| 2 | Corticoreticular tract lesion in children with developmental delay presenting with gait dysfunction and trunk instability显示文摘The corticoreticular tract(CRT) is known to be involved in walking and postural control. Using diffusion tensor tractography(DTT), we investigated the relationship between the CRT and gait dysfunction, including trunk instability, in pediatric patients. Thirty patients with delayed development and 15 age-matched,typically-developed(TD) children were recruited. Fifteen patients with gait dysfunction(bilateral trunk instability) were included in the group A, and the other 15 patients with gait dysfunction(unilateral trunk instability) were included in the group B. The Growth Motor Function Classification System, Functional Ambulation Category scale, and Functional Ambulation Category scale were used for measurement of functional state. Fractional anisotropy, apparent diffusion coefficient, fiber number, and tract integrity of the CRT and corticospinal tract were measured. Diffusion parameters or integrity of corticospinal tract were not significantly different in the three study groups. However, CRT results revealed that both CRTs were disrupted in the group A, whereas CRT disruption in the hemispheres contralateral to clinical manifestations was observed in the group B. Fractional anisotropy values and fiber numbers in both CRTs were decreased in the group A than in the group TD. The extents of decreases of fractional anisotropy values and fiber numbers on the ipsilateral side relative to those on the contralateral side were greater in the group B than in the group TD. Functional evaluation data and clinical manifestations were found to show strong correlations with CRT status, rather than with corticospinal tract status. These findings suggest that CRT status appears to be clinically important for gait function and trunk stability in pediatric patients and DTT can help assess CRT status in pediatric patients with gait dysfunction. | Yong Min Kwon Jessica Rose Ae Ryoung Kim Su Min Son | 2017 | Neural Regeneration Research2017,12,9: | 1 |

| 5 | Removal and desorption of chromium in synthetic effluent by a mixed culture in a bioreactor with a magnetic field显示文摘Two chromium removal experiments were performed in bioreactors with and without a magnetic field under the same conditions. The release of the chromium present in the biomass was tested in two experiments one with the initial pH of the medium and one with pH 4.0.The objective was to remove Cr(Ⅵ)and total Cr from the effluent, this was carried out by placing biological treatments of synthetic effluent contaminated with 100 mg/L of Cr(Ⅵ)in a bioreactor with neodymium magnets that applied a magnetic field(intensity85.4 mT)to the mixed culture. The removal of Cr(Ⅵ)was approximately 100.0%for the bioreactor with a magnetic field and 93,3%for the bioreactor without a magnetic field for9 hr of recirculation of the synthetic effluent by the bioreactor. The removal of total Cr was61.6%and 48.4%,with and without a magnetic field, respectively;for 24 hr.The desorption of Cr(VI)in the synthetic effluent was 0.05 mg/L,which is below the limit established by Brazilian legislation(0.1 mg/L)for the discharge of effluent containing Cr(Ⅵ)into bodies of water. The results obtained for the removal of chromium in synthetic effluent suggested that there was no significant influence on the viable cell count of the mixed culture. The desorption of Cr(Ⅵ)in synthetic effluent after bioadsorption of chromium by the mixed culture in the process of removal of chromium in bioreactors with and without a magnetic field was not significant in either of the experiments with different initial pHs. | Roseli MDias Jessica GSilva Vicelma LCardoso Miriam Mde Resende | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5: | 1 |

| 11 | Developing a platform to evaluate and assess the security of wearable devices显示文摘Operating in a body area network around a smartphone user, wearables serve a variety of commercial, medical and personal uses. Depending on a certain smartphone application, a wearable can capture sensitive data about the user and provide critical, possibly life-or-death, functionality. When using wearables, security problems might occur on hardware/software of wearables, connected phone apps or web services devices, or Bluetooth channels used for communication. This paper develops an open source platform called SecuWear for identifying vulnerabilities in these areas and facilitating wearable security research to mitigate them. SecuWear supports the creation, evaluation, and analysis of security vulnerability tests on actual hardwares. Extending earlier results, this paper includes an empirical evaluation that demonstrates proof of concept attacks on commercial wearable devices and shows how SecuWear captures the information necessary for identifying such attacks. Also included is a process for releasing attack and mitigation information to the security community. | Matthew L. Hale Kerolos Lotfy Rose F.
