Materials显示文摘W/Cu Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) was designed not only for reducing the thermal stress caused by the mismatch of thermal expansion coefficients, but also for combining the features of W, Mo - high plasma-erosion resistance and the advantages of Cu - high heat conductivity and ductility. Four different fabrication processes for W/Cu or Mo/Cu, including hot-pressing, Cu infiltration of sintered porosity-graded W skeleton, spark plasma sintering and plasma spraying, were investigated and compared. It was foundthat the hot-pressing process is difficult to keep the designed composition gradient, while the other three processes are successful in making W/Cu or Mo/Cu FGM. 13Fabrication and Microstructure of W/Cu Functionally Graded Material显示文摘W/Cu functionally gradient material (FGM) has excellent mechanical properties since it can effectively relax interlayer thermal stresses caused by the mismatch between their thermal expansion coefficients. W/Cu FGM combines the advantages of tungsten such as high melting point and service strength, with heat conductivity and plasticity of copper at room temperature. Thus it demonstrates satisfactory heat corrosion and thermal shock resistance and will be a promising candidate as divertor component in thermonuclear de-vice. Owing to the dramatic difference of melting point between tungsten and copper, conventional processes meet great difficulties in fabricating this kind of FGMs. A new approach termed graded sintering under ultra-high pressure (GSUHP) is proposed, with which a near 96% relative density of WICu FGM that contains a full distribution spectrum (0-100%W) has been successfully fabricated. Suitable amount of transition metals (such as nickel, zirconium, vanadium) is employed as additives to activate tungsten’s sintering, enhance phase wettability and bonding strength between W and Cu. Densification effects of different layer of FGM were investigated. Microstructure morphology and interface elements distribution were observed and analyzed. 15Corrosion Mechanism of MgO-CaO Brick for AOD Furnace显示文摘Residual MgO-CaO brick after being used in AOD furnace was determined by OM, SEM and EDAX. Corrosion mechanism of MgO-CaO brick as furnace lining was studied. Results show that: The corrosion of MgO-CaO brick is mainly attributed to the solution and infiltration of silicate liquid phase. 16An Early Stage Faulting Along the Altun Mountain Range——Microstructural Evidences显示文摘Structural, microstructural analysis is done on the Altun fault zo ne and fault rocks. The major characteristics of faulting are summarized. Micros tructural observation reveals a complicated evolution of the fault zone. Much at tention is paid to the microstructural observation and dynamic analysis of fault ing. The occurrence of phengite grains suggest abnormally high pressure conditio ns during ductile deformation and metamorphism, while the occurrence of muscovit e-chlorite mineral assemblage suggest a low temperature and low pressure condit i on. Micro-component analysis on the inter-grown muscovite and chlorite grains gives similar information. It is concluded that the first deformation along the Altun fault zone is a type of ductile shearing, forming mylonites and mylonitic rocks along the fault zone. 18Effect of the capsule on deformation and densification behavior of nickel-based superalloy compact during hot isostatic pressing显示文摘The Shima yield criterion used in finite element analysis for nickel-based superalloy powder compact during hot isostatic pressing(HIP) was modified through uniaxial compression experiments. The influence of cylindrical capsule characteristics on FGH4096M superalloy powder compact deformation and densification behavior during HIP was investigated through simulations and experiments. Results revealed the simulation shrinkage prediction fitted well with the experimental shrinkage including a maximum shrinkage error of 1.5%. It was shown that the axial shrinkage was 1.7% higher than radial shrinkage for a cylindrical capsule with the size of ∮50 mm × 100 mm due to the force arm difference along the axial and radial direction of the capsule. The stress deviated from the isostatic state in the capsule led to the uneven shrinkage and non-uniform densification of the powder compact. The ratio of the maximum radial displacement to axial displacement increased from0.47 to 0.75 with the capsule thickness increasing from 2 to 4 mm. 19Bonding Interface of W-CuCrZr Explosively Welded Composite Plates for Plasma Facing Components显示文摘In order to realize the effective jointing of tungsten and Cu Cr Zr alloys manufactured for plasma facing components(PFCs), explosive welding is employed for its some unique advantages. Different welding characteristics were investigated in this study. The interfacial waveform of the welded plates changed periodically from flat-wavelet to a large wave and finally to a stable wave, which began with the detonation point. The bonding strength of the specimens is higher than 32.9 MPa. Welding hardening and the formation of microcracks occurred at the interface zone.
