| 3 | Screen-imaging guidance using a modified portable video macroscope for middle cerebral artery occlusion显示文摘The use of operating microscopes is limited by the focal length.Surgeons using these instruments cannot simultaneously view and access the surgical field and must choose one or the other.The longer focal length (more than 1 000 mm) of an operating telescope permits a position away from the operating field,above the surgeon and out of the field of view.This gives the telescope an advantage over an operating microscope.We developed a telescopic system using screen-imaging guidance and a modified portable video macroscope constructed from a Computar MLH-10 × macro lens,a DFK-21AU04 USB CCD Camera and a Dell laptop computer as monitor screen.This system was used to establish a middle cerebral artery occlusion model in rats.Results showed that magnification of the modified portable video macroscope was appropriate (5-20 ×) even though the Computar MLH-10 × macro lens was placed 800 mm away from the operating field rather than at the specified working distance of 152.4 mm with a zoom of 1-40 ×.The screen-imaging telescopic technique was clear,life-like,stereoscopic and matched the actual operation.Screen-imaging guidance led to an accurate,smooth,minimally invasive and comparatively easy surgical procedure.Success rate of the model establishment evaluated by neurological function using the modified neurological score system was 74.07%.There was no significant difference in model establishment time,sensorimotor deficit and infarct volume percentage.Our findings indicate that the telescopic lens is effective in the screen surgical operation mode referred to as 'long distance observation and short distance operation' and that screen-imaging guidance using an modified portable video macroscope can be utilized for the establishment of a middle cerebral artery occlusion model and micro-neurosurgery. | Xingbao Zhu Junli Luo Yun Liu Guolong Chen Song Liu Qiangjin Ruan Xunding Deng Dianchun Wang Quanshui Fan Xinghua Pan | 2012 | Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,12: | 6 |
| 4 | Hexokinase II promotes the Warburg effect by phosphorylating alpha subunit of pyruvate dehydrogenase显示文摘Objective: Tumor cells rely heavily on glycolysis regardless of oxygen tension, a phenomenon called the Warburg effect. Hexokinase II(HKII) catalyzes the first irreversible step of glycolysis and is often overexpressed in tumor cells. Mitochondrial HKII couples glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation while maintaining mitochondrial membrane integrity. In this study, we investigated the role of HKII in promoting the Warburg effect in cancer cells.Methods: HKII-mediated phosphorylation of the alpha subunit of pyruvate dehydrogenase(PDHA1) was tested in HEK293 T cells and clear cell renal cell carcinoma(cc RCC) specimens using gene knockdown, western blotting,immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.Results: It was determined that HKII could not only transform glucose into glucose-6-phosphate, but also transfer the phosphate group of ATP onto PDHA1. In addition, it was found that HKII increased the phosphorylation of Ser293 on PDHA1, decreasing pyruvate dehydrogenase(PDH) complex activity and thus rerouting the metabolic pathway and promoting the Warburg effect. | 5 | Uptake of oxidative stress-mediated extracellular vesicles by vascular endothelial cells under low magnitude shear stress显示文摘Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are increasingly used as delivery vehicles for drugs and bioactive molecules,which usually require intravascular administration.The endothelial cells covering the inner surface of blood vessels are susceptible to the shear stress of blood flow.Few studies demonstrate the interplay of red blood cell-derived EVs(RBCEVs)and endothelial cells.Thus,the phagocytosis of EVs by vascular endothelial cells during blood flow needs to be elucidated.In this study,red blood cell-derived extracellular vesicles(RBCEVs)were constructed to investigate endothelial cell phagocytosis in vitro and animal models.Results showed that low magnitude shear stress including low shear stress(LSS)and oscillatory shear stress(OSS)could promote the uptake of RBCEVs by endothelial cells in vitro.In addition,in zebrafish and mouse models,RBCEVs tend to be internalized by endothelial cells under LSS or OSS.Moreover,RBCEVs are easily engulfed by endothelial cells in atherosclerotic plaques exposed to LSS or OSS.In terms of mechanism,oxidative stress induced by LSS is part of the reason for the increased uptake of endothelial cells.Overall,this study shows that vascular endothelial cells can easily engulf EVs in areas of low magnitude shear stress,which will provide a theoretical basis for the development and utilization of EVs-based nano-drug delivery systems in vivo. | Xian Qin Kun Zhang Juhui Qiu Nan Wang Kai Qu Yuliang Cui Junli Huang Li Luo Yuan Zhong Tian Tian Wei Wu Yi Wang Guixue Wang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,3: | 3 |
| 6 | Time Sequence of Himalayan Endogenetic Mineralization on the East Side of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘Among the endogenetic deposits in the Sanjiang area and at the west margin of the Yangtze platform, Himalayan deposits are the most important and contribute a large proportion of the resources of superlarge deposits. Among the controlled resources of this region, 84% of copper resources, 67% of Pb-Zn, 31% of Ag, 77% of gold and 24% of tin come from Himalayan deposits on the east side of the Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Himalayan endogenetic mineralization shows a relatively complete sequence evolution in the Sanjiang area and on the west margin of the Yangtze platform. Mineralization is manifested by gold deposits related to K-rich lamprophyre, REE deposits related to alkalic complexes and Cu-Au-polymetallic deposits related to alkaline porphyry. Six sequences of mineralization evolution since 65 Ma B.P. in the Sanjiang area and on the west side of the Yangtze platform can be recognized. | 7 | Main Mechanism for Generating Overpressure in the Paleogene Source Rock Series of the Chezhen Depression,Bohai Bay Basin, China显示文摘The Chezhen depression,located in the south of Bohai Bay Basin,is an oil-producing basin in China. The third and fourth members of the Shahejie Formation(E(s3) and E(s4)) are the main source rock series in the Chezhen depression. Widespread overpressures occurred in the E(s3) and E(s4) from the depths of approximately 2 000 to 4 600 m,with the maximum pressure coefficient of 1.98 from drillstem tests(DST). Among the sonic,resistivity and density logs,sonic-log is the only reliable pressure indicator and can be used to predict the pore pressure with Eaton's method. All the overpressured mudstones in the source rock series have higher acoustic traveltimes compared with normally pressured mudstones at a given depth. The overpressured mudstones in the E(s3) and E(s4) units are characterized by a normal geothermal gradient,high average density values up to 2.5 g/cm^3,strong present-day hydrocarbon generation capability,abundant mature organic matter and high contents of residual hydrocarbons estimated by the Rock-Eval S1 values and chloroform-soluble bitumen 'A' values. All suggest that the dominant mechanism for overpressure in the mudstones of source rock series in the Chezhen depression is hydrocarbon generation. A comparison between the matrix porosity of the normally pressured sandstones and overpressured sandstones,the quantitative evaluation of porosity loss caused by compaction and the conventional thin section inspection demonstrate that the sandstones in the Chezhen depression were normally compacted. | 10 | Slurry-like hybrid electrolyte with high lithium-ion transference number for dendrite-free lithium metal anode显示文摘Lithium metal anode is regarded as the ultimate choice for next-generation energy storage systems,due to the lowest negative electrochemical potential and super high theoretical specific capacity.However,the growth of lithium dendrite during the cycling process is still one of the most critical bottlenecks for its application.In this work,a slurry-like hybrid electrolyte is proposed towards the application for lithium metal anode,which is composed of a liquid electrolyte part and a nanometric silane-Al2O3 particle part.The hybrid electrolyte shows high ionic conductivity(3.89×10-3 S cm-1 at 25℃)and lithium-ion transference number(0.88).Especially,the resistance of hybrid electrolyte decreases compared to that of liquid electrolyte,while the viscosity of hybrid electrolyte increases.It is demonstrated that the hybrid electrolyte can effectively suppress the growth of lithium dendrite.Stable cycling of Li/Li cells at a current density up to 1 mA cm-2 is possible.The hybrid electrolyte helps to uniform the lithium ion flux inside the battery and partly comes from the formation of a rigid and highly conductive hybrid interfacial layer on the surface of lithium metal.This work not only provides a fresh way to stabilize lithium metal anode but also sheds light on further research for electrolyte optimization and design of lithium metal battery system. | Hewei Xu Ying He Zibo Zhang Junli Shi Pingying Liu Ziqi Tian Kan Luo Xiaozhe Zhang Suzhe Liang Zhaoping Liu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,9: | 1 |
