| 7 | Microstructure improvement related coercivity enhancement for sintered NdFeB magnets after optimized additional heat treatment显示文摘The micro structure, especially the Nd-rich phase and the grain boundary, in sintered NdFeB magnets plays an important role in magnetic reversal and coercivity mechanism. To better understand the effects of the microstructure on the coercivity, we investigated the microstructure and properties improvements of a commercial sintered NdFeB magnet after optimized additional heat treatment. The coercivity is enhanced from 1399 to 1560 kA/m. This enhancement has been explained in terms of the evolution of the grain boundary structure, and the formation of continuous thin layers of Nd-rich phase is important for high coercivity. The micromagnetic simulation together with the numerical analysis based on the nucleation model suggest that the reversed magnetic domains nucleate mainly at the interface of multijunctions of Nd_2 Fe_(14)B grains with high stray fields during the demagnetization process. Both improved anisotropy fields at grain boundaries and reduced stray fields at multi-junction Nd-rich phases contribute to the coercivity enhancement. | 8 | Size and elemental composition of dry-deposited particles during a severe dust storm at a coastal site of Eastern China显示文摘Dry-deposited particles were collected during the passage of an extremely strong dust storm in March, 2010 at a coastal site in Qingdao(36.15°N, 120.49°E), a city located in Eastern China. The size, morphology, and elemental composition of the particles were quantified with a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray instrument(SEM–EDX). The particles appeared in various shapes, and their size mainly varied from 0.4to 10 μm, with the mean diameters of 0.5, 1.5, and 1.0 μm before, during, and after the dust storm, respectively. The critical size of the mineral particles settling on the surface in the current case was about 0.3–0.4 μm before the dust storm and about 0.5–0.7 μm during the dust storm. Particles that appeared in high concentration but were smaller than the critical size deposited onto the surface at a small number flux. The elements Al, Si and Mg were frequently detected in all samples, indicating the dominance of mineral particles. The frequency of Al in particles collected before the dust storm was significantly lower than for those collected during and after the dust storm. The frequencies of Cl and Fe did not show obvious changes, while those of S, K and Ca decreased after the dust arrival. | 9 | Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with acute leukemia显示文摘Objective: The purposes of this study were to assess the efficacy of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for acute leukemia (AL) and analyze the factors affecting the prognosis of these patients. Methods: The clinical and follow-up data of 93 AL patients (median age, 30 years) undergoing allogeneic HSCT in Xiangya Hospital over the past 12 years were collected, and the potential factors affecting the efficacy and prognosis of allogeneic HSCT patients were determined. Results: Hematopoietic reconstitution was achieved in 90 patients. At the last follow-up, the incidences of severe acute graft versus host disease (aGvHD) and extensive chronic GvHD (cGvHD) were 14.0% and 20.0%, the 3-year cumulative incidence of transplantation related mortality (TRM) and relapse rate were 16.8%±6.1% and 21.3%±6.7%, and the estimated 3-year overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of the patients were 64.6%±5.4% and 56.5%±5.5%, respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, and severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation were risk factors for severe aGvHD, age older than 40 years, HLA mismatch, severe lung infection within the first 100 days after transplantation, and severe aGvHD were risk factors for TRM, high-risk AL and lack of cGvHD were risk factors for relapse (all P<0.05). Survival estimation showed that HLA mismatch, severe lung infection occurring within the first 100 days post-transplantation, high-risk AL severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were risk factors associated with poor prognosis (all P<0.05). Further multivariate analyses revealed that severe lung infection within the first 100 days post-transplantation, severe aGvHD and lack of cGvHD were independent risk factors for unfavorable outcomes (all P<0.05). | 12 | Improving utilization of nests and decreasing mislaid eggs with narrow width of group nests显示文摘Provision of nest boxes is necessary for laying hens,especially in non-cage systems.This study investigated the effects of nest width on nest utilization and mislaid eggs.Hy-Line Browns hens were transferred from conventional cages to perchery pens at 12 weeks of age.Two experiments were conducted to mutually verify the hypothesis that narrowing group nests would improve nest utilization and reduce mislaid eggs.In experiment 1,group nests of 150 cm wide in two pens were partitioned at intervals of 50 cm and 37 cm,respectively.In experiment 2,partition panels were removed after acclimation.The number of mislaid eggs and nest eggs in each pre-set section were compared.Results indicated that narrowing group nests had positive effects on improving usage uniformity and efficiency of group nests.Nest eggs were more evenly distributed on the egg belt in both narrowed group nests,which was indicated by the significant decrease of variance among different sections(p<0.001).The proportion of mislaid eggs decreased by 3.5%in 37 cm treatment(p<0.05)and 4.7% in 50 cm treatment(p<0.001),respectively.As expected,reuse of the 150 cm group nests after removal of partition panels lowered the usage uniformity of group nests.A growth of three percentage points was found for the proportion of mislaid eggs after removing the partition panels in 50 cm treatment.The present results indicated that it is the width of the nest box that works for a better use of group nests.In conclusion,adding partition panels at intervals of 50 cm and 37 cm in group nests both are effective on nest usage and decreasing the occurrence of mislaid eggs. | Hongya Zheng Baoming Li Gang Chen Chaoyuan Wang | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,1: | 2 |

The correlation degree of the process factors affecting eave, a and dmax is analyzed by the numerical simulation results using the weights and grey association model. The process parameters are optimized by introducing the grey situation decision theory and the ECSEE optimal combination of process parameters is obtained: u of 120 , m of 1.55, L1 of 7 mm, L2 of 10 mm, and L3 of 10 mm. Simulation and experimental results show that the material can be refined with the optimized structural parameters of die. | 14 | Tropical cyclone spiral band extraction and center locating by binary ant colony optimization显示文摘Tropical cyclone (TC) center locating is crucial because it lays the foundation for TC forecasting. Locating TC centers, usually by manual means, continues to present many difficulties. Not least is the problem of inconsistency between TC center locations forecast by different agencies. In this paper, an objective TC center locating scheme is developed, using infrared satellite images. We introduce a pattern-matching concept, which we illustrate using a spiral curve model. A spiral band model, based on a spiral band region, is designed to extract the spiral cloud-rain bands (SCRBs) of TCs. We propose corresponding criteria on which to score the fitting value of a candidate template defined by our models. In the proposed scheme, TC location is an optimization problem, solved by an ant colony optimization algorithm. In numerical experiments, a minimal mean distance error of 17.9 km is obtained when the scheme is tested against best-track data. | 16 | The egg cell is preferentially fertilized in Arabidopsis double fertilization显示文摘In flowering plants(angiosperms),fertilization of the egg cell by one sperm cell produces an embryo,whereas fusion of a second sperm cell with the central cell generates the endosperm.In most angiosperms like Arabidopsis,a pollen grain contains two isomorphic sperm cells required for this double fertilization process.A long-standing unsolved question is whether the two fertilization events have any preference.A tool to address this question is the usage of the cyclin-dependent kinase a1(cdka;1)mutant pollen,which produces a single sperm-like cell(SLC).Here,we first adopt a complementation-based fluorescence-labeling method to successfully separate and collect cdka;1 mutant pollen containing a single SLC.Single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that cdka;1 SLCs show a gene expression profile highly similar to that of sperm cells and not to the generative cell,precursor of the two sperm cells.Pollination assays using a limited number of cdka;1 mutant pollen revealed that in 98.2%of the ovules,single fertilization of the egg cell occurred.Pollination of pistils with excessive cdka;1 mutant pollen allowed the delivery of a second SLC via fertilization recovery,which fertilized the central cell,resulting in 20.7%double-fertilized ovules.This indicates that cdka;1 SLCs are able to fertilize both the egg and the central cell.Taken together,our findings have answered a long-standing question and support that preferential fertilization of the egg cell is evident in Arabidopsis. | Ling Li Saiying Hou Wei Xiang Zihan Song Yuan Wang Li Zhang Jing Li Hongya Gu Juan Dong Thomas Dresselhaus Sheng Zhong Li-Jia Qu | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,11: | 1 |
