| 1 | Effect of surgical factors on the augmentation of cementinjectable cannulated pedicle screw fixation by a novel calcium phosphate-based nanocomposite显示文摘Bone cement-augmented pedicle screw system demonstrates great efficacy in spinal disease treatments. However, the intrinsic drawbacks associated with clinically used polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) cement demands for new bone cement formulations. On the basis of our previous studies, a novel injectable and biodegradable calcium phosphate-based nanocomposite (CPN) for the augmentation of pedicle screw fixation was systematically evaluated for its surgical feasibility and biomechanical performance by simulated and animal osteoporotic bone models, and the results were compared with those of clinical PMMA cement. ASTM-standard solid foam and open-cell foam models and decalcified sheep vertebra models were employed to evaluate the augmentation effects of CPN on bone tissue and on the cement-injected cannulated pedicle screws (CICPs) placed in osteoporotic bone. Surgical factors in CICPs application, such as injection force, tapping technique, screw diameter, and pedicle screw loosening scenarios, were studied in comparison with those in PMMA. When directly injected to the solid foam model, CPN revealed an identical augmentation effect to that of PMMA, as shown by the similar compressive strengths (0.73 ± 0.04 MPa for CPN group vs. 0.79 ± 0.02 MPa for PMMA group). The average injection force of CPN at approximately 40-50 N was higher than that of PMMA at approximately 20 N. Although both values are acceptable to surgeons, CPN revealed a more consistent injection force pattern than did PMMA. The dispersing and anti-pullout ability of CPN were not affected by the surgical factors of tapping technique and screw diameter. The axial pullout strength of CPN evaluated by the decalcified sheep vertebra model revealed a similar augmentation level as that of PMMA (1351.6 ± 324.2 N for CPN vs. 1459.7 ± 304.4 N for PMMA). The promising results of CPN clearly suggest its potential for replacing PMMA in CICPs augmentation application and the benefits of further study and development for clinical uses. | Haolin Sun Chun Liu Shunlun Chen Yanjie Bai Huilin Yang Chunde Li Lei Yang | 2019 | Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,5: | 2 |

| 3 | High-resolution linkage and quantitative trait locus mapping using an interspecific cross between Argopecten irradians irradians(♀) and A. purpuratus (♂)显示文摘The bay scallop and Peruvian scallop are economically important species.Interspecific hybrids of these two scallops outperformed both of their parent species in multiple growth traits but exhibited decreased fertility, which provides good models for the study of heterosis and species divergence.Genetic mapping serves as a chromosomal-level framework to investigate the molecular mechanisms of hybridization and introgression. In this study,high-resolution linkage maps were constructed for the bay and Peruvian scallops with an interspecific hybrid family. The linkage map of the bay scallop covered over 98.9% of the whole genome with 2994 mapped markers and the average marker interval of 0.32 cM.For the Peruvian scallop,1585 markers were mapped with the average maker interval of 0.51 cM,covering 97.7% of the genome. Both the two linkage maps have 16 linkage groups, corresponding to the haploid chromosome number of the two species.Approximately,54.5% of markers exhibited significant deviation from the expected Mendelian ratio of segregation, lending in sights into the intrinsic incompatibility between the two species.QTLs related to growth and shell coloration were detected, which could explain 13.1%and 74.9% of the phenotypic variance, respectively. This represents important information for further evaluation. These findings are an important addition to the genomic resources for scallop genetic studies, and are especially useful for investigations on genomic incompatibility for hybridization, genome evolution of closely related species, and genetic enhancement programs in aquaculture. | Junxia Mao Qifan Zeng Zujing Yang Haoyuan Pan Lijie Yao Zhenmin Bao Chunde Wang Shi Wang | 2020 | Marine Life Science & Technology2020,2,2: | 1 |

| 7 | Optimization of Center of Gravity Position and Anti-Wave Plate Angle of Amphibious Unmanned Vehicle Based on Orthogonal Experimental Method显示文摘When the amphibious vehicle navigates in water, the angle of the anti-wave plate and the position of the center of gravity greatly influence the navigation characteristics. In the relevant research on reducing the navigation resistance of amphibious vehicles by adjusting the angle of the anti-wave plate, there is a lack of scientific selection of parameters and reasonable research of simulation results by using mathematical methods, and the influence of the center of gravity position on navigation characteristics is not considered at the same time.To study the influence of the combinations of the angle of the anti-wave plate and the position of the center of gravity on the resistance reduction characteristics,a numerical calculation model of the amphibious unmanned vehicle was established by using the theory of computational fluid dynamics, and the experimental data verified the correctness of the numerical model.Based on this numerical model, the navigation characteristics of the amphibious unmanned vehicle were studied when the center of gravity was located at different positions, and the orthogonal experimental design method was used to optimize the parameters of the angle of the anti-wave plate and the position of the center of gravity. The results show that through the parameter optimization analysis based on the orthogonal experimental method, the combination of the optimal angle of the anti-wave plate and the position of the center of gravity is obtained. And the numerical simulation result of resistance is consistent with the predicted optimal solution.Compared with the maximum navigational resistance, the parameter optimization reduces the navigational resistance of the amphibious unmanned vehicle by 24%. | Deyong Shang Xi Zhang Fengqi Liang Chunde Zhai Hang Yang Yanqi Niu | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,139,5: | 0 |
