| 2 | Abnormal expression of bHLH3 disrupts a flavonoid homeostasis network,causing differences in pigment composition among mulberry fruits显示文摘Mulberry fruits with high concentrations of anthocyanins are favored by consumers because of their good taste,bright color,and high nutritional value.However,neither the regulatory mechanism controlling flavonoid biosynthesis in mulberry nor the molecular basis of different mulberry fruit colors is fully understood.Here,we report that a flavonoid homeostasis network comprising activation and feedback regulation mechanisms determines mulberry fruit color.In vitro and in vivo assays showed that MYBA-bHLH3-TTG1 regulates the biosynthesis of anthocyanins,while TT2L1 and TT2L2 work with bHLH3 or GL3 and form a MYB-bHLH-WD40(MBW)complex with TTG1 to regulate proanthocyanidin(PA)synthesis.Functional and expression analyses showed that bHLH3 is a key regulator of the regulatory network controlling mulberry fruit coloration and that MYB4 is activated by MBW complexes and participates in negative feedback control of the regulatory network to balance the accumulation of anthocyanins and proanthocyanidins.Our research demonstrates that the interaction between bHLH3 and MYB4 in the homeostasis regulatory network ensures that the fruits accumulate desirable flavonoids and that this network is stable in pigmentrich mulberry fruits.However,the abnormal expression of bHLH3 disrupts the balance of the network and redirects flavonoid metabolic flux in pale-colored fruits,resulting in differences in the levels and proportions of anthocyanins,flavones,and flavonols among differently colored mulberry fruits(red,yellow,and white).The results of our study reveal the molecular basis of the diversity of mulberry fruit colors. | Han Li Zhen Yang Qiwei Zeng Shibo Wang Yiwei Luo Yan Huang Youchao Xin Ningjia He | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 8 |
| 3 | The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. | 7 | The effect of enzymes on release of trace elements in feedstuffs based on in vitro digestion model for monogastric livestock显示文摘Background: This experiment was conducted to study the effect of different feed enzymes(phytase,xylanase,β-glucanase) on release rate of trace elements(Fe,Cu,Mn and Zn) in 6 commonly used feedstuffs(corn,wheat,barley,soybean meal,wheat bran,wheat middlings) by using an in vitro model,simulating the digestive processes in stomach for 2 h and then in small intestine for 6 h at 39 °C.Results: Phytase raised(P < 0.05) the release rate of Cu and Zn in corn,Cu,Zn and Mn in wheat,Cu in barley,Cu,Zn and Mn in soybean meal,Zn,Fe in wheat bran and Zn,Fe,Mn in wheat middlings.The release rate of various trace elements in feedstuffs was increased after xylanase addition.Compared with the control group,the release rate of soluble Cu in corn,wheat,barley and soybean meal,soluble Zn in corn,wheat and wheat middlings and soluble of Mn in corn,wheat,barley and wheat bran increased(P < 0.05) after xylanase treatment.After the treatment of β-glucanase,the release rate of soluble Cu in corn,wheat and wheat bran,soluble Fe in barley,soybean meal and wheat bran and soluble Mn in corn and wheat bran all increased(P < 0.05) compared with the control group.In each feedstuff,after corresponding enzyme treatment,the contents of phytic acid,xylan and β-glucan were significantly lower than those of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusions: Results showed that bound trace elements in feedstuffs can be released by feed enzymes.It may be necessary to take the trace elements in feedstuffs into account in the actual feed preparation including feed enzymes. | Xiaonan Yu Jianan Han Haiyun Li Yiwei Zhang Jie Feng | 2019 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,1: | 2 |

| 9 | Simultaneous determination of four Sudan dyes in rat blood by UFLC–MS/MS and its application to a pharmacokinetic study in rats显示文摘A rapid and sensitive method based on ultrafast liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of Sudan I, Sudan II, Sudan III, and Sudan IV levels in rat whole blood. Cleanert C18 mixed-mode polymeric sorbent was used for effective solid-phase extraction cleanup. Separation was carried out on a reversed-phase C18column(100 mm 2.1 mm,1.8 μm) using 0.1%(v/v) formic acid in water/0.1%(v/v) formic acid in acetonitrile as the mobile phase in gradient elution. Quanti fi cation was performed by an electrospray ionization source in the positive multiple reaction monitoring mode using D5-Sudan I as the internal standard. Calibration curves showed good linearity between 0.2 and 20.0 μg/L, with correlation coef fi cients higher than 0.9990. The average recovery rates were between 93.05% and 114.98%. The intra- and inter-day relative standard deviations were within 6.2%. The lower limit of quanti fi cation was 0.2 μg/L. All the analytes were found to be stable in a series of stability studies. | 11 | Dynamic Changes of ORF1ab and N Gene Ct Values in COVID-19 Omicron Inpatients of Different Age Groups—Beijing Municipality,China,November-December 2022显示文摘Introduction:In November 2021,the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron variant was identified as the variant of concern and has since spread globally,replacing other cocirculating variants.To better understand the dynamic changes in viral load over time and the natural history of the virus infection,we analyzed the expression of the open reading frames 1ab(ORF1ab)and nucleocapsid(N)genes in patients infected with Omicron.Methods:We included patients initially admitted to the hospital for SARS-CoV-2 infection between November 5 and December 25,2022.We collected daily oropharyngeal swabs for quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction tests using commercial kits.We depicted the cycle threshold(Ct)values for amplification of ORF1ab and N genes from individual patients in age-specific groups in a time series.Results:A total of 480 inpatients were included in the study,with a median age of 59 years(interquartile range,42 to 78;range,16 to 106).In the<45-year-old age group,the Ct values for ORF1ab and N gene amplification remained below 35 for 9.0 and 11.5 days,respectively.In the≥80-year-old age group,the Ct values for ORF1ab and N genes stayed below 35 for 11.5 and 15.0 days,respectively,which was the longest among all age groups.The Ct values for N gene amplification took longer to rise above 35 than those for ORF1ab gene amplification.Conclusion:The time to test negative varied among different age groups,with viral nucleic acid shedding taking longer in older age groups compared to younger age groups.As a result,the time to resolution of Omicron infection increased with increasing age. | Qing Zhang Zhaomin Feng Yiwei Hao Lirong Wei Aibin Wang Zhixing Han Meimei Tian Sheng Sun Xin'gang Li Tianjiao Xue Xiangjing Kong Baoliang Li Cheng Kou Quanyi Wang Da Huo Linghang Wang | 2023 | China CDC weekly2023,5,8: | 0 |

| 13 | HOXB8 contributed to oxaliplatin chemo-resistance in colon cancercells by activating STAT3显示文摘Background:Homeobox B8(HOXB8),a member of HOX family,plays a key role in the development of colorectal cancer(CRC).However,the function of HOXB8 in oxaliplatin(OXA)resistance in CRC is still unclear.This study investigated the role and precise molecular mechanism of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC cells.Methods:The cell viability was measured by the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT)assay,and the colony forming ability was determined by colony formation assay.The silencing RNA(siRNA)approach was used to knockdown HOXB8 in CRC cells while the lentiviral transfection system was used to establish stable HOXB8 overexpressing CRC cells.The protein and mRNA levels were evaluated by western blot and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.Results:HOXB8 expression was upregulated in OXA-resistant HCT116 cells(HCT116/OXA)compared to its level in the parent HCT116 cells.Knockdown of HOXB8 significantly inhibited CRC cell growth by suppressing the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)pathway.HOXB8 knockdown also potentiated cytotoxicity of OXA in CRC cells.Inversely,HOXB8 overexpression attenuated OXAinduced growth inhibition of HCT116 cells and RKO cells by activating STAT3 signaling.HOXB8 knockdown effectively inhibited HCT116/OXA cell viability regardless of OXA treatment by suppressing STAT3 signaling.Conclusions:These results shed light on the important functions of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC and suggested that targeting HOXB8 might be an effective therapeutic strategy for select OXA-resistant CRC patients. | LIANLI NI YUN YU HAN LIN WEISHAN ZHUGE LU TAO YIWEI SHEN RI CUI SHAOTANG LI | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,10: | 0 |

| 15 | Survival outcomes of conversion surgery for metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma after neoadjuvant therapy显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the survival outcomes of patients who underwent conversion surgery for metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(mPDAC)after neoadjuvant therapy(NAT)and to identify potential candidates that may benefit from this treat-ment strategy.Background:The role and eligibility population of conversion surgery for mPDAC remains controversial in the era of NAT.Methods:A consecutive cohort of patients diagnosed with mPDAC and treated with NAT followed by conversion surgery be-tween 2019 and 2021 were confirmed from a prospective database maintained by the Department of Pancreatic Hepatobiliary Surgery of Changhai Hospital.In accordance with residual metastases and technical resectability after NAT,patients were classi-fied as the complete pathological response of metastases(ypM0)resection group,residual metastases(ypM1)resection group,and exploration group.Median overall survival(mOS)was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method,uni-and multivariable cox regression was performed to identify clinicopathological predictors of OS.Results:A total of 244 patients with mPDAC were identified from the prospective database,with 19(7.8%)patients who un-derwent ypM0 resection,22(9.0%)underwent ypM1 resection,and 23(9.4%)underwent explorative laparotomy.The mOS was 32.6 months for ypM0 resected patients,15.1 months for ypM1 resected patients,and 13.4 months for those who underwent explorative laparotomy(P<.001).Univariable and multivariable Cox regression analyses confirmed that ypM0 resection,normal-ization of preoperative CA19-9 levels,and continued adjuvant therapy were independent prognostic factors of conversion surgery for mPDAC after NAT.Subgroup analyses revealed that oligometastases and continued adjuvant therapy were associated with improved prognosis in the ypM1 resection group.Conclusion:In patients with mPDAC who underwent NAT followed by conversion surgery,the complete pathological response of metastases,normalization of preoperative CA19-9 levels,and continued adjuvant therapy were independent risk factors for prognosis.Patients with residual oligometastases after treatment were expected to prolong survival through resection.These patients may benefit from conversion surgery and should be potential candidates for this treatment strategy. | Lingyu Zhu Suizhi Gao Xinqian Wu Bo Li Xiaohan Shi Xiaoyi Yin Huan Wang Meilong Shi Penghao Li Yikai Li Chaoliang Zhong Chuanqi Teng Jiawei Han Yiwei Ren Jian Wang Zhendong Fua Xinyu Liu Kailian Zheng Shiwei Guo Gang Jin | 2023 | Journal of Pancreatology2023,6,3: | 0 |

| 19 | Carbonate Ontology and Its Application for Integrating Microfacies Data显示文摘Carbonate rocks record essential information on changes in paleoclimate and paleoceanography. Abundant geological and geochemical data of carbonate rocks have been accumulated over the past decades;however, most of the data are stored in the published literature with highly unstructured forms, and are thus difficult to reuse. The ontology is a standard knowledge model for data integration, which can promote data storage and reutilization. This study proposes a carbonate ontology that represents the concepts in carbonate microfacies. The carbonate ontology constructed by the top-down process contains 215 terms of classifications and petrographic descriptions of carbonate rocks. Furthermore, carbonate microfacies of the Cretaceous(Aptian) carbonate platform in the Betic Cordillera and Jurassic carbonate platform in Tibet provide the data from case studies for the testing and initial validation of the proposed ontology. | 20 | Straightforward construction of hollow polyoxometalate-based metal-organic framework via pseudo-homoepitaxial growth显示文摘Hollow structures are significant for shortening diffusion path and promoting active center exposure.Single-crystalline hollow polyoxometalate-based metal-organic frameworks(POM@MOFs)with increased adsorption performance and catalytic activity were synthesized through a straightforward pseudo-homoepitaxial growth strategy within only 1.5 min.The strategy ingeniously exploits favorable characteristics of well-matched lattice/structure but acid stability difference between MOF and POM@MOF to construct a pseudo-homoepitaxial structure.Specifically,the MOF single crystals are used as seeds to perform epitaxial growth of the lattice/structure-matched POM@MOF under appropriate conditions.Interestingly,the MOF seeds collapse spontaneously during epitaxial growth,affording regular hollow POM@MOF single crystals.Because the acid stability of the POM@MOF is much higher than that of the MOF,it is speculated that the hollow structure formation may be related to the acid released from the epitaxial POM@MOF growth.And the pseudo-homoepitaxial POM@MOF growth strategy based on structural matching but stability difference avoids additional template removal process in conventional hollow MOF preparation and ensures hollow single crystal construction. | Zhong Zhang Xujiao Ma Xu Han Hong Cui Ying Lu Shuxia Liu Yiwei Liu | 2022 | Science China Chemistry2022,65,10: | 0 |
