| 1 | The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic,progressive and debilitating disease,which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor,muscular rigidity,bradykinesia and postural instability.As the disease progresses,additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago,there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians,leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then,the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved.Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence,and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed,including physical activity and disease-modifying medication,which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease.The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications.Moreover,different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly,treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China. | Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao | 2016 | Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1: | 23 |

| 8 | Moisture Origins and Transport Processes for the 2020 Yangtze River Valley Record-Breaking Mei-yu Rainfall显示文摘The summer of 2020 recorded a record-breaking flood due to excessive mei-yu rain falling over the Yangtze River Valley(YRV).Using the Lagrangian model FLEXPART,this paper investigates moisture sources and transport processes behind this extreme event.Based on climate data from 1979 to 2019,the air-particle(an infinitesimally small air parcel)trajectories reaching the YRV show sectors that correspond to five main moisture sources:the Indian monsoon region(IND,27.5%of the total rainfall),the local evaporation(27.4%),the Western Pacific Ocean(WPO,21.3%),the Eurasian continent(8.5%)and Northeast Asia(4.4%).In the 2020 mei-yu season,moisture from all source regions was above normal except that from Northeast Asia.A record-breaking moisture source from the IND and WPO dominated this extreme mei-yu flood in 2020,which was 1.5 and 1.6 times greater than the climate mean,respectively.This study reveals a significant relationship between the moisture source with three moisture transport processes,i.e.,trajectory density,moisture content,and moisture uptake of air-particles.A broad anomalous anticyclonic circulation over the Indo-Northwestern Pacific(Indo-NWP)provides a favorable environment to enhance the moisture transport from the IND and WPO into the YRV.In the 2020 mei-yu season,a record-breaking Indo-NWP anomalous anticyclonic circulation contributed to a higher trajectory density as well as higher moisture content and moisture uptake of air-particles from the IND and WPO regions.This collectively resulted in unprecedented moisture transport from source origins,thus contributing to the mei-yu flood over the YRV in 2020. | Lixia ZHANG Dan ZHAO Tianjun ZHOU Dongdong PENG Chan XIAO | 2021 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2021,38,12: | 4 |

| 14 | A spatialized digital database for all bird species in China显示文摘The lack of refined spatial detail on bird distribution in China has hindered further research due to the large geographic unit(provincial level) in existing national bird distribution data. Based on multi-source bird distribution data, we built a more spatially detailed distribution database for every bird species(1,371 species) in China, covering 2,908 counties. The sources on bird distribution are grouped into six categories: Handbooks, Literature; Fauna, Avifauna; Paper; Citizen Science data by ornithologists or birders; GPS tracing; and Website data. The database contains the following records: taxonomy, distribution data, suspicious species information, and data sources. Our database recorded 835 species(61%) appearing outside the distribution range previously known. The use of provincial boundaries as the smallest geographical unit has created misleading distribution results due to geographic aggregation for most species. The new database was built based on increased observational frequency and individuals observed in previously undetected areas particularly in Western China and towards higher altitudes and latitudes. They coincided with the discovery of the range expansion of some waterfowls into Xinjiang. | 15 | Serum from Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure Patients May Affect Mesenchymal Stem Cells Transplantation by Impairing the Immunosuppressive Function of Cells显示文摘Background and Aims:The safety and efficacy of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)in the treatment of acute-onchronic liver failure(ACLF)have been validated.However,the impact of the pathological ACLF microenvironment on MSCs is less well understood.This study was designed to explore the changes in the functional properties of MSCs exposed to ACLF serum.Methods:MSCs were cultured in the presence of 10%,30%and 50%serum concentrations from ACLF patients and healthy volunteers.Then,the cell morphology,phenotype,apoptosis and proliferation of MSCs were evaluated,including the immunosuppressive effects.Subsequently,mRNA sequencing analysis was used to identify the molecules and pathways involved in MSC functional changes in the context of ACLF.Results:In the presence of ACLF serum,MSC morphology significantly changed but phenotype did not.Besides,MSC proliferation activity was weakened,while the apoptosis rate was lightly increased.Most importantly,the immunosuppressive function of MSCs was enhanced in a lowconcentration serum environment but transformed into a proinflammatory response in a high-concentration serum environment.RNA sequencing indicated that 10%serum concentration from ACLF patients mediated the PI3K-Akt pathway to enhance the anti-inflammatory effect of MSCs,while the 50%serum concentration from ACLF patients promoted the conversion of MSCs into a proinflammatory function by affecting the cell cycle.Conclusions:The 50%ACLF serum concentration is more similar to the environment in the human body,which means that direct peripheral blood intravenous infusion of MSCs may reduce the effect of transplantation.Combining treatments of plasma exchange to reduce harmful substances in serum may promote MSCs to exert a stronger anti-inflammatory effect. | Yongyuan Zheng Shu Zhu Xingrong Zheng Wenxiong Xu Xuejun Li Jianguo Li Zhiliang Gao Chan Xie Liang Peng | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,4: | 2 |

| 17 | Implications of anti-parietal cell antibodies and anti-Helicobacter pylori antibodies in histological gastritis and patient outcome显示文摘AIM: To develop a serum or histological marker for early discovery of gastric atrophy or intestinal metaplasia. METHODS: This study enrolled 44 patients with gastric adenocarcinoma, 52 patients with duodenal ulcer, 14 patients with gastric ulcer and 42 consecutive healthy adults as controls. Each patient received an endoscopy and five biopsy samples were obtained. The degrees of histological parameters of gastritis were categorized following the Updated Sydney System. Anti-parietal cell antibodies (APCA) and anti-Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) antibodies (AHPA) were analyzed by immunoassays. H pylori infection was diagnosed by rapid urease test and histological examination. RESULTS: Patients with gastric cancer and gastric ulcer are significantly older than healthy subjects, while also displaying higher frequency of APCA than healthy controls. Patients with positive APCA showed higher scores in gastric atrophy and intestinal metaplasia of corpus than patients with negative APCA. Patients with positive AHPA had higher scores in gastric atrophy, intestinal metaplasia, and gastric inflammation of antrum than those patients with negative AHPA. Elderly patients had greater prevalence rates of APCA. Following multivariant logistic regression analysis, the only significant risk factor for antral atrophy is positive AHPA, while that for corpus atrophy is positive APCA. CONCLUSION: The existence of positive APCA correlates with glandular atrophy in corpus and the presence of positive AHPA correlates with glandular atrophy in antrum. | 18 | FTIR Spectroscopy in Cultural Heritage Studies: Non-destructive Analysis of Chinese Handmade Papers显示文摘Chinese handmade papers have been the carriers of paper-based documents, paintings and calligraphies, which are of great importance for historical and cultural heritage studies. This research developed the attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared(ATR-FTIR) spectroscopic technique for the analysis of Chinese handmade papers. The test was applied to Chinese handmade papers taken from bark, hemp and bamboo groups, followed by papers from ancient books and arts collected in library and museum. Our study indicated tliat FTIR was an efficient analytical method to identify fiber types of library/museum papers of unknown origin. Moreover, information about degree of crystallinity and state of deterioration of cellulosic fibers was learned from FTIR spectra. | 20 | Two hydroxypyruvate reductases encoded by OsHPR1 and OsHPR2 are involved in photorespiratory metabolism in rice显示文摘Mutations in the photorespiration pathway display a lethal phenotype in atmospheric air,which can be fully recovered by elevated CO2.An exception is that mutants of peroxisomal hydroxypyruvate reductase(HPR1)do not have this phenotype,indicating the presence of cytosolic bypass in the photorespiration pathway.In this study,we constructed overexpression of the OsHPR1 gene and RNA interference plants of OsHPR1 and OsHPR2 genes in rice(Oryza sativa L.cv.Zhonghua 11).Results from reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR),Western blot,and enzyme assays showed that HPR1 activity changed significantly in corresponding transgenic lines without any effect on HPR2 activity,which is the same for HPR2.However,metabolite analysis and the serine glyoxylate aminotransferase(SGAT)activity assay showed that the metabolitefiux of photorespiration was disturbed in RNAi lines of both HPR genes.Furthermore,HPR1 and HPR2proteins were located to the peroxisome and cytosol,respectively,by transient expression experiment.Double Research mutant hpr1 hpr2 was generated by crossing individual mutant of hpr1 and hpr2.The phenotypes of all transgenic lines were determined in ambient air and CO2-elevated air.The phenotype typical of photorespiration mutants was observed only where activity of both HPR1 and HPR2 were downregulated in the same line.Thesefindings demonstrate that two hydroxypyruvate reductases encoded by OsHPR1and OsHPR2 are involved in photorespiratory metabolism in rice. | Nenghui Ye Guozhen Yang Yan Chen Chan Zhang Jianhua Zhang Xinxiang Peng | 2014 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2014,56,2: | 2 |
