1Parishin C's prevention of Aβ_(1–42)-induced inhibition of long-term potentiation is related to NMDA receptors显示文摘The rhizome of Gastrodia elata(GE), a herb medicine, has been used for treatment of neuronal disorders in Eastern Asia for hundreds of years. Parishin C is a major ingredient of GE. In this study, the i.c.v. injection of soluble Aβ1–42oligomers model of LTP injury was used. We investigated the effects of parishin C on the improvement of LTP in soluble Aβ1–42oligomer–injected rats and the underlying electrophysiological mechanisms. Parishin C(i.p. or i.c.v.) significantly ameliorated LTP impairment induced by i.c.v. injection of soluble Aβ1–42oligomers. In cultured hippocampal neurons,soluble Aβ1–42oligomers significantly inhibited NMDAR currents while not affecting AMPAR currents and voltage-dependent currents. Pretreatment with parishin C protected NMDA receptor currents from the damage induced by Aβ. In summary, parishin C improved LTP deficits induced by soluble Aβ1–42oligomers. 2Humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants elicited by inactivated and RBD-subunit vaccines显示文摘SARS-CoV-2 variants could induce immune escape by mutations on the receptor-binding domain(RBD)and N-terminal domain(NTD).Here we report the humoral immune response to circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants,such as 501Y.V2(B.1.351),of the plasma and neutralizing antibodies(NAbs)elicited by CoronaVac(inactivated vaccine),ZF2001(RBD-subunit vaccine)and natural infection.Among 86 potent NAbs identified by high-throughput single-cell VDJ sequencing of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from vaccinees and convalescents,near half anti-RBD NAbs showed major neutralization reductions against the K417N/E484K/N501Y mutation combination,with E484K being the dominant cause.VH3-53/VH3-66 recurrent antibodies respond differently to RBD variants,and K417N compromises the majority of neutralizing activity through reduced polar contacts with complementarity determining regions.In contrast,the 242–244 deletion(242–244Δ)would abolish most neutralization activity of anti-NTD NAbs by interrupting the conformation of NTD antigenic supersite,indicating a much less diversity of anti-NTD NAbs than anti-RBD NAbs.Plasma of convalescents and CoronaVac vaccinees displayed comparable neutralization reductions against pseudo-and authentic 501Y.V2 variants,mainly caused by E484K/N501Y and 242–244Δ,with the effects being additive.Importantly,RBD-subunit vaccinees exhibit markedly higher tolerance to 501Y.V2 than convalescents,since the elicited anti-RBD NAbs display a high diversity and are unaffected by NTD mutations.Moreover,an extended gap between the third and second doses of ZF2001 leads to better neutralizing activity and tolerance to 501Y.V2 than the standard three-dose administration.Together,these results suggest that the deployment of RBD-vaccines,through a third-dose boost,may be ideal for combating SARS-CoV-2 variants when necessary,especially for those carrying mutations that disrupt the NTD supersite.Yunlong Cao Ayijiang Yisimayi Yali Bai Weijin Huang Xiaofeng Li Zhiying Zhang Tianjiao Yuan Ran An Jing Wang Tianhe Xiao Shuo Du Wenping Ma Liyang Song Yongzheng Li Xiang Li Weiliang Song Jiajing Wu Shuo Liu Xuemei Li Yonghong Zhang Bin Su Xianghua Guo Yangyang Wei Chuanping Gao Nana Zhang Yifei Zhang Yang Dou Xiaoyu Xu Rui Shi Bai Lu Ronghua Jin Yingmin Ma Chengfeng Qin Youchun Wang Yingmei Feng Junyu Xiao Xiaoliang Sunney Xie 2021Cell Research2021,31,7:12

6Mesoporous silica SBA-15 functionalized with phosphonate and amino groups for uranium uptake显示文摘Mesoporous silicas have a very attractive ability of sorption and enrichment of metal ions due to their huge surface area and facile functionalization by organic ligands.In this work,phosphonate-amino bifunctionalized mesoporous silica SBA-15(PA-SBA-15) as U(VI) sorbent was fabricated through post-grafting method.The obtained mesoporous silica was characterized by SEM,XRD,NMR and nitrogen sorption/desorption experiments,which revealed the existence of ordered mesoporous structure with uniform pore diameter and large surface area.The adsorptivity of PA-SBA-15 for U(VI) from aqueous solution was investigated using batch sorption technique under different experimental conditions.The preliminary results show that the U(VI) sorption by PA-SBA-15 is very quick with equilibrium time of less than 1 h,and the U(VI) uptake is as large as 373 mg/g at pH 5.5 under 95 ℃.The sorption isotherm has been successfully modeled by the Langmuir isotherm,suggesting a monolayer homogeneous sorption of U(VI) in PA-SBA-15.The sorption is pH-dependent due to the pH-dependent charge of sorbent in the aqueous solution.The thermodynamics research shows that the sorption is a feasible and endothermic process.Based on these results,PA-SBA-15 could be a promising solid phase sorbent for highly-efficient removal of U(VI) ions from waste water and enrichment of U(VI) from a solution at a very low level.WANG XiaoLiang YUANLiYong WANG YanFei LI ZiJie LIU YaLan FENG YiXiao ZHAO YuLiang CHAI ZhiFang SHI WeiQun 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,9:6
7Risk factors of hyperprolactinemia induced by risperidone and olanzapine and their correlations with plasma glucose and lipids显示文摘Background Hyperprolactinemia is a common adverse reaction in patients with schizophrenia who take antipsychotic drugs;it often leads to treatment noncompliance in patients and has an adverse effect on their prognosis.Aims This study aimed to explore the risk factors of elevated prolactin(PRL)caused by risperidone(RIS)and olanzapine(OLZ)and the relationship between PRL and fasting plasma glucose and lipids.Methods Patients with schizophrenia were divided into two groups:264 patients who were taking RIS and 175 patients who were taking OLZ.These two groups were further divided according to serum PRL levels:an elevated PRL group(>30ng/mL)and a normal PRL group(PRL<30ng/mL).The demographics,medication dosage,fasting plasma glucose,total cholesterol and triglycerides were compared in the two groups.Logistic regression analysis was performed to explore the risk factors of elevated PRL levels.Results Compared with the OLZ group,the RIS group had a greater number of patients with elevated PRL(155/264 vs 58/175).Either the RIS or the OLZ group,the proportion of elevated PRL was greater in female patients(RIS:x^2=6.76,p=0.009;OLZ:x^2=12.98,p<0.001)and with higher doses of the related drugs(RIS:U=-3.73,p<0.001;OLZ:U=-2.31,p=0.021).In patients taking RIS,the elevated PRL subgroup took the drug for a longer period(U=-2.76,p=0.006)and had lower triglyceride levels(U=2.76,p=0.006).In patients taking OLZ,the elevated PRL subgroup had lower fasting plasma glucose levels(U=2.29,p=0.022).Logistic regression analysis showed that gender,dose and fasting glucose levels were significantly associated with elevated PRL levels(RIS:p=0.001,OLZ:p<0.001;RIS:p<0.001;OLZ:p=0.003;RIS:p=0.020,OLZ:p=0.001,respectively).Conclusion Compared with OLZ,RIS had a greater effect on PRL in patients with schizophrenia,and in patients with schizophrenia taking RIS or OLZ,gender and dose were significantly correlated with the PRL value.Moreover,the plasma glucose level of the group with elevated PRL was lower than that of the group with normal PRL.The results also showed that high serum PRL may be associated with a favourable glucose metabolic profile in patients with schizophrenia taking RIS or OLZ.Further studies are warranted to confirm this association.Sidi He Wen Juan Yu Xiaoliang Wang Lei Zhang Nan Zhao Guanjun Li Yi Feng Shen Huafang Li 2020General Psychiatry2020,33,4:5
8HYBRID FILTER WITH PREDICT-ESTIMATOR AND COMPENSATOR FOR THE LINEAR TIME INVARIANT DELAYED SYSTEM显示文摘This paper investigates the problem of real-time estimation for one kind of linear time invariant systems which subject to limited communication capacity. The communication limitations include signal transmission delay, the out-of-sequence measurements and data packet dropout, which appear typically in a network environment. The kernel of filter design is equally to formularize the traditional Kalman filter as one linear weighted summation which is composed of the initial state estimate and all sequential sampled measurements. For it can adapt aforementioned information limitations, the linear weighted summation is then decomposed into two stages. One is a predict-estimator composed by all reached measurements, another is one compensator constructed by those time-delayed data. In the network environment, there are obvious differences between the new hybrid filter and those existing delayed Kalman filters. For example, the novel filter can be optimal in the sense of linear minimum mean square error as soon as all measurements available and has the lowest running time than these existing delayed filters. 9Effects of Al^(3+)doping on the structure and properties of goethite and its adsorption behavior towards phosphate显示文摘Al substitution in goethite is common in soils, and has strong influence on the structure and physicochemical properties of goethite. In this research, a series of Al-doped goethites were synthesized, and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS)spectroscopy. The adsorption behavior of these samples towards PO43-was also investigated. Characterization results demonstrated that increasing Al content in goethite led to a reduction in crystallinity, increase in specific surface area(SSA), and morphology change from needle-like to granular. Rietveld structure refinement revealed that the lattice parameter a remained almost constant and b slightly decreased, but c was significantly reduced, and the calculated crystal density increased. EXAFS analysis demonstrated that the Fe(Al)–O distance in the structure of the doped goethites was almost the same, but the Fe–Fe(Al) distance decreased with increasing Al content. Surface analysis showed that, with increasing Al content, the content of OH groups on the mineral surface increased. The adsorption of phosphate per unit mass of Al-doped goethite increased, while adsorption per unit area decreased owing to the decrease of the relative proportion of(110) facets in the total surface area of the minerals. 11Polydopamine nanoparticle-dotted food gum hydrogel with excellent antibacterial activity and rapid shape adaptability for accelerated bacteria-infected wound healing显示文摘Most commonly used wound dressings have severe problems,such as an inability to adapt to wound shape or a lack of antibacterial capacity,affecting their ability to meet the requirements of clinical applications.Here,a nanocomposite hydrogel(XKP)is developed by introducing polydopamine nanoparticles(PDA NPs)into a food gum matrix(XK,consisting of xanthan gum and konjac glucomannan,both FDA-approved food thickening agents)for skin wound healing.In this system,the embedded PDA NPs not only interact with the food gum matrix to form a hydrogel with excellent mechanical strength,but also act as photothermal transduction agents to convert near-infrared laser radiation to heat,thereby triggering bacterial death.Moreover,the XKP hydrogel has high elasticity and tunable water content,enabling it to adapt to the shape of the wound and insulate it,providing a moist environment suitable for healing.In-vivo skin wound healing results clearly demonstrate that XKP can significantly accelerate the healing of wounds by reducing the inflammatory response and promoting vascular reconstruction.In summary,this strategy provides a simple and practical method to overcome the drawbacks of traditional wound dressings,and provides further options when choosing suitable wound healing materials for clinical applications.Qiankun Zeng Yuna Qian Yijing Huang Feng Ding Xiaoliang Qi Jianliang Shen 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:3
