| 1 | Flatness Control Based on Dynamic Effective Matrix for Cold Strip Mills显示文摘Steel strips are the main of steel products and flatness is an important quality indicator of steel strips. Flatness control is the key and highly difficult technique of strip mills. The bottle-neck restricting the improvement of flatness control techniques is that the research on flatness theories and control mathematic models is not in accordance with the requirement of technique developments. To build a simple, rapid and accurate explicit formulation control model has become an urgent need for the development of flatness control technique. This paper puts forward the conception of dynamic effective matrix based on the effective matrix method for flatness control proposed by the authors under the consideration of the influence of the change of parameters in rolling processes on the effective matrix, and the concept is validated by industrial productions. Three methods of the effective matrix generation are induced: the calculation method based on the flatness prediction model; the calculation method based on the data excavation in rolling processes and the direct calculation method based on the network model. A fuzzy neural network effective matrix model is built based on the clusters, and then the network structure is optimized and the high-speed-calculation problem of the dynamic effective matrix is solved. The flatness control scheme for cold strip mills is proposed based on the dynamic effective matrix. On stand 5 of the 1 220 mm five-stand 4-high cold strip tandem mill, the industrial experiment with the control methods of tilting roll and bending roll is done by the control scheme of the static effective matrix and the dynamic effective matrix, respectively. The experiment result proves that the control effect of the dynamic effective matrix is much better than that of the static effective matrix. | 2 | Vertical Vibration of Moving Strip in Rolling Process Based on Beam Theory显示文摘The shape and thickness qualities of strip are influenced by the vibration of rolling mill.At present,the researches on the vibration of rolling mill are mainly the vertical vibration and torsional vibration of single stand mill,the study on the vibration of tandem rolling mill is rare.For the vibration of tandem rolling mill,the key problem is the vibration of the moving strip between stands.In this paper,considering the dynamic of moving strip and rolling theory,the vertical vibration of moving strip in the rolling process was proposed.Take the moving strip between the two mills of tandem rolling mill in the rolling process as subject investigated,according to the theory of moving beam,the vertical vibration model of moving strip in the rolling process was established.The partial differential equation was discretized by Galerkin truncation method.The natural frequency and stability of the moving strip were investigated and the numerical simulation in time domain was made.Simulation results show that,the natural frequency was strongly influenced by the rolling velocity and tension.With increasing of the rolling velocity,the first three natural frequencies decrease,the fourth natural frequency increases;with increasing of the unit tension,when the rolling velocity is high and low,respectively,the low order dimensionless natural frequency gradually decreases and increases,respectively.According to the stability of moving strip,the critical speed was determined,and the matching relationship of the tension and rolling velocity was also determined.This model can be used to study the stability of moving strip,improve the quality of strip and develop new rolling technology from the aspect of dynamics. | SUN Jianliang PENG Yan LIU Hongmin JIANG Guangbiao | 2009 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2009,22,5: | 23 |

| 7 | The first Sinomastodon(Gomphotheriidae,Proboscidea) skull from the Quaternary in China显示文摘The first Sinomastodon(Gomphotheriidae,Proboscidea) skull of the Early Pleistocene,collected from the Renzidong Cave deposits in Anhui Province,Eastern China,is described here as S.jiangnanensis sp.nov.As the only brevirostrine trilophodont gomphotheriid known from the Old World,Sinomastodon was mainly indigenous to China from the Early Pliocene to the Pleistocene.Compared with a few single Pleistocene teeth previously found in China,S.jiangnanensis sp.nov.is represented by a relatively complete skull,mandible and dentition,which is the first discovery of a Quaternary Sinomastodon skull from China.With a brevirostrine,elephant-like skull,no lower tusks,and simple bunodont and trilophodont intermediate molars,the new species is morphologically distinct from other gomphotheres and should belong to the genus Sinomastodon.The new species is more progressive than S.hanjiangensis and the Pliocene type species S.intermedius in its skull and mandible morphology,but is evidently more primitive than the Pleistocene S.yangziensis in its molar morphology.The faunal analysis suggests that the emergence of S.jiangnanensis sp.nov.in Jiangnan area and its southward migration may have been related to a cooling event at the beginning of the Quaternary in Eastern China. | WANG Yuan JIN ChangZhu DENG ChengLong WEI GuangBiao YAN YaLinga | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,36: | 5 |

| 9 | New materials of the steppe mammoth, Mammuthus trogontherii, with discussion on the origin and evolutionary patterns of mammoths显示文摘Recently found materials indicate that the steppe mammoth, Mammuthus trogontherii, survived in northern China into the late Pleistocene. East Asia is the key area of mammoth evolution after the initial radiation of early forms out of Africa and into Eurasia at the beginning of the late Pliocene (c. 3.5–3.0 Ma). M. rumanus, M. meridionalis, M. trogontherii, and M. primige- nius probably formed a continuous and transitional evolutionary lineage within the pan-Eurasian mammoth radiation in East Asia. Each speciation event of the Eurasian mammoths was followed by a rapid and large-scale dispersal event: out of East Asia. Allopatric speciation is the main speciation pattern of Mammuthus. | 15 | Identification of a potential tumor suppressor gene, UBL3, in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective: Oncogenes have been shown to be drivers of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), yet the tumor suppressing genes involved in lung carcinogenesis remain to be systematically investigated. This study aimed to identify tumor suppressing ubiquitin pathway genes(UPGs) that were critical to lung tumorigenesis.Methods: The 696 UPGs were silenced by an siRNA screening in NSCLC cells;the potential tumor suppressing UPGs were analyzed, and their clinical significance was investigated.Results: We reported that silencing of 11 UPGs resulted in enhanced proliferation of NSCLC cells, and four UPGs(UBL3, TRIM22, UBE2 G2, and MARCH1) were significantly downregulated in tumor samples compared to that in normal lung tissues and their expression levels were positively associated with overall survival(OS) of NSCLC patients. Among these genes, UBL3 was the most significant one. UBL3 expression was decreased in tumor samples compared to that in paired normal lung tissues in 59/86(68.6%) NSCLCs, was correlated with TNM stage and sex of NSCLC patients, and was significantly higher in non-smoking patients than in smoking patients. | 16 | A New Family of Galeaspids(Jawless Stem-Gnathostomata) from the Early Silurian of Chongqing, Southwestern China显示文摘A new genus and species of agnathan Eugaleaspidiformes(Galeaspida), Yongdongaspis littoralis gen. et sp. nov., is described from the Llandovery(lower Silurian) Huixingshao Formation at Yongdong Town, Xiushan County, Chongqing, southwestern China. This new Telychian taxon morphologically exhibits some transitional states between Sinogaleaspidae and a cluster of higher eugaleaspidiforms containing Tridensaspidae, Eugaleaspidae, Yunnanogaleaspis, and Nochelaspis, which we term here as the ’eugaleaspid cluster’. Phylogenetic analysis of an extended character matrix of Galeaspida reveals Yongdongaspis, on which Yongdongaspidae fam. nov. is erected, as the sister taxon of this ’eugaleaspid cluster’, supported by two synapomorphies, the presence of one median transverse canal, and two lateral transverse canals leaving from the infraorbital canal.
