1Exotic origin of the Chinese continental shelf: new insights into the tectonic evolution of the western Pacific and eastern China since the Mesozoic显示文摘The effect of paleo-Pacific subduction on the geological evolution of the western Pacific and continental China is likely complex. Nevertheless, our analysis of the distribution of Mesozoic granitoids in the eastern continental China in space and time has led us to an interesting conclusion: The basement of the continental shelf beneath East and South China Seas may actually be of exotic origin geologically unrelated to the continental lithosphere of eastern China. By accepting the notion that the Jurassic–Cretaceous granitoids in the region are genetically associated with western Pacific subduction and the concept that subduction may cease to continue only if the trench is being jammed, then the termination of the granitoidmagmatism throughout the vast region at *88 ± 2 Ma manifests the likelihood of ‘‘sudden'', or shortly beforehand(*100 Ma), trench jam of the Mesozoic western Pacific subduction. Trench jam happens if the incoming‘‘plate'' or portion of the plate contains a sizeable mass that is too buoyant to subduct. The best candidate for such a buoyant and unsubductable mass is either an oceanic plateau or a micro-continent. We hypothesize that the basement of the Chinese continental shelf represents such an exotic, buoyant and unsubductable mass, rather than seaward extension of the continental lithosphere of eastern China. The locus of the jammed trench(i.e., the suture) is predictably located on the shelf in the vicinity of, and parallel to, the arc-curved coastal line of the southeast continental China. It is not straightforward to locate the locus in the northern section of the East China Sea shelf because of the more recent(\20 Ma) tectonic re-organization associated with the opening of the Sea of Japan. We predict that the trench jam at *100 Ma led to the re-orientation of the Pacific plate motion in the course of NNW direction as inferred from the age-progressive Emperor Seamount Chain of Hawaiian hotspot origin(its oldest unsubdued Meiji and Detroit seamounts are *82 Ma),making the boundary between the Pacific plate and the newly accreted plate of eastern Asia a transform fault at the location east of the continental shelf of exotic origin. This explains the apparent *40 Myr magmatic gap from *88to *50 Ma prior to present-day western Pacific subduction initiation. We propose that basement penetration drilling on well-chosen sites is needed to test the hypothesis in order to reveal the true nature of the Chinese continental shelf basement. This testing becomes critical and cannot longer be neglected in order to genuinely understand the tectonic evolution of the western Pacific and its effect on the geology of eastern China since the Mesozoic, includingthe cratonic lithosphere thinning, related magmatism/mineralization, and the mechanism of the subsequent South China Sea opening, while also offering novel perspectives on aspects of the plate tectonics theory. We also suggest the importance of future plate tectonic reconstruction of the western Pacific to consider the nature and histories of the Chinese continental shelf of exotic origin as well as the probable transform plate boundary from *100 to*50 Ma. 3Effect of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease measured by St. George's respiratory disease questionnaire scores and forced expiratory volume显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction on stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) by observing its influences on patients' quality of life and airway inflammation.METHODS: Seventy patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=35) treated with Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction plus Seretide and a control group(n=35) treated with Seretide only.The dosage of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction was 100 mL each time, twice a day, and the dosage of Seretide was salmeterol 50 μg/fluticasone 250 μg twice a day. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. Before and after the treatment, St George's respiratory disease questionnaire(SGRQ)scores,forced expiratory volume,and forced expiratory volume in 1 second/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)were measured.RESULTS:The SGRQ scores in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05). After treatment, the total SGRQ scores and each subscore in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The percentage of the predicted FEV1% and FEV1/FVC were higher in both groups, but no statistical differences were detected from before to after the treatment or between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction could significantly decrease the SGRQ scores in patients with stable COPD, which suggests that it is able to improve patient symptoms.Jianqiu Liu Fengli Gao Zhuying Li 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,4:8
4Wide-steering-angle high-resolution optical phased array显示文摘Optical phased array(OPA)technology is considered a promising solution for solid-state beam steering to supersede the traditional mechanical beam steering.As a key component of the LIDAR system for long-range detection,OPAs featuring a wide steering angle and high resolution without beam aliasing are highly desired.However,a wide steering range requires a waveguide pitch less than half of the wavelength,which is easily subjected to cross talk.Besides,high resolution requires a large aperture,and it is normally achieved by a high count number of waveguides,which complicates the control system.To solve the mentioned issues,we design two high-performance 128-channel OPAs fabricated on a multilayered SiN-on-SOI platform.Attributed to the nonuniform antenna pitch,only 128 waveguides are used to achieve a 4 mm wide aperture.Besides,by virtue of innovative dual-level silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))waveguide grating antennas,the fishbone antenna OPA achieves a 100°×19.4°field of view(FOV)with divergence of 0.021°×0.029°,and the chain antenna OPA realizes a 140°×19.23°FOV with divergence of 0.021°×0.1°.To our best knowledge,140°is the widest lateral steering range in two-dimensional OPA,and 0.029°is the smallest longitudinal divergence.Finally,we embed the OPA into a frequency-modulated continuous-wave system to achieve 100 m distance measurement.The reflected signal from 100 m distance is well detected with 26 dBm input transmitter power,which proves that OPA serves as a promising candidate for transceiving optical signal in a LIDAR system.YINGZHI LI BAISONG CHEN QUANXIN NA QIJIE XIE MIN TAO LANXUAN ZHANG ZIHAO ZHI YUXUAN LI XIAOBIN LIU XIANSHU LUO GUOQIANG LO FENGLI GAO XUEYAN LI JUNFENG SONG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,12:7
5Chemical composition,energy and amino acid digestibility in double-low rapeseed meal fed to growing pigs显示文摘Background:The nutritional value of rapeseed meal may be variable due to the variation of its chemical composition.And a precise understanding of the nutritional value of an ingredient is beneficial for the accurate diet formulation and reduction of feed costs.This study was conducted to determine the chemical composition,digestible energy(DE) and metabolizable energy(ME) content,and apparent ileal digestibility(AID) and standardized ileal digestibility(SID) of amino acids(AA) for growing pigs.Thirteen solvent-extracted double-low rapeseed meal(DLRSM) samples were obtained from the main double-low rapeseed producing areas in China.Methods:The DE and ME contents of the 13 DLRSM samples were measured in growing pigs(six pigs per DLRSM sample,average initial body weight(BW) = 48.3 kg).The AID and SID of AA of 10 DLRSM samples were determined in 12 crossbred barrows(average initial BW = 35.3 kg) by using two 6x6 Latin square designs.Each Latin square comprised one N-free diet and 5 DLRSM test diets.Results:The chemical composition of DLRSM varied among samples,and the coefficient of variation was greater than 10%for ether extract(EE),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),acid detergent fiber(ADF),calcium(Ca),and total glucosinolates.The AA content of DLRSM varied among samples especially for lysine(Lys) and methionine(Met).On a dry matter(DM) basis,the apparent total tract digestibility(ATTD) of gross energy(GE),the DE and ME and the ME:DE ratio of DLRSM averaged 62.39%,2862 kcal/kg and 2723 kcal/kg,and 94.95%,respectively.The mean value of SID of Lys was 70.52% which varied from 66.54-76.54%.The SID of crude protein(CP),Met,and threonine(Thr) averaged 72.81%,82.41%,and 69.76%,respectively.Conclusions:There was great variability in chemical composition especially in the concentration of EE,NDF and ADF,but no significant differences in energy content of the DLRSM samples were observed.In addition,the AID and SID of all AA were relatively similar among DLRSM samples except for that of Lys.Peili Li Fengli Wang Fei Wu Jinrong Wang Ling Liu Changhua Lai 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,4:5

7Facile construction of highly efficient MOF-based Pd@UiO-66-NH_(2)@ZnIn_(2)S_(4)flower-like nanocomposites for visible-light-driven photocatalytic hydrogen production显示文摘Construction of metal-organic-frame works-based composite photocatalysts has attracted much attention for the reasonable band gap and high surface areas to improve the photocatalytic activity.In this study,the ternary heterojunction Pd@UiO-66-NH_(2)@ZnIn_(2)S_(4)nanocomposites were facilely prepared for the first time by a two-step method.The visible-light-promoted hydrogen production rate of 0.3%Pd@UiO-66-NH_(2)@ZnIn_(2)S_(4)reaches up to 5.26 mmol g^(-1)h^(-1),which is evidently much higher than pure UiO-66-NH_(2),ZnIn_(2)S_(4)and binary UiO-66-NH_(2)/ZnIn_(2)S_(4)composites.Such a huge improvement in the photocatalytic performance is mainly attributed to the matched band gap of ZnIn_(2)S_(4)and UiO-66-NH_(2),and the introduction of Pd NPs into photocatalysts that broaden spectral response range and promote the photon induced charge carrier separation.This work may provide a feasible approach for the design and construction of metal-organic-frameworks-based photocatalytic materials.Mengting Cao Fengli Yang Quan Zhang Juhua Zhang Lu Zhang Lingfeng Li Xiaohao Wang Wei-Lin Dai 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,17:3
8Artificial intelligence-assisted automatic and index-based microbial single-cell sorting system for One-Cell-One-Tube显示文摘Identification,sorting,and sequencing of individual cells directly from in situ samples have great potential for in-depth analysis of the structure and function of microbiomes.In this work,based on an artificial intelligence(AI)-assisted object detection model for cell phenotype screening and a cross-interface contact method for single-cell exporting,we developed an automatic and index-based system called EasySort AUTO,where individual microbial cells are sorted and then packaged in a microdroplet and automatically exported in a precisely indexed,“One-Cell-One-Tube”manner.The target cell is automatically identified based on an AI-assisted object detection model and then mobilized via an optical tweezer for sorting.Then,a crossinterface contact microfluidic printing method that we developed enables the automated transfer of cells from the chip to the tube,which leads to coupling with subsequent single-cell culture or sequencing.The efficiency of the system for single-cell printing is>93%.The throughput of the system for single-cell printing is~120 cells/h.Moreover,>80%of single cells of both yeast and Escherichia coli are culturable,suggesting the superior preservation of cell viability during sorting.Finally,AI-assisted object detection supports automated sorting of target cells with high accuracy from mixed yeast samples,which was validated by downstream single-cell proliferation assays.The automation,index maintenance,and vitality preservation of EasySort AUTO suggest its excellent application potential for single-cell sorting.Zhidian Diao Lingyan Kan Yilong Zhao Jingyun Song Chen Wang Yang Liu Fengli Zhang Teng Xu Rongze Chen Xixian Wang Xiaoyan Jing Jian Xu Yuandong Li Bo Ma 2022mLife2022,1,4:2
9A Particle Filter Based Compressive Sensing Method for Tracking Moving Wideband Sound Sources显示文摘Tracking moving wideband sound sources is one of the most challenging issues in the acoustic array signal processing which is based on the direction of arrival(DOA) estimation. Compressive sensing(CS) is a recent theory exploring the signal sparsity representation, which has been proved to be superior for the DOA estimation. However, the spatial aliasing and the offset at endfire are the main obstacles for CS applied in the wideband DOA estimation. We propose a particle filter based compressive sensing method for tracking moving wideband sound sources. First, the initial DOA estimates are obtained by wideband CS algorithms. Then, the real sources are approximated by a set of particles with different weights assigned. The kernel density estimator is used as the likelihood function of particle filter. We present the results for both uniform and random linear array. Simulation results show that the spatial aliasing is disappeared and the offset at endfire is reduced. 10Radial vibration of a slit-type annular ultrasonic concentrator显示文摘The radial vibration characteristic of an annular ultrasonic concentrator with multislits is studied.Based on the electro-mechanical analogy and by introducing an area ratio coefficient,the radial vibrational equivalent circuit and the frequency equation of the concentrator are derived.The radial displacement amplitude magnification factor of it is obtained.By numerical calculating,the relationship between the radial displacement amplitude magnification factor,the resonance frequency of the concentrator at the first and second resonance and its radius ratio are investigated.Also,the relationship between the radial displacement amplitude magnification factor,the resonance frequency of the concentrator and the length,the angle and the number of the silts are analyzed.It is illustrated that a maximum of displacement amplitude magnification factor of the concentrator appears with the increase of the radius ratio,and the amplitude magnification factor increase as the length,the angle and the number of the silts increase,while the radial resonance frequency of the concentrator decreases as the length,the angle and the number of the silts increase.The theoretical resonance frequencies are in good agreement with that of the FEM simulations and measurement.LIU Shiqing GUI Fengli WANG Jiatao YANG Xianli LI Luhua 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,2:2

12Orbitofrontal cortex action of 5-hydroxytryptamine and its receptor in an acute forced swimming stress-induced depression model显示文摘BACKGROUND:The orbitofrontal cortex(OFC) is a brain region closely associated with emotion. 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) has been shown to be involved in human depression. OBJECTIVE:To investigate OFC actions and mechanisms of 5-HT and 5-HT_(1A) receptor(5-HT_(1A)R) in stress-induced depression. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed at Laboratory of Neurobiology,College of Life Science,Shaanxi Normal University between May 2006 and March 2008. MATERIALS:5-HT,p-chlorophenylalanine(PCPA,an inhibitor to tryptophan hydroxylase) and spiperone(5-HT_(1A)R antagonist) were provided by Sigma,USA;rabbit anti-rat 5-HT_(1A)R antibody was provided by Tianjin Haoyang Biological Manufacture. METHODS:A total of 40 male Sprague Dawley rats,aged 3 months,were randomly divided into five groups:control,model,5-HT,spiperone+5-HT,and PCPA,with 8 rats in each group.Except for control group,rats in the other four groups were used to establish depression models by forced swimming for 15 minutes.At 30 minutes before forced swimming test,0.5μL of 5-HT(12.5μg/μL), PCPA(20μg/μL),spiperone(1.3μg/μL)+5-HT(12.5μg/μL,10 minutes later),and saline were respectively injected into the OFC of 5-HT,PCPA,spiperone+5-HT,and model groups,respectively. The control group received a saline microinjection into the OFC. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Forced swimming and open field tests were employed to measure animal behaviors,and immunohistochemistry was used to analyze 5-HT_(1A)R expression in the OFC, cingulate cortex,and piriform cortex. RESULTS:(1) Compared with the model group,5-HT microinjection into the OFC prominently reduced immobility time in the forced swimming test and rearing in open field test(P<0.05); locomotion and grooming in open field test were increased,although there was no significance(P>0.05).Furthermore,following PCPA microinjection into the OFC(PCPA+forced swimming stress), immobility time in forced swimming test increased dramatically(P<0.01),locomotion and rearing in open field test declined(P<0.05 and P<0.01,respectively).Compared with the 5-HT group, 5-HT_(1A)R antagonist(spiperone+5-HT+forced swimming stress) increased immobility time in forced swimming test(P<0.01),but decreased locomotion,rearing,and grooming in open field test. (2) Forced swimming stress markedly elevated 5-HT_(1A)R expression in OFC,cingulate cortex,and piriform cortex(P<0.05 or P<0.01).
